Usually disappointed by upscale American but this place was solid. Appetizers: calamari (nothing special but good), burrata with tomato (again nothing special but standard), portobello fries (I love mushrooms and this was great) Entrees: this is where the restaurant shined. Ordered skirt steak with chimi which I asked for medium rare. Usually skirt steak is always tough and over cooked but they cooked it perfectly. Scallop was also amazing and I loved the mint pea puree sauce. Service was great. Only complaint was I feel the entrees should've cost closer to maybe around $30-40 rather than $50+. Also valet is $8 so keep that in mind as well too. Will definitely come back next time in the area! read more

Fantastic lunch experience! The service was welcoming and friendly. So relaxed just like I've been going there for years (and it was my first time). The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. I loved the seared salmon and the couscous was outstanding! The peas and spinach in it made it standout. The fries and portobello fries were cooked perfectly! Also, I didn't try it but the fried chicken special looked delicious! I got an Arnold Palmer and it was perfectly refreshing with my meal. I cannot wait to return! read more

Ate here while staying at a near by hotel. My husband and I were able to be quickly seated without a reservation on a Friday evening. We shared the crab cake which was delicious with lots of crab meat. I had the seafood linguine with gluten free pasta. I enjoyed the variety of seafood in the pasta which included scallops, mussels, shrimp, etc. For dessert we had the berry crumble with berry sorbet. Would highly recommend all these items. read more

While out in Malibu and trying to decide on where to eat, we landed at V's. I was really rather surprised that it was not packed when we arrived, but we'll take it! We were greeted and immediately sat. The overall feel is casual-classy, so I can appreciate that! We kicked it off with a couple of signature drinks( in the photos) they were both tasty and well balanced. Apps We had the Burrata, Calamari, and crab cake...the calimarhad the heads, which receives a BRAVO! The burrata was well presented and tasted great. The Crab Cake we all felt was a bit one note... no texture contrast. That said, there was crab in every bite, just needs a bit more crunch.... .mains - we ordered the Wagyu sirloin burger med/rare, and it was very good and not overdone with onions, etc. Next, we ordered a club sandwich. The club tasted good, but I think we expected more of a classic approach. It came like a regular sandwich, which is not a bad thing.. just a note. The only other thing I think could've been better is the selection of turkey. It should've been real turkey as opposed to the packaged deli type. Other than that, the portion size was great, and the taste was all good. Next, we moved to the Margherita pizza, which was good and a good balance between the sauce and cheese. My girlfriend and I have just had the best weekend, right across from this charming little gem. We stumbled upon this place after a casual day of lounging and enjoying the beach breeze, so we decided to give it a go. The seconds we stepped into their space, it felt warm and embraced. Right away -- it had that local charm. The friendly staff promptly greeted us and began to seat our group. That reigning wine selection was next level -- not the usual suspects, but a finely selected list to suit all palates. Instead, we deferred to our server's advice and it was on point. But the main dish highlight was definitely in those house specials. We got a couple of them and every dish after was better than the other, very flavorful bites clearly made with quality ingredients. Europa Exmouth: You can clearly see they have made an effort to form a beautiful menu full of love. This was not your everyday dining experience, here it felt like a legitimate culinary adventure. But this was extra special, thanks mostly to the staff of course. They always listened but without hovering over us, were available in an instant for whatever we needed that wasn't predictable. They balanced a perfect amount of professionalism while still being so warm and welcoming. We never felt rushed and the clearly cared that we had a great evening. All in all, what this place was is it wasn't just a restaurant -- but rather an experience that we don't forget from our weekends. From the amazing food, to selecting wines with great care from their wonderful list to providing attentive service we could not have had a better dining experience came my realization. Such a perfect find today for dinner. My husband and I each ordered the "soup of the day" and it was seriously the best vegetable soup I've ever had in a restaurant. I had the kale and quinoa salad and it was so perfectly created and fantastic. My husband had the swordfish special and he said it was perfectly cooked and absolutely fresh and delicious! This is a place I never miss when I'm in the Malibu area. I get out here on business a couple times per year and if I'm within 45 miles of the place I go. The owner is great and the wait staff too. The food is phenomenal. I always start with the ahi tuna Tartare. It's always fresh and delicious. We need up getting the butter lettuce salad crisp and tasty. Calamari was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of breading. Ordered pizza and topped off with triple berry crumble for dessert. Saw this place on Yelp and stopped in on our way to the airport in LA. Loved the family vibe. The server, the support, and the manager all worked so well together. Then there was the pepperoni pizza - I told my wife it might have been the perfect pizza. Light and crispy on the outside, but soft and a bit of chew to the inside. Perfectly cooked. Then tried the basque cheesecake made in house. So smooth and creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. The cherry sauce on the plate was a nice light touch, too. read more
