As incredibly depressing as it is to drive up to the apartment building in which I almost moved, that is no longer standing after the fires, Spruzzo's survival is my Palisades saving grace. It's an unassuming spot in a strip mall, that I found on an adventure one day, and then returned the day I picked up my lease to make it my new regular spot across the street from my (almost) home. They have a wood burning fire that lights up my heart (stomach), and the best grilled artichokes around. Their homemade bread flows to the table, and goes best with any salad or pizza, if you are sharing. The staff is kind and welcoming, and this is the place where you want to meet friends and family and hang out for a while. Great place! We were visiting the Getty Villa nearby and wanted a spot to eat before heading over. Our servers were amazing! So nice and asked about food allergies. The inside is decorated so cute. My rigatoni was perfect! Great touch with the sun-dried tomatoes. Definitely would recommend to try and would go back if I was in the area! read more

I went here to visit the Palisades after the fires and the drive up here was lovely. We sat outside on a hot day which was a great idea as it was quiet and the service was quick and efficient. Your management completely mishandled this situation and instead of an appropriate apology you're digging your heals in with 1/2 truths and you were not even the one I spoke to. Consistent every time. Very delicious food and is even good to go, as I've ordered delivery multiple times and it comes fresh as if I'm in the restaurant. The ahi tuna is one of my favorites in the area and the best for when I want comfort food of spaghetti and meatballs. The servers are always attentive, but know not to be pushy. Gorgeous restaurant!!! The aesthetic is absolutely beautiful with the tables set really nice as well. The lighting isn't too dim but not those annoying fluorescent lights. Our waitress was friendly and checked in on us periodically. We started with their house focaccia bread paired with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar that's on the table that we can pour ourselves. For our main entrees we ordered the 12" BBQ chicken pizza: it's a great size to either share or have leftovers for lunch ;) and the chicken piccata: this is served with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes and let me tell you these mashed potatoes are among the best I've had! The piccata sauce is light but has the perfect amount of citrus tang. Overall both dishes were great! We didn't indulge but they do have a full bar and wine list. read more

We've followed them from Malibu to Palisades.The freshness and comfort of their attention to quality never wavers.I love they have family generations that keep those quality 5 stars at both restaurants. Valentines day around 5:30 PM my bf and I drove from dtla to here for dinner (our fault we should have called and see if we needed reservations) we were turned away by the petite thin girl in front black shirt blondish brown hair in one braid. I was so sad lol :( when we were leaving this nice tall white boy with the curly hair (i think his name is sasha) told us we can sit at the bar some elderly couple was about to leave so we were lucky he stopped us since we were about to leave other than that the food was good the place was cute! they have a little bar with some draft beers and specialty cocktails. This place was phenomenal! Great food, great service and a beautiful view while you eat. We did eat outside, but the inside decor is super as well. Gorgeous really. Very well decorated. We would definitely eat here again. Everyone enjoyed their food and our server was on top of it with our drinks and kept our glasses filled. No complaints from anyone about anything and most of us cleaned our plates. We will be back next time we are in the area, for sure! read more

We had a reservation and were seated quickly to a booth in the back, it was quiet and private. Servers were friendly but it did take longer than expected to get the check. I personally had the chicken Alfredo pasta which was delicious and served piping hot! We also shared the garlic fries to start which were outstanding. Nice dinner spot in the palisades! read more

I just had a nice early dinner at Spruzzo Restaurant and had a superb time. Their ambience was relaxed and collected with enough space between tables. There were several great choices on the menu my order consisted of Fresh Baked Salmon, Rigatoni Vodka, Rigatoni Pesto, Linguine Alfredo and pizza Napoletana. Went for lunch on a Saturday around 2ish. Nice atmosphere. We ordered mozzarella cheese sticks, greek salad and Alfredo fettuccine. Crunchiest mozzarella sticks I've ever had. Delicious! Salad was substantial even at the half order and son said Alfredo was wonderful with more chicken than most restaurants give. Will be back to try the brick oven pizzas. Staff was attentive and friendly. Parking was ample (a rarity down this way). read more

This place exceeded my expectations... came here for lunch with the girls after we got done hiking cz we found this place through instagram :) we seen a video of the place that went viral and it looked pretty good so we gave it try. First impression, the style and character of the restaurant was nice, it definitely fits the vibe. Everyone was so welcoming & friendly. Excellent service. Great menu choices, I had such a hard time deciding cause everything sounded so good. They serve you with delicious complementary bread. Don't sleep on that, it was tasty! We also started off with some Calamari, AMAZING!! If you love calamari it's definitely worth coming here for. It was gone before we could even snap a picture of it. I rewarded myself an espresso Martini after a good hike lol & let me just say that I will do the commute just for those 2 things alone... I mean wow, the drink was made with love. Haha I went ahead with the chicken pesto sandwich with avacados & a side of ceasar salad. The girls got Chicken Alfredo & Homemade chicken Ravioli... everything was very well seasoned which made it extremely satisfying. Last but not least, we ended it with delicious Tiramisu for dessert, I'm sure that's a crowd pleaser :D Also the owner was kind enough to introduce himself & showed us such an appreciating dinning experience. I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect that this is a solid example of a 'Sysco foods' restaurant. It's sort of like an Olive Garden, BJ's, Red Robbin-type of restaurant disguised as a boutique, Italian, homemade-style spot. So, everything was just 'fine'. If you're looking for 25-40$ entrees that are pretty average, this is your spot. If you want something that tastes a little less Sysco-food-ish in the area, check out Cafe Delfini. Ambiance was nice, outdoor seating, clean table, clean chairs, nice fire and heaters for chilly evenings. We got a plate of pasta, and the noodles' texture and cut seem to indicate that it was not freshly made or handmade pasta, more like grocery store, dried and packaged noodles. The cream sauce was broken, heavy on the butter/oil, light on the cream. Chicken was not particularly flavorful or juicy, but not the worst. We also got pizza. The food is served hot, but you can tell the pizza oven isn't quite hot enough for pizza. So, you don't get that nice caramelization on toppings in the way you might expect from an actual wood fire. Their website says they do "wood-fired" pizza, but the pizza had zero smoke flavor and I couldn't smell or see any smoke anywhere. The pepperoni is that sort of elementary-school type of kids' pepperoni, super thin cut (which is why it was surprising that it didn't crisp up in the alleged 'wood-fire' oven), a little bland. They were also really light on pepperoni. Cheese had that shiny factory mozzarella look and flavor. Service wasn't bad, but it felt a little slow at times. Staff was friendly enough. Although, we had to ask for things multiple times, and when they were finally brought, there was no acknowledgment or apology for missing those requests in the first place. It made us feel pretty awkward. We're not the type to complain when things don't go our way, and we always pay our bill and leave a solid tip when we dine, even when the experience isn't great. But we will not return to this restaurant. Again, not bad food, not the worst service! But there's much better Italian food options out there, and I suspect this place caters to a lot of tourists passing through the area who just want a safe and inoffensive Italian option. read more

We went to Spruzzo yesterday and Let me start by saying the food was delicious... but the waiter, although very nice, seemed a little scattered. The restaurant was not busy at all but he kept forgetting things and just seemed like his mind was elsewhere and some of our requests were acknowledged but he didn't follow through. My husband didn't get his salad. And some of the little things we asked for we never got like some extra sauce for my husband's pasta. Instead the waiter pointed at the pasta and said there's sauce there. Lol (maybe he should have a refresher on customer service) I liked that the restaurant was very clean and my margarita was delicious and so was the pizza and for that reason i give it 3 stars. read more

Amazing happy hour & service! I stopped in for a late afternoon bite after leaving the nearby beach. My bartender was welcoming and helpful; she informed me it was happy hour so I ordered a couple margaritas, meatball mozzarella and bruschetta.. all were delicious and for a great price! Disappointed. I've been coming here for the past 15 years or so but was left disappointed this time around. Waited about 30 minutes to get seated, only to sit inside where the tables were unoccupied. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Was served luke warm water from outside, that had a big in it. Was brought "new" water but this time it was completely warm with no ice. The basket of bread was fine. Ordered: Italian Salad. It was missing the watermelon radish but the overall taste was okay. Rigatoni Pesto- Way too much pesto cream sauce.
