The is the place to go for the diner breakfast experience. If you like a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns etc, then you will be happy here. There is lots of memorabilia on the walls, and lots of booth seating. The place is bright with windows that let the natural light inside, which I am a big fan of. I have noticed that these kind of places are slowly dying in the area which is a real shame. We do love our traditional breakfast spots, but I do suggest you don't order what I did, and get the Eggs Benedict. That was disappointing, but I wasn't really expecting them to surprise me here. It's a diner, and I have yet to have a diner do Eggs Benedict right. I am guessing canned Hollandaise sauce here, but I was just not in the mood for eggs and bacon that day, so I gave it a shot. The servers were on top of their game with the coffee refills and knowing which items were available and which weren't. The food was ready fast and everyone was happy with the food (of course except me), which gave us time to eat and catch up on our gossip and football picks. I noticed that they have a take-out area, and thought that would be cool to grab some grub before heading over the the Stadium . It's one of those places that have been around forever and a day. They know their customers, and remember what you order. You always get a smile as you enter or leave. So why the 3 stars? The food is just okay, nice selection; and they have Greek food which I always love, but it's all just okay. I was in the mood for breakfast and I decided to check out Stadium Diner. The food was pretty good. I had 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausages, and 2 pancakes. The pancakes were good but they could have been a little lighter for me. The eggs, bacon and sausage were great. The staff was very friendly. The service here was quick and the food was filling. I was seated as soon as I walked in and given water right away as the waitress waited for me to make a drink selection. The food arrived about 3-5 minutes after I ordered. I ordered a simple egg and toast sandwich and grits. The grits weren't as seasoned as I'd like but not so bad that I'd send them back. Loved this place! Very friendly staff and food was perfect diner style breakfast! Had to try the biscuits and gravy which did not disappoint and also was craving for a Belgian waffle which was perfect :) crispy on the outside and fluffy chewy inside. This place is an old school diner. It feels old school and the menu is old school. Hell, the specials are hand written on paper with pen. This is standard diner food (burgers, sandwiches, etc). There is also some Greek food and some Italian food on the menu. I ultimately had the Caribbean chicken breast sandwich with the potato salad on the side. The sandwich, while simple, was tasty and properly prepared. The potato salad was great and I would strongly encourage you to get it if you come here. It was tangy and nicely textured. When i go to a diner for breakfast the pass/fail grade with me usually comes with the quality of the home fries/potatoes. Stadium diner made the grade ,Even though it feels like you stepped into a time machine and landed in 1980's Dolphin-mania Miami its a place I would go again even though it is Really out of the way (and all of the UM logos kind of repulse me...sorry not a fan of the U). The portions are really large so you will be satisfied and the service level is great.Plus the cookies that are out on the counter smell great and almost tempted me to buy a few. read more

I left my car for service, and decided to find somewhere to have breakfast. Found this place while walking to find a Starbucks or Einstein Bros (I doubt this neighborhood has neither one). Anyway, I recommend this place if you are looking for good old fashion taste breakfast from the South, very genuine and the waitress was very nice. I do have to say, the looks of it from the outside i would have never walked in. However, i couldn't find anything else other than McDonald's or Pollo Tropical. A stick-to-your-ribs breakfast. $7.49 -- plus another $2-plus for the coffee. Close to $10 -- you can get as good or better a breakfast in Little Havana for less, but this worked for me. I had a turkey club and it was a pathetic sandwich. The tomatoes were cut to thick for the sandwich, the mayo was not placed in the sandwich, and the tiles was extremely dry. They are too old school and need to get with the times. This place also needs to understand what seasoning is. Never eating from that place again. read more

Hello all. I am a born and breed Miami girl and all the years of living here I never ever considered going into this ghost like place. Like others mentioned I could never distunguish if the restaurant was closed or not. But early this week a co-worker/friend offered a place we could go to have lunch and to my surprise it was the "Stadium Diner". I was very apprehensive but I agreed. When I walked in the smell and decor through me for a loop and I was ready to reconsider, but with the friendly welcome and speedy service got me. We ordered sweet potatoe fries, chicken parmigiana sandwich and catfish nuggets. Everything was awesome and fresh but the catfish according to my friend was alright. The server was very attentive and engaged in casual conversation with us. The experience got a little weird when the owner/manager started talking to another waitress like she was a two year old and criticized her on her glass cleaning skills. Then sprayed the booth right next to us with Windex in order to demonstrate how it should have been done. Seemed inappropiate and childish. Last but not least the method of payment is old school. So if you are in a hurry to pay you better have a extra 5-10 minutes to spare before your actual departure. Happy Dining! read more

I was very disappointed this morning, I was asked by the owner to leave - She said baby strollers are not allowed in the diner. She gave many different reasons from - it was a hazard - she had complaints from the health dept- it is the law, to the wheels were too big.??? Evidently her waitress was not aware of this new rule, because she seated up. She took us to the back where no other customer's were sitting, & there was enough room to accommodate the stroller. My baby is under one year old & there is no way I would put her in the high chairs that they provide, for obvious reasons. I had no alternative but to leave.
