Hey stay 6ft back so I can order my fish & chips
    Frank B.

SPUDS FISH & CHIPS on Green Lake is an institution for North Seattle Locals... Nothing more satisfying than a double fish & chips with cup of Chowda after a walk around Green Lake. First of all what a lunch time view you'll have while dining. However it's not the view it's the decades of quality fish deep fried fish served to perfection that keeps me dining. Every meal has tasted the same since I first stated dining here back in the 80's as a young punk swimming at the lake all summer long... The variety, quality and serving size is epic . Prawns , Claims & Fish on top of a mountain of some of the freshest Idaho potatos aka French Fries accompanying my order. Kudos to management for always having exceptional staff to handle my orders, it does not go unnoticed. Well I'm not sure I can elaborate anymore about how sensational Spuds Fish & Chips on Green Lake has been... So you're gonna have to stop by and grab a bite!

Sunny walk down to check out SPUD while visiting family. Great guys at the counter and brought our LARGE fish and chips out to the table with salts, and vinegars (loved the garlic) Tarter was spot on. Great patio to people watch. They even offered to wrap our leftovers and gave us a bag for the walk home. Thanks guys-We'll be back

Spuds hit the spot when we needed lunch break after spending some time walking around Green Lake. What really stood out was the excellent customer service. Not only was the employee taking our order very friendly, but he explained portion sizes and made suggestions. He followed us outside offering condiments and then brought out all of the things we requested! The pieces of fish are very big, but they are kind of flat, which allows them to be nicely crisp, but have a bit less of a fleshy texture. I found it satisfying for an afternoon snack, despite not being exceptional. Adding garlic malt vinegar and Johnny's seasoning salt leveled up the satisfaction. The fries were more on the limp side, and while not my favorite, were again, satisfying. I also enjoyed being able to sit outside and look at the lake. While I would suggest other options for a more elevated Green Lake experience, I highly recommend Spuds for anyone looking for a quick satisfying bite in the sun and breeze.

Came here for fish and chips with the family on a sunny and cool day. They were tasty, served hot and full of crunch. I like that service was able to get condiments available on hand. Location is easily accessible from around the lake after quite some walking. When craving for fish and chips I would come to Spud!

The staff are the best ~ so friendly and smiley. Their fish and chips are top tier but I mainly became a regular for the staff. The fish is always is a sizeable (if a piece is too small, they give another small) and I'm always well-satiated after single w/chips. And I love that they allow dogs on the patio And almost everything they use is compostable. Ambience is eco-fun.

fish and chips! (1 piece) such a big piece btw

yes so fire! a little walk away from the bus stop, but spud's is worth it forsure. the crispiest, yet juiciest fish. the fish portion was HUGE and not too fishy, and the chips (fries) are to die for. definitely try the seasonings and dressings they provide too, you wont be let down. the tartar sauce is light and creamy and bright. service was 5/5! super friendly and helpful, as it was our first time. theres indoor and outdoor seating across from a huge park, which allowed us to people watch. overall, super clean place with super clean food. not greasy at all, and in fact felt really clean to eat. one of my favorite fish and chips spot in seattle & ill be back!

I consistently have great service here. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The fish and chips are delicious, and I always get the vanilla milkshake! The space is clean and overlooks Green Lake, making it a great spot to dine in if you want to enjoy your meal fresh

Umm, the breading has such crunch!! And the fish is moist... simply delicious!!! There's tables inside and out. Usually a breeze off the water in summer makes it comfortable. Plenty of parking, big lot. The staff is always welcoming & friendly. - Also, if it's "to go", they pack it very carefully. I do really WISH they stayed open later! Nine months of the year they close at 6:00, in summer it's 7:00. (8:00 would be way better; there's been many times I've wanted to go but it was too late.) But still... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

They have two kinds of cod. I always forget the name of the cod I like but I know it's the more expensive one. Delicious! I particularly like that you can order extra pieces of fish and also add pieces of shrimp without having to order a whole meal. We don't want all those fries, as tasty as they are. You order at the counter and wait for them to call your name. There's usually a line. Prices are not cheap, but won't break the bank. My highest rating is not the number of stars I give. It's whether I will return for another meal. Can't eat fried food often but definitely will be back.

Everything was really good and there was a nice variety of things to order. We sat outside on the dock and the seating was probably my favorite part of the whole experience. We arrived around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and were told the wait would be about an hour and 15 minutes. We asked about the bar, and after about five minutes, two seats opened up. We ordered the Dinghy chowder sampler so we could try three different chowders. We came for the clam chowder. I thought the flavor was good, although the texture was a little different for me. The biggest disappointment was the regular clam chowder. We don't eat bacon, and they told us the bacon could not be left out. Since clam chowder was the main reason we came, that really took away from the experience. A few minutes after we ordered, a couple sitting next to us at the bar asked the same question we did: "Is there bacon in the award-winning clam chowder?" When the server said yes, they said, "Okay, never mind. We don't want that." So we weren't the only ones asking. We ended up having the lobster chowder. Overall, 3 out of 5. The experience was okay, but because we couldn't really try the clam chowder we came for, we don't plan to come back.

This restaurant opened pretty recently near the waterfront. I was a bit unsure on what to expect -…read morebecause on one hand it felt like a classic overpriced spot targeting tourists looking for fish, but on the other side Tom Douglas has opened a lot of pretty good places across the city. I had the fish and chips, which are three pieces of Alaskan cod - coming with fries, tartar sauce, and ketchup. These were seriously awesome. I have to first talk about the beer batter on the outside, which has a phenomenal crunch. It's craggly and crunchy in the best of ways - with a consistent crispiness across the entire fish for every piece. I don't think I've ever had a crunch this good on fish and chips. The oil is clearly fresh, and it's served with basically no delay from the frying. I also loved the cod inside. It's super moist and flaky. Obviously, the fish doesn't have a lot of fat, but it makes up for it with a disappearing texture where you barely even need to bite through. They've clearly gotten the formula right on the fish. If that wasn't enough, the fries were easily the best I've ever had with fish and chips. They were hot, thick, and fluffy - a perfect combination that led to delicious results. The portion on these was great as well. If I had one complaint, the tartar sauce wasn't very good. It felt like it was missing both fat and acid, and tasted closer to ranch than what I was expecting a tartar sauce to be. I just didn't end up using it for the fish. Yes, this is pricey. The 3-piece order cost me $26 before tax/tip. That's quite expensive - despite a solid portion size. Is this the best fish and chips in the city? To me it's between this and Pacific Inn Pub. They have a much better tartar sauce and serve a larger portion at a third less of the price, but I think the actual fish and the fries here are better. I would say it's a toss-up - you can't go wrong with either one. Overall, a fantastic new opening that I would love to bring people to. 9/10
