Dined here during a bachelorette weekend and was impressed how they handled our group of 10. The menu is huge, with additional specials, and plenty of mocktails and cocktails. Drinks, apps, and entrees came out quickly which was impressive for our large group. The only downfall was how expensive this place was. Simple pasta dishes were over $25, add any protein and your meal is $30+. Cocktails were $17! One of the nicer places in the area but the pricing didn't match the leveling of dining.

Was driving home from our weekend at Jim Thorpe and stopped here for lunch. The place is very nice and feels very new. Great outdoor area and seems to have a lot of events. The service was great and the owner came up to our table and was so friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge! Overall a great spot!

    Delicious Chicken Parm!

Outstanding service. Highly recommend the onion rings, house made kettle chips, chicken parm and chicken cutlet sandwich. Portions are large. The menu has many options. There is also quite a comprehensive list of mocktails as well as signature cocktails, etc. This is definitely a must try if you happen to be in the area.

Sipped in for late lunch and was welcomed by the owner and the staff. Everyone made us feel very comfortable and the food was fresh and delicious. Restaurant is dog friendly and Maggie gives it five stars

An unexpected surprise to find this restaurant in a small Pocono town. Great service, clean atmosphere and new decor. The service reminded me of a diner. The wide variety menu was amazing which should please all types of customers. Plenty of parking and a nice large deck for outdoor seating as well.

    Rum cake.

After spending the day exploring Jim Thorpe PA, stopped here for dinner. Great family atmosphere. Our server, Denise, was great. My guest had shrimp cocktail and the 5 shrimp were enormous. She ordered filet bourguignon and asked to substitute the pasta for vegetables. No problem and tasted great. I had a breaded pork chop. Even though menu said 14oz, I was not prepared for just how big it would be. Done perfectly. The only hiccup was my date's dessert; listed as a rum cake, just not what she expected. Tasty but very dense. Still not enough to ruin the visit. Great place.

Melissa (Moon) is the BEST bartender ever! This is our go to spot when in the Jim Thorpe region. It's only been open a year and they really got it down PAT! The drinks are fantastic as is the exceptional food. Once you have a big bowl of the lobster bisque (14) dollars, you'll be back for more! Rivals any we ever had and we're foodies in our sixties! The chicken parm was huge and delicious, I could only eat half after the bisque. So filling! Sturdy to go container made it a breeze to pack up. We also had the fried shrimp appetizer which rocked with peach sauce. The blackened shrimp in the Alfredo was the bomb as was the pasta and sauce. The lobster Mac and cheese was also to die for! Corona on tap with lime so yummy too. Go to the bar and ask for Melissa, aka. Moon. Tell her Bob and Carol said Hi please. We actually miss her and can't wait for our next concert at Penns Peak, nearby so we can visit again. Worth the trip from anywhere. We came from Binghamton NY.

It was my birthday so I got a surprise bread pudding!!

Visiting the area and I normally know exactly where I want to eat after doing my research. Today, we happened to pass by this restaurant and it looked nice so we did what we did before Yelp was a thing .. we judged it by its cover, and boy am I glad we did!! The staff couldn't have been nicer and several of them checked on us throughout the meal, including the owner. We ordered burnt ends, pilgrim with chips and Cole slaw, chicken parm with beef barley soup. Everything was excellent!! My husband and I tasted everything and we both agreed the parm was a 10, including the pasta and the sauce (he did ask for extra sauce which the owner delivered himself -- it was very good!) Portions are very generous and we took half back to our rental to eat the following day for lunch .. it was just as good!! Finished the meal with a surprise piece of bread pudding (my fav dessert) and it was awesome too! We're only here a few more days but plan to go back for dinner and then stop for some of the lobster bisque to take home as everyone was raving about it. Atmosphere was great .. indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean, including restrooms. Wish we lived closer!!

Food was absolutely incredible. The fusilli misto was out of this world. Our server, Ali, really made the experience worth while. Would highly recommend.

Really good food but we ate it all before taking a photo!

Came there once during summer and had lunch on the deck and sandwich and salad were ok nothing crazy, a little pricey for the small portion. Just came again for dinner with my husband and I am Italian so I am picky with my pasta. I didn't realize most of the menu is Italian so we both tried ordering pasta just to test it out. Was very surprised it was amazing! Entrees came with soup or salad and the pasta was excellent. I had the Alfredo sauce and it was seasoned perfectly and he had the eggplant parm the marinara was also great. We tried the cheese cake after and was so good! Will be back for dinner. Sorry for the photo of empty plate we just ate and forgot to get a picture first! But we ate it all

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

After having our GPS take us a ways around we got to Union Publik House and there were regulars in there already. There's a few tables and we were greeted warmly and since we were a group of five, took the larger table in the back by the kitchen. Our server was also friendly and helpful. He recommended the burgers but said just about everything we would order would be good and he was right. My wings were big and tasty, the burger we ordered was cooked as requested, the Ceasar salad was good but the chicken add-on was a bit overdone and dry, the other salad with add-on salmon was a nice big piece of fish that was quickly eaten, and the BBQ sandwich my kid had was gone in what seemed like seconds. We started with some mozzarella sticks which were fine, the pirogies were better than fine, and the homemade chips with salsa were also quickly eaten. Drinks were canned sodas at $3 each and I also had an unsweetened ice tea for the same price. I think you'll also like UPH for your lunch or dinner. We'd come back. $125 total including tax and tip for five people.

The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.

Plus, it's a hidden gem kind of place for us, since we're not from the area and it took a little digging. They have the reviews to get your interest, and the food lived up to the hype. We came here after a charity MS Walk held at the Iron Pigs stadium in Lehigh Valley, heading north on the way home to Bear Creek. My brother noted how close they are to Penn's Peak, and since I've never been, it looks like we have a great place to chill post-concert when I finally get myself to a show there. The cheesesteaks are a far cry from wiz-wit, but that's how you want it and the chopped pickles bring that hit of acid, not Phish-enduced. The chicken sandwich was enormous but you could still get a solid grip; incredible crunch, flavor that's just more than the hot honey heat, and a refreshing crisp from the lettuce on that buttery bun. The Bourbon Blackberry BBQ pork was on the sweeter side, but why the hell not; the meat was still savory, the cheddar was the right call and the slaw cut through it all. The mussels were a special for the day; elevated and so flavorful, they could have been on any big city menu.
