Deserve Zero Stars---did not provide that option Last year four Stanley Steemer guys showed up to my house. They were suppose to come prepared to clean my tile floor. They were not. They arrived about 9 am and soon left (supposedly to home depot) to get things they needed for the cleaning. After having a Stanley Steemer consultant come to my house to get the details of the kind of cleaning that was needed, days previous to the arrival of the cleaning crew, one expects promptness and readiness. They completely failed to show up ready to clean my tile floor. What is worst is that they left a mess. They forgot to cover one of the bathrooms. I had to tell them about it. It was not worth it. They simply left another room all wet and still dirty. I should not have told them to do it. They failed to do the job that they were hired to do. One of the guys kept making silly jokes. The worst part was that he made me waste my time listening to him about how he could not do the job that he got paid to do. At the end I was feeling very frustrated that we paid them more than $700 for a sloppy cleaning job. Floors were left still looking dirty and with excess water. Eugene Hernandez, supposedly the manager, was informed. I left many message (voice messages) and emails. He never returned any of my calls or emails. The last time I made an attempt I was finally able to talk to him. He did not even apologize. I wish they can return my money. I feel I have been robbed, abused by these corrupted people that manage Stanley Steemer. They gave me a lot of stress that day. The memory of that day makes me sick up to this day. How can fraudulent businesses like those exist? I am not going to feel good until I get compensated for all the damage dealing with this business has brought to me. read more

ATTENTION, ATTENTION, THE STORY I'AM GOING TO RELATE IS A TRUE EXPERIENCE, I needed the grout cleaned and sealed in my kitchen and bathrooms,I called this company with dimensions of the work to be done, Rigo an employee gave me a quote over the phone, Ok cool, I set an appointment for the following week and on the set day a service man arrived at the job site and informed me that the bid was incorrect, you can tell where this going. Service guy came with news that he didn't have the right tool to do the job, fantastic and two other "professionals " would arrive later to complete the work. Two hours later they came but they couldn't fit in a parking spot, lack of driving skills I suppose. I informed them that my glass guy and plummer both parked in the red for two plus hours with no ticket, no problem. When I spoke to their GM, a another "professional " he said that if his workers get a ticket would I pay it, seriously? Do they want a hot meal too ? After reading up on reviews and making some comparisons, I opted for Stanley Steemer (my invoice #827359). I live in the Pasadena area and the reviews were good, so it made sense to try them. Had two bedrooms, living room, dining area, hallway cleaned this past weekend. My carpeting is old and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. That being said, I'm more than happy with how it looks now that Marc R. and Shaun M. cleaned it. Marc (crew chief) was very knowledgeable and both he and Shaun were very pleasant. They did have some problems with their equipment, which wasn't their fault, but they stuck it out and finished the job, and a great job they did!! I'm more than happy with how my carpet now looks. Any questions I had were answered, and no one pressured me to spend more money or pay for additional services. I would definitely use Stanley Steemer again and I will also recommend them to my friends. read more

I've never experienced horrible customer service this bad, 2 men came to clean my just passed grandfathers room at my grandmothers house, they initially said 99 for 1 bedroom then when they came they said it'll cost 160, which was too much for my grandmothers budget, so she kindly said to just cancel and they can go on their way, however one of the guys insisted he'd stay and yelled at grandmother to let him do his job, at that point We just pushed them out of the house, 3 minutes later the guy comes back and tells us he needs to come into the house to take pictures of our room which was incredibly weird and unusual and I told him to leave before we report him for trying to come into our house and take pictures even though we told him to cancel... weird and horrible experience read more

The first time they came they brought a couple of new employees that didn't do a great job but this time Victor Marin and Prudencio Diaz did an OUTSTANDING job! I had my carpet cleaned in two rooms a couple of days ago. Andrew and Perdencio did a great job, being both quick and thorough. Andrew in particular was good at explaining what they were doing and why, asking me my preferences where appropriate, and informing me of other services they had available without being pushy. Now that the carpet is dry it looks very nice. I have used Stanley Steemer for all my carpet cleaning for the last ten years, and they always do a good job. Called them out for water damage a couple of weeks back. They cut the carpet so they could dry the carpet, remove the soggy padding and replace the padding. That part all went well, however they did a horrible job putting the carpet together mid hall where they cut it. There is now a visible seam that you can see from several feet away. The other cuts they made blended well, I dont know what happened at the one end. They called the next day wanting to clean the carpet which we had originally intended to do. We told them there was a problem with their carpet job and tbey said they would be sending someone out. Haven't seen a soul. I would not use them again for water damage or cleaning as they don't seem to stand behind their work. Good luck if you opt to use them. They are still sending letters wanting to clean the carpet. All we did was increase our junk mail. UPDATE: 3/15/17 They have now gone from my original one star rating to two. The day after the yelp review went in I was contacted by them. The next day they sent another carpet guy out and he did a wonderful job and I no longer have a seam showing. However, in my opinion, the job should have been done properly the first time. They shouldn't send people out to begin with that can't do an adequate job. I personally would not use them again. read more

Called for $99 special but was told I would need a special treatment for an extra $200. Pass and save yourself some grief .

We had a sectional couch and a large area rug cleaned. The sectional came out ok...the area rug, on the other hand, is another story. First we were told they were going to bring it outside to clean but I guess they changed their minds and with out consulting us did it inside. The rug had a non slip mat under it and it was on top of our wood floors. We were told it would take a max of 12 hours to dry. Well we had the rug done on a Friday and by Sunday it was still wet and smelling very badly. We pulled the rug up to discover the non slip mat was soaking wet and also now stuck to our wood floors. We pulled the rug up and placed it on our driveway in the sun to dry. We then pulled up the non slip mat and had to scrub the rubber up in several spots that it stuck. The mat was so damaged we threw it away. Once the rug was dry we put it back in our house only to soon discover that it smelled so bad we had to remove it again. I called Stanley Steamer and was told I should get a call on Monday. I will keep you all posted... Update: We were contacted by Stanley Steamer and they apologized and wanted to make it right. They said they don't clean area rugs in houses. They bring them into their office to get cleaned in a more controlled environment. The technician that came to our house made a mistake. They reimbursed us for the cost of a new rug mat and picked up and cleaned our rug and delivered it when it was done. The whole situation was frustrating but I respect them for making it right. read more

I have worked with this company for about 4 or 5 years. Annually, we do a deep cleaning at home of all our carpeted rooms and the hard wood floors. We also get our mattresses and sofas steamed. Always, they deliver excellent service. We particularly like working with Andrew and his crew. They are a joy to work with! They are efficient, fastidious and trustworthy! I have used this company before. I was much more pleased the first time. This time I was disappointed because the employee that came to clean the rug asked me if I wanted Scotch guard to be applied to the hallway. My hallway is very small (8ft by 1ft). I said yes thinking that it wasn't going to be extra because I wasn't charged extra the last time. However, I was charged $15 without being advised of the extra charge before agreeing to the application. This is very sneaky and underhanded, which I do not appreciate. At 2:45 one guy showed up. No help. No furniture moving equipment. We quickly rescheduled for later that afternoon. No one showed up for that either. I called Stanley Steemer on a Saturday and got an appointment for the very next day. We needed some upholstered furniture cleaned that had gotten soiled in the garage while our home was being remodeled (living room sofa and dining room chairs). The company's technician did a GREAT job. He was friendly, courteous, meticulous, and thorough. When he was done, all of the furniture ended up looking cleaner than when we first brought it into the garage to store it. He even helped me carry the living room sofa back into our home after he finished cleaning and deodorizing it. Until very recently, I didn't even know Stanley Steemer cleaned upholstery and chairs, but I would use this company again without hesitation. I give them a strong two thumbs up! read more

Very shady. Scheduled an appointment to have my sofa cleaned for $129. My sofa is just three cushions with a chaise. I was informed once they got there that it would be slightly more expensive because of the chaise cushion (which is only 2x2 ft larger than the two other cushions). I assumed it would be maybe $50 more, but instead they tried charging me $425. I ended up cancelling on the spot. read more

I have a pet sitting business and recently had one of my "clients" potty all over my floor, including carpeted areas. I called Stanley Steemer and was able to set up an appointment for the very next day. They came out and listened to my concerns about the troubled areas of my carpet where the dog had marked and were very professional and courteous. I also had a dark spot from years of wear and tear near my front door that other carpet cleaning companies were unable to get out. Thankfully Stanley Steemer not only cleaned my carpets thoroughly, but every inch of the carpeting looks brand new. It smells great, and the scotchgard really does protect against new stains (my boyfriend dropped sweet and sour tofu all over it not long after they left). I also purchased a bottle of their Spot Remover, and it works like a charm to remove stains (the sweet and sour tofu), and it doesn't discolor the carpet like a lot of cleaners do. We had set an appointment for between 11-2 on May 15th - we received a call, as promised, at 10:30 (30 minutes prior to arrival) that they were on their way. Andrew and Daniel arrived, assessed our family room carpet (which was the reason for the call), and then, at our request, assessed our kitchen and breakfast room floor for their ability to clean it. The flooring is a difficult-to-clean embossed linoleum, and Andrew took a lot of time to explain and test a process on the floors. When we agreed, he proceeded to hand scrub them with stripper, then used the extractor to clean them and put a coat of wax to finish. They look like new! Our carpet had been the victim of some pet issues in prior years, and they took great care to pre-treat and spend extra time on difficult areas - the carpet came out like new. They even cleaned the high traffic areas in our back bedroom carpet at no additional charge. The pricing was extremely fair and both Andrew and Daniel were professional, engaging, and knowledgeable. We had great confidence in them and their work, and we will definitely request them for future service needs. I am in a highly competitive customer service business, dealing with Fortune 100 clients, so I know the value of both highly personal service and delivering it as promised with a WOW factor. I had Stanley Steemer clean three bathrooms for tile/ grout and tile floor. They also cleaned and polished the kitchen and laundry room tiles as well as my Saltillo kitchen floor. They did an amazing job-especially on the floor-it hasn't looked that good since we bought the house! I was nervous... Stanley Steemer is a carpet cleaning business. Right? But, hold on, they also clean HARDWOOD FLOORS. So I checked the reviews and was convinced, and called for an estimate. Andrew arrived on time, were very professional, and gave me a pretty reasonable estimate, so I made the appointment. When they arrived, they explained the whole process. I was skeptical. These were my solid white oak hardwoods and I didn't want them ruined! I hovered a bit as they started moving the furniture. They asked where I prefered things to go and were very, very careful. Nothing was damaged. I went downstairs while they worked and they texted me to come upstairs to see the first bit of cleaning. I was blown away. The floors were 13 years old and had some wax and dirt built up and I didn't want to refinish as is destroys the natural wood. They looked brand new, and they hadn't even put on the sealant yet. The whole job took only 3-4 hours and there was no mess, and everything was put back exactly where it was originally. I highly recommend Stanley for your hardwood floors. After seeing such a difference, I am seriously considering their maintenance plan. They took my wool area rugs and will return them next week. Thank you Stanley Steemer! read more
