I wish zero stars was an option! Very poor first impression! With a "Trust Dale" local recommendation and after seeing several SS visits to our condo community, I scheduled an appointment. When the technicians arrived and began work, their machinery malfunctioned, spilling many gallons of water onto our carpets. SS rescheduled the cleaning for 2 days later and offered a 5% discount ($37.50) for our inconvenience. After the techs left, it took me nearly and hour and 15 bath towels to soak up the excess water from the floor, and more than a day for the carpet to dry completely. I called to say I thought the 5% discount was short of the mark for this terrible first experience. The customer service rep "spoke with her supervisor" who offered a $50 discount. I suggested 10% ($75) was nearer the appropriate amount. After yet another supervisor conference, I was told $50 was the max, take it or leave it. So, I left it and cancelled the rescheduled appointment. End result? SS lost a potential long-term customer over $25. It does make one wonder about their business acumen! I used Stanly Steemer because I needed my grout cleaned along with my carpet. Two gentlemen showed up at my house, one of which did a great job and the other one was smoking marijuana. So the crap they say about being drug test and clean is not true!!!. I had to make a phone call and was told he would be picked up. I was assured I would be given a discount, which never happened UNTIL I called them back and was offered a $50.00 refund. I then received another call and was offered 1/2 my money back. Was an awful experience I have a 3 bedroom apt. and to do the whole apt would have been like 500 bucks when I did the online quote it was only 168. So I got my living room (living room counted as two rooms)done hallway and daughters room for 270. Than they left a stain in the middle of my living room floor and said sorry ma'am we don't guarantee stain removal. I said it wasn't there when you got here. Do not use Stanley Steemer to clean anything in your home. The Stanley Steemer for 30324 in Atlanta is awful.

If you want to see how to get ripped, let them come when you are at work and your wife is there. I was quoted $99 per side on my rental property for each side, just like a previous visit, where they did great work. So much for that. This time I had to be at work and they dealt with my wife, who wasn't exactly sure what I had scheduled. First, they RIPPED me for a $60 Scotchgard, which I neither requested, nor wanted. Then, they charged an extra $40 for a rug under the dining table, which was already included in the home estimate, under 'dining room.' What a RIP! Your people will never come here again, and I'm putting the word out in my entire neighborhood. The rental property is only about 500 square feet on each side, and the total should have been around $200, like before. Same appointment as before. But this time I got RIPPED for over $360! You have lost my personal and rental property business forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOLLOW UP: Upon pulling out the sofa to connect a new light we found that they didn't even pull the sofa out to clean underneath it. Nor did they clean underneath my computer table with no wires underneath the completely open area. Nor did they go behind the tv cabinet that has rollers on it. Now we know they asked my wife and tenants (next door in duplex) to wait outside till they were done. So they could go AROUND the furniture instead of moving it, cleaning the area, and moving sofa back, etc. FOLLOW UP: Had them come out again (no charge, of course) to clean up underneath the sofa, rug, and table that they had gone around on previous visit. They argued with my wife and neighbor, who was overseeing while I was at work. Then they said that they had cleaned underneath the sofa, till the pulled it out and looked. Then, my wife showed them photos taken the previous day, and one man said, "I don't want to see your photos," and got very rude. If not for my 6'2" neighbor being with my wife, they would have really gotten nasty, but he put them right in their (LAZY) place! They were also put on notice that they will NEVER clean my residence or rental property again, and I will do everything I can do discourage people from using them. On 6/20/2019 we had our entire house, carpet cleaned. They arrived promptly on time, was very professional, friendly, courteous and respectful of our house and personal belongings. If Stanley Steemer's technicians try to sell you their hardwood cleaner called Quick Shine Floor Luster, do NOT buy it! Definitely not a good product. First of all my floors look just okay and second, some of it splattered on my leather sofa and now I can't get the spots out of my sofa. Called Stanley Steemer to see if they have a product that will remove it and they were of no help. I hope I can find a product that will remove the spots. read more

My dog ate a 2lb bag of chocolate chips and then proceeded to yack them all over the carpets in the house, it was a complete disaster. Although we felt it would never come out we called Stanley Steemer hoping for a miracle. They are now Saint Stanley as they got it all out and did a great job. I called stanley steamer for an estimate last week. I called 2 other places, as well. Stanley steamer was more expensive, but they have a good reputation and I figured it was better to pay a little more and get a good job done. I called them back this morning and was told the original estimate wasn't correct, even though the lady I spoke to last week said this estimate would stand. It was going to be more money. I cannot use a business that doesn't stand by their prices. I suggest choosing any number of other carpet cleaning businesses that stand by their prices. read more

FIrst off, I only needed two rooms cleaned because my carpets have only been walked on by about 4 people without shoes since we built this house. There were spilled wine and coffee in one room and they cleaned the walking in closet in the master bedroom. That's all that needed cleaning. I had to tell them to stop trying to convince me I needed more than what I requested cleaning. He was like a used car salesman. 1. They did not wear any shoe covering on their shoes when they came in and started, one of them had on black sole tennis shoes.-I had to tell them to put on covers later. 2. The hose for the cleaning tool was dirty and left black residue on my stairs. 3. I requested an extra service and when I told the guy to add it he could not believe that I wanted it, I am smart enough to know it's an extra service, but this guy had a hard time believing that I understood that and said four times that it's extra and was I sure I wanted it. From there he treated me like I was mentally deficient. 4. After cleaning the two rooms one of them tried to walk back on the cleaned "wet" carpet without shoe covers to put on the protector, I had to stop him and told him to put on shoe covers. 5. Lastly, the same guy walks outside with the shoe cover on, then tries to go back to the recently "wet" cleaned room with those dirty shoe cover on.. Either there was a training issue or they have limited experience with in general, it needs to be fixed. read more

Franchise Stanley Steemer: SNELLVILLE Expected three rooms carpet cleaning, grout lines on tile cleaned, and couch cleaning with pillows. Appointment after 4pm which was a big mistake apparently they were too tired to remove grout lines on a Friday afternoon. After seeing test patch work on a hasty job, we had to cancel the grout line order. They could not lift the color either do to lack of trying or just could not be done, I will know soon after getting on my hands and knees in an unfortunate DIY project. Carpet jobs took ten minutes each room, rushed QUICKIES. Also, we had to ask them to put on scrub baggies over the shoes however, they refused. Yet insisted we use them, and that his "shoes were clean" sneakers that he came from the car to the outside ground into the house were clean??? RIGHT. They also left out two pillows that I was willing to pay extra for cleaning out, do to the rush job. One star because the couch job wasn't cleaned either, I never had any major stains. Very pleased with our service. We have not taken good care of our carpet and I was afraid it would have to be replaced. The traffic areas were terrible, and spots had been unattended for a long time. Two very professional techs came and reviewed everything with me before they started. They called me in to see areas I was concerned about as they worked, and were very good about moving the furniture around and getting everywhere. It was very easy to schedule the service. That was much better at title then they were,And they did not have right equipment."never said what that was " So why would they send two people out that could no do title ? My review is entirely related to the receipt policy. I placed the order for a cleaning and received an email notice that the service was scheduled. The day before the cleaning I received an email notice reminder. The cleaners did a very good job with the carpet. When I paid for the cleaning I was told the receipt would be emailed, however I never received the receipt. I called 2 days later and asked for the receipt and was told they would email again and be sure to check the spam. It's not in spam. I called again and am now told they can't send to my email because it's my work email, but they will send to my personal email. So, you can send the initial emails to my address, but not the receipt? Are you kidding? What kind of scam is this....you want to fill my personal email with your junk mail? So, I have no receipt because they refuse to email. There are many other excellent carpet cleaners in the neighborhood who will send the receipt to my email as expected....I will use one of them the next time I need carpet cleaned. read more

I found out that the founder of the company was a WWII veteran and his son who now operates the company is a Vietnam Veteran. Their values seemed to transcend to their employees. I have been using Stanley Steemer for about twenty years in several states and my experience yesterday was below par. I scheduled a two room carpet clean only quoted at $119.00 and when the team arrived, I was informed that my two area rugs would be considered "extra charge" at $1.25 per sq ft. I've had the same area rugs for thirty years and they cover most the room area over top of existing carpets and have NEVER been charged extra for them. Both of my rooms to be cleaned are small and the team was in and out in approximately 45 minutes. They charged me $237.00 for the work. I considered it outrageous for the time and effort spent! We called Stanley Steemer to our home to see if they could remove a large area of blood from a new living room carpet after a medical emergency in our home . The stain had actually set in the carpet for four days because of the situation. We were convinced that we would be replacing it but thought we would give SS a try after a recommendation from a good friend and neighbor . The result was Truly miraculous. Kirby a long time employee and his partner arrived on time as promised and worked their magic. They were extremely courteous and professional and took the utmost care not to damage anything in the process . Schedule was 8am called and said it'd be an hour "or so" later. I was told initially that they would go over with me the stains BEFORE they began. Nope. I was told the dry time would be an hour or two. Naivety on my part!!!These guys said 6 or 8 hours and that 24 would be best. Great. I've never done this...so hind sight would have been to schedule maids before. They offered shoe booties. Nice. But they didn't even bother putting the furniture back the way it was!!!! Just up against walls. Only 2 SMALL rooms and no heavy furniture. And after they were gone I noticed a piece of hardware on my counter....I thought it was debris from the carpet..threw it away! When I left BECAUSE I CANT WALK ON IT...I took the trash to dump including that hardware! Returning I realized it belonged to my door lock!! Don't rent ur property. We've used Stanley Steemer several times over the past several years. I have once strayed & tried another company. Never again! The crews that work out of this location are wonderful. Today Donald & his partner arrived on time and prepared to clean our whole house. Including 2 sets of stairs. They didn't take a shortcut & were very thorough. He did offer the usual up-sales but turns out I needed one of them. They now offer a urine treatment that dissolves urine bacteria in the carpet. I have 2 dogs who occasionally have accidents so this was great. And reasonably priced! I highly recommend Stanley Steemer. I called Stanley Steemer to come and clean my carpets in my apartment since I had fallen in my bedroom and busted my nose and bled on the carpet. I had told the person to whom I spoke at the time what I wanted them to do, which was to remove the blood stains, and when I found out that it would be 3 days before they could come out, I doubted that they would be able to remove the stains by then. However, when the crew got there, I found out that they could clean my bedroom and the carpet in living and in the dining area for only $50.00 more, so I agreed to that. How Ever, they were unable to totally remove the blood stains; and I had to call them again to come out. However, it was bitterly cold day on the first day that they came out, and they left my carpets, especially in my bedroom, soaking wet. Which meant that I had a rather cold day inside my apartment! in the meantime I went online and watched the video on how to remove stains from carpets using the Stanley steamer product for hard to remove stains, and I discovered how to do it myself. So, when they came out again, on another cold day, I told them that I wanted him to use hydrogen peroxide this time to remove the stains, which he did. I then followed along behind him and removed the few small stains that remained Behind. Altogether, not a bad experience, except that I had to put my foot down about re-using the steam cleaner approach, as it was too cold a day for another soaking of my carpeting. Mira M.P. read more

Overall the cleaning was very good, just as it had been in the past. The problems this time had nothing to do with cleaning. Our problems were 1) only 1 man sent to move furniture and clean. 2) while moving sofa, knocked off a full magazine rack which had been placed on sofa, fortunately it did not break the glass coffee table it landed on. 3) while cleaning in bedroom, knocked candle holder off the wall, again fortunately thr glass chimney did not break. 4) the day was hot, the cleaner was dressed in black and he had done several jobs before ours, but the body odor was extreme. I received a quote online from Stanley Steamer for a move in clean. I was quoted $1,000. I understand that it was a quote online, and that price could fluctuate a little. When they arrived and walked around, they said it would be $2,200. Over double what was quoted. (After talking to them I did opt to do a polish on the wood floors downstairs, which was a $400 upcharge. So considering that, the price difference was still $800 more than what was quoted). I was in a bind as my movers were coming the next day (they did not have to move ANY furniture, the house was empty), so reluctantly I agreed (they knew I was not happy about the price, and said the best they could do was take $50 off). During the two hours (yes only two hours) the two men, Victor and Shawn, did not wear a mask, wore dirty shoes, and missed many spots in the floors. While we were staying in one of the rooms as they finished the polishing, one of the men used the restroom without asking- with the door open! We are very dissatisfied with the whole experience, and feel we were ripped off. I would not recommend Stanley Steamers to anyone. read more

Don't use this company. I have had not one but two bad experiences with this company in the past 6 months. First time the cleaners only wanted to try to up charge my husband. The entire time they were here. This time today, first of all they did not call to let me know they were coming, just showed up at my door. I have two dogs that needed to be put up, then they were on their phones the entire time they were here. How unprofessional, then they were putting up their equipment I walked around the entire room touching the carpet it only smelled like dirty water.
