Had a very pleasurable experience here over the weekend. Stopped in for lunch and was shocked at how nice this place was ! The views are incredible, the ambiance is welcoming and the food was great. Got to try both the lamb burger and the Ben burger and loved both of them. The Ben was slightly better and something I would definitely get again. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. My only knock would be that it is a bit pricey but worth it for the views and food quality in my opinion. Would love to come back here for dinner one day read more

This bar is an awesome choice for a Friday or Saturday night and it's right next to the pool. I hear they also host a fun pool party. We like the lillet drink with lavender and the espresso martini best! I'm also still dreaming about the mashed potatoes that came with the grilled calamari. I got the beet orange salad and it was a nice light dinner for a late night. This is a great place for a photo-op. Check out the Perry Strait Band down in the bar below on Saturday's as well. This beautiful hotel is a great addition to downtown West Palm. We like to stick with the very high end spots so we decided to spend the whole night out here! read more

You are paying much too much for the view. We went for brunch March 2. Our server was attentive taking drink and food orders and then disappeared. We waited 30 minutes for our food and had to send back ice cold French fries. The rest of the food was just ok, but nothing special. Our server never came over during the extended wait to check on drinks or anything else. Literally while some at the table were eating our plates were being cleared. The octopus was tender and really flavorful. The cheese bites were crunchy on the outside and ooey gooey on the inside. The drinks were strong and they have top shelf spirits. Our server was very attentive. For dinner we had the Ben burger, the lomo sandwich, the skirt steak, clams and mussels and the paella. Can I tell you how huge the paella dish was? Food was good. Service was terrible. A group of us came in on a reservation. The host told me she didn't see my reservation but she would still sit us. Then our waitress, payed us no mind at all. When she would come to the table to pick up a plate, she wouldn't ask if we needed anything like our checks or togo boxed. THEN, as we're waiting for our waitress to give us the checks and we're finishing out drinks, another waitress asks us to leave. We tell her we are waiting for checks. The manager ended up coming and asking us to leave again!! We then explained once again that we were waiting for our checks. Gratuity was included and it totaled out to $95. This wouldn't have been a problem if we were not asked to leave twice. read more

This is a great bar!! The setting is magical and the view is extraordinary. So much fun. The bar staff is very together--lovely experience! We liked it so much, that we went back for lunch. The view is still great; but the overall experience was poor. They were out of the wine by the glass I ordered, which is odd as it was 11 a.m.--opening time, and therefore it took over 1/2 hour to get one glass of wine. The pour is super small for a big price--$18. The waitress was darling; but just seemed to disappear for long periods. The crispy grouper wrap was very overcooked and dry. The mussels for which they charged $32 had only 12 mussels, which is the smallest portion I've seen anywhere in the world. We were so very disappointed--definitely not worth the $125 bill. read more

I love this place for the weekend DJ, views, and ambiance. However the food... I've been endless times for the food and it's underwhelming each time. The lamb chops always come out over cooked. Octopus rubbery or has weird flavors. Oysters taste and look extremely questionable. Defiantly not fresh. Drinks are pretty mid ..sometimes good on a slow day for the bartenders but for the price ($20 a cocktail ) I'd rather enjoy a cocktail on the island or better restaurant. The kicker was the tables surrounding us were only sat for 20 minutes for their food to come out. I understand the kitchen could've been backed up, but it would've been nice for a manager to table check on us! Secondly, I ordered the "Crudo Trio" which stated items in the dish that didn't actually come with the food. The server mentioned it was only a garnish but it was no where to be found on my plate. We really wanted to enjoy this place but we left after we were yelled at by the manager for complaining about the slow service and asking for our drinks to be comped. Waited an hour for a salad and a burger and were ignored when we tried to flag down a waiter or waitress. One of us had to follow them into the kitchen to get their attention. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks (that we got served in plastic cups) and then we, the customers, were blamed by the manager for the terrible service. Mind you one of the waitresses overheard us talking about the manager in the bathroom and apologized on his behalf, so I will give one star to her and her only. Lovely place for lunch -- great view. I will say it is pricey -- as can be expected for a rooftop restaurant downtown (you're paying for the view!). But I was pleasantly surprised by the food (which was very good) and the service! I would love to come back at night for some of the hotter dishes (which would have been impossible to eat in the midday heat!). Some reviewers had a difficult time finding the restaurant -- to the right of the hotel entrance there is an elevator. I agree is it poorly marked, but not enough to hurt my experience. We walked in around 1:30pm and they sat us straight away more than 6 feet from other tables. There was a really nice breeze and shade. Some reviewers have commented on the service -- I didn't have that experience. The hostess was really nice and our server Daniella was really attentive, friendly, and helpful with the menu (you can get a physical menu or scan the QR code on the table for a digits menu). Now for the food... MUST TRY: - Charred Octopus: if you like octopus this is a great starter -- the "bacon" is more like thick cut pancetta and the beans are amazing! On the filling side. - Burrata: I am burrata connoisseur and I LOVED THIS!! The balsamic was a glaze with a very Smokey / savory flavor that was offset by the honey and blueberries. Came with TWO full burrata rounds. - Lobster roll: truffle!! And amazing fries. JUST OKAY: - Poke: it really is just a bowl of sushi-grade fish with some avocado and red onion sprinkled in. I didn't find the flavor interesting but it's a great low carb/ healthy option. We got cold brew -- which was standard (they have almond milk and biodegradable straws). Located on the top floor of The Ben Hotel. You go for the view and to be seen by the pool bar. Decent service and fabulous decor. The menu is limited and a bit pricey. The burger hit the spot and sitting in the Florida sun makes everything all right. More of a regular bar menu instead of a fancy chef menu would benefit this location. The hostess is the first point of contact and she was very nice, told us the wait time and took our name and info. Upon being seated our waitress was wonderful, very attentive and assure she checked in with us. I informed her about my allergy and she accommodated with my Gluten allergy and checked with the kitchen before proceeding with my order. Though pricy the drinks were amazing the food was great too! I had the Salmon 10/10 recommend, would go back and just get this! It's really great to see more beautiful rooftops in Palm Beach. Spruzzo is located in The Ben Hotel in downtown West Palm Beach and is the perfect place for drinks or brunch. The views from this spot are beautiful and give you a glimpse of Palm Beach Island from a much need to see angle. Our service was great at Spruzzo. For drinks I had the Lily Spritz which was a refreshing taste of lemon with a hint of lavender. The lamb meatballs we shared as an app and were accompanied with bread and marinara sauce for dipping. They were seasoned well and filled us up. I had the Lobster sliders as a meal and it came with 3 good sized portions of lobster rolls. My favorite was the Panna Cotta dessert that had a delicious Orange flavor. We will definitely be coming back. read more

I have been keeping a very close eye on when the Ben autograph collection would open their door in west palm beach. I decided to call and make a reservation for the rooftop bar for four. Once we arrive, the hostess promptly said hello, and we were notify that our table wasn't ready yet. So we went to the bar area and ordered a drink. Shortly after (20 mins) our table was finally ready. We sat down........NO ONE WAS ATTENDING OUR TABLE 20-25 mins LATER we had to flag down a waiter and asked who was waiting on the table. A few mins later our waitress finally shows up. The service was very substandard. We asked for water which she forgot, and we had to remind her twice. Then when she brought the appetizers, SHE PROCEED TO HAND ME THE PLATE. Rather than putting it on the table. So I'm looking at her with a puzzled look till finally I directed the plate of food on to the table . We had no plates or silverware on the table! Yet again we had to flag her down which seemed like mission impossible. The view and decor is amazing. But the service is AWFUL.. i mean the worst. The one star is the view and ambience. read more

Grand opening of The Ben Autograph Collection hotel. The hotel is beautiful, an elegant breathe of fresh air to downtown WPB. I recommend checking it out as a staycation. In the lovvybthey have a steak house atmosphere called Proper Grit which I will come back to try. I went upstairs to Spruzzo, which by the way toy don't need to enter the hotel as they have an exterior elevator in the front that takes to the with floor. If you want to pay $150 for prime rib, not be able to have a conversation and jostle for space with a bunch of kids nursing cocktails at the bar this is the place for you! What a tourist trap: We booked weeks in advance to take some friends here - super excited to try out this popular spot. It was a Saturday night and we were sat next to a green plastic wall where obviously there was a wedding reception on the other side. That was loud enough but progressively through the night the music got louder and louder drowning out all conversation. The menu was super limited with only one non-meat dish - Branzino - which wasn't available and no alternatives were offered. The waiter brought my friend's appetizer out with the entree and when he made a comment the waiter said "that's just what they do". I had a salmon on salad - I wasn't asked how I liked my salmon but if I had been asked I would not have requested overdone and cold - but that's what got. If this had been a mid range chain restaurant it would have been fine but our meal for 4 was over $500. Totally not worth it! I gave it 2 stars because the view is fantastic, but completely wasted on this place. What a disappointment. read more

We came here with our family friends who were visiting out of the town. We all ordered drinks and one of our friends ordered a draft beer, which came out to our table warm. When we asked our waiter Johnathan A if he could switch out the beer for a cold one, his response was "do you want a martini instead cause the next will also come out warm". Apparently their draft beers or beers in general come out warm cause it's warm outside.... so I wouldn't order their beer if I came here again. I know that sounds like not that big of a deal but it really killed the vibe. Speaking of the vibe-insane. A mix of NYC + San Diego. People were dressed from yoga clothes to cocktail attire. You could tell we were bummed because a lovely (manager?) Sophie came to talk about the service and the drinks. Her chat alone changed my mind. She didn't offer excuses. She rectified the drinks and did open my eyes to the kinks of a new establishment. She is their saving grace at this point while they work out their shortcomings. I really appreciate when management can admit fault and try and fix it. (Would recommend to go during lunch time for better light. We ordered a lamb burger, gambas al ajillo & the citrus bread pudding. My husband saw the gambas al ajillo from the person next to us. When we got it the gambas they were HUGE. The flavor was phenomenal. The perfect combination of garlic and chilli. I can't handle too much heat but this was worth it. Lamb vs wavy burger... obviously we had to try lamb to spice it up for date night and they cut it in half for us which was nice. It tasted so fresh and didn't leave us sluggish afterward. The bread pudding was perfection. The right amount of bourbon and a hint of citrus for an added flavor. Pretty sure this has to be the best dessert. Definitely worth every Penny! There are very limited rooftop bars in West Palm Beach so I was really excited to check this place out and the views. Food was average and overly priced in my opinion. Nothing really stuck out to me as being overly delicious or satisfying. Atmosphere was nice and the views of the intercostal were beautiful especially at sunset. Drinks were also overly priced and not as strong as I would of expected them. Overall, the atmosphere really helped improve my overall rating of this place. Very nice rooftop bar/restaurant. Went for my birthday and got a table near the pool which was apparently reserved for those staying at the hotel (I was a walk in) which was super nice. Great experience overall, I don't really remember the food (hence the 4 stars instead of 5, it was probably mid tbh if I can't even remember ) but the drinks were great and the view was gorgeous when I went. Had this one drink (the Rosa martini) that had a frozen ice rose in it, it was so cute. But the ice rose takes up like 50% of the drink, my server brought the extra out in a lil cup so make sure if you order that they bring out two cups and the il lido spritz was amazing. read more
