I made the mistake of not reading the whole description of the item as in it came on a salty wallet. My rueben sandwich was very salty so we're the fries. We went there last night. I ordered the small salad and the hot dog with chilli wo the onions and relish. It was delicious but the chilli was a bit salty as were the fries. My wife ordered the shrimp and Lima beans. The shrimp were extremely salty to where she couldn't eat them. Our waiter was extremely attentive as he brought her a table cloth when she was cold and brought her more shrimp that were perfect. This was our second time eating here and we may wait a while before we come back. Back when this place was newly remodeled, and just coming online, we tried to visit and it was a training day for the staff so we were turned away. Well, we finally made it for a visit. Looking for all day breakfast. We ordered our breakfast items at 11:30 AM and it seem to take quite a while like we surprised the kitchen with that type of order. My wife's two eggs, sausage, and biscuit. Turned out great. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a side of grits, and when the food came out, the person delivering the food tried to give us somebody's brisket selection. That was ok, a mistake, but they were missing my side order of grits. The person that delivered seem to be a manager so I was hopeful for a quick resolution, thinking he would've taken care of that error. It took another 10 minutes for our waitress to come by and ask our status, finding that we were still waiting on a ordered item. Overall, the service was OK, but it appears like the training didn't take, for great service. Teamwork does not seem to exist. Our waitress seemed new and tentative, afraid to bug us. The front host seemed more engaged in take out orders than customers inside or departing. No interest or acknowledgement of those leaving. I have great hope for this place where great resources were use to open a renewed place. BTR needs more places like this once they are fine tuned. read more

Best restaurant I've eaten at in Louisiana yet. If I could give six stars I would. Spoke and Hub had a great atmosphere. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. The owner was very present and made an introduction which was a breath of fresh air, I commend the personal accountability approach with the business. The food was served in good portions for a fair price. All the food served to us was delicious. It was hard to find something on the menu I didn't want to try, which is why my family and I will be making the out of town trips to eat there again, and again. We went on a pretty busy day, but it didn't take long for us to get seated. They also had plenty of patio space if you enjoy outside dinning. You have to try this, I promise a good experience. The food was delicious, the service was perfect, and the ambiance was relaxing and pretty. We sat on the patio, but the bar is beautiful and we will be sitting there at another time. They staff even hand wrote a happy birthday card for us and had everyone sign it and brought out an extra dessert! So thoughtful! My daughter and I tried Spoke & Hub for the first time during restaurant week last year. We've been fans ever since. The food is amazing and the staff has excellent customer service. Our waiter last night was Donovan and we loved him! He was so attentive and treated us like we were VIPs. I tipped him 50% of what our total meal cost was bc I was so impressed. Love this place. Food is great. The Hash Puppies are so good, ask for ranch to dip them in! Portions are large. Service is great. I've never seen a crowd for dinner like earlier in the day. Only downside is the restaurant is freezing cold!! Overall a great spot for a great meal. read more

Lunch on a Friday... busy but not crazy.. Service was fast and they did check back a couple times. Very clean and the rackets and booths were well defined in serval areas so that you had a few choices of seating options.. limited menu but serving sizes very generous.. Was really excited to try this place! Menu and location looked amazing! New restaurant sooo was not trying to be super picky but somethings just can't be done! I came for a work lunch with several coworkers. Everyone that got curly fries was served cold hard fries. When we alerted the waitress and asked for hot fries, another plate of cold fries was brought out. I really think the fries had potential but they were just ice cold so that was a no for me. I got the "Spicy" Chicken Croffle which also had great potential but was not spicy at all, just very salty. The batter was salty and the sauce was salty so just be aware! Hopefully they see this and fix it! I would suggest a name change because the chicken is just overly seasoned not spicy at all, very misleading. Maybe call it the herbed butter chicken, something like that. Also, *hidden fees alert* to make the sandwich a croffle is a $3 up-charge. I missed that on the menu, if it was there at all. My buddy and I were excited to try this place out as it was bicycle themed and we're both avid cyclist. Rode our bikes to the restaurant and to our surprise, no bike racks to be seen. Had to find a street sign to lock our bikes too. If your theme centers around cycling, you need to accommodate cyclist My buddy added his name to the list and was told the wait would be 30 min. We decided to grab drinks at the bar while waiting for a table. Our hostess told us she'd come get us at the bar when a table became available My buddy got a beer, I decided on the Bloody Mary. My buddy was happy with his choice, me on the other hand, got a "Bloody Mary" which resembled more a glass of dark tomato juice with Vodka with no accoutrements like celery, olives, or hot peppers. I asked for spicy, which was just a dash or two of hot sauce and an overabundance of black pepper Our 30 min wait turned into 45 min as we had to check with hostess who forgot to come by the bar when a table opened up. Once we got seated by the hostess, we waited another 10 min before getting the attention of a server. She brought us menus and took our drink order. While she dealt with our drinks, we read through the menu and decided on our apps and entrees: - Chicken Fried Biscuit - Scotch Eggs to be shared - Breakfast Burger She brought our drinks and we ordered. The choices we made sounded great and we were both looking forward to trying the scotch eggs. A few minutes elapsed and she came back informing us that the kitchen had run out of scotch eggs. She also mentioned that the Breakfast Burger had changed from having hamburger patties to sausage patties, and if I was okay with that. I said no and decided to got with the breakfast plate with eggs over easy, bacon and crispy hash browns. Our orders were simple enough but it took over 45 minutes for one of the orders to come out. A runner, not our waitress, brought out the Chicken Fried Biscuit out for my buddy. I had to wait another 10 min before another runner brought my plate out. My friend was happy with his dish. I on the other hand got a plate of eggs that were cooked well done, lightly cooked hash browns and 2 pieces of bacon. My plate was luke warm at best which means it had been sitting for awhile. I proceeded to eat my plate, trying to decide if we should flag down our server and have it re-made. I decided not to because of the possibility of another long wait. If this were Ruth Chris and I was paying $50 for a steak that wasn't cooked to my liking, there's no question. Unlike Ruth Chris, where the servers are very attentive and check back frequently, our server was no where to be seen. I purposely decided to slowly eat my dish. When she did finally appear, she finally refilled my iced tea. She did ask about our dishes and I asked her about the eggs. She casually made a remark "Those aren't over easy" and asked if I wanted the eggs remade. I said no as the place was packed and we didn't want to wait for re-cooked food. We finished our meal and got her attention. She brought our check but didn't bring any attention to any of the managers about the long wait for our food and temperature of our dishes. Although disappointed, I still left her a 20% tip as restaurants in the "SOUTH" do not pay a living wage like the West Coast. I spent $35 in total for lackluster food and cocktails. I've had a better breakfast at Simple Joes Cafe, where they know how to cook eggs. We both left very disappointed about this new place. The optics of this place is great with a beautiful interior, furniture and artwork. The quality of the service and the food are mediocre at best. If this place is going to survive, they need to train their staff well as the attention to detail and customer satisfaction is lacking For now, give this place some time, but I would personally not recommend eating there at this time read more

Absolutely incredible experience. I was visiting from SC, found the restaurant through yelp while looking for a brunch spot. My meal was one of the best I've ever had. The savory croffle (waffle/croissant) was phenomenal. It was as if a waffle and croissant had a love child that I just can't walk away from. The build your own pancake allowed me to indulge in my obsession of all things sweet. I ordered a regular pancake with bananas foster sauce and bananas. It came with a sweet honey butter that melted all the flavors together. Even thought they were busy service was incredible. The waitress was so sweet and the drinks were delicious. There was no rice and when i asked the server she said they don't have rice on the weekend? wth. My husband got a pasta dish and all the pasta were glumped together in a ball. Inedible. My brothers shrimp and grits, had no cheese in them. Very disappointing. None of us took a take home box, that is the ultimate indicator. Excellent! Came here for an early Mother's Day brunch after rescuing a new puppy. Wow, the manager, servers, hostess all were so friendly. The manager brought this poor new puppy scrambled eggs. This is my first time at Spoke & Hub. The restaurant feels somewhat like an old diner. Very comfortable and friendly. The service gets five stars. I was disappointed in the food overall. The eggs were cooked on a too hot skillet leaving the whites hard and crispy. They were also like warm when served. The grits were really good, the bacon was okay and the biscuit was mediocre. We ordered decaf coffee and I could see through the coffee it was so weak. I'm giving a three star and will come back to try lunch or dinner. I'm sure it was just what I ordered and I didn't give the other menu options a chance. read more

I was very disappointed. I read the reviews and they were mixed, so I was let me just give me give it a try. The food wasn't anything to rave about and I know it's not the waiters fault but the service wasn't good at all. My daughters burger wasn't cooked all the way but was super dry I don't even know how that was possible. I had the hot honey sandwich and I didn't taste anything remotely hot about it and the waffle wasn't cooked all the way. I didn't like it all. My drink was alright, it tasted better when it was melted it was the watermelon dole vodka something I can't remember exactly. It was ok. We sat at the bar and had decent service. We ordered the Bloody Mary. It was good. We asked for it spicy and it was. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the oyster Benedict. Both were ok. Nothing to write home about. Mine definitely needed a little kick to it. We might go back and try some other things. You could tell that the staff was still trying to sort things out. I never fault a new restaurant for taking time to figure out the kinks. But that wasn't the reason for having mediocre food. read more
