    DENVER OMELETTE

The place is packed when I drove up on Saturday morning. Place was busy. I was seated quickly out on the patio. Ordered and food came out quick and I was out quickly. Buttery fluff pancakes, good crunch on the hashbrowns on the outside, cheesy Denver omelette. Good for family & big groups. A bit taken back that my bill was $30 for just an average experience for one person.

We were seated pretty quickly, especially since we had already joined the waitlist online. I think we may have gotten overlooked in their system, but once we let the staff know, they had us head to the front and got everything sorted out. Even though the restaurant was really busy, the service was still friendly and attentive. The food was excellent! I especially loved the stuffed French toast it was delicious. The eggs were fluffy, the sausage was flavorful, and the hash browns were crispy and tasty. The kids' menu was adorable, and the Mickey Mouse pancakes were such a cute touch. The freshly squeezed orange juice was also a nice touch, especially since it had little to no pulp. The portion sizes were generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. The restaurant was clean. Overall, we'd definitely come back for another breakfast!

We've been coming here since it was known as Flappy Jack's and was content to see that although it's under new management that the menu/atmosphere stayed the same. The food is decent for the price. I normally like to get the Cesar salad wrap but my favorite thing has to be the pasta salad! It's super delicious!

We came to EAT! We had the protein omelet, stacks special, stuffed French toast, and the add a side of eggs and sausage and we were SO stuffed! Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were very kind. It is definitely a diner-style restaurant, casual. The women's restroom honestly smelled like someone smoked in a port-a-potty, but it was clean. Stop by and enjoy!

This is my second time here! I came the first time back when it was Flappyjacks and I've been wanting to come back to see if it was still the same. I ordered the breakfast wrap and my friend ordered the classic Benedict and they were both so good! Definitely huge proportions and we could not finish our meals at all lol so bear that in mind. However, I really wanted to try something sweet and the customers across from us ordered the banana nut pancakes that looked DELICIOUS. I definitely want to come back for those. Our service was amazing! Our server was so sweet and was on top of everything. She made sure we had enough water and coffee and made sure our food was great. It's definitely refreshing having someone who is kind and patient. We came on a Sunday so of course it was busy! It was cool though because we got at right away since we opted to sit whatever was available first. I definitely want to come back!!

Late post! 5 stars because they accommodated my husband's request. LOOK FOR YOSI AND ORDER JERMAINE'S PINEAPPLE PANCAKES OR SHOW THIS PICTURE. IT'S NOT ON THE MENU BUT IT'S REALLY GOOD. NOT TOO SWEET, FLAVORFUL! I dont know how this happened but apparently, my husband and Yosi (one of the workers in Stacks) came up with this one of a kind pancake. It was super good! I dont even like pancakes nor pineapple. STACKS, GET THIS ON THE MENU! My husband and I cannot cook so this was awesome! 5 stars because they accommodated my husband and it seemed like everyone had a great time accommodating his request. We also had the 20pcs wings. Everyone loved the lemon pepper the best. We had their XXL ribs, it was dry.. but not taking off a star coz again, of hubby's pancake creation The clam chowder was good enough :) Anyway, all in all, we would go back just to order jermaine's pineapple pancakes . Thank u soooo much Yosi, thank u also to our server I forgot his name :( you were so awesome! Thanks everyone!

Stacks on Route 66 peaked my interest due to the quantity of reviews. My server Michelle was quick and prompt. She definitely checked in multiple times! I wasn't looking for an omelette for breakfast and this place delivered. Santa Fe Chicken. $18.99. Super filling and the portions are enormous. I ordered French fries and Pasta Salad. It also came with a hearty cup of French Onion Soup. Exactly what I wanted this morning. Thank you.

Beyond delicious, huge portion breakfast and brunch plates! Efficient, kind customer service. Hot coffee is consistently filled. Minus 1 star because they charge $1.70 for the waffle's whipped cream when it should be included as part of the dish's price.

Adding more photos to my previous review. For some strange reason the photos did not load up on the first try. As the saying goes "A picture is worth a thousand words". I want you to see the mouth watering delicious food I had.

Stacks On Route 66 is the perfect spot for breakfast... even better when it's breakfast for dinner! We came in recently and everything from the food to the service was great. German Pancake with Fresh Berries...This was the showstopper!!! The pancake comes out beautifully puffed with crispy golden edges and is filled with fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and powdered sugar. Light, buttery, crunchy on the outside and packed with flavor. It's also a fun one to share at the table. Mediterranean Omelette, this is my go to here lol...delish!!! Fluffy eggs with great Mediterranean flavors and served with hash browns that were cooked just right. A really satisfying savory option to balance out the sweet dishes. Kids Mickey Pancake...Always a hit with the kids! Topped with whipped cream, chocolate chips, and strawberries, it's cute and delicious. My son's fave always! (Ours too ha!) Service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming we went for dinner. Another bonus: they're now open later in the week for dinner, which makes those breakfast cravings at night totally possible. Because let's be honest... who doesn't love breakfast for dinner every now and then? I know we do!!! Stacks continues to be a great neighborhood spot for comforting breakfast classics and generous portions.

I will never eat here again. We use to eat here years ago when it was Flappyjacks. And let me tell you, it has gone down the toilet! The service was absolutely terrible! It was so slow. It was a weekday at about 1130 and it took them forever to bring us our water and beverages, to take our order and to bring our food. We never got refills either. We also noticed a lot of other tables were having problems with their orders or were missing something... it was not just us being picky pants.. Flappyjacks lets you sub a pancake on your omelette or skillet order for an extra charge, these guys don't. So we got banana nut pancakes and got bacon and eggs on the side for an extra $5! If you wanted a side of hashbrowns that was gonna be an extra $7!! I'm not one to ever complain about my food, but my banana but pancakes were raw... so we had to send them back.. it took quite awhile for them to bring the pancakes back out.. we should've just told him to cancel the order altogether... when they brought us our bill the guy told us "oh I discounted it 10% for your inconvenience" .. WOW. Not that was I was expecting anything but %10?! They didn't bring us syrup... We had to look for it on another table... They didn't ask us if we needed ketchup or hot sauce... We had to look for it on another table... And like I mentioned before earlier in my review, other people were having to do the same thing it was ridiculous, we should've went to eat at Denny's or at IHOP!!! Don't waste your money!

Great food and huge portions. Formerly called Flappy Jack's. The restaurant gets crowded for breakfast and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The wait time was about 30mins for a party of 3. Parking lot gets full as it is small but there is street parking also. Have been here when it was Flappy Jack's and the food and service has always been good.

TEXAS SKILLET (Medium rare steak with onions, mushrooms, no bell peppers, and hash browns topped with eggs scrambled easy) + pancakes.

Stacks on Route 66 was very lively! It was busy for lunch yet we were able to get a booth inside in a few minutes on a Saturday at noon. All the servers were very attentive and joyful! I truly appreciated that our coffee mugs and water cups never reached empty. The food was delicious and they gave very generous/hearty portions! Add Stacks to your list to visit when in Glendora!!

Ask the Community - Stacks On Route 66

Take reservations for up 14 people?

Not sure about reservations but they can def accommodate 14. Saturdays and Sunday mornings are their busiest so I'd recommend going early before the crowd arrives.

Do they offer gluten free options?

    yes :)

Any breakfast specials or happy hour?

    Do you have waffles?

Yes, they have waffles on their menu.

Update: Thanks for the replies. I looked in their app and online before posting question. 1 pancake is listed under side orders. Are pancakes no longer served as a breakfast?…

Yes they serve many types of pancakes. You can order one as a side to any other meal.

    Do they have sourdough pancakes?

No sourdough, but lots of other great pancakes!

How is the parking? easy access for seniors?

Lots of parking all around the building as well as some parking spots you need the DMV permit.

Do they still have gluten free pancakes?

We have gluten free pancakes and they taste amazing 💞

Why did they change their name?

New Owners and not very friendly or welcoming!

    Is there outside seating?

    Yes

Does the entire party need to be there before they will seat you?

Can they text you when your table is ready?

    Yes

Probably a 20-30 minute wait but times vary and yes they do have high chairs available.

No, they are not checking if you are vaccinated or not

    Are there vegan options?

The restaurant is clean, modern, and has vibrant colors when you enter. The customer service was friendly, professional, and efficient. I ordered the Pumpkin Pie Crepe and the Turkish Coffee to go along with it. There was a little bit of a wait, but I didn't mind since there was only one person working. The Pumpkin Pie Crepe tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie, as expected. However, it wasn't too sweet and had more of a real pumpkin flavor that pair very nicely with the pecans and caramel drizzle. The crepe was cooked perfectly and held together nicely with all the other ingredients. The portion size was large and could be shared between two people. It didn't exactly blow me away, but I appreciated the fact that it tasted like I was eating a pumpkin pie without the over sweetness. The Turkish Coffee was okay in my opinion, but it could be because I'm not used to it. Creamer and sugar packets are provided. The coffee alone was very bold and almost had a burnt taste, but not in a bad way; bringing out the flavor of the coffee beans more. I think if flavors of the coffee were offered then it would definitely be a favorite. My partner tried the frozen yogurt and she enjoyed it very much. The serving size was large as well, enough for two-three people. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. To my knowledge, no military nor first responder discount offered.

It was only a 2 minute walk from where we were so we decided to check it out. On the outside was a holiday themed drink menu and the Butter Me Up sounded like something we'd enjoy. It was a cookie butter latte which whipped cookie butter and a cookie crumble on top. It may sound very sweet but it was actually perfectly balanced and allowed the strength of the espresso to come through. The barista was very kind and patient with us. She also let us know that they were hosting a karaoke night later that day. We waited in the patio connected to the cafe for our drinks. Today, my friend and I ordered a Coke and an ice water and sat in the lounge area to work on assignments. The café was far from full, with only a couple of other people in the lounge and plenty of open seating available. After about an hour, the owner came over and rudely told us we were "holding two tables over a Coke" and pressured us to order more. I understand businesses need customers to make purchases, but there is a respectful way to communicate that. What made the situation worse was that after I ordered a coffee, she immediately turned to my friend and basically stared him down with a strict look, clearly expecting him to order something too. I explained that we were going to split the coffee, because we're both trying to lose weight, but she continued making the situation uncomfortable. Staring down a customer and making them feel pressured to spend more money is not how you treat paying customers. What makes this even more frustrating is that the menu is already severely overpriced for what is offered. On multiple occasions, I've heard the microwave running while food was being prepared. Paying premium prices for what appears to be microwaved food is disappointing enough without being pressured to spend even more. Even though we only ordered a Coke initially, and have only done that once before, we were still spending money. As regular customers who come here often, you would think that would be appreciated rather than criticized. Be thankful people are still choosing to spend money at your business. Honestly, after today's experience, it's no wonder this place is often empty. Customer service and hospitality matter, and making customers feel unwelcome, guilty, or pressured to spend more is a great way to drive them away. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that I asked for my food to be packed to go and left. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. It's a cafe, not a 5 star restaurant. People want to come here to work on assignments or have a coffee and talk. Even though I didn't want to spend 9 dollars on a coffee, I still purchased something. Edit from her Google response: Now you guys see what type of owner she is by her response. Truly, truly a fake person, and we always spend money coming here (now she wants to lie and manipulate since I have her attention). I always purchase a coffee and more, and I have receipts to prove it. I do not use her WiFi for free, as I am not a rude person unlike her. I don't just order a soda like this owner claims; see my receipts on my credit card. My friend and I ordered drinks and were talking and doing assignments for about half an hour (while she and her waiter came up to us like 10 times to ask us to order, even though this is a cafe), even though we said we would order later. If you're broke, just say so, lady. Trust me, at this rate, this place will close down soon. Like I said, this is a cafe where people come to have a drink, relax, talk, study, or work on assignments; not a restaurant where customers are expected to order a full meal every time they sit down. We purchased drinks, planned to order more later, and were still repeatedly approached and pressured to order. Please do yourself a favor and stop lying to the public. I did not come here four times and just use the WiFi. I paid for the WiFi with my extremely expensive and disgusting coffee and food, which is shown below in the receipts. I did not buy $2 sodas every time. The receipts I attached are from my card, but on many of the other visits my friend paid with his card and spent just as much. So trying to claim that we were sitting here for free or only ordering a soda is simply not true. Now that I have proved you wrong in front of the public, I hope everyone sees you for who you are. You are a money-hungry liar! Lastly, you are right; you're not Starbucks. Starbucks would not treat customers that way, and I'd much rather spend my money at Starbucks anyway.Glad we're on the same page!

I've been meaning to try their crepes for the longest time and luckily, I finally found the chance to dine in. I ordered the La Opera breakfast crepe, which came filled with eggs, cheese, onions, and avocado. It had the perfect balance of textures and flavors, with the thin crispy edged crepe cradling the savory filling. Ambiance cute (inside) and the weather was beautiful outdoors.

Hands down the best crepes I've ever had in my life!! I don't even want to eat crepes from other…read moreplaces anymore because this is my favorite spot. Any of the T-Swirls actually are worth going to, I wish there was one in the Bay Area. I may be hyping it up because I personally like it so much. Ordering is easy, there are two kiosks and then you get your crepe within 5 minutes. I always order the Matcha Chocolate Truffles crepe. My boyfriend and family members have ordered other ones. Everyone generally likes the crepes they ordered. I like how the crepe is super crispy and the ingredients in it is like a party in my mouth. I have yet to try a crepe like the Matcha Chocolate Truffles! Can't wait to come back during my next SoCal trip.

Cute little spot in city of industry! It's all order on touch screen , while the staff make them. There is no bad combo whichever one you get I'm sure you'll love! They are so tasty! I recommend Nutella filled, strawberry, blueberry, add chocolate pearls (: Vanilla gelato! Bomb! We love this place(: Parking lot is always crowded so just be prepared lol

We'd normally get Somi Somi for a sweet treat but wanted to give this spot a try. The line does move somewhat slow but omg the crepes are so worth it! Since our first visit, we have returned a few times. I love getting their Tiramisu and Matcha flavored custard crepe. I love that each other crepe flavor I've tried, none are ever overly sweet, and each is made with care! There's a mix match approach to how you want your dessert built but I normally order mine as it's listed on the menu for their classics. My father in law hates spending anything more than a couple bucks for a sweet treat, but happily makes the exception for Milet crepe and I 100% understand why. Theres not always a line, but if you see one formed at your time of visit don't get discouraged the reward is very delicious/unique. Can't wait to be back:)
