I just went there today, May 18, 2024, and there was a big painted sign on the building saying "CLOSED." They were the best little thrift shop! But they closed for Covid and came back on weekends only, and I guess now they're just done. So sad. read more

The thrift store has reopened under new management. It's open 9n Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. It's run by the outreach ministry with the goal to support seniors and anyone in the community who is in need of a little help. Whoever is posting negative comments about this place must of had some unusual experience. I've shopped here for over 15 years and the prices are not high, the customer service is within the standards of a thrift shop and actually some of the senior staff have exemplary manners and go above and beyond. I've scored countless items here over the years and while I cannot really offer a more current review of the establishment I can logically deduce that there hasn't been any paradigm shifts going on behind the scenes that would support such a trashy review from the person below. read more

I heard this thrift store will be PERMANENTLY CLOSING as of September 21, 2019. The school needs the building for a possible study hall for the students. Its very sad because this little thrift shop really helped low-income people in the area with vouchers for free clothing and items. Other charities in the area aren't as convenient nor give out 'freebies' to those in need. If you feel this is not in the best interest of the Parish or the local community, please call, email or write a letter to the School Principal and/or Administration. read more

I love this gem of a thrift shop, I have shopped there for many years, it would break my heart if the shop closed! It is a cash only shop, run by volunteers and parents of St Justin school. Their prices are very reasonable, and they put new stuff out throughout the day! The staff was very friendly, it's a local favorite, I would definitely recommend checking it out! read more

Wish these people had their closed store down for good. Rude, unhelpful staff, ridiculous high prices, and just plain bad energy. This place used to be packed on the weekend and now they are constantly empty. How do I know all this? Because I went to school here and I used to come back here on my own after I left. I have experienced firsthand all the awful changes that have taken place here. Bottom line: they suck now. And hey, there's a Ross across the street competing price wise. Nice little (CASH ONLY!) thrift store. Decent selection for its size, I'm a mid 20's female and i found several cute dresses and nice shoes, so it wasnt all kids stuff etc. Walked out with 2 dresses and a blazer for $12 :) Pros - Nice ladies running it - good pricing and good weekly deals (like 50% off clothing, 50% off homewares). Way better than goodwill. - Decent turnover getting new stuff in. - cute quiet location - Lots of homewares, kitchen stuff, appliances etc - decent amount of clothing but not too much. I would need 10-15 minutes to go thru all the relevant racks for my interests. So you wont get stuck here for hours like goodwill Cons - hours are limited and mornings only mostly - so beware of that. - cash or check only - they don't pick up the phone - its a little hard to find - its behind the church at the back of a parking lot (right side of the school as you face away from homestead road) read more

Meh is right. I've yet to find anything worth purchasing here. Probably because I'm not in the market for women's clothing. Everything in here smacks of truly being other people's discards. There's nothing nice. My impression of staff is that they're quite unprofessional, and I don't like being barked at to move my car because it's going to be recess or whatever. I've passed by on Homestead a few times in recent months and haven't bothered with this place. They're batting 1.000 at being a complete waste of my time. read more

Baby/Infant clothes for just $1????? Vintage Cameras for $40????? Don't mind if I do! I walked out with 8 Carter brand onesies and tops for my baby girl for only $5. That is a steal, seeing as how kid to kid, across the street, would have charged me double or triple that. I love how cute and humble this little thrift store is. You find the oddest and most unique trinkets, such as clothes, vintage furniture, plates, and home decorations. Just come for the fun of it and see what you come across. FYI, they take only cash AND the nearest bathrooms are in the Public Library, which is located on the other side of the fence. read more

A co worker and I went thrift shopping a few weeks ago. I have gone to St. Justin's Church and even Central Park (behind the store) and never knew this place was there. Little gem! I found this cool art on the wall for my living room and a really nice jacket...all for 15 bucks. The other day my daughter needed a Mens's dress coat for her school play so I ran down there during my lunch hour and found a jacket for 5 bucks (that days sale). They have their seasonal items separated and all their household items are in another room. Their hours are ok, usually they close by 4 but it's great to check it out during the weekend. Excellent little thrift store which has dedicated volunteers who will accept and care for your donations. I started giving my family heirlooms to this store a few years ago because Salvation Army and Goodwill tend to manhandle items. This store has a heart. If you tell them that donations are valuable (such as antique dishes), they will carefully handle them and even put them in glass display cases. All donations are truly appreciated and the funds collected go to the children's programs. This is a top notch charity store. read more

I got a 130 dollar jacket for 3 dollars it fits perfect and it was barely even worn. Talk about a great deal. The ladies that work here are super nice and helpful. Although the shoppe is on the small side I was still able to find what I needed. read more

This is grass-roots receiving & giving, at it's best. I've donated a bunch of stuff and, then, gone into the Store & shopped for other needs! Silicon Valley's "inflation" has struck at St. Justins. Increased prices and fewer 1/2 price sales (see the board above the doorway) along with increased clerk attitude has made this thrift store an "avoid". Do they think that because wealthy immigrants and well paid silicon valley workers can afford expensive housing here, that their new prices can easily be applied to their less fortunate customers? I suspect that the wealthy shop at Macy's or Nordstroms and have never heard of St. Justin Thrift Store. What would Jesus say? read more

Love the store, good stuff, reasonable prices, friendly staff, but that does not apply to one individual. I don't know her name but if I were to describe her without disrespectful names, she is the middle aged Caucasian woman with short curly hair and a clear chip on her shoulders. My last visit I purchased a sweater that came out to a couple dollars and a few cents. I forgot to carry change that day and I didn't want to break the rest of my money over a few cents. I kindly asked a fellow customer if she could spare 2 dimes if she had it. As she was searching in her purse the lady who was cashier at the time told me to not bother her customers for change. Rudely she said "I see that you have money in your wallet just use it." This appalled me. First of all where are your customer service skills? I mean at age 40-50 you'd think a person would know a thing or two about how to treat and respect the customers at your establishments? Her attitude was very contagious. I started to get angry but unlike her I was able to be mature enough to talk to her. She started to stutter and get flushed when I surprised her with calm and respectful responses. However, in my head I wanted to go off so bad. I purchased my item thanks to the help of the customer and her two cents, but unfortunately I'm banned forever now. I try to be as self aware of my actions as possible which is rare for someone my age, and I can honestly say I have no idea why I'm banned other than that my presence threatens her gigantic ego. It's sad that there really are people like her in my hometown. Shame on her. Looking at other reviews many other customers have seen the nasty attitude that she carries. Whoever shops here, thrift your heart out. Just don't forget to bring change lol. And if you ever read this lady, it's not too late to change yourself. You need more Jesus and basic human decency than you think you have. Get off that high horse before it gets bad for you. However the universe will deliver it to you. read more
