I'd give the skillet, eggs, biscuits and gravy 2 stars. I would think a breakfast restaurant would use real potatoes in their skillets and not something processed out of the box or freezer. The homemade sausage biscuit gravy is not what you'd expect from a breakfast place either, Denny's is better. But where this place shines is their coffee, pancakes, and maple syrup. Wow 5 stars! Best restaurant in town. Food was excellent and the service was just as good. This place can not compare to other pancake houses in the area...because it is better than the others. Great fall specials...like pumpkin pancakes and French toast, as well as other new takes on classics like a Greek Lemon Soup instead of other places having only Chicken Noodle, or Cream of Chicken. Owner is also there walking around as well as (probably the owner's son) seating patrons which is another good thing I like to see in restaurants. I've been coming here for a long time. Great food.. Last time I was in I was eye balling a corned beef sandwich a man next to me was eating, thinking "my husband would love that. So Saturday I decided I was going there to get some food to bring home cuz the place is always packed & on a 20 min. Wait. I ordered him a Rubin & I got the veggie panini. My husband like his a lot. But let me say I could easily become addicted to that veggie panini. It was fantastic. The breakfast in this place is delicious too. It's my go to place if I have time to wait. Red velvet pancakes are to die for! But I'm only writing this because the service we received by Christina K was amazing. She was so attentive and so caring, she made sure we had refills on our drinks and even though they were slammed from wall to wall she had no sense of urgency for us to leave, I'll definitely be coming back and looking forward to seeing Christina again. read more

Let me start off with...I LOVE THIS PLACE! What I'm not so fond of is the wait time. Stacked is a very small restaurant that serves excellent food. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one who thinks so and the wait for a table can be pretty long. I'm talking people standing outside waiting long. But once you are seated it is well worth it. The wait staff are friendly. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The food is delicious with a nice variety to their menu. From skillets to red velvet pancakes I have not been disappointed once in the service or food served at Stacked. I hope they open another location or expand soon to accommodate all their hungry customers. read more

Awesome! Service was great and food was even better. It was clean and comfortable, all the way to the restrooms. Celebrated my niece's birthday here for breakfast with a very large party. Sarah was our server and SHE IS THE BEST! She accommodated all of us even the babies, it was crowded but she still paid attention to us and was even able to have conversation. I really don't know what the hype is all about. I ordered what I thought was something simple. Poached eggs with bacon and diced potatoes. The eggs were under cooked, the bacon was cold and greasy (it was obvious that it was cooked hours before), and the potatoes were dripping with grease. The pancake special (Snickers) sounded delicious but was overdone. Too much snickers. It tasted like melted snickers covered in pancake batter. Also, the silverware was filthy! This review is for Crestwood location 143rd Cicero.. I know they have only been open for 5 days but if the food does not improve they will not be open very long . First off the 95th street location is awesome ! Decided to give the new place a try and it was an epic fail ! My scrambled eggs were over cooked the pancakes were hard on the outside and not done inside . I then asked for French toast in place of the pancakes and the French toast was cold! Bacon and coffee was the only thing decent . My friend ordered the Iron Man breakfast and he enjoyed it . Spoke to a manager and her excuse was the cooks were getting use to the new equipment . She encouraged us to give them another try ... however upon leaving there was a family behind us with issues with there food as well. I looked at the French toast on their table and it literally had so much powdered sugar piled and the pancakes were like mine doughy!! There was no offer of a discount to return or even at this visit . Will not return to this location. Sticking with 95th Street. read more

We absolutely love stacked!! It's usually pretty busy on the weekends, so you will have to wait for a table. As long as you don't have a huge party, they get you in quick. We have had many different breakfast items and all are very good. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant 5 stars is because the one time we ordered lunch, it wasn't as great as their breakfast. It might be just what we ordered but I regretted not getting breakfast. You really should try this place. It's one of our favorites. read more

Was very upset for the amount of money I paid ($40) for our breakfast. My family are Pancake lovers and they were horrible, they were dry and crumbled. If you put up with the unfair seating practices and waits of an hour or more, the food is delicious. We watched people leave and come back after their name had been called and they were seated ahead of us despite the fact that we never left and waited for our name to be called. Then we watched a couple of friends walk in of the dud who was seating people. Surprise, surprise, they got seated ahead of us. This is the second visit in which the seating was shady. This is my daughter's favorite breakfast spot and she asked us to go with her. The food is very good. I loved my French toast with fresh berries and my husband had the ole skillet which was excellent. The pancakes are very thick - and they taste a little different but make a nice "stacked" presentation. The service was also very good. The Manager Lisa, is very rude and disrespectful. I ordered food over the phone and picked it up, only to discover when i got home that the order was incorrect. I called in requesting to speak with the manager to advise that the order was incorrect and request a partial refund or a new meal. The manager continued to insist that my order was not incorrect and that she would not be providing a refund she then hung up the phone. I called back and was again told I could not receive a refund or a new meal. I went back up to the restaurant to advise that my food was incorrect, brought my receipt and the untouched meal. The manager Lisa put her finger in my face and insisted I leave. She then called the police to have me removed. When the oak lawn police arrived on cop asked what happened asked to see my receipt along with the food untouched. The second cop then spoke with the women and informed her that she did not have to provide a refund or meal replacement and asked us to leave. If was a white woman who requested a new meal or refund i would have received just that and not the police being called on me for no reason. I was not provided a credit for the meal that was incorrect or a new meal. But instead received rude customer service, a finger in my face, and an incorrect meal. Out of a $75 bill i only needed a $10 portion of it corrected. I do not recommend this restaurant. The customer service is beyond ridiculous and I will never be spending money there again. read more
