I paid $1,500 for air duct & carpet cleaning & 4 chairs in the 90210 area. UNBELIEVABLE NOISE from their machines for high rise comdos... and they charge YOU $299 to RENT THEM. our dag was terrified. As a LAST OF THE BIG SPENDERS guy I gave the really nice 4 employees a split of champagne each. Did not get to walk into the room until next day. a picture is worth a thousand words. see below. The tech who did the cleaning told us a tip to next time book just the basics and your tech can then offer add-ons at a discounted price (and they make commission). Update: So a new owner took over the franchise and turned things around. Oscar came out re cleaned the bedroom and was incredibly professional. Today was a windy day in southern CA and some leaves blew in while the front door was open and he was steam cleaning. He even mopped the area after he was done!! We had them come out and clean the tile in 3 bathrooms ($66 each), a small laundry room ($130 they over charged me for this room) and clean 2 area rugs ($100 each). I did my regular weekly cleaning on Sunday and I wanted them to come and finish that by cleaning the grout in my bathrooms and my 2 area rugs so I scheduled them for Monday. They only sent one guy so my husband and I had to carry out both large area rugs to the driveway so they could be cleaned. The one guy said he couldn't do it by himself. Then he walked all through my house with dirty shoes no booties on. He also didn't put the corner guards up so his hoses scratched up the corners of my walls. When he left I happened to notice a white area in the main bathroom and started wiping it up and it was dirt. I started wiping up more of the floor only to find out that the entire floor was dirty. It was like the water or residue was dirty and left on the floor. I will note the other bathrooms looked fine. So then I spent a few hours re-cleaning the main bathroom floor and my hardwoods throughout the entire house because he left dirty shoe marks everywhere. I had just cleaned the house and paid SS over $500 to come and finish my cleaning but made it dirty!!! So I called them they told me they would get back to me in 48 hours. Several days later a manager from SS came and said he would credit me $66 for the main. I asked what about a credit for the $2+ hours I spent cleaning up after your worker left??? He wasn't willing to compensate me. So this is your warning don't hire Stanley Steamer. They are terrible. They will leave a mess. read more

The guys were so polite Junior & Jershua. We had duct cleaning, Traveritne tile /grout cleaning about 1000sq ft plus carpet cleaning 5 area room size rugs and runners . The guys arrived at 8:30 and were here till about 3:30. They worked pretty hard and it was a warm day 90+ . We treated them to lunch and kept them hydrated and they appreciated the hospitality. the rugs look great and even after drying the stains didn't rise up. I'll update next week when we change our furnace filter , we were having serious issues there with thick grime making us change filters weekly. We had a great experience with Stanley Steemer. We needed our carpets cleaners quickly after construction dust got all over our house, and I was able to book very quickly online. I appreciated that the pricing was transparent and I could easily see the total cost before booking. I was wondering if the cost would end up being higher when they got here, but it was exactly as quoted. I liked that there were text updates to remind about the appointment and that I could check on the map to see exactly how far away they were, so we could be prepared for their arrival. The gentlemen who came were very professional and I appreciated they had such good customer service training (truly! Other companies could take a lesson). I have to say they worked really hard to go above and beyond for us. They kept us informed along the way and asked questions to verify they were doing what we expected. At the end of the job they walked through the house with us to make sure we were happy with everything. Overall great experience. Charged me $575 to "clean" my air ducts after we'd undergone major construction in our house for 8.5 months. Turned on the heater right after the cleaning (haha), and all the upstairs vents blew dirt, contractor dust and debris (sawdust, pieces of our old wood floor) all over the walls, white furniture, floors, paintings. After an hour, someone called me back to "remedy" the situation by sending someone out "possibly tomorrow" to clean it up.... What? She could only discount me $40 since I said I cleaned it up myself, and I never wanted Stanley Steemer in my house again. The man who came to give an estimate explained how they clean air ducts and assured me all dust, allergens, bacteria, etc etc would be removed. Nope. What a terrible and expensive mistake I made. *Sam--in response to your comment: Jose did offer to help clean it up. It was not a "small" amount of dust, btw. You shouldn't try to minimize this. 7 out of 14 vents had debris puff out all over the place. I asked him how that could happen if they truly cleaned them? I asked him to call his manager while he and George were still here. He told me he couldn't do that. I'd have to do that myself. This was definitely not the duct cleaning I was pitched. I was assured the way Stanley Steemer cleans ducts, they are left completely clean. Clearly untrue. So I asked them to leave because I felt the whole situation lacked integrity. read more

We requested steaming service for 2 mid sized area rugs. A round 8x8 and a square 8x8. The guy told us we were going to see dark spots but not to worry because it's "wet". Well the dark spots never went away and $150 later we are left with dirty area rugs. Don't waste your money. read more

I had my floor steam cleaned about two weeks ago. The technician that performed the service, machine fell over cracked one of my 18 x 18 porcelain floor tile, the supervisor Oscar scheduled for someone to come out and repair the broken tile they never showed up. I called and left a message to speak with the owner. They have not called me back. All, please beaware if you have damage done to your property most likely it's going to be a hassle getting it repaired or fixed. In response to Sam, the business owners message. I was not home yesterday. I didn't confirming with anyone that I would be home. Why in heavens would you show up an not Confirm if a person is going to be home. He set me up for an appointment on very short notice. If Justin is any indication of the company ethos, I expect my final review after service will also be great. Excellent results cleaning a chair I had feared would not recover from cat puke stains. I was happy with Stanley cleaners more than twenty years ago when we first used them and I would have continued to use them but something with my husband out voted me and he went with other companies. The bonded and certified we okay but the fly by night companies were horrible and the last guy he hired was beyond bad. He saturated my living room carpet down to the padding. The chemicals he used to eliminate pet stains and orders just made everything worst. Our cats that were sick just went there more. They used the living room for a potted box. This is a cautionary tell Do Not use any carpet cleaning company that isn't bonded and certified because to are just asking for a nightmare that keeps on giving. I lost a couple of wallets to this company that had credit cards and other personal information in it that needed to be saved this wallets were in my closed desk. Stanley cleaners is honest, reliable and efficient. Their worker that did my living room today was beyond excellent in work ethic, courtesy and above all listening to the client and accommodating their individual needs. Very compassionate also. This employee's name is Junior. I believe in giving recognition where recognition is due and deserved. I am disabled with severe allergies and breathing problems from a birth defect. They wouldn't do anything to rectify the situation which left me no choice but to call someone else. I called Stanley Steemer and I'm glad I did. After leaving a brutally truthful review, customer service reached out to me right away and sent over a new technician. Junior was impeccable! Very friendly and personable, but even more importantly his attention to detail was top notch! He listened to my concerns and delivered exactly what I was hoping, all with white glove service! I made the mistake of thinking that would equate to quality. I am so disappointed! I rarely leave reviews but couldn't let this slip by. The technician who came put so LITTLE EFFORT into cleaning my carpets. I had to ask him to go over spots again. He told me that it was just because it was in a "high traffic area" however I asked him to please try again and when he did the stains came out!!! I hate to hover when someone is working at my home but because of his lack of attentiveness I watched and had to repeatedly ask him to go over the spots he missed. He flat out refused to try and retreat a spot in my daughter's bedroom that is purely just dirt in an area where she sat at her desk. He told me that it was just a spot that was untreatable. I asked if he had tried any special treatment on the spot and he just said there's nothing you can do to get that out. His professionalism was horrific! I called Stanley Steemer and asked for quote on getting the wax stripped from my floors. I told him several times that I wanted the floors "stipped" not cleaned. He said he understood and quoted me a $99 special. I again asked if that special was for "stripping" the wax of the floor. He assured me that was the price. On the day they arrived the technician said that was the wrong price. He quickly measured the are I wanted done and said it was $540. But he quickly said he could give me 15% off. I told him I was quoted a price already. The technician said that the operator did not know what they were talking about. I sent him on his way. I was not about to spend $400 above the price quoted. We finally decided to have our carpets cleaned professionally and I have to say we made an excellent choice in Stanley Steemer. The technician Jesse showed up well within the chosen time window, was comfortable with our overly friendly dog and did the entire house quickly and thoroughly. Had the crew come out to clean my yacht's carpets. I had them come out the week prior to inspect it to make sure they could do it because it is a yacht. They agreed to do it and stated it may be less than my online quote because I didn't have too many stairs. The following week they arrive and tell me the price to do it is twice what they quoted online, from $300 to $600. I told them to pound sand. This was 100% bait and switch. BEWARE! Extremely disappointed with young untrained employees and pricing. I scheduled a cleaning for my travertine floors. The young man showed up without a measuring tool and told me he was not experienced with stone but gave me 2 options. Steam clean without chemical (it would dull my stone) at 99$ per room or the more expensive, $3.00 per sq. foot, using a buffer, clean, and final buff for shine. He "guesstimated" between $600 to 800.00. After I requested to speak to his manager he went out makes a call, reschedule for Wednesday with his manager and good news he would drop the price to$2.00 per foot. They did not show up Wednesday and the office knew nothing about it but would send someone out that pm. Second young crew show up without manager, knowing nothing about my complain. He did NOT recommend the buffing method. He was a stone person and recommended their regular cleaning that should not dull the floor and it would be $1,530.00. Asked them to leave, but he came back to my door and said his manager approved $1.00 for a total of $500.00. This is for the cleaning which was quoted at 99.00 per room! Extremely poor communication between manager and employees and office. Need to do a better job of training. This was the Oxnard Staley Steemer. They did show up on time as promised. We were actually able to schedule an appointment very quickly with them. We use them to clean sofas and some area rugs. When they were cleaning the cushions from the sofas they had laid them on top of a wood coffee table with no protection for the coffee table. When they were ready to leave the coffee table was wet and we dried it off. They left the cushions in place on the couch and quite damp. We took the cushions off the couch and set them apart so that they would dry out. We asked for an experienced senior crew. This is not what we received. The names of the two individuals who were here were Junior and Jeff. They were reasonably polite but did not seem all that well educated about what they were doing and how they were going to do it. Most of the time they were here Junior appeared to be doing most of the work while Jeff was occasionally on his cell phone. Their service is rather expensive and we don't believe they render a product worthy of their price. We had good luck in the past using Stanley steamer in other states but certainly did not hear her in California. We will not use them again nor will we recommend them to anyone else. read more
