Love this store! Since they grand opened have become my favorite go to for all my grocery needs. I appreciate the employees at this location as they go out of their way to support me whenever I'm in the store and always helping other customers with their needs. I haven't had service like this anywhere in years! I've seen some employees shop with visually impaired customers explaining the products to them and the pricing, such an amazing thing to watch it warms your heart to see this type of service. They have a Sushi Chef in the Deli Department that Hand Makes all their Sushi Rolls!!! The Store is Brightly Lit and Clean!! It's also nice Organized !!! Good service, friendly people, odd parking. There are lots of nice people working at the store. I wanted a quick sandwich and I got it. There was a very pleasant young lady working at the deli counter, who took my order and had it ready in just a few minutes. There's also good deals on fruit at this location. This Sprouts is smaller than the usual. Free parking is next to an entrance into Sprouts. The usual departments are present with a less robust selection. Associates very friendly, courteous. Self check out was a breeze. Some items were BOGO. The ones I bought had a sell by date of May, 2026. Buys: Sprouts Kettle style chips: salt & vinegar, 5 oz. (.99) save $1.80 -thinner than usual kettle chips. Taste very salty, vinegar level ok. -mostly food related ingredients + sodium additives. Too salty to repeat. Sodium: 11% Daily Value. During my visit to Sprouts, Que stood out immediately. They communicated clearly, treated every customer with patience and respect, and worked seamlessly with their team. I also noticed them taking initiative and staying calm while helping resolve questions from customers, which speaks volumes about their leadership and professionalism. This store was very well designed. The aisles are clean and the displays are well spaced. I really liked their "what's trending" end cap. We came in to buy coffee beans and grounded it in the store. The sushi section was well stocked and the staff were making more when I was there. Dinging one star for the convenience. The parking lot is small. At freaking last, after seeing the old building here demolished and the construction in progress for the past few years, I'm thrilled a Sprouts opened up here! I came opening weekend. I got in line by 6:50am, and I got super lucky because I was one of the last people who got a free Sprouts tote bag. I adore Downtown San Leandro, and I'm hoping that having Sprouts here will positively contribute to local businesses and economy and cleanliness (it's not a very clean place here). For health reasons, my doctor advised me to eat more organic food, and I'm privileged and fortunate to be in a place in my life where I can pay a bit extra for quality organic food after years of thinking organic is just marketing hype. The day before Thanksgiving, I came to buy pies. I was looking for pecan pie (there were plenty of pumpkin, blueberry, and cherry pies), and I asked a gal worked there if there were any more pecan pies. She said they probably sold out, but she'd check the back. I waited around in the bakery section, and to my pleasant surprise, she came out with the last pecan pie! She was amazing and so sweet! The location is beautiful, and easy to access through the entrance in the parking garage. It's not as large as other Sprouts, but I'm really happy they opened up here. This review is for the deli! I've been here several times and I've never left a review, it's high time I do! This is a shout out to Brad! He's always pleasant and cheerful and asks about my day. He goes out of his way to make suggestions, if I ask and he's never lead me astray on any suggestion! My sandwich is always picture perfect and my service is always tiptop! This is a beautiful location and it is the biggest sprout store I've ever seen! This place is huge and I probably will not be back. They have all the things and I will not deny them back. However, I did think it was closer to my job and I thought that I would be able to get here much quicker than I did. And while I appreciate the closeness, this is not a place that I'm gonna come to on my lunch hour. But for those of you guys who live in this area at this place is nice, it is clean, it is bright and shiny, and as I said, it has all of the stuff. So if you live in this area, if you are passing by if you just want to get your grub on and not have to go and find a whole paycheck somewhere this is your spot. Now they do have a parking garage. The parking situation is not as great but it's also an opening weekend so that could be it. But, they are welcome edition and I'm glad that they are open and expanding so much! read more

Been here many times. There are multiple places to come into the garage though you're always have parking. I recommend doing a pick up for groceries because they do a great job at shopping and nice and courteous. Bright, clean Sprouts with a great selection -- I always find joy, creams, and snacks here. Most staff are friendly and helpful and the store feels well kept. One recurring issue: Alycia at checkout is consistently dry and gives zero direction or greeting -- she doesn't help customers find the scanner or offer any eye contact. We came twice on the first day they opened and a third time two weeks later. Everything here is so bright and shiny with nice indoor parking with lots of ev charging available. Some friends and I queued up on their grand opening day and snagged a tote, a rose, a free $6 pack of salad, an apple and tried a sample of yakult. They were having a 20% off sale and we got a few items. The lines to check out took a while and because we did self check out, we got another tote! The food here is extremely high quality and fresh. Their ready to eat meals are so juicy and tender too. Highly recommend this sprouts and I am so happy to have one much closer now! read more

​This Sprouts location opened last Friday, but I avoided the crowds by coming in on Sunday evening (after all the giveaways were done). There is a medium-size parking garage on the north side of the building, which I imagine could be very full during busy shopping times. But on a Sunday near closing time, there were plenty of spaces available. Walking through the main entrance, the space was very well lit and clean (as expected during opening weekend). All of the shelves were well stocked and very organized. The aisles are wide, allowing for two carts to go through side by side. And everything was clearly labeled and priced. While I do enjoy going through the aisles of fresh produce and meats, my favorite section is the bulk items. I stocked up on dried fruits and nuts during this trip. (Pro tip: instead of writing down the SKU number one the tag, take a picture of the price and show it to the cashier or ring it up on the self-service machine.) After the hype dies down, I'll make regular trips to Sprouts. read more

I visited this Sprouts on a Wednesday expecting the advertised $5 sushi special. As a regular customer at multiple Sprouts locations, I understand selections may vary, but at this store the only $5 option was a basic California roll. When I asked about it, staff gave conflicting explanations and blamed pricing on the kitchen team. The responses felt dismissive and full of excuses rather than helpful. The entrance of this Sprouts was located inside the parking garage. I would recommend looking for the Sprouts parking sign on Callan Ave and entering through there. This would take you straight to the entrance. They had additional parking on the other side of the block. This store was very clean and the shelves were for the most part well stocked and organized. All the aisles were nicely labeled and tagged. I was impressed by how fresh the produced looked. I wasn't able to find anything that was bruised or damaged. The meat looked really fresh too. Most of their chips were on sale since it was Super Bowl week. I'm a big fan of Kettle Brand chips and they were having a BOGO sale on them. They had two flavors that I had never seen before: Spicy Kimchi and Smoky Buffalo, so I had to pick up a few bags. The staff was very friendly and nice. I was greeted as I walked in. I didn't really need help since I wanted to explore the store on my own and I had no trouble finding what I was looking for. There were no lines at checkout when I came in the morning. I came here for the first time today. There were plenty of parking spaces. I was just coming in for some Turkey deli lunch meat. I ended up getting more items of course. I found preassembled meal item of sliced chicken with vegetables. I brought some premade baked potatoes, snack items and cheese as well. I did get assistance looking for some chips from a friendly and helpful employee while I was shopping. The store was well stocked, organized and clean. I used the self check out. I will definitely will be returning as I saw some smoothies that I want to try. read more

4 stars rounded down. This Sprouts Market is a packaged food emporium that also happens to sell a few grocery items. I don't remember other Sprouts locations leaning this far into packaged food. Still, I am glad it's in the neighborhood though because everything else in SL and East Oakland is sub par in terms of selling fresh grocery items that you can cook with. The store does have a wee produce section and a wee meat section. The cheese section is OK but they don't have everything, and what they do have is packaged in a clamshell or heavy plastic. They also only sell organic milk so you're paying close to $7 for a half gallon. The vegetables and meat they do have are very high quality, so I've come back several times. But I always have to supplement with a run to Farmer Joe's or Berkeley Bowl because I can never get my complete list here. One other note is that the music they play is at a really high volume. I hope management will consider lowering the volume if they read this. read more

I used to live close to the Sprouts in Dublin and really loved it, especially the customer service. So when we moved to the southern part of Oakland and saw that a new Sprouts had opened in San Leandro near us, I was genuinely happy and excited. Unfortunately, this location is awful and has gone completely downhill. I have already bought several items here that were clearly gone bad, which is unacceptable for a store that advertises fresh and quality products. But the worst part by far is the cashiers. Today, the young cashier just stared at me at checkout as if I was supposed to bag everything myself. I asked her politely if they bag items, and she replied that they do, but that customers are expected to help because they are busy. There was only one person behind me, and the store was not busy at all. She then reluctantly bagged my groceries while mumbling and showing a clear attitude. She put a carton of eggs on top of other items, tilted, with the eggs starting to fall out. I asked her to please tape the carton closed, and she looked at me like I was from another planet. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service was shocking. Between the spoiled food and the rude staff, this store is a complete disappointment. I will not be coming back. read more

The store itself is great, clean and well organized. It's a bit pricey for me but if I forget something at my usual store then I'll run over to Sprouts for whatever it is. My main issue with the store is that they (I assume it is them anyway) allow solicitors to accost you at the entrance. Every time I go there's people tabling outside trying to get your attention and I don't appreciate it. I just want to get in and get out when I go to the store and not be bothered or expected to give attention to people who want signatures or donations or for me to buy something from them. I have been shopping at this location since the grand opening. It has become a must shop at least 3x a week, I always find new little treasures. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Bryce the manager always welcomes you with a smile. I look forward to coming in and getting greeted by name, which makes me feel like this isn't just a chain, it's a true farmers market where you are treated like a customer and not just a number. Ms. Shane at the self check out will always have a smile and a kind word. She seems to know all her regulars too, again making this location feel so welcoming! I look forward to my trips to this lotion each week mainly for the top of the line customer service. The food is extremely fresh, and the variety is great. What surprised me the most is that there is a level of friendliness and the level of service that you can feel when you enter this fantastic, brand new food utopia! From ingredients like bulk organic flours, nuts, dried fruits, chocolates, to fresh baked goods and a real nice looking meat department. The fruit/veggies department will require more investigation but it looks fine. Now, I read a few reviews where people are complaining about parking, prices, and trying to compare this store the other store. It's may be a little more expensive for some things, but I'm going to trade a little money for the newer, nicer, friendlier store. They have specials, sales and a huge variety of items you won't find elsewhere. Calling this store my store. I highly recommend leaving the crowd, the attitude, and the crappy service and step into my brand new grocery oasis located in the heart of San Leandro!!! read more

You enter the store through the garage. There seems to be plenty of parking unless you visit right after work. What surprised me was how much more expensive Sprouts is compared to Safeway, TJ's and local stores. Sprouts has a ton of prepared foods and if you're into this, then it's a good store for you. Our first visit: We parked on Callan Ave. near the SL Library to get some walking in. The gate entrance to Sprouts was locked so we walked around the front of the building on E. 14th. No entrance. Looked around the block and didn't see an entrance just Parking sign. We asked an employee who was eating outside on E. 14th and she said that the main entrance is inside the parking lot around the corner. She didn't know why the Callan Street gate was locked. It seems like we were trying to get into Fort Knox! No windows anywhere. Parking lots do not look inviting. Anyway, we will continue to shop at Spouts in San Ramon. No longer interested in SL Sprouts. Sad. read more
