After three trips to this location I can comfortably offer a few observations. The burgers are consistently cooked to a medium rare, which is such a refreshing change from most gourmet burger places where the patty is blackened and as dry as parchment. The soft drinks are notably tasty. That's the Good. The Bad are the fries, greasy and seemingly frozen. The burgers (and fries) are served on tiny paper trays that are way too small for the serving sizes, so be prepared to drip some grease on your table. The lettuce isn't shredded, so you better have a vice-like grip, or your tomatoes and burger will slide out of the bun and on to the already greasy table top. The cheese skirt that so amazed Guy Fiere is certainly unique but it's cumbersome without adding any special flavor to the meal. On our last visit the young lady working the register had the personality of a mahogany table. A toothpick fell off the ceiling onto our table, but no one was injured or offended. The Ugly? That's an easy call: the prices. Given what we are charged I would expect to find real plates and glasses, a little snazzier decor, and cashier with some pizazz. The restaurant hours are hardly convenient for dinner patrons forcing some, no doubt, to the nearby Mel's Diner. read more

the prices are really high and they close on sundays like they are chick fil a the worker told me she gets paid below minimum wage but they do got some beautiful workers which is a plus in customer service, now the reason i gave one star is it's hot, no air, the customer service was slow and she rushed me to get my order when i wan never even prepared to look at the menu. She showed me something that I assumed would be worth while but all i saw was a burger that should be called a slider. Now who wants to pay 6 dollars for a slider that these people call a burger. one positive is you can see them make your food so you'll know if they spit it in it or not. the drinks aren't cold and the ice is hot. the workers look irritated to be here but i would assume that's because of the hot stove they have to cook over. the tables are sticky and not clean, some of them are broken. also the workers cooking do not wear hair nets as well as them having long hair. they don't cook with proper equipment, meaning no gloves. they are very patriotic as well. they wiped their spatulas one their aprons. read more

Just had Squeeze Inn for dinner ... we both got cheeseburgers, also ordered fries with cheese and a vanilla milkshake. Twenty six bucks later and all I have is one word: terrible. The burger was tasteless, not only because it took me like 6 or 7 bites of bun and lettuce only to get any of it, but also because it really just had no flavor. Fries were what I would expect from Jack In the Box (that may be an insult to Jack In the Box). The vanilla milkshake was the only semi-tasty thing (and In and Outs vanilla milkshake is much better). Don't waste your money (or a cheat dinner) there. Will never go back. read more

Sorry, I was not impressed at all. I am always on the hunt for a great burger (and fries), and this place just didn't do it for me--at all. I suspect that BOTH the meat patty and the fries came from frozen packaging. The meat did not seem of great quality at all, and definitely seemed to be prepackaged; same deal with the fries. Sorry Squeeze Inn, it's a no-go for me. ...best burger I've ever had was at Dad's Kitchen in Sac. 2nd best burger I've ever had (and best onion rings) was at Burger Me in Truckee. I'm a big fan of the Squeeze burger but they have a bit to learn about running a business. There is only one cash register and the person taking the orders writes down every order on a pad and then has to ring you up. The ordering process takes forever. We were in line about half way to the door and it took a half hour just to get to the register. I felt sorry for those who were out the door, it probably took them 45 min to an hour just to place an order. I wrote to the Squeeze Inn through their website and they totally didn't get my complaint. They said to call ahead if I'm short on time. How in the world would that help when I'd still have to stand in the same long line to pay for my food? The burger was great but the other frustrations made me not want to return anytime soon. read more

The place isn't much to look at. Prices seem kind of expensive, cheese is extra, soda, fries, etc all extra. Employees were friendly. The burger was OK, the bun was good...a few of our group's burgers looked pretty undercooked. The buns are soaked in butter which gives it a real salty taste. The meat looked really greasy. My husband and I have been big fans of the Squeeze Inn for a while. We have always known that it takes time to get a burger done. We have been both to the Sacramento location and to the Roseville one (we live less than a mile from the Roseville one). We purchased half off certificates from the local radio station that said they were to be used at Sacramento and Galt. When we received these (we bought several), we called up the Roseville location to see if they would accept them. They happily said they would. My first use, I didn't use the entire $25. They wrote the remaining balance on the certificate and gave it back to me. My next visit, I used the remainder. On my third visit, I handed them a $25 certificate and was informed that they now only accept them IF you use the entire $25. There was nothing posted anywhere in their establishment about the policy. No problem. We ordered a few extra things and went on our merry way. My husband and I decided to go there again this weekend. We waited about 10 minutes in line to order. We get up to the counter to order and are told that now they DON'T accept the certificates at all. There is nothing listed anywhere in their establishment or on their facebook page in regards to the policy changing. When my husband mentioned this to the manager/owner, he told my husband that we are the only ones he has a problem with. No apology, no "We no longer accept these. Sorry for the inconvenience." Nothing. I have no problem with the fact that they don't accept them. I have a problem with the fact they don't list their policies about accepting them and that we received attitude from the management when asking about it. Sorry. Never again. read more

I first saw this place on TV awhile ago and wanted to try it -- then I heard they had opened in Roseville and I knew I had to go see what all the hype was about. While in line that day, I saw some of the "Squeeze Cheese" burgers being taken to a nearby table -- for the uninitiated, I'm guessing most people's reaction would be similar to mine... "HOLY S____!!!". The lady behind the counter raised an eyebrow at me and smiled when I ordered a DOUBLE Squeeze Cheese with fries, but what the hell -- It's obvious I wasn't there for a salad. I sat there patiently waiting my turn (I think I caught myself drooling a little bit). I observed different techniques of the people around me as to how to attack the cheese skirt: Folding it in on itself; like a big orange paper airplane or chewing around it in a circle like a dog chasing it's tail. Either way seemed to get the job done. When mine finally arrived, I opted to tear a piece off & try it before committing -- it seemed as if there were a pound of cheese on that bad boy, oozing out all sides into a giant, semi-rigid-cheddar-Frisbee. The taste was amazing - I nearly inhaled it along with the awesome fries and made my way to the car. TIP OF THE DAY: Even though the sun was out, I kept my heavy jacket on and turned the heat all the way up for the ride home thinking that may somehow keep the 2+lbs of beef & cheese in a near liquid state long enough not to cling to any internal organs I might need later on. It's been a few months now since that original visit and I've been back many times with friends and family. Definitely worth the trip (Just don't try it on Sunday, they're closed). read more

I have been to this squeeze inn a few times(never again) (I live in roseville) and am somewhat frugal....I tried to use a coupon ( buy one menu item and receive one)...they were more interested in if it was THEIR coupon and not one of the other franchise locations (THEY WILL NOT TAKE ANOTHER LOCATIONS COUPON)...even though they must be making enough money for what they charge to live in Beverly hills....i sat down with my wife after paying and tried to figure out how I just spent $20.00 on a buy one cheeseburger and get one free....I figured it out.... $6.05 for the burger.... $1.45 cents for cheese (thats right).... $4.18 for two SMALL sodas (12 oz.).... $3.99 for a large fries (which comes in a small paper basket). One free item did not include the cost of the cheese...so add another $1.45.... plus tax..... $20.00....your meal comes in a paper basket ....the cheese is good, but once you eat the cheese around the burger there is none left on the actual burger....I wish there was a plate so you could set the burger down after you take a bite.....but once you finally pry the burger out of the paper tray you wont dare set it down again for fear that you will need a knife and fork to finish it....I agree about the staff ....very ungrateful...and yes please bus your own table....dont worry about throwing away something they save .....nothing is reusable. read more

The only thing is that it wasn't REALLY a Chicago style, there were no yellow peppers on it... But the bun was the best part! First time at the Roseville location since I never was motivated to drive all the way downtown for a burger. It has rec'd a lot of publicity not only on DDD but the scammer who tried to sue the smaller location for ADA violations, forcing them to move to a larger spot, I felt sorry for this business and wanted to show support a local diner vs a large chain. The Squeeze with cheese was juicy and flavorful, but I did have to open the bun and stuff the cheese "skirt" back on top of the burger. Bun to Burger ratio, it was okay to me. I thought it was way too expensive though, which I think is due to the fact that they simply "can" charge this much and folks will pay it. The fries were okay, a little too soft and squishy for my liking, but ate them anyway cause they were there. They charge way too much for "extra" toppings like mushrooms, onions or other relatively cheap additions. You end up spending at least 10.00 for a burger, which I think is just too much. People keep comparing to IN-OUT, but what about Red Robin? I would say this is comparable to that, but at least I get bottomless fries and my order is taken at my seat and they dont charge extra for a small dollop of ranch Just sayin'. read more

First time there. Staff were nice. They really need to clean the place. Fans were filthy, stuff on the floors that looked like it had been there a while. Squeeze Inn refers to the squeez'n into clothes one would have to do after ingesting so much fat. Atmosphere zero and logistics a bit confusing. If you're not a local than how do you know to go to the counter to order? Visited today for the first time at lunchtime. The cheeseburger tasted OK, but I don't understand the rave reviews others give for them. The bun turned soggy almost immediately and the meat was average at best. They really need to add a second cash register so that people aren't forced to stand in lines, otherwise they will lose customers to other burger places pretty rapidly. It looked like they had some other interesting items on the menu, but if I do go back at some point it likely won't be for the cheeseburger and if the line is out the door I"ll go elsewhere. read more

I found the squeeze burger OK but nothing special, the frys were no different than some of the other non fransise burger joints. This place IS not good at all! I dont see how people eat this garbage. The fries were soggy and the burgers were burnt! they put like a pound of burnt cheese over the burger and it has rock solid bread. I felt like i was going to have a heart attack when i eat this, the burger alone lookes like its over 2000 calories by its self. Shame on you Squeeze Inn Roseville, first of all for changing the expiration date on your groupon coupons. Also, we work hard for our money, and enjoy a deal when we can get one. Came in with just my husband for a quick meal and was told we had to use our entire $25 coupon or forfeight the remaining balance, we left. Many times with gift certificates the remainder of the balance is somehow written on the coupon, so that you get to use the full amount of the deal. Not in your case. Shame on you for taking advantage the working class fools that assumed they were getting a fair deal at your restaurant! read more

Waited for shop to open..two customers waiting.."better than In n Out" raived one customer. $23 dollars and 20 minutes later we got out burgers, fries and small drinks. Average sized burger with grease dripping off the cheese. Cheese crispy on the ends but they break off and make a mess. Fries ok not great and ranch side (.50 cents extra) comes in a very small cup-maybe 1/4 oz. , bun standard store bought , no much to get excited about. All in all I would choose In n Out over this burger...their food is fresh, tasty and cost lots less. read more

She was grumpy and just all business. There was no line to speak of but she talked so fast we had to ask her to repeat herself. God forbid you change any part of your order. Went here for dinner, doors were open, no signs saying they were closed. It was about 8:05 and was turned away by saying "we are closed 'guys' " pretty bad as I work at a restaurant that closes during lunch hours we have a clearly marked sign and lock the doors.
