First of all I want to express how thankful I am for The Rock Movers…read more Being a full-service moving company, I needed someone to help me pack AND move due to a recent injury crippling me right before I was scheduled to move. Their reliability and ease of setting up the packing and move when I was not even able to be present and the timing was truly helpful. It was more expensive than I had ever paid for movers, even without the packing, and that's honestly why I could not give them full 5 stars. As a military member going through an honorable discharge to help my family in crisis while already injured myself, I had to empty out my own savings and my children's I had saved up over a 9-month deployment in the combat zone to move back to my family when they needed my help, not even sure if I could then provide for them. So while I really thank them for the job they did, I never financially recovered from that and I do ask Rock Movers to consider the vets or military members in San Diego and to complete a weight estimate for them to be reimbursed.

Booked 24/7 to do the work. They showed up on the scheduled day about 8:30 am and we did a walk thru, showing them what was going and what was not. moving from a 4 bdrm to a 2 bdrm takes some downsizing. They started right in, wrapping, filling boxes and moving them out to the truck. Taking apart the furniture that needed it and moving it out to the truck. They are definitely good at their job. It took them till 10:30 at night to get it all packed and stowed in the truck. They were prompt on delivery day too. Showed up at 9 am . started unloading and putting together furniture and placing it where requested. Took till 4pm before they were finished with their part of unpacking . Great job! I had everything I own stolen from two separate units…read more I stored my belongings here for over 20 years, paying roughly $40-50k over that time. In the end, about $50,000 worth of my property was stolen from my two units, including irreplaceable items from my late father and grandparents, original artwork, and a career's worth of work samples (50+ snowboards). Their cameras only cover the outside of the buildings. Other storage facilities advertise interior cameras as a safety feature; this one doesn't have any. The front gate regularly allows multiple cars to pass through with one code entry, and the building doors themselves don't require an entry code or are usually propped open - essentially, anyone can enter the property and the buildings with zero verification that they should be there. Their website and payment system make you re-enter your payment information after you've already entered it and clicked confirm. I spoke to them about this numerous times, explaining that it's confusing; no retailer ever makes you reconfirm a purchase. Their response was that they didn't want people double-charged. I'd much rather be double-charged than robbed blind. Read into this however you like, but only my wife, myself, and their staff knew I had these units. I generally came midweek/mid-day and was careful not to leave anything of visible value in the hallways. My units were across the building from each other, and there was no obvious way for someone to know which units to target. My theory - and the detective on my case agreed it was plausible - is that I forgot to confirm my payment on their website one time, sending my unit(s) to pre-lien status. I paid the moment I got the notice, but the damage seems to have already been done. The thieves went through every single box in one unit, but stopped a third of the way through the other, leaving thousands of dollars of stuff untouched. Why? It's almost like they were told to stop for some reason. Maybe after a payment was made? When I reported my theft to the front desk, one employee was genuinely shaken, but the manager had an unmistakable "oh, sh**" look and showed zero surprise that I'd been robbed. To make it worse: insurance requires receipts and proof of ownership for decades-old belongings, much of it from people no longer alive to help me prove what I owned - capped at $5,000 on a $50,000 loss. Two decades of trust, gone. The place looks nice, but not everyone has a nice experience. I left one star, I wish I could leave less.

Everything about this moving service went great. Joy in the office was incredibly helpful, including when I needed to reschedule my move time. Carlo and Sebastian were excellent. They loaded everything so efficiently and even got our oversized couch out the door and down the stairs quicker and more easily than the people that delivered it in the first place. Everything was transported securely and not a single item was damaged. I appreciated that the minimum time is only 2 hours, which meant I didn't have to pay for extra time I didn't need for my small apartment move. They arrived punctually, were friendly, and helped move the required furniture to take out the rugs. They also efficiently restored everything to its place while we awaited the rugs' cleaning. These guys are great. I used them to deliver a recliner that I purchased from Costco. Friendly, courteous and on time. I asked them to remove the chair from the box. Wanted to make sure it was not damaged and might need to be returned. They did what I asked without question--even helped me rearrange furniture! The most professional and careful movers I have ever seen! To pick up and return a Persian rug I sent out to be cleaned, they had to move a lot of heavy furniture, take apart a sectional sofa. From our first phone call, to the in-person visit for a rough quote, to moving day itself, everything went smoothly. The final price was right in line with the estimate, and the three movers who handled the loading and unloading were outstanding. They were extremely polite, professional, and communicative throughout the entire process, addressing my husband as "sir" and me as "ma'am" the entire time, which wasn't necessary but really spoke to their level of respect and professionalism. They even moved our safe, which weighs over 1,100 pounds, no easy task! They took great care to protect our belongings, using blankets on almost everything and wrapping items to prevent scuffs or damage. Moving is a lot of work and, selfishly, I hope we don't have to do it again anytime soon, but if we do, we would absolutely call Right Way Movers again in a heartbeat.

Even with a last minute call EMC movers responded right away and showed up on time as we asked. They moved all of our items upstairs to our 3rd floor apartment with such ease and speed. They even were able to put together our furniture and bed, as well as hang our mirror. I am so thankful to have found them and will recommend them to everyone I know, as well as use them for future projects! Christian and Justin are excellent, professional, and hard workers. They got the whole move done in under six hours! The team was friendly (without being TOO friendly) and helpful, and the rate was well below what I was quoted elsewhere. I moved during COVID-19, and the movers wore masks and took necessary precautions. Highly recommend!

Out of roughly 70 boxes (per their estimate), not a single item inside was damaged, which in itself is very impressive! I would expect some items to break even if I packed everything myself. Yes, during the move I was "biting my nails" looking at the hours imminently accumulating... but... despite me nervously preparing to argue over my bill, all calculations came out EXACTLY as discussed with Roy at the office - no pop-up charges, no inflating time, and Roy even called me right after the crew left to check if all the promises he made were kept! They even waived the $150 disposal fee that I expected to pay for hauling away my old couch after foreman saw how small the couch was!!! That's AFTER I agreed to the charge already! This moving company is very honest and upfront about everything! I will for sure use them when I move to Texas next year! After readomg horror story after horror story with other moving companies, I knew I wanted a dedicated team. More costly, but figured it was well worth it to ensure the smoothest move. I got several quotes from other companies and really liked the fast responses from Travis and the price was right. I like that they can transport cars as well, even though we ended up driving our cars. Travis was very prompt in our communications. He answered all of my questions and right up to the day of delivery he was on it. He was even flexible in letting us start a little later in the morning, to give us time for last minute stuff. We were doing a big move. Edmond and team showed up. Turns out it was Edmond, brother and father (Bo). They called ahead of time to let me know they were on the way. Showed up right on time. Edmond was very professional. Walked the house with me to get a lay of the land and understand what we had. We were organized, by having everything already packed up and staged. We did need their help with wrapping the large furniture and fragile things (lamps, TVs, etc.). Once he walked everything, they went to work. And let me say, these guys are efficient. I have made several moves, but these 3 guys were no joke. They knew exactly what they were doing and all they needed were the normal guidance, but otherwise, they did their thing. Travis also came to the house and introduced himself. He explained everything and made sure to let us know that we were in good hands with his team. We shot the breeze a little bit and I got to learn how he started his business and his experience. He's a good guy. Now Bo, Edmond's father is hilarious. He's a character. Great personality and funny. He should be proud of his 2 sons. Edmond is super professional and takes his business very serious. And Bo's younger son just kept plugging away. They finished loading the truck right around the time that Edmond estimated and then they took off to drive to our new house. I was blown away that they got everything on the truck, with some room to spare. They wrapped everything very well. They loaded very methodically. Again, they are efficient and fast (but not fast in a bad way). The unloading was just as efficient. Showed them where everything was supposed to go and they did what they do best, equally efficient and even quicker. These guys made our move as smooth as possible. We feel blessed to have worked with such a great crew. Nothing was broken. There were some minor rubs and marks on a couple of items, but that's to be expected with our large move. From one 2 story home to another. There were also some very minor marks on a couple of walls, but again, you cannot expect to not have that happen. Heck, after they were finished unloading, I was moving one of my night stands and really scraped up the wall (ouch). But all-in-all, these guys were great. I would absolutely use them again. And for sure recommend them. They are very professional, efficient, and know how to move. We did a large move and they did a great job. Thanks Travis, Edmond and team -- you guys are the bizomb!

I reached out to them through Yelp literally…read moreeight days prior to a (very intimidating) move from San Diego to Texas, which had already been booked for months with a large moving company. I began getting cold feet with this other company when some MAJOR red flags started popping up, and at the last possible minute I knew we had to find an alternative...even if it meant losing our $2,000 deposit with this other company. Travis responded within only minutes of my estimate request, and said I could call him (after 9:00 at night), and by the end of that 20 min. call I *knew* I was in good hands. I won't go into much detail beyond that, mainly because there really isn't any to give, that's how simple it truly was! Travis and his amazing team made this move an absolute dream, a "piece of cake", from start to finish. Nothing broken or damaged, no hiccups along the way, no complaints. The added bonus was that using this company saved us hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (and yes, I fought the previous company until they gave my deposit BACK!!). So if you have an upcoming move, I highly suggest you do yourself, your bank account, and your personal possessions a HUGE favor and trust Travis and his crew at Pierce & Company.
