Extremely good mini pancakes with creative toppings. I recommend going for 15 or more pancakes!! Strawberries are really fresh. Absolutely awesome dessert!!

If you love to eat pancakes 24/7, then Chiky Pancakes are for you! Located in the DTLA Night Market this small mini pancake business give you the opportunity to create delicious concoctions! Make right in front of you, you'll get to build your own with the toppings, fruits, & sauces of your choice. I recommend you try the Fruity Pebbles & Mazapan Crumble which includes: Condensed Milk, caramel, powdered sugar, white chocolate, fruity pebbles, Mazapan crumbs, strawberries & whipped cream!

We ordered the OG pancakes with Nutella, bananas, strawberries and powder chicken AND the Mazapan Lovers with Tres Leches, caramel, white chocolate, strawberries and mazapan crumbs. The pancakes were so DELICIOUS! I could really use Mazapan Lovers with now with some hot chocolate! We definitely are taking another trip again one of these weekends. Beware Chiky Pancakes always have long lines because they are just that GOOD!

Banana, strawberries , whipped cream, caramel and tres leches. Bomb!

I see the little pancakes on ig and I wanted to try them. Glad this was my first impression. It was at the Pico Rivera night market. They have a huge line but they move fast. I ordered one of their popular selections. It definitely was good! Stop by and check them out for yourself. Thanks for the good visit guys. Keep it up.

Coming across their stall when going to a mini night market, I was able to try out their mini pancakes! I just love the fact that we were given the choice to add our own fruit, sauce, and toppings, but I definitely had to try their signature pancakes! The colors from the fruits made the dessert pop out so well and is such a great small biter at a night market. One of the best foods to carry around as I tour around the market and a cozy hot chocolate to pair with fluffy sweets and cold night. I at first expected them to taste the regular old pancakes you can make at home, but when I took a bite, it was so warm, light, and fluffy, I just had to go in for another bite. The staff there were very nice and friendly, explaining how things worked there since was my first time. They were so patient while I was deciding on what to order and introduced us to new flavors I have never tried before!

Actually an oasis in a concrete wasteland…read more From the place we were parking at, we walked by Fleur Cafe on the way to Anime Expo. Service was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They made sure to check up on us several times throughout the visit and explained the menu quite well. If you told me this was a cafe in Pasadena or another not as "ghetto" location, I'd believe you. The fresh burst of green, the plants everywhere, fresh cut flowers on each table, and the decor (even in the restroom), is actually a breath of fresh air to all the trash, cement, and urban cityscape outside. For our brunch, we got the: 1) Fleur Burrito (the cafe's name is in the name, it has to be good, right?): -Huge, generous portion and we had this cut in half. -Comes with scrambled eggs, house made chicken chorizo, rice, black beans, tomato, onion, jalapeno, and cilantro wrapped in a flour tortilla. -You can ask for salsa or hot sauce to the side but the filling was seasoned so well that it wasn't necessary to sauce it up (something I usually do with all of my burritos). -Everything was evenly spaced on the inside, making each bite a delicious mix of textures and tastes. They don't skimp out on the protein either. Good and filling for a long day. 2) Sweet Sunshine: -This is a strawberry, mango, agave, lemon juice and oat milk smoothie. It is a bit pricy for $10, but if you look at Jamba Juice, this is a much better deal with how fresh all the fruit is and how thick the smoothie is. Definitely filled me up to the point where I could only take a couple bites of the burrito and I had more than enough to fill a to go cup on our way out. I know we'll be trapped going to AX in the future, so this may be a yearly stop for us when we're in the area.

The omelette is great, the side of green salsa adds a perfect little zing, and the side salad is impressive: fresh, fluffy greens and a delicious dressing. One thing: when you order online there isn't an option to add cheese to the omelette, so if cheese is a necessity you might have to call it in. Can't wait to try other offerings!

We couldn't be seated right away given that we were late, and the wait ended being an extra 15 minutes longer for our party of 7. They really made it work for us, so we were very appreciative. Parking: Our group split up between $8 and $10 nearby lots for the whole day. All within a 5 minute walk away. Location: Right across the street from the Original LA Flower Market warehouse. Fun activity to do after eating. Also had a bunch of other flower and plant shops nearby. Restrooms: Shared with the Flower Market. Clean, and no need for a code. Just push the door. Food: Last but not least - scrumptious food! Plating is beautiful, and food was very satisfying. I got the chicken + waffles, and it was delicious with the honey and butter glaze. If you're looking for more leafy greens, I also highly recommend the Fried Chicken Egg Benedict.

They focus way too much on what the food or reels look like and forget that they still need to serve the customer. The service was slow. Our server, Brea, treated us like a large group (which meant an automatic 20% gratuity), but she didn't take all of our orders at the same time. Instead, she made us wait as if we were separate tables. She took the orders from two sections of our group and then just left. We thought she was simply putting menus away and would come right back. Nope. She cleaned other tables, cashed out another table, and we eventually had to wave her down just to place the rest of our order. The food was good, but not good enough to overlook the service. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. The first few bites were delicious, but after a while the grits became a little too salty for my liking. Overall, I'm glad I tried it at least once. My husband ordered the Waffle Chicken Sandwich, which was really good. The sauce tasted similar to buffalo sauce, and it paired well with the sweetness of the waffle. Unfortunately, the wait for our checks was just as bad. Our server would make eye contact with us and then continue doing other things. It was ridiculous how little she checked on us after taking our order. The tables and chairs were already uncomfortable, so having to sit there even longer waiting to pay was frustrating. The only reason this is a 3-star review and not lower is because the food was really good and well seasoned. I would not come back again. Javier was the one who finally helped us pay our check and get out of there. I wish we could have removed the automatic 20% gratuity based on the service we received, but at that point it was what it was.

For my main, I got the chicken katsu bowl. The katsu sauce is peanut based, which added a unique twist, and when I asked for hot sauce, they brought out one that was absolutely incredible. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying moist and tender inside. Even the rice and salad that came with the bowl were flavorful and clearly made with care. My boyfriend ordered the pastrami burrito, which he loved, along with a vanilla cold brew. Both were gone in no time. Great food, great flavors, and plenty of menu items I'd come back to try. We'll definitely be back.

And, I'm a repeat customer at Flipper's, which says a lot. I rarely return to a place unless it deserves my time and money. Flipper's definitely does! Flipper's is a neighborhood gem and is always such a great experience. The soufflé pancakes absolutely live up to the hype. They're fluffy, light, and somehow still rich and satisfying without feeling too heavy. The presentation is beautiful, and the food actually tastes as good as it looks, which isn't always the case with trendy brunch spots. Flipper's has a Palm Springs vibe: bright, stylish, and relaxed, with a fire pit(!). And, the staff is generally kind and attentive. I also appreciate that the menu has a good balance of sweet and savory options: I've ordered and highly recommend: the Croque Madame, Fried Chicken & Truffles, 2 Eggs Any Style, Chicken & Waffles...and, of course, the Fresh Fruit Soufflé Pancakes. Flipper's is the kind of place that feels fun for a solo coffee date, brunch with friends, or taking out-of-town guests. We both ordered the traditional breakfast plates and it definitely did not disappoint. It was a pretty large breakfast with bacon, eggs, potatoes, a croissant and two crepes with your choice of hot sauces around the table. We ate so much and still had so much to bring home. This did us good for two meals and I loved the incorporation of the crepes, which I feel like you normally don't get on a traditional breakfast plates. The potatoes were crispy and crunchy on the outside but a very nice soft potatoey texture on the inside and of course the bacon was exactly how bacon should be when you order it. Wished I ordered orange juice or another coffee drink instead because the chai latte was just a bit too sweet for my liking, but I still drank the whole thing. There was a water dispenser provided with to go boxes self serve which I really appreciated. Loved the atmosphere as well and the bathroom was very clean.
