This Sprouts is probably one of the best in the Reno area. It's a huge store in a great part of town with a massive selection of great quality groceries. Compared to my measly Carson City location, this one is huge. It has way more selection and a much larger deli, bakery, and butcher. The employees I've encountered at this store are very kind and helpful. The grab and go selection is elite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also love that this location has a place where you can sit and eat lunch in the front of the store. Huge win for visitors who are in their lunch break.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices at this store seem comparable to others in the area. I love that Sprouts still offers lots of BOGO and BOGO50 deals. It's been over six years since I've been to this sprouts. Since I live in the North Vallys, there's really no need for me to come all the way down here. I usually go to the sprouts on Plum Lane and after this visit, I'm pretty sure I won't be back. There's a certain style that you get used to when you go into a sprouts. Usually people greet you and say hi to you. There are plenty of people to ask for help. That didn't happen on this visit. So here's what happened: I entered and went directly to the sandwich counter. There were two workers by the deli case, talking and doing stuff, and I sat and waited for a while. Finally, I actually peaked over the counter and a lady noticed me and pointed at me. The other guy looked at me, turned and finished telling his story as I waited. He finally came over to me and I asked if they had a piece of paper I needed to fill out for the sandwich. He said no, just let him know what I wanted he would make it. Now I always get the number seven. It is a chicken club sandwich that has bacon, Swiss, avocado included with all of the free toppings. I ordered the number seven with mustard mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and extra meat. I asked him to add ham. Now I know, since I ordered the sandwich a lot at the plum lane, but there's an extra two dollar charge for extra meat. I asked the guy if I could have smoked ham, he said my only option was the ham that was in the prep tray. So I asked him, there's no way I could get any other ham, he said not less I want to spend two dollars. That was strange, so I told him I would just take the prepped ham. I started taking pictures for Yelp, and then he turned to me and said... of course the prepped ham is also two dollars... I was quite strange. So then I asked him ' Could I have the smoked ham as I originally asked ' he said OK. He did pretty much everything he could to keep from cutting a few slices of ham . This is a bit strange to me, considering he actually works at a sandwich counter and the deli area where they cut lunch meats, and cheeses all day. At the two other sprouts in Reno, I've never had this happen. He was an older gentleman with white hair and his name started with R. When the sandwich is done, he handed it to me and walked away. I rode through the meat department and stopped at the meat counter, the person behind the butcher counter didn't greet me or asked me if I wanted anything. Then I went to the produce section to grab some banana bananas and past three workers, stocking and stuff and again no greetings, no request if I needed any help with anything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is just a strange nontypical sprouts feeling for me. Even though they call themselves a farmer market, there not the cheapest place to shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were plenty of workers. I counted at least six people if not, eight people. The only person that asked everything was the cashier and she just asked me if I found everything I wanted and asked if I wanted a bag. It was a great sandwich though. I am sick of getting ripped off by this store. We just purchased cottage cheese here that had over a month left for an expiration date, and yet we just opened it and found it MOLDY. Disgusting. Produce is hit-and-miss. Mostly it is really old and limp and sometimes already rotting. This is unfortunate, since there are not many places to get good organic produce in Reno. They do sell Boar's Head deli meats still, which is a surprise given the recent horror with the filthy, diseased products that sickened thousands and killed a number of people. We also have found them selling some products that are quite a bit past their Best By/Expiration dates, as well (example: Feb 2025 we just bought expired Harvest Snaps Veggie Chips (Red Lentil Tomato Basil) that were three months past their due date. Be careful to check dates and quality before purchasing anything there. read more

I really like to go here. During covid they did have smaller batches of availability. Sometimes the fruit and veggies were even out of stock. I will say somethings are highly priced. I go there mainly for the mussels and the 5 dollar sushi on Wednesday. I will ay, after our child was born. That sandwhich at the hospital at like 7pm, was the most delicious thing I ever had. The staff has been friendly everything I go. Im not a small talk person, but they acknowledge me and ask if I ever need anything. While stocking. They even move out even if I dont need that aisle. So I try to avoid those areas or look of confusion in my face. I prefer not to have them stop as it would take them longer. Just know. I don't go here often, but its always a pleasure. read more

My experience is always good at this store. I feel like everyone working there is my neighbor the way they treat me. I used to only go there for certain items but now I do the majority of my shopping there. Must be the mentality of $$ saving that $5 .. but struggling to find things to buy for $50.. Needed more of the Silk Almond screen brûlée creamer... Found some other items, and groceries and just made it to the $56..... whew.. Found a small batch of everything bread.. which pairs nicely with my tomato bisque soup lunch.. Ventured in here today to find some items that you don't typically find at a chain supermarket. Bought some local sourced fermented kimchi and raw cacao nibs. What is that you say? Healthy deliciousness and only most specialty stores have them. Sprouts Farmer's Markets is right in there with Natural Grocers, Whole Foods, and Trader Joes, and like that it is in South Reno, especially when I don't feel like going into downtown to another fav - Great Basin Co-op. The staff at Sprouts are very helpful and I love the bulk items they have there. Seems like everywhere you go during this holiday season is busy, and Sprouts was busy as well. They have pre-cooked holiday dinners, and they are very good. I have gotten my turkey dinner there and was very happy. I also like their selection of plant based milk yogurts and ice cream. Very good and if you are on the lactose intolerant side, like myself, it is nice to see the variety. read more

Sprouts on South Meadows has been our ride or die this year. The family has been ordering online for pickup for as long as I can remember now. What stands out is the personal shoppers have excellent accuracy. Nothing ever is missing or incorrect. They are thoughtful about replacements and are very good about reaching out if needed. Let's also not forget $5 giant ass sandwiches form the deli and $5 sushi Wednesdays. I'm so happy sprouts opened in our region and also down the street from our home! When I lived in vegas, it was one of my go to places to buy groceries. I went in to buy additional ingredients for dinner, thai style green curry. They had all the fresh veggies also an Asian section which offered canned organic baby corn, organic water chestnut, and organic bamboo. They also had organic pasture raised chicken breast available. I was also hungry and picked up from freshly made sushi, which was very filling and tasty, no fishy taste. All the employees I encountered, checked in on me and offered assistance. Upon check out the lady was very nice and the man who was helping to bag my groceries was very personable! I am definitely a returning customer! read more
