I didn't even mind how long the wait was because the food was that delish, the music was "bangin" & the customer service was top notch :) buuuuut, if you're in a rush come early and maybe call ahead of time. We ordered quite a few dishes off the menu the first times and came back the next day to try some more! Overall we had the carnitas/ chicken Tinga tacos, chilaquiles, lomo saltado, & rice bowl. I usually don't go for Asian fusion foods after having numerous disappointing experiences in Portland, but Spork is different. I also typically don't go to places for tacos after living in West Phoenix where Mexican food is as authentic as it gets; however, Spork is a real winner. I stopped in for a little post road trip snack and got some chips and salsa as well as some tacos. I got two fish and one pork. This chips and salsa were very good. The salsa is a green salsa and wasn't what I was really craving or expecting but was very good. The fish tacos were nice and crisp and there was no shortage of vegetables. The pork taco has got to be my favorite though. The pork was marinated so well and the cilantro and onion complemented the flavor perfectly. I highly recommend Spork and I owe it to my buddy Eric for making the suggestion. read more

I just went for my second time. The food was solid and consistent with my previous experience, the ambience is just right and the service was friendly. I really only have one nit-picky thing to say about both my trips and that's their bowl selection. They're metal so they spin on the tabletop constantly. And seemingly everything comes in them. It's pretty subpar when you're trying to eat noodles or curry and the bowl is turning. I get that this seems silly and would cost a good amount but we were honestly laughing at how challenging it was at times. read more

Overall: My girlfriend and I have made it a routine dinner stop every time we're in Bend. The atmosphere and food makes it great. Food: I've personally only been here twice and loved it each time. I had the chicken Rice Bowl with cucumber salad which didn't had much flavor but I still liked it. The bowl can also be made with kimchi instead of cucumber salad, which makes sense why it didn't have that much flavor. My girlfriend has the Dan Dan noodles which was full of flavor and well worth the price point for the proportion. We also got the Limeade and it was really refreshing. Service: Not much of it? The place is a mixture between fast food and a sit down type of place like Olive Garden. You grab your menu, wait in a line which can be very long, order at the front, sit down and they bring it to you. The one aspect that I love and wish many other places incorporate is that if the line gets long, another server comes out to only take drink orders. Parking: They have a very small, probably 10 parking spots in the back that they share with our businesses in their area. Yogi Berra, the Yankees catcher in the 1960s, once said: " No one goes there anymore, it's too crowded." Highly recommended by every local website, we went. No reservations. Sigh. It is tucked in a neighborhood with no street lights, so it's easy to miss and parking was a struggle, even on a random Wednesday night. We walked in and it was absolutely packed. It appeared to be a systemic chaotic cluster. But it must work somehow. The line wrapped around the walls and out the door. The kind employee explained the process. But it was just a bit overwhelming. It was hard to see where we would sit and how to order. We left. It just wasn't our style. I want to walk into a place I can exhale, be given a table, a menu, and a meal. Perhaps it was an off night for us. Wow. Interesting to see the manager hugging locals and then asking us to get up from 1 of the 20 empty tables and stand in line (for 40 minutes). People behind us were given seats at the bar. Fitting review below about "organized chaos". I guess it works for the restaurant as they have great reviews overall but they should get off their "hipster" high horse and do table service. We were in bend Oregon for a night and wanted to try out the Spork for the fusion food. I ordered through a phone and ordered Grilled Vegetable Coconut Green Curry and Lemon Rice. I picked up the order in 15 minutes. We got the order and ate it in the hotel. The food was amazing and delicious. The spices were also great. Loved it and loved the curry with the rice. The carnitas tacos were good, but the flavor of the chicken tinga tacos was better. Put the radishes on the tacos- YUM! My husband, myself and kids all LOVED the elote corn- Life changing. We heard the spicy fried chicken was very good. We aren't big spice eaters so we ordered the side of it to try it. It was very yummy but quite spicy. So if you don't do spicy, I'd recommend the chicken tinga tacos. If you like spicy- the spicy fried chicken was absolutely amazing. The coconut lime tres leches cake was yummy but not extraordinary. I hate to rule it out entirely, but it's one of those places that is super busy all the time so without some serious QC, little mistakes and errors quickly mount. We stopped by here on a Saturday night and the place was busy! You order before you're seated, so we waited in line for several minutes before we were able to order. When we placed our order, we were able to quickly find seating indoors (there are tables both indoors and out) and waited for our food and drinks. I ordered the lomo saltado and the meat was really tender. The meat/veg/potatoes themselves were really salty though and needed to be eaten with the rice to cut some of the salt. Overall, the flavors were good, but I could have done with less salt. My friend ordered the spicy fried chicken and while she enjoyed it, she did say it was a little spicier than she would have normally liked and the rice helped cut the heat. The restaurant concept was unique and I enjoyed the blend of flavors, but it felt like they over seasoned (salt, spice) their dishes and relied on the rice to balance it out. read more

The combo is super balanced peanut tomatoes curry and flavorful pozole Rojo. We also ordered kids taco for our boys, and Lomo Saltado(rice dish with meat and fried egg). I would highly recommend the Pozole Rojo as a savory dish. We ended up ordering a second of rice just to finish all the curry and sauces of the Rojo! Came here for a late dinner after going to see a mediocre bend sunset. Really wanted a stellar dinner after such a mediocre experience and got it! I was very intrigued by the fusion aspect of half Mexican and half Asian cuisine. I ended up ordering the lomo saltado which is a collection of rice, egg, steak, red potatoes, and a cream sauce literally everything i love! And it's not spicy for you not spicy eaters like me! They were so nice to give me two containers of cream because I was obsessed with this white sour cream like sauce that went on top! It was a tomato based type meat dish the likes of I have never had before! I also tried my boyfriend's spicy fried chicken. And it was super good as well and not super spicy - even my non spicy self could handle a piece! The place is well decorated and they bring the food to you if you dine in! Most of their food is SUPER good. My boyfriend loves their spicy chicken and gets it each time. I've had a variety of things here. This last time, I had the Thai steak salad. Delicious and super flavorful! I usually ask for more dressing but this time did not need to. It was completely drenched in flavor. Spork bows to the fusion Gods as they take traditional dishes from everywhere a d Mis them up between the Americas and Asia. Their Asian glazed fried chicken is off the charts amazing. The Dan Dan noodles (one of my favorite Szechuan dishes) mixed up in Mexican ole was killer. Everything is done to perfection. Side note- their dishes bring the heat. Not crazy spicy, but if you have someone with you can't handle any spice, be careful. I love spicy so this is my jam. But my wife had a hard time. Love this place. It did take a while to get our food but as promised it was available right at their afore mentioned bewitching hour. And bewitched we were. OMG this place is amazing! We went with another couple and our dog. No trouble finding a park on the street. Lined up to place our order. The interior is very nice and had a fun vibe. People chatted in line while waiting to order... They took a drink order (one per person) while we were waiting so were able to enjoy a cocktail in the queue. Ordered, paid, then headed outside to the patio to find a table. Didn't have to wait long for our meals to come out. Wow! All four of us were blown away. Sooooo good! Can't recall exactly what we ordered as I'm delayed writing this review, but everything is fabulous. You won't be disappointed. The presentation, flavors, quality, were excellent.
