Came across this place by chance. I was craving a doughnut after visiting the museums at Exposition Park. Immediately when we walked in I was impressed with how clean and neat the place was. They even had extra chairs in the corner for larger groups! The service was incredibly efficient and courteous and the prices were below what I would expect from the quality of the food. We got a breakfast sandwich on and English muffin, every part was made fresh in front of us. While that was cooking we got an assortment of sweets. Solid place to pick up donuts on the go. There is always parking and while the prices are a bit higher than normal, the service is quick and the donuts are delicious. It can be a bit busy in the morning but the line doesn't take too long so don't let that deter you. Try their amazing sausage egg croissant sandwich--their croissant is unbelievably rich and buttery! The honest folk who run the place are always nice to talk to and watch in the morning. Besides being able to get gourmet breakfast like their croissant sandwiches, you can also grab their donuts, pastries, and thai tea (which is sweet and milky). Don't be fooled by the run-down looking shop, the apple fritters here are amazing. With just the right amount of sweetness (if you don't eat the entire thing at once), cinnamon, and whatever else goes in a typical apple fritter, this cheap ($2!!!) and decent-sized fritter is amazing. Came on a Friday night around 8pm and it was pretty empty. The place is a little dingey-actually who am I kidding, it's pretty sketch. But the donuts are really good. I came with my brother on a Friday night after dinner around 8pm and there was no customers except a lone policeman (how cliche) but the donut selection was very limited. We got the plain Cronut and the maple bacon donut. The Cronut was pretty good, not too sweet, crispy yet buttery texture with the right amount of cream inside. The maple bacon donut was meh, nothing too special, the bacon looked a little sad but it was still crispy. We were pleasantly surprised by the donuts so we decided to get another and we chose the bear claw. I was skeptical because it was really big and looked like an actual bear claw with fingers and stuff (I've never had one before so don't judge my disbelief). And this was really good! It was filled with like apple pie filling and the donut was glazed. So it's like an apple pie donut basically. So so so yummy and I'll definitely be back for it, not too expensive too especially for the size, around $2/3. read more

I'm not much of a pastry guy but when I treat myself I want the BEST. I never came here intoxicated but I can tell you from my 3-5 visits that the timing of the baked foods is highly variable. Sometimes you can grab most of the fresh/hot doughnuts around 1 AM and other days the new batch of the doughnuts would not come out untill 4:30 AM. I still prefer KK specialties over some the more renown ones here like Bear Claws, Cinnarolls, and Apple Fritters. What makes this a good but not great spot is the slow service, lack of consistency, and more importantly there was nothing special about the products. Sugar fix! I've stopped by here a couple times, usually after partying nearby on the row and feeling the craving for something sweet. They have a lot of different options so there is something for everyone. There isn't too much seating inside but I've only taken my doughnuts to go so this isn't a problem. Love spudnuts they don't only have donuts they have several choices including, milk teas, or refreshing teas, with or without boba, they have sandwiches, and ice cream. They are so delicious and to die for. It will just make your mouth water. I really recommend this place if you want a place that has all your faves, for brunch or snack. This place may be questionable when you look at it but it is totally worth it and has reasonable price, and not even that expensive. This place is really efficient and the service is quick. The Nutella cronut does cost a lil more but it is totally worth it and my favorite and is so delicious . We live in fountain valley so whenever we are in the area we have to make a stop there, it's my favorite donut spot EVER. I usually order a sugar donut and a Thai tea with boba. straight up feel sick 2/3 times I come here. I realize most people going here just see it down the street and go for it so this review doesn't matter. mostly just a reminder to myself because I keep giving myself a dumb stomach ache for no reason. As a USC student, Spudnuts has been crucial to my college experience. The only 24-hour donut shop within walking distance around campus, it offers an assortment of deliciously greasy breakfast sandwiches, an assorted variety of donuts and pastries, ice cream, smoothies/boba/coffee, as well as an impressive collection of blinged-out iPhone cases. To me, the breakfast sandwiches and smoothies set Spudnuts apart from other donut shops. There's just something so yummy about an all-American, greasy breakfast sandwich, especially after a crazy night. I also love the smoothies they make (my go-to is a combination of strawberry, peach, and mango...YUM). There is also a microwave toward the back for you to heat up your donut and a couple tables. I was craving a bagel and cream cheese so I searched on yelp and this place sounded really good. I ordered a sesame bagel and cream cheese, a Nutella Cronut and a freshly squeezed orange juice. The bagel was perfect, absolutely satisfied my craving and the Cronut was amazing!!! Not too sweet like some have mentioned. At least I didn't think it was and I don't like things overly sweet. He took a fly swatter and killed the fly over the counter and cutting board area. He didn't even bother to pick up the dead fly, didn't clean the cutting board or counter and did not wash his hands. They said they would offer me a dollar off, but watched me drop my sandwich. They don't care about their customers. Also I've gotten FOOD POISONING from their food. Went here in order to get my first cronut. They have a couple of delicious flavors that they make to order. I had the strawberry and cream one and loved it more than the sugared one. The donut holes are a must as well. I will be back next time I have a craving for sweets.
