My hubby and I really like this location. It's a PAIN to get in and out (sooo many confused people in that parking lot!) but it is worth the hassle. Super-fresh fruits and veggies, at excellent prices. I love having like umpteen types of apples to choose from. They carry a huge range of beauty and health items, including my stand-by Jason facial care products (SUPER CHEAP this week!). The bulk coffees - I know they're not the highest quality, but seriously, I love the Vienna cinammon and 'Cookidoodle' (guess they can't call it Snickerdoodle anymore) so much that I don't care. They carry some seriously tasty South American organic coffees too. My only complaint is that their meats are soooo super fresh, without additives, that we can only buy what we intend to use that or the next day. After that, we're taking chances. Their deli service isn't always that great, but I love that we can go get a sammich, munch down for a low price, then get the shopping done. And I can't get organic limeade so cheap, anywhere else. There are not too many alternatives for fresh produce and organic food in and around Surprise. So, when my sister introduced me to Sprouts, I was thoroughly surprised and happy. Most of the produce is not locally grown, but that is understandable given the area. But, the produce that is sold is relatively cheap, abundant in selection and quite fresh. A lot the meat is "natural" or organic under FDA regulations. What is really great about the store is it's abundance and selection of grains and trail mix. I was absolutely floored by the vast selection of trail mix combinations available for purchase. If you're interested in purchasing fresh, greener and more healthier alternatives to your local mega supermarkets, this is the place to go. Pros: Relatively fresh produce that doesnt cost a lot. Organic selection of meats and seafood. The biggest plus is the store's wide variety of trail mix, granola, grains, rice, teas/natural drinks and spices. Beats anything Whole Foods, Trader Joes and other "healthy" food chains offer. Cons: Produce is not locally grown. Most produce is not organic or pesticide free. Bakery goods could be a lot better in taste and selection. Sample Size: I have been to this store about 5+ times. read more

In general Sprouts is amazing, but specifically I have issues with the deli sandwiches (or the sandwich makers rather). Some how every time the condiments are missing. One time they even forgot to put the meat on the sandwich! They need to get their head in the game and learn how to read a list. read more

I love Sprouts and this location has a great mix of produce and products for vegetarians and vegans. It's always really busy during the day in the winter months, but after about 7pm during the winter months, it's a lot more manageable. Went in to pick up some groceries and as I was waiting in line the cashier looked like she made a gesture to come to the register for our turn. As my wife slowly moved forward she was told to stand behind the blue line with a glare of "are you stupid". She shifted back in a playful manner not meaning any harm and I was like back it up, back it up and then was told that the situation is not funny and a joke which we were not making a joke of the the social distancing but how we accidentally moved forward and needed to go back. We switched lines because we did not want to have anymore rude looks or remarks. Once in the other line we waiting for the lady to waves us in and then I start to set my bag down on the belt to unload the one bag I brought in because I didn't want to grab a cart. I got yelled at saying now she has to sanitize the belt because my bag touched it. Which she didn't after we left FYI. Then see began to tell the manager that gave us the attitude the first time that we are being rude because I questioned where I was suppose to know that new rule - since they change everyday. Then I go to start bagging my own groceries because I was there 3 days ago and was told I had to bag my own groceries since they can't touch our bags and then I got yelled at that I can't set my bag down anywhere or I will contaminate that also and I should have a cart. At this point I was frustrated and angry because of the way I was treated because of something I was unaware. It's already over whelming going out now a days and when things change daily they need to be more up front and not make people feel stupid because they don't know the daily new changes with your company. Every company states they follow the CDC guidelines but they don't all do the same. Literally came from Frys and they have people putting bags on the belt and using the bags but state they are going by CDC but then it changes going to sprouts. Overall I am just upset about how I was a treated like I was an idiot who didn't care about what's going on. read more

I truly LOVE Sprouts! It's SUCH a fabulous shopping experience! HOWEVER...I gave one less star because their produce at times looks just HORRIBLE. I just wish that the produce was more fresh and vibrant in color. (When it's not then I have to then go to Fry's to get what I should have been able to get at Sprout's.) And to be honest...their dairy prices are outrageous! Go to Fry's...you can get the same thing for 50-70% less. On a more positive note...their meat's and poultry are FABULOUS! SOMETIMES the seafood looks great; other times not so much. I'm all for "small" grocery boutiques don't get me wrong, I think just that a few things could be improved upon. read more

I love Sprouts! The person who called Sprouts a 'snobby place' with 'boutique prices' is crazy - I've found that Sprouts consistently has the BEST prices on produce and bulk items. And the quality is usually better as well. I love that Wednesday is their double ad day - you can get last week's specials AND this week's specials. Of course, that means it gets a little busy on Wednesdays but nothing too horrible. Their meat is good quality and if you get it on sale it is often a better price than the regular grocery store. We love the carne asada and pollo asado, so I stock up when it's on sale (it was 99 cents a pound over the summer!) and we always have some in the freezer for tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, etc. I'm frequently amazed that Sprouts can offer things as cheaply as they do. Blackberries this week for 88 cents - if you can even find them in another store, they're $3! Over the summer the fruit is amazingly cheap - peaches were 33 cents a pound, the other grocery stores couldn't touch that. Sure, some of the items are kind of pricey - but those are the type of items that are specialty organic items, and they aren't exactly cheap anywhere else. Sprouts' main focus is on FRESH PRODUCE and they are the best place around to get that. read more

Unethical practices this pertains to some of their suppliers as well. They continually sell moldy berries. Old wilted produce kept on shelve too long. Rotten smelly fish that they persuade customers to buy even when they know the item is rotten. Buyer Beware. They will even say it is the suppliers fault for such item conditions. Advice: change suppliers, get fresh (not green produce) and change out your produce & meat shelves on a continual basis. Stop selling stuff that you wouldn't take home to your Mother. I get the best service every time, from help in finding specialty items to having things special ordered and set aside for me to the friendly cashiers - they even ask where my daughter is and how she's doing when I get the chance to go shopping by myself. BAIT AND SWITCH! So as an update, I noticed that Sprouts had a good sale on Organic items (starting on 3/13/13) in their flyer, and at the top center of the page was a sale on Organic Cabbage (.19cents a pound). So on Friday, I headed over to take a look. When I went in, there was a big sign in the center of the produce area that said: Cabbage .19 cents a pound. You would think that this would be the Organic Cabbage that was advertised on the front center of the Sprouts flyer. But this was only conventional cabbage, not the organic. When I asked about the Organic cabbage that was on sale in the flyer, the 2 employees that I asked, acted completely surprised that I would ask about the organic. They tried to steer me back to the conventional cabbage sale, but I said no, I wanted the organic that was advertised. So then they finally took me to a small area that had no cabbage whatsoever, and said well, we must be out. Sprouts obviously wants people to think that the conventional cabbage that they had on sale (for exactly the same price as the organic), was actually the Organic that they advertised in the flyer. Many people would not notice that it did not say Organic. Otherwise, Sprouts would not have had their conventional cabbage be the same price. I wonder if they actually ever had any of the organic cabbage that they advertised? The sale started on Wed, and it was only Friday. Did they think that no one was going to come and buy the organic cabbage that they advertised? I find it very suspicious that I never did see any of the organic cabbage that they advertised. This is a blatant bait-and-switch tactic, and I am thinking of reporting this. I don't think they ever had any intention of selling organic cabbage. read more

I shop at sprouts for all my produce and meat and have always chose Sprouts over any local market for their quality of and I love the check out staff. Recently we had family in town and decided to cook up a nice BBQ dinner for them. We purchased a few pounds of some Pork baby back ribs along with several other items to go along with. My husband and my dad cooked the ribs on a slow cook all day long, later that evening they noticed that the aroma in the house was "sour" and sure enough they pulled the ribs out of the oven and they were indeed sour (my husband fell victim to a taste test.) They immedieltly took the ribs back to the store to see if they could work something out. They were helped out by the checkout manager, with his accommodating service & very pleasant personality. He gave them back a full refund and allowed them to purchase the few pounds of kabobs that they chose, on the house. He was apologetic for the inconvenience, making light of the situation and was understanding. My husband and my dad felt that after a "wasted day of cooking" and a late kabob dinner, Sprouts was redeemed through such great customer service!!!!!! We love shopping at Sprouts. We have shopped at most of the other markets and no one even comes close to the quality of freshness for meats and seafood. Wednesdays are great because you can shop using the ads from the previous week as well as the current week. We have had an issue or two with customer service at the register, but nothing that would make me shop elsewhere. Still have to shop at Fry's for some stuff, but Sprout's is our favorite. read more

I would normally give Sprouts Farmers Market in Surprise more stars than two but my experience today has me very upset. I purchased pork chops ready to barbecue yesterday. I had been careful transporting them straight home and packed in ice so didn't expect upon opening the package to find really bad meat. Luckily I had some turkey burgers on hand that didn't need to be thawed and didn't waste the rest of the food that was already prepared. I took the chops back this morning and was refunded my money quickly but abruptly with no apology by a person at a checkout who was busy checking out someone else with purchases. No apology to that customer for holding him up. I apologized to him as I was only asking directions to the returns department. I am not one to write bad reviews, this is my first, but felt I had to do this as this is the THIRD time that I have had to return meat. I did explain that to the clerk but STILL NO APOLOGY for the inconvenience to me. I think the meat department needs closer scrutiny! read more

Called to speak to an important General Manager in regards to a product I was interested in buying in bulk and my call was rudely answered by a lady by the name of "Tina". After asking for a GM she had mentioned it was rude of me to call during the holidays (New Years Day), also mentioning HE would be back on Monday. I politely said thank you then asked "may i please have his name so i know who i will be looking to speak with?" Followed by rudely being hung up on.----- This is the first time I've ever felt the need to write a good/bad review on a business. I felt the need to let others know how disrespected I felt by Tina's customer service and professionalism. She must have partied to much during New Years Eve. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused you. I wont be bothering you again anytime soon. read more

I like Sprouts but I recently had a bad experience with the check out lady. She was engaged in a personal conversation with another employee when I was putting my items on the belt. She said, Hi how are you today... which I replied I was good and asked how she was. She continued her conversation with other employee, I had a bag of vegetables that a hole had ripped, so I pointed it out to her so she wouldn't spill the, etc. I thought she might have got another bag or had someone else get me one, that would have been the right thing to do. Instead, she didn't say anything about it, just went right on with her conversation. She said, hi how are you today.....AGAIN, this time I didn't say anything.. I felt like telling her she already asked me that and I already responded. Not great customer service, I always hope there is someone else working, but sadly it's almost always her when I shop. Their green beans were disappointing, lots of brown spots and very thin ones, non usable. I like the new bags they have for the bulk foods, however, you have to write the SKU number on them first before filling them up and well that's hard to do sometimes, not a ton of room and the pens don't stretch to far. Better customer service will make me come back, pay attention to the customer, your personal conversation can wait. read more
