a plate of pasta with shrimp and garlic bread

Stayed at the resort for the weekend with my family. Our first waiter i don't remember her name. She was amazing super friendly and cheerful, she even offered us food that wasn't on the menu. The first night I had shrimp scampi it was very tasty, the second night I had steak with roasted potatoes. My potatoes wasn't cooked fully through. The waiter Candace wasn't a talkative as our first waiter. Staying here for the weekend they need a better variety of foods.

No omelette station and the scrambled eggs are not real eggs. The salad bar looked like withered 3 day old spinach.

The new chef is bringing such a fresh, creative energy to the menu. We started with calamari served with a black garlic aioli that was absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I had scallops over creamy polenta with pomegranate seeds, pomegranate molasses, fresh mint, and lemon. The combination was bright, balanced, and incredibly flavorful. It was one of those dishes that makes you stop between bites just to appreciate how well everything works together. A big part of what keeps us coming back is our waitress. We always ask to sit in her section because her service is consistently outstanding. She's warm, attentive without hovering, and her recommendations have never steered us wrong. She clearly knows the menu and genuinely wants guests to have a great experience. It's exciting to see a restaurant we already loved taking chances with fresh, seasonal ingredients and unexpected flavor combinations. We shared our excitement with our waitress, and she and the chef were genuinely thrilled to hear how much we enjoyed everything. Powerhouse has always been a favorite of ours, but this felt like the start of an exciting new chapter. We can't wait to come back and see what the chef creates next.

As was the buratta and the pork belly Mac and cheese. The drinks were fantastic and they did the courtesy of not ripping you off for good alcohol. The duck wontons were great as well. Once seated, we were greeted promptly with water and our server took our initial drink, appetizer, and dinner orders without issue. The appetizers arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but after that, the service began to decline. We had to ask twice just to order a second round of drinks. When the entrees arrived, everyone at the table received their meal except me. The server asked if everyone had their food, and I told her that I was still waiting for my Steak Frites special. She checked her order book, said something, and walked away. Unfortunately, no one returned to update us. After waiting another 10 minutes, I encouraged the rest of my family and friends to begin eating so their meals wouldn't get cold. When there was still no update, I flagged down another server, who said they would check with the kitchen. A few minutes later, they returned and said they weren't sure what had happened but that my meal was being prepared. After another 10 minutes passed, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told there wasn't a manager available and that they understood my frustration. By this point, it was nearly 9:30 p.m., my entire table had nearly finished eating, and I still hadn't received my dinner. When my steak finally arrived, it wasn't what I had ordered. I had ordered the NY Strip Steak Frites special but instead received a 10-ounce sirloin. Again, the explanation was simply that they weren't sure what had happened--perhaps another guest had received my order or there had been a mistake in the kitchen. To the restaurant's credit, they removed my steak from the bill. However, what disappointed me most wasn't the mistake itself--it was the lack of communication and customer service. Throughout the entire situation, no one came back to provide updates, apologize directly, or offer a meaningful resolution. In fact, my server never spoke to me directly about the issue after realizing there had been a problem; I learned my meal had been removed from the bill through another member of our party. Mistakes happen in every restaurant, especially on a busy night. What leaves a lasting impression is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, while the food we did receive was good, the customer service fell well short of what I expected.

I called 15 mins before going asking if there was a wait for a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids) and since there wasn't a wait, we headed over hoping there wasn't going to be a brunch rush or something, especially on new year day. We got here and were greeted by every staff and sat down right away in the back (which was perfect). Our drink orders were take right away and our waitress was so friendly and patient with us when we started ordering our food. Food came out fairly quickly and it was SO good, I didn't even take pictures! All I have to say is that my group ordered different things from the menu and no one was disappointed with what they got. I don't remember the name of my dish, but it was basically sausage on biscuits smothered in gravy and a side of home fries. This is definitely a place I would come back to if I was ever in the area again. The place was a little dated but I loved the open kitchen and the friendliness of the staff. Good food and friendly staff is always a 5 star in my books
