I ended up turning the work down, because for the amount that he was asking, it made more sense to just buy a new dishwasher from Costco, which includes installation. Yes I think the quote was very high, but that's not the reason for this 1-star review. The problem is this. He didn't tell me about his $75 service fee until he was at my house and had already looked at the dishwasher (which took all of 3 minutes). I'm perfectly okay with a service fee, but it needs to be explained upfront and not when he is standing in my kitchen with his dirty boots on. I handed him my credit card, and a moment later I see on his credit card machine that he is charging me $95. I questioned him immediately and he simply denied it, saying he said $95. Later he told me on the phone that he has been charging $95 service charge for the past 5 years. That's not true. Looking through the reviews here, he himself stated (just last year) that he charges $89 service fee, and another reviewer wrote (two years ago) that the service fee was $79. I can't speak to the quality of his work, but this is just too much shenanigans. I do not recommend ABD Appliance.

When I said I was not comfortable with Cash App, they called and were not exactly polite, so when I said "no thank you, we will have to use someone else, since I only use Zelle or Venmo and not Cash App for online payment," they hung up on me. I can't speak to their repair abilities, only that it felt rude and sketchy from the start to not call or notify me of their policy ahead of time. Just be aware, it's Cah App, cash money, or nothing - if they show up at all.

They were on pedestals and needed to be removed, taken up a set of stairs, and converted to a stacking configuration in a tight closet. They were also missing a part and are weird laundry machines (they are compact, run on different power, and have some different hookups because the dryer is ventless). Jake Hess and his partner led the team on both occasions. Jake is professional, efficient, and knowledgeable about installing these appliances. Both installers were careful about the kitchen, used silicone mats to protect the floors, and cleaned up. I had them install the panel doors and handles on the refrigerator. They did a great job getting the refrigerator installed in the cabinet with low ceilings, taking great care and time to not damage the ceiling or cabinets. The appointments were easy to schedule and they were on time for both visits. I would highly recommend them for Wolf and Subzero appliance installations. It's also worth the extra warranty year to have them install the units (vs. having a GC do the installation). You really need a specialist for the SubZero refrigerator. I would not want someone without their knowledge and experience installing an $$ unit.
