It's a very typical barbecue place. If you're going to go here don't expect a lot. The potato salad tastes like it's from Walmart. Service was dull. I do appreciate the girl who offered French bread though. I would not come here for the second time. Please provide plasticware for to go orders. Also, baked potatoes are normally served with butter. I asked for toppings on the side including butter. I ordered pick up for 7:30. It was ready but cold. The sausage and ribs were both extremely dry. Maybe ordering lunch will deliver fresher results. Disappointed in my $20 meal. read more

We ordered with door dash. Baked potato, 1/2 lb brisket, 2 meat combo with St. Louis style ribs and brisket, beans and slaw, pecan pie, coconut pie, rolls. Sadly the ribs were dry, potato hardly had toppings and was cold, both pies tasted freezer burnt.. especially the coconut one ( it actually tasted like freezer! ) the rolls were delicious. I ordered the sliced beef brisket sandwich plate with a side of Mac and cheese and baked beans. The sandwich was loaded with juicy brisket. They let you fix your sides and sandwich to your taste. The atmosphere is nice and family friendly. The staff were courteous and were on top of things especially table cleaning. For $9.95 I thought the dinner was very good and worth the price. This review is based on a Door Dash delivery. We ordered Spring Creek BBQ from the Door Dash app. The food was delivered in a reasonable time (33 minutes). Upon opening the bag, first thing we noticed was that the two cobbler desserts were missing. Also, the food was not even warm, it was room temperature. We called the Humble location and had to wait on hold for 15 minutes constantly hearing "You are the 2nd caller". Finally, someone answered. We told them that the desserts were missing and the food was not an acceptable temperature, even for a Door Dash delivery. The young lady on the phone told us that they put the orders on a cart and that it's the driver's responsibility to check the order before he leaves. We said that's not our responsibility and that we wanted the desserts delivered ASAP. She said that we needed to come up there. We said that defeats the whole purpose and if they decide to use Door Dash, then they need to give good customer service to the customer. She basically hung up on us after that. Obviously, never again will we order or eat at Spring Creek BBQ. Just because it's a Door Dash delivery, you don't get push the responsibility off on the delivery company YOU chose to accept to deliver your food. It is Spring Creek BBQ's responsibility to make things right for the customer. Feel free not to reply with your auto-reply BOT message saying to go to the website. I've been to this location about 3 times and the staff is ALWAYS friendly and courteous. The music inside is just the right volume and it matches with their Country Western theme. My family and I eat here often and I don't think I've ever been disappointed. Fried okra is the absolute best! I don't think you can go wrong with any food choices. I got sparked to write a review tonight because I went in and placed a to go order, and I was super impressed at how great the service was... Got me to thinking that it's always great when I go there. In today's world, this is not easy to find. They were incredibly busy at the To go counter, amongst the coronavirus scare, I guess everyone was just wanting to place orders and take it home. The staff was incredible at making sure everyone was taken care of expeditiously and extremely personable to everyone that approached them. On top of the good food, this means everything! This is one of my favorite BBQ joints in Houston. I love the convenience of the location as I live only about five minutes away. This place is very dangerous for my waist line however. The rolls are simply divine. I'm a big fan of their brisket as well as sausage. Their selection of sides are delicious. I always receive good service here whether I dine in or take out. I've used this location many times to cater various events. Here's a tip - they serve vanilla Bluebell ice cream on Sunday afternoons gratis. I can't recommend Spring Creek highly enough. No matter which location I have visited, I have always received excellent service as well as consistently delicious food. What more could you possibly want? I'm a fan. read more

Looking at all these four star reviews makes me think there are a lot of people who don't understand Texas barbecue posting here... We had brisket, sausage (mild), pork ribs, and turkey. The sides were OK (In all fairness, the green beans and the rolls were killer...), but the meat (where the rubber hits the road) was weak. No smoke flavor, the ribs tasted like they were cooked in a microwave oven... If you drown it in barbecue sauce it goes down OK, but good Texas barbecue doesn't need to hide behind BBQ sauce. I've never had bad brisket until tonight. And not just bad, but disgusting. I ate the whole brisket sandwich, which I should have returned after the first few bites, thinking that every slice of meat couldn't be as bad as the last. Every slice was about 90% mushy gelatinous fat, with a bitter charred after-taste. My kids got the chicken and ribs, which were fine. The hot bread didn't make it to our table until we were getting ready to leave, and unlike on our previous visit, it was greasy but tasteless, with no butter. Totally inattentive staff (and the place was well staffed with only three tables occupied). At about $50 for three people we won't be back. It literally looked like someone threw ice from a cooler into a long metal bucket and just through random vegetables in it. But again, what do you expect when you have 16 year olds running a BBQ joint! YUCK! :-/ My sides: 1 - Coleslaw -was definitely off and smelled putrid. I took one bite and said NO MORE! 2 - Mac n'cheese. Pretty hard to mess up, right? This tasted like it was made right out of a box, and a bad one at that. It literally tasted of nothing but was a slight relief from the rest of the meal. Perhaps they had done this intentionally - however the neon yellow noodles remained as another disaster on my plate. Dad could have made them better! 3 - Potato salad. It tasted strongly of chemicals and was probably purchased at Wal-Mart. The only good part of my meal was my Corona, which was bottled and had absolutely no input from them! All in all, I was in and out of the establishment (refuse to acknowledge this as a restaurant) in 20 minutes flat. I paid for myself and a friend which totaled to $37.03 dollars. I would have rather drove down FM 1960 and threw the cash out of the window in $1 bills. It was honestly a waste of time and money. Our plates looked virtually untouched when we left, and I would suggest not touching this place if I were you! I would not feed this to my dog, Susan -it's THAT bad. I did not bother complaining or talking to the manager, because from the standard of food, I imagine it wouldn't have gotten me far. Also, let's be honest, Nobody likes to shout at children (I'm sure their parents do that enough to them at home)! I imagine I would never have gotten so fortunate as to receive my money back, and there is no way that offering me a free meal next time would work - as I do not plan to make sick in my pants again. Spring Creek was one of the first businesses to open up post-Ike last year and it's my fondest memory of the place. After waiting in the massive line for probably half an hour before placing our order, we spent a good two hours here eating a leisurely lunch. It was hard to go back to a stuffy dark house when there was all the A/C and ice that you could ask for at Spring Creek! Ike isn't the only reason I like this place though -- they have some really good food. My two favorite things about Spring Creek are not the BBQ though. My first favorite is the rolls. Oh my yum. They bake these delicious buttery rolls and the second they come out of the oven they are put in a basket and carried around to all the tables by the wait staff. Throughout your meal you can keep getting "out of the oven fresh" rolls to eat with your meal. And oh man do those rolls melt in your mouth. Yum! The second thing I love is the jalapeno ranch dressing. Nothing is better than homemade ranch dressing but the jalapeno aspect really makes this stuff amazing. They pop some fresh jalapenos in the ranch and blend it up so it's slightly green in color and packs a fair amount of heat. The Southwestern salad is my favorite thing there simply because of the dressing. Plus, think about this... pop a couple of the rolls into that dressing and you've got yourself a tiny piece of heaven right there. The BBQ isn't bad either and the bar filled with unlimited sides is something to get excited about. It's hard for me to get excited about sides though when I think about those amazing hot buttery rolls. Delish! read more

Decent bbq. Lunch plate is less than 10 bucks and I got 5 ribs with that. It says two sides but the cashier says its really unlimited sides unless you substitute the two sides for a single premium side. Just go back and ask for a new plate. You scoop it yourself. They come by with fresh bread every 5 minutes or so. It tasted a little undercooked but it was so fresh it tasted awesome nonetheless. They bake it right there in the dining area. No free ice cream when I went. The servers were really helpful and friendly. They have a side room that can be used for gatherings and luncheons. read more

Spring Creek BBQ is consistently good. It's clean and the choices are good. Food is served buffet style like most BBQ restaurants. You get the tray and order your main dish. The guys cut your meat and you move on to the sauce, beans and other side dishes. A server walks around with a basket of fresh hot rolls that are really pretty good.
