The staff was very friendly and my order was prepared rather quickly. I order the brown sugar shaken espresso with cold foam and cinnamon on top, it was delicious, would definitely order again. I also order the bagel supreme breakfast sandwich, I would give this a 5/10. I think the eggs are already prepped and not made fresh, the bagel was soft, the bacon was yummy, but the sandwich needed a bit of salt (personal preference). What threw me off was that as I was eating the second half of my sandwich I noticed there was an area of the egg that looked grey and had a weird texture (almost hard?), I ended up having to throw away the rest of the sandwich. read more

All the nice yelp reviews caught my eyes, and I decided to come by for some breakfast and coffee! This coffee shop located in a medical building, which is great as staff and patients came come by to pick up some food when they are hungry. There were 2 table inside the store, and a few tables at the lobby of the building. Parking lot is available outside of the building. I ordered breakfast burrito, deluxe croissant, caramel macchiato, and white mocha. The coffee was not strong in general, I like the white mocha better than the caramel macchiato. We got the caramel macchiato in iced, so it was watered down as we were having breakfast. The croissant and burrito needed more seasoning. The salsa that comes with the burrito does not tasted very different than any salsa I have ever had, and it was not my preference. Its location shares a small room of the Sunset Medical Plaza Building. Expect an "order and go" experience. LA Social Cafe (West Covina) contains two tiny tables inside and four little tables outside in the hall. Despite the disadvantage of being a tiny location, LA Social Cafe (West Covina) is decorated beautifully and tastefully. I enjoyed the artwork on the walls, and its colors were comfortable yet modern. The music is also upbeat and calming; I listened to its country music (song: Can You Die From a Broken Heart?) as I happily enjoyed my beverage. I finally stopped in to try LA Social. Its a small cafe located in the Queen of the Valley hospital block area. Very inviting cafe with fun artwork and great music! Seating inside is limited but more is available in the attached office breezeway. The friendly owner took my order as soon as i walked in. Upon looking at the location it's small and outside a medical building, not typically something I would choose, however, the outside is so cute and festive. Immediately when I walked in, the smell of all the food takes over and it made me hungry just looking at the menu. The staff was super nice and sweet. You can add potatoes to the burrito, but it's great without, too. Also tried the horchata latte (hot), which was both pretty and yummy. I was greeted immediately by a gentleman and he was super friendly. I let him know it was my first time in and he gave me a couple recommendations for something to eat and to drink. I ended up getting the bacon and egg croissant and the Horchata latte. The bacon and egg croissant came with a salsa that tasted homemade and it was AMAZING! The Horchata latte was iced. I think next time I will go with something a little bit less sweet. But it was very good if a sweet drink is something that you are into. Some extra information about this location is they have seating inside but they also have seating outside in the lobby and they also have an outlet to plug-in. Went here on a Monday morning around 9 am. We got lucky there was no line. The employees greeted us the moment we walked in. They took our order and everything was ready pretty quickly. I ordered an iced latte with 3 shots of espresso, oat milk and sugar free hazelnut. It was really good and I didn't experience a caffeine crash so that was a huge plus! Found this little gem in West Co right in between QOV and Torrey Pines Apts. I am all about supporting small business so I had to try out this cafe plus it was close by California Street Hockey rink. You can call in for take out or even use their website to place to your order, 10% for online order! The munu has good selection from simple breakfast meal or sandwichs and have a decent selection on drinks including smoothie. I had a big order which I got avocado toast, nutella and banana waffles, chicken sandwich with sourdough bread, a turkey avocado sandwich, banana & strawberry smoothie, cold carmel macchiato latte with almond milk ($0.99 extra), and Thai ice tea. Everything was fresh, filled with right amount of ingredients meaning the meats (chicken and the turkey meats) and delicious both sandwiches came with chips. FIRST TIMER. Solo trip. I wanted breakfast and coffee and found this place while searching on Yelp. I saw all the great reviews - thank you fellow yelpers! This place is located in a business building (AbleCare Services & Maxson Pharmacy Inc. - at the very bottom corner of the building on S Sunset Ave. - it's adjacent to the Emanate Health Queen of the Valley Hospital parking area). If you see the dolphins statue, just know it's right in front of that. The parking situation- this place has a private lot but it gets full so you may have to park far & walk a bit if you don't find parking right in front on sunset street. I came in on a Friday morning. Inside - this place definitely is cute and cozy. It looks like it gets busy too. There were about 4-5 people already there either enjoying their coffee and breakfast or waiting on their order. I looked over the menu online before I came and also reviewed it in person and I kind of had an idea of what I wanted and ultimately decided on the horchata latte $5.49 & the Egg Delux Croissant $8.49 = $15.31 with the 15% tip I added it was a grant total of $17.61. I had to! The lovely woman behind the counter was super kind and helpful! I decided to eat it there and it was so nice ! There are people walking in and out around the big tables with 4 chairs because they're there for their health needs - it's felt like I was sitting outside but inside because of that foot traffic. There were a lot of solo people of all ages coming in and out as well as sitting down to enjoy their coffee and breakfast which was nice to see & know I wasn't the only solo one. I noticed a lot of people placing big orders with 2-4 trays of breakfast and 2-4 coffees which tells me many people are enjoying their coffee/ breakfast. I got my sandwich right away - well ... within 5 minutes of me ordering it. It was soooo good ! As I finished half of my sandwich I was looking out of my iced coffee but it was never called. So I decided to get up and sit near the register once the smaller tables opened up. I got a small box to go for my sandwich because I was getting full and didn't want to over do it. As I looked around where the orders are being made, I noticed no iced horchata latte still and the people that came after me were getting their coffee order. I then decided to line up to ask about it (because there was a customer ordering) and once it was my turn I let the woman behind the counter know I had not received my coffee yet and was about to ask about it but then she immediately apologized and started to make it for me. So I sat down and waited. I got my iced coffee within 2-3 minutes. I had to take it to my car and enjoy it on the way home. I was pretty sad and disappointed that I didn't get it before so I could enjoy it with my breakfast sandwich but it's okay. It happens. We arrived a little after if opened and there were already many people ahead of us! We tried the chocolate strawberry banana waffle as well as their egg deluxe croissant. They were fairly priced! They were both delicious though I wish I had asked them for a crispier waffle. Their service was just as expected for a small cafe making everything to order. We waited about 10-15 minutes. Called to place orders for company lunch. Spoke to Eddie the week prior but Kat was the one who helped me with the orders. First off, both Eddie and Kat were super friendly on the phone. There were 16 orders and they were able to write individual names on each lunch box. We all chose different sandwiches and different flavors of cookies. After writing everything down she was able to repeat it all back to me without any mistakes. Added 7 orders of the Asian chicken salad and they were able to pool the orders in a big container. I especially like the fact that they separated the chicken (we have one person who is allergic to chicken) and the vinaigrette sauce was also separated. And when the food came and we each looked for our name on the box, there was no mistakes as well. I was impressed! I had the chicken salad sandwich and tried the turkey avocado sandwich. I preferred the chicken salad sandwich because the turkey meat was drier than the chicken. The oatmeal raisin cookie was delicious as well! Pricing wise this is one of the cheapest spot in the SGV.
