Very nice hotel. Front desks was great. Breakfast was well done. Coffee was a little weak. I would stay there again.

On September 14th I reserved a room and "guaranteed" it with a credit card for September 20th because I thought that I would be a late arrival. When I showed up September 20th at 6:00 P.M. to Get my room, I was told that there were no rooms and I was not in the "system" even though I had a reservation number, I was still told that I had no reservation at all ( my credit card had already been charged for the room) I almost had to sleep in my car in the parking lot on a Friday night! I would avoid doing bushiness with any Marriott Hotel. They have treated me with complete indifference! read more

Very clean room!!! Problem I had, as others have pointed out, the noise from I-80 was almost unbearable. I awoke at lest twice to see if my room had been converted to an exit ramp. I've stayed at hotels next to the largest and busiest airports in America and not experienced that much noise. read more

Stayed a few times ( 3-4 days at a time). Continental breakfast, well just there. Strawberries every time were bad, the rest of the food, as expected, perhaps even on the better side. Rooms are clean, minus the shower/grout. not fan of the room layout but cosy and ok. the bad. holly crap! i was as far away from the highway side, but happened to be the closest to the stop sign...not good through out the night hearing turbo barks from trucks. that was annoying, left tv one for the noise drawing. oh yeah TV- sucked. Distribution/cabling; TV vertical "snowing" and on top of it thermostat is close proximity to TV, and as I left tv on the freaking AC unit was kicking in with 20F outside. Just moved TV farther from the thermostat so not directly below it. No bathtub, the grout in the shower looked like was overdue by a year or so. Modern hotel, updated rooms, great facilities. Fresh chocolate chip cookies at the front desk. You get a lot more for what you pay for. The room also had a sofa with a pullout couch and two queen beds, which worked great for a family of four. Ok, so some of my issues are quibblers, but here's the deal. I travel 23-27 weeks a year and I am a FIRM believer you only get one shot at a first impression, so this place was set up to not fit well with me. Perhaps maybe if they tried JUST a little bit, I would be less judgmental or harsh. However... these days I am paying $130-$150 a night for a room, I expect it to be clean, internet working, and most important, some focus on customer service. So this place gets two stars. Why not one star? Because we ALL know there are some one (and no) star hotels. Wow, what a way to get out of the bottom, huh. Just be the best in the bad row of hotels... 1. I arrived a bit earlier than the 2pm check-in time, so I didn't expect to get a room right away, but the woman at the front counter was rather unpleasant. I had been up since 3am so I explained I would be waiting in the breakfast area, and would she let me know when a room was available (I still don't understand how all the rooms magically get cleaned at 2pm, but it probably has to do with the fact there seemed to be only three people working in the entire hotel). WelI I apparently dozed off and woke up to sound of her checking in other people. I guess people sleeping in the commons area in this hotel is ok. 2. The internet service SUCKED!. The connectivity was slow and spotty - which should not have been a big shocker because I was 'asked' when I logged in if I wanted to purchase a better connection. What sort of second rate chain is the Marriot, anyway. I thought this chain catered to the business traveler. To make matters worse, a storm passed through the area and knocked out the service, unbeknownst to the staff. When called the front desk to find out when it would be up again, I got transferred to "tech support." I assumed it was off-site but will never know because I never talked anyone because he hadn't actually transferred me. He just put me on hold or something. I called back down to the front desk and the guy said he just found out it was down, but would call me the moment it came back on. Guess what, he never called. Around midnight it came back on but was intermittent the rest of the night. I get that it wasn't the hotel's fault, but I made it very clear it mattered to me so how about at least keeping me abreast to what was happening. 3. I like to look good for meetings so every night I will run an iron over my shirt and pants. I was there for three nights and every night I had to take the ironing board out of the closet, untie and unwind the cord, and refill the iron with water because the cleaning person felt the need to put it all away. I get doing it the first time, but a bit of common sense says that maybe It is something I use regularly? This wouldn't have upset me except - the same cleaning person didn't feel the need to dispose of a Lifesaver candy that was stuck on the sofa arm. That too was there for three nights. 4. No shampoo. I got three bottle of conditioner but no shampoo. I did think about calling the front desk about this one, but I remembered the evening when I checked in. I had to get something out of my car, and as I walked down to the lobby I noticed a gentleman waiting to check in. When I came back in, he was still sitting there. I returned to my room and remembered I meant to get a bottle of water, so back down I went. I tried using the ATM (which didn't work), so I went to the front desk and literally the front desk person arrived at the same time. I estimate he had been gone at least 6 minutes. Hence my earlier comment about the few employees. In a word, I will never stay at this hotel again, at least not under its current management - and since I won't know if it ever changes hands, I think it is safe to say I will not be back. Perhaps another property in this chain, but it won't be my first, second, or third choice. read more

The rooms are nice and have a great layout. 0 noise from the interstate and the hotel is well kept. The low stars are because of the staff. Ungrateful, unhelpful, and rude. It seamed like and inconvenience that we were staying there. Also my kids were threatened to be kick out of the pool because of noise just because they were having a good time and it was only 9pm. If they wanted no noise from the pool then maybe they should not leave it open till 11. Overall I would still stay here again, it is one of the better options in town. read more

Really disappointing hotel, and I usually have a good stay with this chain. I stayed 2 nights then left early instead of spending a third night here. On the plus side: the breakfast was good, the pool and jacuzzi space was nice (but filled with oil workers, some of whom evidently forgot swim trunks and were in thr spa their underwear. As a woman heading down there alone, I decided not to go in with them). On the down side, they didn't have the room I had reserved, so I got a tiny room with the smallest "king" bed I've ever seen. And the bed was hard, the towels scratchy, but the real problem was that I left at 6:45 am and returned at 3:30 pm and my room hadn't been cleaned. I called downstairs and was told that housekeeping was gone for the day, and there was nothing they could do. The manager was supposedly "on vacation" and nobody was empowered to do anything for me. When I insisted, I got towels and TP from the desk and the maintenance man came and emptied trash, but it was not the same as having a clean room and fresh bed. The front desk lady said she wasn't allowed to make any concessions, no extra points or anything. Something is just off about this place, I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I won't be back here. There's a new Hilton Tru across the street, might be worth a try. Cheyenne doesn't have anything luxurious, but I can't recommend this hotel at all. read more

Very disappointed in this Marriott member! The breakfast was terrible, eggs were cold as outside and in December that's cold. Told staff member while I was eating and she said there is nothing they can do. Poor service and poor quality of food read more

Hotel and amenities are nice but the staff seems to lack care and hospitality. I'm stuck in Wyoming for work for 10 days and my door key stopped working. The lady at the desk acted like it was a huge inconvenience to reactivity it for me. To top it off she kept answering phone calls and making me wait for something that ultimately took afew seconds instead of having them hold. Breakfast sucks...eggs are super over cooked and sausage can be cold. Good stay if you plan on doing your own thing. read more

Pretty standard SHS. Good size rooms starting to show a little wear but still okay. Staff friendly. Someone got a little happy making little warning signs ('take this and we will bill you $300'). Best to get a room on the side away from the highway to cut down on the noise. read more

Avoid at all cost!! No television!! As you are watching the screen goes black and a square shows and says "no signal"!!! It's happening in every room, and on all sports channels abc cbs fox ESPN and tbs and tnt, they said been having problems for months; but if I want to go watch what they are watching in the lobby, that would be fine!!!!! Also poor internet so you can't even watch Netflix unless you use your cellular data!!! No other Marriott hotel in town has this problem. Fairfield has tv all day and so does TownPlace!! read more

This was my first time to visit Wyoming and first time to stay at this hotel. WOW! I was so impressed with the cleanliness, comfort of the bed, room space and the little extras (like sealed plasticware, cups and plates in the room). The front desk assistant (Sean) was very nice. He was able to juggle multiple demands coming in and still maintained a very courteous and professional attitude. I inquired about a pizza restaurant and he provided me with a fairly comprehensive list of nearby restaurants, which I was thankful for. The breakfast bar offers oatmeal with MANY toppings...very delicious! My experience at this hotel has made me decide to continue to select Springhill Suites when I travel for business and leisure. They deserve every star I gave them! read more

We had to get off the road around midnight because of ice and this place thankfully was open 24 hours. It's not far off the highway but tucked behind some other hotels so it was a little hard to find at first. We were all slap happy from fatigue, but the desk attendant was very kind and understanding. We got one room for $109 with two queen beds, and it was a very nice room. As soon as you walk in there's a small lounge area with a decent sized couch and then the beds and bathroom area are in the back. The shower was amazing and had a nice steady stream with unlimited hot water. The towels were nice and actually fit around me! The beds were to firm for me, but my family liked it. They have a pool, though we never used it. The complimentary breakfast wasn't bad, though they were having some issues with the juice machine. Overall, a very nice and clean room with friendly staff. Definitely will be stopping here again! read more

Nice hotel, nice staff at front desk. We ask to switch rooms so our son could stare out the window at the rail yard below and they were very accommodating. Did accidentally leave a pair of pajamas in the first room, never to be seen again? read more
