Really liked this place. We came in and ordered a donut for each of my kids and myself, along with a strawberry smoothie and a pastrami breakfast sandwich. We ate inside at the small tables and everything was good. Inside is very small so there would be no guarantees on seating. There were maybe 3 tables. But many chairs were nestled and folded up in the corner so that was great to see there could be chairs for many more people. Just not a ton of space but enough that we were very comfy. I will say the egg on my breakfast sandwich had a ton of pepper. I was ok with that but don't prefer that and in the future may request no pepper on the egg. The service was great. The lady who took our order was helpful and kind. And she seemed to be training another employee. My sandwich was out in no time and l left feeling like this will likely be a regular spot for us when we come into LA for visits each month. Parking isn't great but there is the option to park on the street, which we did. Just note it is metered so l paid $0.50 to park for 30 mins which was just right for us. Across the street is also a lot but l am not familiar enough with the area to know if anyone can park there or not. I will definitely ask next time in case I would like to park there in the future vs the street parking (would rather park in the lot due to having young kids and dealing with their carseats). read more

This place has good Banh Mi. The lower stars are for one of the girls that works there gave me a cup of boiling hot water with ice in it when I asked for a cup of water. I then tried to bring it up with the staff and she got really argumentative with me. All I wanted was a cup of water. I have never seen any place give someone a cup of boiling water with ice in it. Delicious. Tried this place for the first time today based on a recommendation for somewhere that had something sweet to eat. Small donut shop in a strip mall. Parking is limited but one spot was open for me. Went inside and asked a young lady what she normally gets...she suggested either cinnamon bun or chocolate bun. Went with the chocolate. The kind Cambodian lady heated it up. Probably top 10, maybe top 5 pastry I've had. So much chocolate. Essentially a chocolate croissant on roids. So so pillowy soft. So so chocolatey. I want to say I understand the hype but I don't. Maybe I'm not the target demographic for these types of places anymore. I came here with a glimmer of hope, that a late-night donut can bring a delectable end to a nice evening but instead, I walked away disappointed with a slight bitter alcohol aftertaste. Parking: plenty of parking, there's even a female security guard when we went which was great! I love going to places that feel safe for a female, even late at night. Food: I got some Arizona since their selection was a bit unique and my friend got a boba milk tea with grass jelly, and between us, we shared a strawberry cronut and a Nutella cronut. The strawberry cronut was a bit higher priced but was a tad disappointing - the cronut was not as fluffy as I'd hoped, the strawberries were on the tart side. At least both cronuts were slightly warmed. But the Nutella cronut was where things went wrong. I took the first bite and my throat felt a bit warm, wasn't sure if it was because of the Nutella or something else so I took another bite and chewed it slower and was hit with a taste of alcohol like I was eating hand sanitizer. It definitely did not taste like what Nutella was supposed to be like, and it was definitely not the cronut, whipped cream, or the strawberry since the feeling only intensified when I tried the Nutella on its own. I wasn't sure if it was just a me thing, but my friend confirmed that the alcohol taste was even stronger for her and we both couldn't take another bite. She then tried her boba milk tea with the requested add-on of grass jelly but no matter how we stirred the cup, there was only boba (which was alright) and these light-colored jellies that we both have never encountered at another boba shop. The jellies were clearly not the grass jellies we were accustomed to and with alcohol-tasting Nutella, we went back to the shop and informed them what we experienced and that's where the next part starts... Service: the employees were nice at first, they even took our order correctly and didn't take longer than necessary to hand us our order. However, when we ran into the issues with the Nutella cronut and the weird jellies in the milk tea, both employees were not nice anymore. The first one we spoke to was willing to listen to us but it seemed like she either didn't know how to give us a refund or she didn't care so we were handed off to someone who looked like she knew what she was doing. So we described what we experienced and were met with looks as if we were crazy. She proceeded to turn around and take out the Nutella container, using a spoon to have a taste, and then she returned to us saying that she didn't taste anything and that the Nutella was stored properly, saying she was not sure what we were tasting but the Nutella they were using was perfectly fine. My friend was getting frustrated because this felt like gaslighting.. so I spoke up saying that I even tried a few bites but couldn't take anymore because the alcohol flavor was strong and then the employee turned to face me and looked at me as if I was on something. She then told me that she wasn't sure what I tasted but the Nutella they used was still fresh. (Really? the Nutella was stored in a cupboard that was slightly ajar and the lid left an opening as well) I really couldn't believe what I was hearing but the employee eventually said she'll give us a refund, but during the whole process of doing the refund, she was rolling her eyes and looking like she didn't want to be there. Well, you and me both. She kept reiterating that the Nutella they were using is perfectly fine and that she had no idea what we tasted. Eventually, we got our refund but not without reiterating (once again!!) that they normally don't give refunds and they don't understand what we tasted but their Nutella is perfectly fine and I was so done. If I can help it, I will never come back here again. I really wanted to like this place, the donuts looked decent and a lot of college kids were getting their milkshakes which looked okay. Their health rating card wasn't displayed easily as we couldn't even find it. If you're thinking about coming here, I really hope you don't experience what we did. read more

I think this place is very well due to the combination of being 24 hours and being located in the university Village/University Park area where there are lots of USC students. I had a chocolate milkshake, which was good, thick and creamy. I've tried the Thai ice tea as a blend with Boba, it was good. The donuts that I've tried are nice, but do not appear to be anything different than what I would consider a typical or standard donut to be. I've had the Bavarian, which is the doughnut filled with fruit jam, and I've had some of the cake doughnuts with the sprinkles on top. This place does have electronic order kiosks where you place orders and then the number is called out for you to collect your order. So if you're going in at a time that is crowded, you may not have the option of ordering with a person or paying in cash. I went in the other day and I only had cash and I ended up having to leave empty-handed because, they were a bit busy and only doing orders through the self service kiosks. Also, due to the fact that I'm visually impaired, I needed to be able to order with a person. I would say the customer service is not always the greatest. I was there, with my cane, so and obviously visually impaired person, trying to get the attention of a staff member to get assistance ordering and no one helps me. read more

I saw various creams and fruits being crammed between the delicate cronut. In addition, I think you can choose from their various deli meats to make a sandwich out of it. I was actually at the Carl's Jr. drive-through across the street. Location is near USC on Figurroa. I had a coworker bring in donuts, so I decided it was my turn service and donuts both five stars I called while I was still in the drive-through and asked for a dozen assorted donuts. I was so happy when I opened the box at work the donuts were beautiful and it was a nice assortment, not all the donuts they wanted to get rid of these donuts were fresh and several coworkers had more than one :-) my only regret is not signing up for their loyalty program Buy three get one free I think that's how it works signing up next time I go in. Love it person that took my phone order even put my name on the top of the box and had it ready right when I walked in. Female employee with blonde hair has an attitude and is being difficult for no reason. She cannot follow simple instructions that shouldn't be too hard, at least you would think. I'm not sure if she's just having a bad day but personal problems should not be taken to work. While this place is known for their delectable donuts, I love their breakfast sandwiches. There is something about their breakfast sandwiches that make them so good. I have tried the sausage, egg, and cheese on both a bagel and toast, as well as the ham and cheese on toast. Both are great options! The sandwiches are super filling and are made to order.
