Add such a nice time here for my friends birthday dinner. I am a big fan of the location, it's right off of the highway. Parking is valet and easy to get to. The light streaming in from the windows filtered by the sheer curtains was lovely. I really enjoyed the salad here. To this day I'm still talking about the salad. Crisp, light tangy dressing and a hearty portion. The food had great flavor. The yellowtail crudo was surprisingly light and flavorful, and the pasta was spicy, seafood was seasoned well. Added to all this, our server was very kind. I had a hard time choosing my drink and he didn't pressure me at all, even when I had to send one of the drinks back because I didn't like it. I will be coming back, but I've put 4/5 stars because they had certain liquor missing from the bar that should be there imo. No grey goose? Had some family in town from Colorado and brought them to one of our favorite restaurants and they did not disappoint. Colleen at the host stand was so warm and inviting setting the tone for what we knew was going to be an awesome experience and we were right!! What a perfect Christmas Dinner we had! My sweet boss of a man invited our little team and plus ones here for our company dinner, no expense spared. We literally had some of at least half of the menu because I didn't get pics of everything including yellowtail carpacchio, champagne among other dishes and drinks. My bestie came with me and we both agree that this was one of the best meals ever. The ambience, our waiter Richard (he's a captain there) and even the bathroom (on the 1st floor but more are upstairs) were all class. My boss even covered everyone's valet parking and gave us cash gifts before leaving. Our whole entire experience was top tier. The apps and entrees were perfection honestly. I tasted someone's creme brulee, the tiramisu and the chocolate cake were just OK. Every food dish (minus dessert) was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The focaccia bread was light and airy inside and crispy outside, oh my goodness! I'd like to be buried in the focaccia if possible . My biggest pro was our service. Richard knew how to describe the dishes to where it made you want to try something. He also got our orders right so that no one had to ask twice for anything. They even noted where we sat so we were delivered our items accordingly. When I say we had a true dining experience, it would almost be an understatement. My friend and I sat at the bar for a quick and early dinner. We took a few recommendations from the bartender! We started with the gnocco frito, which was delicious, cheesy and light. I haven't been to St Cecilia in years. On a recent visit back to Atlanta, I had to visit it. I had been thinking about it since my move to San Diego and was so glad it did not disappoint. I met some friends on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. Lively and bright the ambiance is great and you know this is the place to be. I remembered the menu as being heavy seafood when it first opened (I may have misremembered) but was happy to see it was heavy in pasta and had a good well rounded menu. The Cesar salad was good, however, the dressing was just a little too acidic for me. It still had good taste.I had the Beef cheek Agnolotti which literally melted in my mouth. The texture was creamy and the portion size just right. You can say that for all the dishes. My dining mates had Lobster Risotto and OCCHI PRIMAVERILI, All were very delicious. I don't need to mention the bread and whip ricotta that greets you at the start of the meal. I am glad I was able to fit this stop into my visit to Atlanta. The food is 5 stars, but I have to take one star away because of the service. At the four top table, we did everything; cocktails, appetizers, salads, entrees, wine, bread and dessert. The White anchovies and octopus were outstanding. Caesar salad was delicious and huge as was the focaccia. The beet salad with humboldt fog cheese was all beets (where is the cheese?). My beef cheeks, his crispy pork, her monkfish and her striped bass are all excellent. It was a busy Friday night 730 reservation. The bar was crowded. It took about 20 minutes to get a cocktail. We had to hold off on food service so we would have time to enjoy our cocktails. I had to prompt our server to get a rundown on the menu; it was our first visit to this establishment. She could be an auctioneer in her spare time. Water service was lacking until brought to the attention of the server. Later as things quieted down service improved immensely . Desserts were consistent with the food, outstanding. We were given an extra desert; perhaps she sensed our small,albeit present frustration with service. Overall, I will come back and likely they will earn that last star. I hope I can bump it up for them. They are a well established institution and here for the long hall. BTW, valet service was also SLOW. First, we didn't know that you had to walk to the garage to find the attendant. Second, there was one person for all the patrons leaving at around 10pm. I rarely give three stars, but our service was just that bad. I think next time we'll just order to go because the food was phenomenal. Catherine our waitress was unreasonably rude. We didn't say anything, but it ruined our 12 year anniversary celebration. The evening started when she accidentally dropped a wineglass three tables away, and glass went flying, literally onto multiple tables, including ours. No big deal, she had no idea how far the glass flew. They sent over a complementary glass of champagne, and when we mentioned that we didn't order it, she was unusually defensive. No one told us that it was sent over or why. Overall, we just felt very rushed. A three course dinner, and we were in and out in under an hour. She cleared our plates before we were done, she took our drinks before they were finished! We had more than half of our sides left, and she took them away. I thought she was taking them to a doggy bag, but no such thing apparently. She brought us dessert menus, but I was done with her. We went elsewhere for dessert. The food was phenomenal. The pasta was fresh and al dente, the octopus was the best ever. Very happy with the mock tails. Halibut wasn't my taste, but my husband liked it. read more

This is my second time dining at St. Cecilia's. The entire staff is very accommodating. The first time I went, the table wasn't ready which was fine (it happens) but the manager offered me a complimentary glass of wine while I waited. Talk about customer service! This time I had a reservation for a table of 4 which turned into 6 and the hostesses with a smile said they would try to accommodate the change and did (thanks to the party of 6 who was late). I was extremely appreciative but book for your party size or call ahead for an increase bc their 4 topper can't accommodate additional chairs. Richard, our server, was attentive to all of our needs. We know restaurants are short staffed right now but once he was able to get to us, he was on top of it for the remainder of the evening. He offered excellent suggestions and we were all pleased with our selections. My friends and I raved about several selections some not pictured in this review. Must haves: -THE bread...OMG it's delicious. One of my fav Italian place in town - from drinks to apps to main courses, both chic and authentic~ Always a great start with a crusty focaccia bread hot from the oven, paired with delicious charcuterie board or just burrata (creamy, might be slightly salty). The pasta dishes are always amazing~~~ they even allow you to get smaller portions so you can try two kinds in one meal (music to the ears of those who love variety!) The Pollo Al Forno is a must. Yeah it's chicken but it's done sooooo well, and the brown butter sauce could go on anything! Lobster Risotto is best I've had, don't miss out on that one either. Went here for a birthday dinner, party of 5, on a Friday night. Reservations required. Business casual attire. Good social distancing practices and a very cheap valet. The lights were low, the music was soft. We ordered a huge variety of things and shared plates. I ordered the So Fresh So Clean cocktail, which was a lovely bourbon sour with a stable foam from the aqua faba. The crudo parts of the meal were very tasty, very fresh, but serving size was tiny, especially for $16+. We got the scallop and sun choke soup which was very heavy and had flavors fighting for the spotlight. The chicken entrée was amazing, as was the buttery sun tile, a fish I hadn't tried before. Squid ink pasta was unique and slightly spicy. The pear toffee cake for dessert was really good, rich, heavy, dark caramel flavors. We were seated at a round booth table which I am not a fan of because the booth is bolted to the ground so you have to sit with your chest right up to the table if you are short. The decor was very appealing but the acoustics needed a bit of work. The service was excellent. Our group drinks a lot of water and the glasses were always full. The arancini al tartufo was excellent definitely have that dish. All the salads that were ordered were also very good and creative. The Cacio pepe was delicious and cooked perfectly. The Bucatini was a little fishy and I felt like it was missing a dimension. The fried flounder was also a winner. Tiramisu was a hit with the proper balance of coffee and mascarpone. Service is impeccable. As it relates to food: Tonno - good starter. Quality fish. Good flavors. Lobster pasta - heavy on the coastal aspect here as the pasta tasted as salty as the ocean.
