So very disappointed in Spring Creek BBQ off Preston in Frisco. I ordered online and went to pickup. I should have checked my order but after working all day I was tired and hungry. I got a half pound ribs and half pound pull pork and some sides for my mother and I to celebrate pre-4th of July. So is it me or did the weights change? Is this actually a half pound of each. Barely made 1 sandwich and we got 2 1/2 ribs each. all this for $50 it's crazy Never again!

Brisket and sausage plate

Had the brisket and sausage plate. Plenty of food. Came with two sides and bread. Also servers goes around with as much fresh hot bread as you want. Enjoyed the potato salad. The brisket was kind of dry and needed better flavor. The sausage was good. Typical Texas bbq with food line.

We had our weeknight dinner and tried their BBQ ribs. It's delicious. Serving staff are friendly and attentive. Well lighted and decorated.

Let's eat at the Creek!

To me, Sprint Creek may not be that overpriced Texas best bbq, but it's sure GOOD BBQ at a decent price. I'm not real big on brisket. I'm a ribs guy. For the price, you get a pretty decent order of ribs, then pick your sides. Don't forget the excellent rolls. She brings them around fresh all the time! I've been to this location several times and the employees are always friendly and helpful. As usual, I'm to full for dessert, but you can always take some home! Join the email club so you can get some specials. If you're looking for BBQ that won't break the bank, Spring Creek is your place.

Pros: + My favorite BBQ spot in Dallas + Amazing Sauce + Hot fresh, out of the oven bread that keeps circulating + Soft, tender chicken - much better than any other BBQ chicken Cons: - Side dishes have gone down hill - I usually get Mac & Cheese and Baked Beans - No more unlimited sides IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Please...someone is gonna have to intervene! A lot of employees standing around the ,front behind the counter, supposed to be serving but yapping! Really my experience with service at the last several locations Ive been to is severely lacking. Only a corporate intervention is gonna save them. They have what I consider a great bogo deal. Its been going on for decades. You get a coupon in the mail once a week for a buy one get one free rib dinner. They serve you about 7 ribs,2 sides, rolls sauce etc. It is a delicious bargain. However, its not what it once was and for some reason Spring Creek is rollling down hill at all their locations and no one seems to want to save them. We are living in a Gold Rush Texas Bar B Que era and these guys just cant get it done. Their other meats arent worth trying. Stick with the BOGO rib dinner, enjoy your delicious meal and be happy.

Great food, friendly and hard-working employees and the best all you can eat rolls around!

We always have great food and service every time we go. My husband likes the lean brisket, potato salad and beans. I get the pepper sausage and baked potato (loaded with cheese, sour cream, butter, bacon and chives). The all-you-can-eat rolls are the best in town and they come to your table to fill you up! On Sundays they give us free Blue Bell ice cream too! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Most importantly they are well-staffed.

combo - the portion size is so small!! highway robbery. should've checked the box before leaving the store
Jenny H.

Y'all what happened?? The takeout combo portion size appears to have shrunk. Is it because of inflation? Is this change here to stay? Otherwise the ribs, rolls, and sides survived the trip home well and are reasonable portion sizes.

That all changed and was very noticeable during fathers day and especially this weekend during July 4th! The past few weeks when calling in to check for food availability or how busy it was, Ive noticed the same person answering every single one of my calls that I had to double take and make sure I called the right place! When I mentioned my concern about the massive line wrapped around the building during fathers day, mothers day and this weekend, the same lady named Kayla answered the phone. I was about to leave and she assured me that it would move fast and not to worry and that they had samples to ease some hunger while waiting. Sure enough, she was exactly right! To top it all off, after we got our food and sat down, she actually went above and beyond to come over to our table and check on us just because I had called to thank her for helping me from not leaving to the amazing customer service she provided. I let her know that is very rare now days and not to ever change that! I found out after meeting her that shes about to head out on maternity leave soon and honestly, I'm going to be a little sad when she leaves! She is a massive asset to the Hutchins team and can change the mood just by her smile and friendliness. Not only that, she gave a lot of good recommendations for trying some new foods at Hutchins and every time has been a good call! Give this girl a raise!! I wish Kayla the absolute best and I'll definitely be looking out for her when she gets back! Our server, I believe her name is Cynthia, was also fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed at the table. Excellent food, legendary customer service from Kayla, and a great experience overall! Its like our first time coming in each and every time.

Bbq was very good, seasoned well and the bbq sauce really was a standout. I don't usually do a lot of sauce. Spicy was delish.

The food was good, if not the greatest BBQ I've ever had, but the overall experience was much fun. The restaurant is in the form of a large barn with ample seating and a walk-through line where you can pick out your meat and then any sides and drinks you'd like. I enjoyed having the "conundrum" of trying to figure out which of the meats to try as they stare at you from the smoker, all saying, "Pick me!" My first visit to any BBQ place is nearly always to try the pulled pork, figuring that if they can't get that right, nothing else is likely all that good. That's not always true, but since pulled pork is one of my favorites, it's a good approach anyway. :) I took my platter laden with an abundant amount of pulled pork and then selected corn on the cob, cole slaw, a slice of custard pie, and a sweet tea. After paying, I made my way into the main dining area and selected a high-top wooden table along the wall that was, shall we say, very awkward to sit at based on how the stationary stool was positioned in conjunction with the table, so I moved to a nearby regular table that was just fine. There's plenty of outdoor seating, but based on the temperature that day, I chose to stay inside. Digging in, I found the pulled pork to be good, but it was a little dry and salty. The standard house BBQ sauce was good, though, and the corn on the cob was very nice. The cole slaw was about what you'd expect, and the custard pie was tasty, even if it wasn't the best I'd ever had. The sweet tea was excellent. What I probably loved most, though, was eating all this in that environment, with the Texas-American paraphernalia hanging on the walls and a radio station playing nothing but 80s and 90s country music over the speakers--the years when I loved country the most. I wanted a BBQ experience as big as Texas while I was here, and I got that. For that reason, my visit to Hard Eight was a hit, and I will happily visit again on a future trip.

But our curiosity based on reviews and menu options got us to decide on this place. We seated ourselves as place was basically empty. Ordered Rattlesnake Bites(corn), chips and queso and waffle fried with Mojo mayo! For the main course, 4 of us got different entrees. I got the smashed burger with hill country on bed of nachos, my wife is vegetarian so she got the grilled avocado with Fajita Cantina on bowl of buttered lime rice. Our friends got Brisket on hacienda and then had switch it to hill country as the hacienda had tomatoes in queso and bowl of buttered lime rice and smoked chicken with buttered lime rice. None of the entries had any flavor. Hill country tasted like only BBQ sauce and there was not even a hint of mole. Brisket was fine but damp rice made the entree subpar Grilled avocado wqs grilled and again the rice was damp. Smoked Chicken was hard as well. Appetizers were the only good part of experience. Waitress stopped by and asked us if everything was good, my wife said food was mediocre. There was nothing done to make it right. I managed to finish mine but rest of them left the restaurant without finishing and hungry. 14$+ for an entree and it lacked anything to write about. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for the food or service.

I ate the popper, lb&j, and the cowboy, which I love (ate the smokehouse in the past and that's also a top choice). The Cowboys pimento cheese was just the right amount of cheese for the slider and the jalapeno cilantro aioli was an outstanding addition to it. The PB&J - I'm a sucker for jam in a burger and the blackberry jam was refreshing and cool and paired great with the bacon in the peanut butter while still complimenting the meat. The Popper had a lot of rosemary lime aioli which was delicious to bite into. I've been here several times and narrowed down to my favorite 4. The sides (waffle fries, extra sugary drinks, onion rings) could be improved but while the sliders are pricy, they leave a great impression. Cowboy - Beef, pimento cheese, crispy onion straws, jalapeño cilantro aioli - DELICIOUS. the pimento cheese was the star of the show and made the slider taste extra good 2. Smokehouse - Beef, smoked brisket, Cheddar, pickled red onion, house BBQ sauce, rosemary lime aioli - I enjoyed this the only downside was the brisket was dry and made me so thankful for the drink that came with my meal. 3. Popper - Beef, fried jalapeño & cream cheese, pepper jam, bacon, cilantro, rosemary lime aioli - DID NOT ENJOY. Unfortunately the jam that this burgie came with just overpowered the whole thing and not in a good way. It did not mesh with the rest of the ingredients and the popper had no flavor or filling. It just flattened when I took a bite and I got nothing but a mouthful of that terrible jam. The waffle fries were ok just nothing special. The onion rings though....OMG so crisp, so fresh, so flavorful. Would just come back for those. Service was fine, we were the only people waiting to order so it was quick.
