The doughnuts are delicious! I can't fathom the idea of ever purchasing a doughnut from Dunkin doughnuts ever again after having Stans. They have such a variety that I can never choose! I swear it takes me about 5 minutes to pick which doughnut I want. They also serve coffee which is okay. The staff is nice enough but not what I would call warm and fuzzy friendly. If you are looking to satisfy a sweet tooth, then look no further! Stan's Donuts are tasty and unique in their combinations. My favorite so far has been the Nutella Pocket donut, which is truly an enjoyable experience. The donuts may be pricey for some, but I believe the donuts are worth the price. If you are driving to this location it is difficult to find parking so plan to drive around for 10 minutes or so. Overall, the donuts are tasty, the staff is friendly and present to enjoy their job, and the place is always packed which is a good sign. The donuts here were awesome! All of their donuts are unique and mash different ingredients that you wouldn't expect to go together. I had the captain crunch donut and one of their turnovers. They were both awesome, the coffee here is pretty standard. Service is pretty good and it is always fairly busy, make sure you stop by if you are not from the area! read more

I stopped in because I heard good things from my sister, and she was right! I had 3 donuts: the Nutella pocket, the apple fritter, and the cinnamon sugar cake. All three were very good, though the best was the apple fritter! There were so many options there, so one day I'd like to go back and try even more! If you know and love donuts, think again! This place in my opinion, is probably the 'Lexus' of donut shops! While the donuts are pricey (average price is USD$1.85 each), you get what you pay for! We tried the Lemon custard and the Chocolate buttermilk bar- both tasted like heaven: no bull. Be adventurous and indulge! Location is in the very hip triangle of Damen, Milwaukee and North Avenues at Wicker Park (Blue line is right beside the store). There are plenty of choices for a meal, then enjoy a fancy donut at Stan's for dessert. Donuts are, unfortunately, one of my favorite foods. I've eaten many donuts in my lifetime and have tried all the major Chicago spots. Stan's is my favorite. I recently backpacked in Europe, satisfying my sweet tooth with reckless abandon, yet the pastry I craved most was right here in Chicago. My go-to donut is the classic cake with vanilla icing and sprinkles, although there are many good ones. We find the Damen location to have the best selection. read more

Not a bad shop. Clean and well-lit. However, signs for the product would be super useful (there was a lot of pointing and puzzled looks on my end), as well as clearly labeled prices. Again, the donuts were good, but they're incredibly over-priced. I paid $8.50 for lunch (at a different place) and $9 on three donuts. And I get that inflation and artisan work is a thing right now, but seriously? $9 for three donuts? I guess if you have the disposable income, cool, but dude. I really don't. read more

Seriously the best donuts I've ever had. I'm not normally a fan of sweets, but wanted a cup of coffee on my morning commute. I stopped in and couldn't take my eyes of the words Nutella and peanut butter on their listed offerings. I couldn't help it... And got both. These were way beyond anything I've had at glazed and infused. They were fluffy, fresh, not over the top sugary (bearing in mind they ARE donuts). Was the price a bit high? Yes. Was it worth it? Amazing! The staff was really incredible. They made sure that everyone in line was attended to, and the cashier was very sweet. They have an amazing selection of donuts--so much that I was trying to decide for several minutes. The prices seem a little high, but the donuts are huge and very filling. Can't go wrong with Stan's. One of the premier donut shops in Chicago. It's not too expensive either $2-4 per donut and they're very good size. Friendly, quick, and helpful service. I could smell something delicious from Blue Line exiting train, it is literally the first place when you exit Damen station. I normally don't have a sweet tooth, but glad I gave this place a try. It is probably one of the best donut shops I've had, much better than Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts. Stan's is a bit pricey compared to others however it is worth the extra money.
