I'm not typically this spontaneous when it comes to pancakes. Let me tell you that it was very good and not too sweet. I did order a side salad With my eggs. Yess salad! I love salad with all my meals. The salads ranch was to die for I would really love for them to sell this ranch. I'm very picky when it comes to coffee and this coffee hit the spot! It was amazing and extra hot just like me. Siara with the long braids was very attentive. She definitely knows how to check up on a table. Shes not pretentious, her actions speak louder than words. Give her a raise! All the staff was working as a team. Whoever is training them hats off to you! The only thing I noticed was the garden salad being $9.99 which I thought was a bit high for a side salad. I would say Maybe $7.99 just because it has cucumbers is more of an appropriate price. They go a decently big parking lot but this place is bussin on the weekend so parking filled up quick. I've come here quite a bit and just love the huge portions and their zucchini fries. I've come here on weekdays and weekends, from right when they open to towards the end of their business hours and it's always super busy and there's always a wait, which just attests to how good and popular this place is. No matter how slammed this place is, the staff is always nice and never seems stressed out and food always comes out in a timely manner. It's going to be loud inside, there's going to be a lot going on, but that's just because this place is in such high demand. Great Old School Coffee Shop! I had the banana walnut waffle combo. It was so good I didn't even use the fresh maple syrup. The eggs, hash browns and coffee was good too. Every table around us who got seated before us got their food before us. My husband and I came back after the change. First impression of this staff was not a very positive one. We Walked in and we weren't greeted at all we saw that the young ladies at the front were engaged in a conversation of their own so we sort of stood their for a little. It was a bit awkward. The plus side, we were seated right away The restaurant has good ambiance, a lot of seating, looks to have plenty of staff. The menu still has a variety of good food options. Light plate options, no meat options, substitute items, etc. The Coffee was hot which I LOVE but not the best tasting. The food took a little time to get to us. We must've had like 4 coffee refills before the food got there. The portions were generous. French toast was dry in my opinion too dark so not the best on this occasion. The ham steak plate was good. I'm glad flappy Jack's AKA Stacks On Route 66 still exist. It has been years since I came to flappy jacks, but today I wanted to take out the family for breakfast and I wanted to go to a place with many food options but yet great food. For some reason I can't remember why I stop going. I used to be a regular I would go almost every weekend back when It was called flappy Jack's. I knew there would be a waiting time I was just hoping it wasn't going to be long. Luckily when we arrive, there was a couple of people waiting outside but when we checked in our hostess told us it was about 10 to 15 minutes wait which was not bad. You will never find this place empty or lonely. There's always large crowds of family enjoying breakfast or lunch here. We were sat down pretty quickly. Our server came and took our drink orders. Unfortunately it took him 20 minutes to come back and take our order. I handed him down and asked if we could place our order. He apologized and said that he was sorry. I understand there was a lot of people and he was attending a lot of tables. but after that he gave us great service. We ordered a couple different items from the menu. I'll just say everything was amazing. Every single item was cooked perfectly great flavor great texture just amazing. I notice every plate had large portions, which is much appreciated , and the prices are fairly good. We order plenty of food and even extra sides and our bill came to $100. They have a huge selection of breakfast items, from your typical Bacons and eggs (all accompanied by homemade hash brown), delicious breakfast Skillets (recommend the Country Skillet), omelettes ( recommend the El Paso omelet) and of course, a huge selection of pancakes (banana Nut were delicious), waffles, & crepes. You honestly can't go wrong. There is often a long wait as it's a pretty popular breakfast spot but the staff is always very nice and they do their best to get you seated and served as soon as possible. Really great breakfast! The wait was around 35 minutes, I've heard it can be longer. Our server was great. Portions are very large! The waffles are very very delicious, chewy, and light! I made the waffle into a combo with my choice of hash browns and scrambled eggs. I'm very impressed with my scrambled eggs, it was made perfectly and not over cooked and dry! The stuffed French toast order comes with 4 very large longs stuffed with delicious cheese! We also tried the corned hash, and a side of gravy. I've the corn hash a 3.5 star. And my German pancake actually tasted better at home than fresh when they served it. I ate the eggs first so they wouldn't get cold but then the pancake was cold probably because I ordered the one wrapped around fruit and the fruit was cold. At home I reheated it in a pan with real butter and ate it piping hot with real maple syrup, not whatever it is they served there on the table and it really improved my enjoyment of it at home. But this was my first and Iast time going there due to the cost. Breakfast for one person shouldn't come out to $35. The only other thing I ordered was coffee which was overpriced too. read more

First time at this restaurant, my hubby wanted us to come really early but due to some errands we pretty much had brunch. When we arrived there was a lot of people there, we had to check in and waiting about 15 minutes to get seated. The waitress for our drinks approached us as soon as we sat down. We had to ask the server for a drink about 3 different times. I understood he was busy but if there was anything I can change from this would be the wait time. The food was delicious, I will definitely be coming back. I really did enjoy the food, the restaurant itself was very nice and cozy. Very authentic and perfect for families, parties, or brunch with friends. They do close early therefore come early. They DIDN'T even give us the whole order. And many of the good reviews are friends of the employees. I would love a manager but preferably above that (because clearly management isn't doing what they need to) to reach out to me. The service from start to finish was horrible. And it was a long drive. We drove 40 min for a pick up order. They were rude on the phone then made a rude comment on pick up. Making it very uncomfortable. Then they didn't include the items that made my order my order. I got charged full price but they didn't include the whole reason I went there. They also missed the side items. That comes with the omlet and skillets. I would give 0 starts if I could. I could have went to IHOP and spent less and not have spent the time and gas. And the quality of the food wasn't even edible. Couldn't butter the plain pancakes because they fell apart. I couldn't even life the top one to get to the bottom one because it crumbled. Bland and fly infested Stacks!!! So we finally tried out Stacks in Glendora. The wait was only 10min on a Saturday. We sat in a booth which was nice. Good wait staff overall. The food well..... very basic and bland overall. I hand the buttermilk pancakes with hash browns and eggs. The bigger issue was all the flies and nat bugs. This place is SO YUMMY. I've been coming here for years and it's honestly never disappointed! I've tried many things but my favorite are the texas skillet and the french toast. SO GOOD!! The servers and host are very kind and quickly take care of you. They're always refilling coffee mugs and are on the lookout despite how busy the place gets. I come early around 7:30am to dine at a much slower time (still busy) since around 9-10 it gets packed.
