Carlos is a fantastic manager and staff is great however the General manager was very rude to my wife, will be in touch with my attorney to sue this general manager a real big shot we have been going there for the last four years had have a small service dog that is ADA certified never bothers anyone, and were kicked out . He broke Florida law . I can proof he is a certified service dog. Would not normally waste my time or money on his but his rudeness is not right and needs to be accounted for. read more

If I could give this place less then 1 star I would. The 1 star is for our waitress Lauren and the sunset view. Other then that this place was not worth the time or money. The food was diner grade. The drinks were over priced. There were little biting gnats during our whole dinner. The dock "outside waterfront" seating was warped and slanted. Lastly when I went to use the bathroom on my way out there were a bunch of live roaches running around as soon as I turned on the light. Not to mention the nasty musty smell when you go downstairs. Had I used the restroom prior to dinner I definitely would have left. We ordered the stuffed shrimp which came out in soufflé dishes with cold microwaved vegetables and a scoop of cold bland mashed potatoes. The shrimp were placed in this dish and then minced crab meat was placed on top. We ordered the bacon wrapped plantains to start. Two of them didn't have bacon and they were overly drenched in the sauce they use. Food was just a major disappointment. Lauren was a sweetheart and very professional. Very personable and attentive. She showed us the catfish and the algae glow that was occurring. She gave us a pack of crackers so we could feed them as well. She also gave us a can of bug spray to help with the gnats but the can was low and we could only squeeze a little out. This place was such a disappointment all around. read more

service was terrible as a family we came to have a nice dinner to support my veteran grandpa who passed away 2 years ago. We wore T-shirts to support him that clearly stated he's a veteran,today was his birthday we went to the restaurant and my grandma got sea sick she did throw up so we politely asked the employees for a rag or water to clean the mess up the employee we spoke to shrugged his head as if he couldn't help the situation, and than we asked if my poor grandma could have some bread to help the manager was rude and did nothing to make our stay welcome and said if we wanted to complain than we can get out. our family will never come back and I dare say they do not support veterans. read more

Tried this spot for the first time. Greats: Loved the Bimini Bread (I appreciate a good Bimini Bread bring from South Florida). The Conch Fritters were pretty good, but not the best I've ever tried. My son was happy with his Fish Fingers. Hubs was happy with this stuffed shrimp. My grilled shrimp in citrus butter were ok (the shrimp tasted like they were previously frozen). I'm not sure I'd choose this stop again - especially since we have other favorites not too far away. But, it was nice and outside type patio seating. read more

Amazing food! Their fish and chips is the best I've ever had and so unique. Luckily, it wasn't very hot when we went, though I can imagine the outdoor seating can get pretty hot. They have a little pier on the water that's gorgeous at sunset! Just be sure to watch little ones, because they can easily fall into the water if not careful. It ended up being a little pricey, but it was the best food we've had on our trip, so we'd definitely return in the future! read more

This place has one of the best sunsets in Cocoa Beach! A great outdoor area with a bar and lot of seating, but it gets filled up quick. Happy hour drinks are mostly water. Would never go back again! We were told no one was working at the inside bar so we got drinks from the outside one and sat inside. It had been a while since we had been to Squid Lips, but not because we had had a bad experience previously. We visited recently for lunch because we happened to be in the area. We ordered two cocktails and they were very tasty. But it was the food that absolutely blew us away. We ordered conch fritters and smoked fish spread for appetizers, and they were as good or better than most we have had in the Keys. I truly enjoyed my grilled fish sandwich and my wife praised her Cuban sandwich as the best in Brevard. We both would highly recommend a visit to Squid Lips when visiting Cocoa Beach. read more

This place might just surprise you with its entrance but u will be so happy u did stop, 1st a koi pond next a beautiful nice reception and then the deck with live music and small boardwalk so if u come in a boat can dock and eat too. I had the Mahi sandwich with pineapple and teriyaki sauce. It was very good though a little dry but not too much. I'd give it a 5 star but wait staff was a little slow. I am on a beach trip by myself so I ordered take out. The appetizer that I ordered was the potato chip appetizer that had blue cheese, blue cheese fondue and balsamic glaze on it. It also was supposed to have tomatoes and green onions as a garnish. I suppose. I had less than a tablespoon of actual blue cheese. As for the blue cheese fondue, there was a kind of a small puddle of it and the bottom of the container, but there was none on any of the chips. The balsamic glaze was barely put on. I literally had to dig to the bottom to try to find anything that was worth eating. The chips were also overcooked and dark. Was really unhappy being one of those things that I really shouldn't eat but decided to order to treat myself. What a complete waste of money! The entree I ordered was, the citrus salmon. The vegetables had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. They kind of looked like they had been boiled. The potatoes were fine. A little dry but okay. The salmon had been totally overcooked. Very dry even with the supposed citrus glaze. That was kind of puddled underneath. It was so watery it did not stick to the fish. So it did not help with the moisture level. I paid 30 something dollars for a meal that went into the trash. I would never eat there again. By the way, it's a Wednesday evening and it wasn't busy at all so they cannot use that as an excuse. read more

As much as they claimed pet service only, we were denied of entry because the dog did not have a vest. We informed them that service dogs are not required to wear anything, yet the hostess and front manager still denied entry. Employees should be train regarding service animal access. read more

Amazing! My wife and I came down for our honey moon and stayed in Kissimmee for Disney. After going to the parks we figured we would swing over to the beach and see it. We planned this beach trip on Monday, and made our visit on Friday. The whole week excited to try Squid Lips, and I have to say they did not disappoint! Our waitress was very respectful, and very quick to refill or ask if we needed anything. Though it wasn't busy (We were there around 2pm) it still was a very fun environment! With the music and the water front there was plenty to see! Our Baja Fish Tacos were amazing! The pico tasted very fresh, and the sauce really made it! My wife got the stuff flounder, and even though I am not much of a flounder person it was amazing as well! I got the Keys Combo, with grilled Mahi & Shrimp with the Black Pepper Cherry sauce (I don't remember exactly) and it was amazing! The shrimp was some of the better I have had, and the mahi was definitely one of the best I had. The sauce really made the difference! I have to say, for future trips we will be making the 1.5 hr drive from Kissimmee over for Squid Lips! read more

Our family decided to give Squid Lips a try while on vacation. We walked in to the lobby and were greeted with a very kind hostess. She went to set up a table for our group. We waiting in the lobby and it was rather warm and stuffy. When we sat down our server came over and greeted us right away. He got our drinks quickly. The coconut margarita was a little small and wasn't very strong for $10. We ordered two appetizers, the coconut shrimp and the fried calamari. The shrimp were crispy, hot, and flavorful but small. The calamari was a good size but it was almost cold when it came out. Our group ordered many different menu items: burgers, salmon, shrimp, wraps, and fish sandwich. The burgers were good. The shrimp were well cooked and flavorful. The wrap and the fish were good as well. The salmon (Italian citrus glaze) was bland and overcooked but it was a large piece. The shrimp and salmon plates came with rice and vegetables. The rice was basically slop/mush and it tasted bad. The vegetables seemed like they were from a frozen microwaveable bag and had very little flavor. For roughly $20+ plates, not worth it. Maybe go for a burger or sandwich instead of an entree plate. Doesn't seem worth it honestly. Additionally, the restrooms had a foul odor as if they had not been cleaned. Not trying to be a hater, just trying to give an honest review of our experience. read more

Service was poor during our visit and the food was unremarkable. The restaurant was very empty on a Wednesday afternoon. There were three of us in our party. Ordered the calamari appetizer which was decent. Our waiter wasn't the one who brought our food out and rarely returned to the table to check on us or ask if we needed more drinks. Two of us had mahi mahi. The fish was okay but the rice and veggies tasted and appeared to be out of grocery store steam bag. Not bad tasting but very bland. We initially asked for outdoor seating next to heaters but were told they were all broken. Our table moved back and forth until we used a butter knife to steady it. The building felt tired and we could see the staff hanging out inside just chatting while we waited for service. Won't return here or recommend. read more

What can I say? We walk in, the hostess is on the phone (it's really not that difficult to multitask and say hello, one minute) but instead we stood waiting. She didn't even look up to acknowledge us. Finally we were brought out back, she tried to set us in an area with no one around off to the side, under an umbrella table. (mind you there was no one to begin with it the primary seating) It also looked like it was about to rain, so I had to suggest we be sat under the roof area. I feel like everyone was "weird" from hostess, bartender, to waitress. Not the typical vibes from a place like this. Drinks are super over priced. 10$ for a tiny plastic cup. Waitress doesn't know what double in a tall glass means. Food was awful, and overpriced. Mushy rice on both entrees, and they didn't even cut the vegetables on top of my poke bowl. The tuna was not tender. We ended up leaving most of the food behind. Save yourself the $$ and go to Grills in Port Canaveral. Paid almost 100$ for no music, crappy food, and 4 small drinks. This is a nice off the side of the road place that may not look like mich from the outside but has a lot to offer on the inside. Our server Jessica was very sweet and accommodating. She made a lot of great suggestions. While my dining companion opted for trying a little bit of everything I decided on 3 Oysters on the half, a bowl of Conch chowder and the Mahi Rueben with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes. We had a nice view if the inlet and had the joy of seeing a dolphin playing while waiting for our appetizer. The oysters would good, nothing special just gas oysters but the chowder... My friend ordered it first and let me sample it. After that I had to order a cup for myself. It was a mild red sauce, just a hint of spice filled with seafood goodness. It just hit the spot. Then after a bit my rueben was brought out. Jessica suggested I get it blackened, since that us how she loves it and so I went with her suggestion and I am so glad I did. It was perfectly seasoned. The fish was flaky and that combined with all the other yummy flavors of a rueben were delicious. When she approached us to ask if we would like dessert, we were both to full to endulge, but next time I will save room for sure. read more

First time eating here. Will not be going back. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (all under 6). The sever (can't remember his name) took our drink order and when he came back I asked to order an appetizer. He huffed like he was super annoyed that I was asking for something. The app was ok. It was the smoked fish dip with crackers. We placed our order. Two kids did not have their own meal and instead ate off my plate and my wife's. The stuffed flounder was good. All the food came out hot and. Overall, not bad food. The server never came back to check on us even though we needed drink refills. I could see him taking care of tables with smaller parties all around us, but didn't pay any attention to us. I finally flagged him down to get our checks. The checks were split and mine was $110 for 3 meals, the appetizer, and waters. I noticed there was an 18% gratuity added, which was due to the "large" party over 6. This added gratuity was not listed anywhere on their menu or other signage, so it caught me off guard. There was also a $2.50 surcharge added to help "pay the cooks a living wage" according to the manager. The overall experience was not great. Nice view of the water. Terrible service.
