    Afternoon tea
    Priscilla K.

Food 3/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Stumbled on this place on Yelp! My besties and I were looking for an afternoon tea place in OC to hang together after our reunion and this was the perfect place to chit chat & enjoy afternoon tea like we did in Cambridge! Loved the extensive tea collection but the food quality fell a tad short. The sandwiches were okay, nothing special. The desserts were okay as well - we had quite a bit of leftovers. The tomato soup and fruit cup was good, but salad was not fresh and I saw lots of rotten greens in my salad. Wish they'd wash / pick them out more thoroughly. It comes out to about $36/person before tax and tip, which I think is quite a good deal! The location can be a little difficult to find because the space is actually a banquet/event space where they do weddings, celebrations, showers, and parties. There isn't an obvious sign on the outside that says this is "Spring Tea Garden" but once you walk in, you'll see signs leading you to the spring tea garden. They have their own large parking lot so parking is not an issue. If you're visiting on the weekend, I highly recommend you reserve a table a day or two in advance. The space itself looks very historic, quaint, and cute! Love how much natural lighting the tea room has to give it an organic brightness to the room. I'd come back again for another girl's get together or a mommy-daughter thing.

I did not host a big event here, but this would be a great event venue! I was here with nine other girls to have afternoon tea together. Because there were more than 6 people, we had to place a $100 deposit. We also had to choose the same tea package for everyone. The event coordinator recommended the Spring Tea Luncheon Package, which was $34 per person. Then we got two tea pots of three different teas for the table. The total charge included a 15% gratuity. -The sandwiches were the favorite of the group. The scones were huge and hard to finish. The desserts were meh. -We enjoyed the beach blossom oolong and vanilla almond teas. The lobby is beautiful with a piano, a display of teacups and teapots. They even have hats and fascinators that you can wear to take photos. It was easy to plan. I feel like the event coordinator is very organized. I would host events here because of this major plus. Another great thing about Springfield is they have their own parking lot, and there is plenty of parking! Turn into the lot from Chapman. There are stairs to get to the second floor, but there is also an elevator. Credit card/Apple pay accepted. Bathroom available.

My second time here with my lady friend. This place is lovely. We both love tea. I would rather be serving her tea. I really need to get a tea service, I have a uniform lol. I believe we both had the Spring Tea which comes with a tower of goodies. Everything was wonderful. We really enjoyed ourselves. My friend said there's several rooms and can have many events. Guys, this is a nice place to take your lady that I know she will love

Did my bridal shower here!!! Great private room where we made a lot of great memories. Food, services were all great! Such a beautiful place to enjoy a special event! IG:socalhkfoodies

I hosted my bridal shower here for 25 people and was given the Azalea room. The bridal shower package included tablescapes, multiple sandwich selections, 3 tea flavors, scones, and mini desserts. The packages are for 2.5 hour windows with 30 mins before and after to set/clean up. I was never given the included bride-to-be sash however everything else included in the package was provided! The staff was helpful when we could find them but stopped by for refills infrequently. I overall enjoyed my experience and would look to book my next tea-themed event here again!

this is such a cute tea house in downtown fullerton! it is great for a small group or bigger party (like a bridal shower). the location is a bit hidden - it is at the harbor blvd/chapman intersection on the second floor of a banquet hall. the staff is always really friendly and provides quick service. they have a really wide selection of teas, we are always able to find something we like. they have the classic tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts. i really enjoy the sandwiches and scones, but wish the desserts were a little better.

What a FUN day at the tea house! From the yummy warm scones to the fabulous tea sandwiches - everything we ate was fantastic! The decor was so adorable, there was just a lightness about the place. We were not rushed with our tea and our server let us take our time trying everything. Can't wait to go back again soon!

Ambience is as you would imagine. So cute and light and open. Once you get to the actual tea room it looks so cute. Our server was very sweet, always checking if we needed anything, always making sure our experience was grand. The food was almost too much, but my favorite was the scones. They were huge and warm and delicious!

I recently planned a birthday party here and this place is absolutely beautiful. It was even more charming that I expected. It was my first time here so I was nervous, but the service was extremely kind and attentive. The booking coordinator was very thorough about explaining the packages and expectations. When we arrived to the venue, all the staff was friendly and sweet. We rarely had to ask for anything because they would consistently anticipate our needs and refill out tea. The tea selection was impressive - we chose the Jasmine Green tea, vanilla almond, and hibiscus raspberry and all were delicious. The desserts and sandwiches that were paired were also tasty. I would definitely come back and recommend coming here for afternoon tea or booking for a special occasion. The best part is there is free parking in the parking lot for all your guests!

Booked the princess party package for my daughter's 6th birthday in the bridal suite. Hands down, the staff were so kind and attentative. I provided some outside decorations, but the room looked lovely even without it! I loved the selection of food and teas.

I have been here about 3 times, and overall I have enjoyed the tea experience! Today's visit was for a mom's valentine exchange and it was a lot of fun and I loved using the bridal suite for a private tea room experience! The teas were very delicate and nice. We got the traditional earl grey, raspberry hibiscus and Almond Coconut Macaroon. Loved the teas, especially the coconut macaroon; it has soft airy aftertaste. The food is comprised of different types of sandwiches, but it is very light, so if you are a big eater like myself, you might want to make plans to eat more later. My friend enjoyed the desserts as there is a variety to try from, you can see what suits your taste buds. As for the service, they tend to be quite busy, so you may need to be proactive on asking what you need. But, they will do their best to fulfill your requests. I enjoyed my time here fun for a girls tea time

My sister and I enjoyed a cute little Galentine's date here on a Sunday morning. We had a reservation, but there was only one party alongside us at the time we were seated. They have 3 different options for Afternoon Tea which are the Spring Tea, Garden Tea, and Royal Tea options. We chose the Spring tea and quite enjoyed the sandwiches that included an avocado cream cheese one, caprese with pesto, chicken salad with sun dried cranberries, egg salad, and cucumber dill with cream cheese. They were all so tasty, but my favorite was the chicken salad with cranberries. It was the perfect mix of seasoning with the chicken and the cranberries added a nice touch of sweetness. I wanted more haha. The tier also included scones and desserts. I'm not usually a huge fan of scones, but these were so delicious. I believe they had raspberries in them and the additional fresh cream with jam on the side elevated the experience. Out of the desserts, my favorite was the tiramisu. We also got to choose a flavor of tea with our own pot. My sister enjoyed her peach blossom while I loved my earl grey. Overall, we had such a lovely time, staff were so friendly, attentive, and we'd love to return in the future with more family members!

We called and made reservations to come to high tea on the Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. The tea room is upstairs and there was an elevator and ramp for accessibility. The room was bright and each teapot and teacup was so cute. We did the spring tea set and got teas with refills and several finger foods. The quality of the tea was great and the little foods were really good! It's a surprising amount of food and ended up being too much for us to finish so the workers provided boxes for us to take leftovers in. I enjoyed my experience here and would definitely come back. Don't be afraid to dress up!

The next room over was perfect for a small play bouncer. No kitchen area. The catering company all had to set up outside in the already limited parking lot area. The pavement was in ruin. The only communication I received was asking where an item I rented (the projector/VIBE) was placed. I told them, they found it, and that was the end of it. Shortly after, Alex (the COO) emailed me stating that my security deposit would be returned by this weekend. It still hasn't been returned. About 4 days after receiving the email from Alex , Chloe texted me asking if I had received my deposit. I told her no and sent her Alex's email confirming the refund. 2.5 weeks after my event, she suddenly claimed that damages were found after my event. This raised immediate red flags. - The venue had cleaners come in right after my event, so they would've notified her of damages just like they did after her other events. So I don't see what's so difficult about showing me the cleaners claimed that the kitchen door was locked. Obviously, it wasn't if she can't provide proof. - Chloe herself said she would come in the following day to confirm the rented equipment was where I stated. So again, why weren't these issues brought up immediately if there was truly damages done to her venue during my event. - I had already contacted her the next day asking about camera footage, and she told me the cameras do not retain footage past a short period Despite all of this, 2.5 weeks after my event, I received this message: "After your event, our cleaning team reported a few issues... 1. The kitchen door was locked and a locksmith was called 2. A crack found on the wall 3. A broken door stopper" When I asked for video footage or proof, none was provided. Instead, I was sent a screen recording of text messages between Chloe and her cleaning staff. Her cleaning staff said these issues occurred at another event the following weekend after my event. Immediately, when I said thats not the date of my event she unsends the screen recorded message between her and her cleaners.... They are now claiming that I locked the kitchen door, requiring a locksmith, yet when I asked for proof, I received no response from Chloe and Alex. As of now, I am still waiting for my deposit. This entire experience feels like an attempt to retroactively justify withholding a deposit. The lack of transparency, delayed claims, and refusal to provide evidence is extremely concerning and unprofessional. If you value clear communication, integrity, and lawful business practices, I would strongly suggest booking elsewhere

We booked a buffet style dinner and added the lighting package, the coordinator upgrade, cake cutting, coffee service, soft drinks, and signature cocktails for a cash bar. First of all, the food is phenomenal. It's easy to dismiss any sort of banquet service, especially a buffet style, as something somewhat less than a gourmet meal, but not here. Not by a long shot. EVERYTHING is good, from the meats and sides down to the bread (at one point in the evening one of our guests had a plate of about 10 rolls, which was completely understandable.) My husband is a snob about meat, especially steak, and basically cried at our tasting with how incredible it was. We got great feedback from our guests both the day of and afterward about how great the meal was. The other really standout add on was the cocktails. It's another thing that every single guest (who imbibed) commented on, telling us not just how good they were but also how they loved trying "the groom" vs "the bride" drinks. The Charleston takes its alcohol seriously as a craft, with these drinks being the most truly *crafted* cocktails I've had in a while. It added an amazing element for our guests that they really noticed. From the "executing our vision" end of planning, the coordinator upgrade was *invaluable.* Emily handled all of our decor setup and strike, including packing things. I overplanned tablescapes, decor, and timelines, which made her job easy, but she's such a pro that she's usually the one to handle such things. (As an aside, she took my concept and ran with it in ways I didn't think of, and I was so thrilled with her execution. Emily, I adore you and your creative brilliance.) The other item we are so glad we added for our vision of the day was the lighting package. It was the thing that took a gorgeous ballroom reception into what felt like a bespoke event, from our spotlighted entrance to the lighting on the floor for our first dance. There IS an add on package that covered both of these line items and more, but because we wanted to choose some of our own vendors, we opted for only the individual items. I love who we hired, but for simplicity's sake, the larger package would probably be much easier for a couple looking for a "set it and forget it" style of wedding planning. We loved our experience with The Charleston and I'd book our special day there a million times over. The building is gorgeous and with a rich history, but beyond that, it's so welcoming--not just the people but the vibe there. For us, there was never any other venue for our wedding than The Charleston, and I'll tell everyone who will listen how much we loved it. I know yall read these reviews, so to the team directly: thank you for everything. It was the day we both always wanted, and you all made it special. We are infinitely grateful.

We got married here a few months ago, and it was absolutely perfect. This venue is perfect if you…read morewant to add your own personal touches as it can be as diy as you want with decor, or if you have the budget to get your own personal vendors they allow outside ones! I love that you can provide your own catering, we had our family business cater the food for our event and that was nice because no other venues we looked at allowed that. Our wedding coordinator Katie put in so much work for our wedding and we are so grateful for everything she did for us. She gets things done! My best tip for someone looking to book is to be very organized and clear with every item you want if you are planning to bring your own decor, they are great and will get it done! But being organized will make things easier. The venue closes at 10pm, but we were able to book an area 12 minutes away at one of the bars in Downtown Fullerton. We had a good turnout of guests there for the After Party! We got so much compliments on our beautiful wedding and ceremony, and many compliments on the venue. Thank you Griffith house for being the perfect venue for us !

The Griffith House was great venue to take photos and have our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and…read morereception dinner - all in one place. We started planning our July wedding in January 2022, and we wanted to have everything outside so that guests wouldn't worry about masking indoors during the time of Covid. The Griffith House has huge space for everything. The other great thing that others have already mentioned is that, other than table, chair, and bar rentals, you get to choose your own vendors and bring your own alcohol - provided you pay for their bartender and security, of course. You do have to work with (and pay) one of their in-house day-of coordinators from Hutchinson Weddings, but Amy, who we we worked with, was very helpful working through the rentals that we used from the venue, as well as coordinating our outside vendors on the day of the wedding. We really wanted to choose our own caterer and bakeries, to choose wines and beers that we liked, and to bring my own pro audio equipment for the ceremony and music. The Griffith House let us do all that.
