Acura of Riverside is a brand new dealership and has nothing to do with the old Acura dealership in Riverside. You won't go wrong with this one. They don't play games. We made our deal entirely via email with Misty Gonzalez and Ileen Garibay. Their service is top notch. Misty and IIeen are the best, especially Misty. She followed through with every question we asked and was very patient. Misty was also very helpful and efficient. She replied to our email very promptly. She is not pushy and treat us with respect. Their General Manager is very friendly and even came to say hi to us. When you deal with Misty and this dealership, you feel like you can totally trust them. And to top that, they were very accommodating and gave me a good value on my trade-in. And they also gave us a terrific deal on our 2011 MDX. When we went back to the dealership to install the side-step, they even gave us a ZDX as a loaner. I want to recommend Misty and this dealership 200%. Worst service I've ever received at a dealership. So shady the way they were handling the deal. Initially, Chris gave his salesman a certain number for the car and when we asked to work out the payment, the salesman brought another deal with a higher amount for the car. We were trying to find a car for our newly growing family and were willing to work at closing the deal. At the end, he shrugged his shoulders and told us to take the deal or leave it. So disappointed with my experience. Returned a lease I had with them, left a prepaid fastrak transponder in the car by accident. When I went to retrieve it someone had stolen it and the manager kept stringing us along saying they will keep looking for it, until finally they said there's nothing they can do because "this is the first time this has happened." Sorry but even if it's the first time it's still an opportunity for your company to do right by your customer and at least monetarily compensate them for the stolen property that could have only been stolen by one of your employees. We were in the market to buy a 2015 RDX and submitted an online quote request. The sales rep, Ken French contacted us regarding the quote. After your normal round a bout conversation, he asked what are you going to do with a 35 thousand dollar car. We were beyond offended. How inappropriate. Way too many dealerships out there to have to deal with ignorant and rude sales people! Tip to you other buyers, submit multiple online requests, many dealerships beat Riverside Acura offers and weren't rude! Ended up going to Ontario Acura who beat the price that Acura Riverside gave us! And by the way we contacted the manager at the dealership after we got a non-apology email (didn't even have the courtesy to aplogize on the phone). I had the worst experience at this dealership!!!! After 2 days of text messages with Brittney, I was very specific as to what I needed. I explained to her my husband was in the car business so I pretty much needed a bottom line deal. Fortunately everything was done by text so I have the proof as to what I was told. When I arrived at the dealership I felt the girl was already starting the bait and switch nonsense. I had asked her the day prior to take the VIN of my vehicle so they can have an idea where they were at, she didn't! So of course when I get there she starts with unimportant things like color and un necessary paperwork even tried running my credit I said NO thank GOD!!!! she promised me X for my trade in vehicle even admitting in a text she could get in trouble but assured me it was in the computer. So of course when she's done with paperwork she goes to get the blue book value and has the audacity to come back and quiz me on what I said.... So I pulled out my phone where I had already told her this..... At that point its 3 hours and a complete waste of my 60 mile drive and my 3 kids that had to sit there with me.... I asked to speak to the sales manager....... after 5 mins he strolls out in saggy jeans, tennis shoes not looking anything like a manager of a store..... I purposely had my husband listening on the phone, I started to tell him why I was upset and what had happened and told him they should have taken the VIN before I could finish he cut me off very rudely not even allowing a customer to speak. My husband asked him why he won't allow me to speak and his response was to leave the dealership as he opened the door! This dealership was empty not a single sole from 6:30 on....... The girl had hand tattoos and faded jeans and the so called sales manager had zero management and or customer service skills told me his name was Chris!!!! Don't waste your time this dealership is horrible and filled with low class low skilled people who lack any and all customer service skills. Don't bring your car here. They don't do what they are supposed to do. I took my car last week for a B13 service. They didn't rotate the tires and brake a wheel lug stud. I intentionally marked one of the tire air cap just to see if they really rotate tires. When I picked up my car, I checked and the air cap was at the same spot. I showed it to the guy and he ignored me. I had to talk to a manager and same thing. I even showed him a different tire that had a small screw. Theses 2 tires were supposed to be at a different place except here. They didn't believe me. Don't take your car here!! read more

I was already an Acura customer. I was currently leasing a 2016 Acura TLX and I was looking to cut my expenses so I wanted to lease a 2018 Acura ILX. Brittany gave me AMAZING customer service even after I came in a few days earlier and gave her major attitude. After calling her and apologizing, I told her what I wanted, completed an application on my phone and showed up to the dealership with my new car waiting in the entrance for me to take him home. :-) I spent maybe 45 minutes in the dealership signing paperwork, which is unheard of. Ken, Thank you for your response but unfortunately your lack of truth has forced me to yet again rectify a wrong. First there are three sides to every story, not two and those are "yours, mine and the truth". The second thing is I did not make an egregious attack on you or your sales team, I simply stated my feelings of discrimination based on the events that occurred. To your remark that this transaction was "no different than any other retail transaction where quantities are limited or in this case, only one available" would also be wrong. Allow me to explain; If I am in a department store and grab the very last shirt, and continue to shop, the store manager would not ask me to allow someone else to try it on, nor would they take it from me to sale to someone else. The shirt is simply off the table for any other customer until I set it down and walk away. To do anything else is an act of refusal to sale which is an merchants right so long as it cant be determined it was predicated on discrimination of a protected class. The "shirt" is the vehicle in question here. The keys should have remained in our possession as customer who demonstrated intent and capacity to purchase a vehicle. Next, you were so kind to falsely say that we did not agree to purchase the vehicle until after it was sold. I think anyone following this thread can agree the vehicle was not "sold" at any point. There may have been a meeting of the minds but there was not a written contract and an exchange of money, which is required when selling personal property greater than $500. So lets get back to the facts. The facts are we were actively negotiating the price of the vehicle as any smart consumer does. We had actually already conceited that we would purchase the vehicle at its full asking price after being rejected that our offer was to low and were now negotiating the value of a trade for a 2002 Honda Odyssey to use towards a down payment. It was at this point that your floor manager left to find out some information and then came back to us. Upon his return he said " The other people we let test drive the car are filling out a CREDIT APP to purchase the car at full price and I am going to give you the opportunity of first right of refusal. I will repeat again that we asked for 5 minutes to discuss this as it meant we would no longer be negotiating the value of the trade and just buying the vehicle outright. Our request for 5 minutes was granted only to be cut short by an egregious lie by your sales manager that you had overridden the him and agreed to sale the car to the second offer. If you will recall you personally said " You never told him that, that you only text him they are filling out an app". It was because of these actions that I had to question what gave the other peoples offer priority over ours. As we were purchasing virtually with cash since we were pre approved with check in hand. We were also on your appointment board for this car, another demonstration of our willing and capable intent to purchase the car. So it is with this that I leave it in your capable hands to clarify these elements should you chose: 1. Why did your sales manager offer a first right only to reject it with a lie (that lie being you verbally conveyed a "yes" to the other offer? 2. What was the determining factor that allowed the other family to purchase the car second to our offer? read more

It's been a long ordeal with Spreen Acura but now that all has been said and done, I can honestly say that I am very happy with the service I have received. In the first week of March, my husband and I decided to stop by Spreen Acura to check out an MDX. I was helped by Rommel, a hard working, nice young gentleman. I ended up buying a new 2018 MDX and at the time of purchase, we also decided to add running boards (for my kids and for me because I'm short). There were 3 options and we chose the Sport running board. This one turned out to be a big mistake for us because for some reason it only has a step for the 2nd row and not the front row, making it pointless for the short driver and front row passenger. Unfortunately the picture of the Sport running boards on the Acura website does not clearly show this, so we couldn't tell. So a week later or so, I went to pick up the car after the running boards were installed and to my surprise, I noticed the lack of running board for the front row. I was disappointed but in a hurry to pick up my kids so I left. The very next day I called Rommel asking him if there was any way I could exchange them for the advance running boards and that I would pay the difference in price of the boards ($34) and the installation cost (within reason). The initial response after Rommel checked with his boss was "No." I was extremely disappointed, since I hadn't even stepped on the boards yet and I had offered to pay for the exchange, not like I was asking for a freebee. I obviously wasn't happy and Rommel knew this, so after several weeks and lots of calls/texts back and forth and Rommel's hard work and persistence to keep the customer happy and satisfied, I finally got the call from Rommel that they were willing to trade in my boards for the one I wanted at a cost of $400.00. Knowing that we initially chose the wrong running boards, I agreed with paying the $400.00 out of pocket. Rommel advised me that Service would call me soon to set up my installation appointment but 2 more weeks went by with nothing. So I decided to call and follow up and I spoke to Kyle Lucas from the Service Department who seemed unaware of such an appointment and vaguely knew what I was talking about. He said he'd look into it and would call me back. About 30 minutes later I got a call from Anthony from Service to schedule the installation and finally 2 days later I got the boards exchanged! But then came time to pick up my car and keys. The girl at the counter tells me my cost was over $1000.00! I was completely shocked. We spoke to Anthony who had no idea what was going on. I advised him that I had spoken to Rommel and my cost would be no more than $400.00 + tax. It was late Friday so he asked me to take my car home and that he would contact me come Monday after he would speak to some people. Monday came and went.. and another 2-3 weeks. I didn't get a call so I decided to call again and follow up on payment since I didn't want this issue hanging over my head anymore and just wanted to pay and be done with it. I spoke to Anthony who informed me that I should've gotten a call from some other department in regards to the payment. I advised him I hadn't received any calls so he said that he would look into it. Anthony called me back within 10 minutes and told me that he spoke to some managers and Spreen Acura decided to call it a wash on the payment! So I didn't owe them anything! It was definitely a nice surprise and I was so excited to finally have the boards I wanted and be done with the whole ordeal. Although it took weeks to resolve, I am thankful for the outcome and I can now say I love my new car. I want to thank Rommel again for his hard work, his persistence and great customer service. We don't own an Acrua, never have, and likely never will. I have no idea how we got on their "list", but they keep calling us, emailing us, and sending us snail mail. We don't live in Riverside, so I have no idea how this happened. I've called them several times and asked that they remove all of our info from their database. They tell me they "can't", or they "don't know how", or they tell me somebody will have to call me back. Nobody ever calls back. They aren't even polite when we call. A couple times they've transferred us to sales people and have tried to convince us to come in. Not going to happen. I have a 2019 RDX and I have been dealing with the service department going on 3 months. My sunroof has water damage and they replaced it but did a poor job of installing it. The rubber lining around the sunroof is bulging out and they say they don't see a problem even when it's the second time it's been replaced. They also agreed to replace the seat because the stitching is coming undone and it's still covered by the manufacturers warranty. I have been waiting since April when they placed the order they have had my car for two weeks and now they call me saying they are not going to cover the seat repair. This entire time I have been waiting and now that they've been holding on to my car for 2 weeks they surprise me with now their not going to cover it 100%. I have owned several other cars and this is my first acura and I have never had my vehicles fall apart so quickly. I would suggest anyone buying Acuras to be careful they are not quality vehicles I am regretting my purchase. read more

Went in a couple months ago to look at the new RDX with my husband. We are both in our early 30s but admittedly look pretty young, and we were treated like children. When asking to test drive the car, we were told by the horrible sales rep (female with tattoos) that the vehicles are not toys. That is POOR customer service at its finest. We still plan to purchase a RDX and are serious buyers but definitely will not return to this terrible dealership because of the judgements and awful service we received. Take your money elsewhere. Okay, first off, I wanna say that my buying experience was AWESOME. I was treated good even though I am a girl. Very surprised. But I must say the Service Dept. needs some improvement. I dealt with Hugo over there, and all I can say is he is an ass-HOLE!!! I have never had someone talk to me like I was a child like he did. I thought this experience was mine alone till I mentioned to my sister who bought a car there too, and she cut me off before I could finish and asked me if I was talking about Hugo. I replied, "yes." And she went on to tell me a story about what an arrogant jack-ass he was with her too. How many complaints does a person need to get in order for that person to be "fixed"? I received impressive service from everyone at Spreen Acura. Kyle took me right in and had a shuttle car waiting for me to go home. As soon as I got home, I received a call my vehicle was ready and a shuttle was already on its way and the shuttle driver was friendly and professional. The price of service was less than what I expected and the quality far exceeded my expectation. As soon as I got out of the shuttle, my car pulled up sparkling clean. I went straight to the cashier to pay my bill and she was lovely and down to earth. I was so impressed with the speed and quality of service I considered it a fluke but also told friends about it. I would only go here to service my car and I feel buying my 2018 Acura TLX was a wise decision. As a long time owner of Acuras, when it came time for my parents to buy a new car, I recommended the new RLX. They test drove it in Riverside while they were on a business trip, and decided it was the right car for them. Generally, they would have purchased at a dealership closer to their home but Acura of Riverside did a great job of not only getting them the best price, but also facilitating a very easy transaction. Their sales person Taylor Ferguson made sure each and every detail was handled properly and professionally. He has even called them to follow up and helped them in person to set up all the technology in the car. (Too much tech for senior citizens as my mom puts it!) Being here after going to many Acura dealers in OC and Riverside County, I would say this is the best dealer so far. Not only they have the best deals, but they also take customer service seriously. Jonathan (Sales), Ken (Finance) and Anthony (Service) made my 2016 Acura MDX SH-AWD purchase so easy and wonderful. They treat me so well. The only bad thing is that I live 40 mins away and have to travel the long way to do my service (especially on rush hour, it's nightmare - 91 freeway). Ive gotten a new tire here out of desperation but I came for an oil change today and I had called in advance to see get an estimate on how long it would be and i was ready to wait an hour and a half after they told me it wasn't busy. For an Acura dealership this place was extremely disappointing! I went into the dealership in search of a specific used Acura and a price in mind that I hoped to pay for the vehicle. Initially the staff was helpful and courteous. I spent a few hours there but in the end I left to think about the price we had reached. Not more than 2 days later I see that the asking price for the two vehicles I was most interested in had dropped by around $1000 each putting them in the price range I wanted to pay. I sent a text to the salesperson ready to work out the deal. The salesperson responded that they did not know the price had dropped and that the price didn't include the $1000 security system that had been installed on the vehicle. I informed the salesperson that I had no desire for the security system and would like to move forward with the deal without it. The reply was that the sales manager refused to remove it from the deal because of the labor that had been performed to install it. Needless to say I decided not to move forward siting other Acura dealerships that have stickers on their vehicles that state that the security system is installed to protect the vehicle while on the lot but CAN BE purchased if customer desires. Days go by and I receive a text from a different salesperson asking if I was still interested. I replied that I would be only if the security system is off the table. To which the salesperson replied that it would be worked out with the sales manager. So I went in a couple days later to sign on the deal. After arriving and filling out some paperwork the salesperson tells me that the sales manager noticed that the vehicle that was advertised as Certified had recently been de-Certified and would need to be re-Certified to get the low interest rate and that would take 24 hours. I left upset at what seemed to me to be nonsense. The next day the salesperson contacted me saying that the process had not been completed, likely because the 24 hours expired on a weekend and that he would contact me on Monday to confirm. That call never came on Monday and I was over this dealership at that point. Upon visiting another Acura dealership in my area and relaying my experience the salesperson there informed that he had customers relay similar experiences with Spreen Acura and that the whole de-Certified/re-Certified thing sounded "fishy." Honest, straight-forward & competitive with their pricing...getting my TSX from Acura of Riverside was hands down one of the best car buying experiences i've ever had. After much research on pricing from other dealers, I was able to work with Ileen Garibay (of the internet sales dept) to finalize a price prior to my drive to Riverside from LA County (it was worth the long drive!). She was very responsive & true to her word on the price once i arrived at my appointment. The car was parked in front...washed & ready to go. Ileen took the time to throughly show me the features of the car & offered me water for the hot day. There were no games or other sales tactics to sell me products i wasn't interested in.
