I see the little pancakes on ig and I wanted to try them. Glad this was my first impression. It was at the Pico Rivera night market. They have a huge line but they move fast. I ordered one of their popular selections. It definitely was good! Stop by and check them out for yourself. Thanks for the good visit guys. Keep it up.

Extremely good mini pancakes with creative toppings. I recommend going for 15 or more pancakes!! Strawberries are really fresh. Absolutely awesome dessert!!

If you love to eat pancakes 24/7, then Chiky Pancakes are for you! Located in the DTLA Night Market this small mini pancake business give you the opportunity to create delicious concoctions! Make right in front of you, you'll get to build your own with the toppings, fruits, & sauces of your choice. I recommend you try the Fruity Pebbles & Mazapan Crumble which includes: Condensed Milk, caramel, powdered sugar, white chocolate, fruity pebbles, Mazapan crumbs, strawberries & whipped cream!

We ordered the OG pancakes with Nutella, bananas, strawberries and powder chicken AND the Mazapan Lovers with Tres Leches, caramel, white chocolate, strawberries and mazapan crumbs. The pancakes were so DELICIOUS! I could really use Mazapan Lovers with now with some hot chocolate! We definitely are taking another trip again one of these weekends. Beware Chiky Pancakes always have long lines because they are just that GOOD!

Coming across their stall when going to a mini night market, I was able to try out their mini pancakes! I just love the fact that we were given the choice to add our own fruit, sauce, and toppings, but I definitely had to try their signature pancakes! The colors from the fruits made the dessert pop out so well and is such a great small biter at a night market. One of the best foods to carry around as I tour around the market and a cozy hot chocolate to pair with fluffy sweets and cold night. I at first expected them to taste the regular old pancakes you can make at home, but when I took a bite, it was so warm, light, and fluffy, I just had to go in for another bite. The staff there were very nice and friendly, explaining how things worked there since was my first time. They were so patient while I was deciding on what to order and introduced us to new flavors I have never tried before!

Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. They made sure to check up on us several times throughout the visit and explained the menu quite well. If you told me this was a cafe in Pasadena and not DTLA, I'd believe you. The fresh burst of green, the plants everywhere, fresh cut flowers on each table, and the decor (even in the restroom), is actually a breath of fresh air to all the cement and urban cityscape outside. For our brunch, we got the: 1) Fleur Burrito (the cafe's name is in the name, it has to be good, right?): -Huge, generous portion and we had this cut in half. -Comes with scrambled eggs, house made chicken chorizo, rice, black beans, tomato, onion, jalapeno, and cilantro wrapped in a flour tortilla. -You can ask for salsa or hot sauce to the side but the filling was seasoned so well that it wasn't necessary to sauce it up (something I usually do with all of my burritos). -Everything was evenly spaced on the inside, making each bite a delicious mix of textures and tastes. They don't skimp out on the protein either. Good and filling for a long day. 2) Sweet Sunshine: -This is a strawberry, mango, agave, lemon juice and oat milk smoothie. It is a bit pricy for $10, but if you look at Jamba Juice, this is a much better deal with how fresh all the fruit is and how thick the smoothie is. Definitely filled me up to the point where I could only take a couple bites of the burrito and I had more than enough to fill a to go cup on our way out. I know we'll be trapped going to AX in the future, so this may be a yearly stop for us when we're in the area.

Our server, Kimi V. was also great. We tried the Shrimp Pasta (10/10, highly recommended), the Crispy Chicken Wings (10/10. They make these in a particular way, please ask them to explain it to you: the end result is fantastic), fish tacos (7/10, they're good, but I am neither a fish nor a taco person (however, I do like some good shrimp tacos). These ones in particular were plated and served so well ( they use blue corn tortilla: top-notch ingredient) and the ingredients were fresh, but maybe it was the type of fish? I don't really know, they were good, but I definitely would not order them again). Also, my friend had a coconut cold brew which he really enjoyed. Service was all around great. Ambiance was fantastic, the whole restaurant has a very upscale, chic vibe while also being unique in its own way. Even the restroom, that was super clean and well-maintained, has a very unique and interesting setup for what is the sink. All around great place, highly recommended. 10/10. UPDATE: Added names and more clarification on the fish tacos. Thank you to the GM in leaving a response. Your whole team is fantastic. I'll definitely be back.

Their pastries are top notch, always made with seasonal ingredients. Breakfast is amazing. Vibes are immaculate, lots of seating. You can park in the neighborhoods nearby, but be respectful and aware of locals. - Doubtless breakfast burrito: 12/10. Get this if you can only get one thing. Braised pork shoulder, potatoes, white cheddar, smoked chili, cilantro, onion, eggs, tomatillo salsa. I need to reiterate that I don't like breakfast burritos because they're usually greasy and heavy, and one-note. But this has such a wonderful variety of tastes and textures -- the pork shoulder is juicy and flavorful, not heavy or greasy. Tomatillo is house-made, zesty and refreshing. - Bread + jam: seasonal jam (blueberry) and sprouted rye. 7.5/10 because the portion was so small, but everything is housemade and it tastes that way. - Passionfruit pie: 10/10. Macadamia graham crust, passionfruit custard, house whipped cream, fresh passionfruit. On par with the passionfruit pies I had in Hawaii. Wonderfully tart, not too sweet, whipped cream is clearly fresh. Crust is nutty and not too buttery. - Matcha latte: 3/10. Matcha is low quality, tasted bland and weak.

We even added an extra basket of chicken with dipping sauces because apparently we came prepared to eat. Overall, the portions were generous, presentation was great, and everything was enjoyable. That said, while I liked the meal, it didn't quite reach that "I need to come back immediately" level for me. A few things were better than others, and for a brunch spot with this much hype, I was expecting just a little more wow factor. Still, it's absolutely worth checking out especially if you're into fluffy pancakes and over-the-top brunch dishes. Good food, fun presentation, and a satisfying brunch. I'd return, but I'd definitely come back for those pancakes first. :)
