Called to get my prescription emailed to me, The lady was rude over the phone did not help me with what I needed because she wouldn't listen to what i was asking for. I spent $370 for two pairs of glasses which were supposed to have anti glare and scratch resistance. Neither was true. Jut needed my prescription to get new glasses at Costco without doing another exam. Hope this helps someone else not get ripped off. read more

Jay And Joseph are amamzing !! Both are super approachable and so helpful! I have really long eyelashes and they always tend to touch the lenses of my eyeglasses. I always end up spending so much time just trying to find one pair that doesnt touch my lashes. Jay was so patient as i tried at least 50 pairs of glasses. Even re tried the same ones a couple of times just to make sure. Eventually we narrowed it down to 10 then to 2 pairs and with his help I was able to find the perfect pair. I also explained to him that I was having this terrible headache and that my eyes are always dry. He asked me if I am in front of a computer at work and he recommended that I get a pair of glasses that block blue light. Then his GM Joseph explained to me all the great benefits and I was sold on buying the glasses! Cant wait to pick them up! read more

He also simply explained to me what he was doing, why he was prescribing what he was and looked for my responses, I do not have a doubt he is the best at his profession. Those adverts for $39 for second pair is comparable to Steve Martin in the jerk when he was giving away prizes at the carnival. In the end, this place is over priced when you find something you like. You won't want any of those sad frames they advertise. Not a good experience with the doctor, the prescription, the sunglasses, or the regular glasses. Doesn't matter what time of day; long wait times in store and on phone listening to their pathetic repeated recordings of striving to provide the best quality. The doctor was slow and gave me a prescription that's too strong. I took it back to them and they tried to tell me that the doctor is correct and that my eyes will adjust. Well my eyes never did adjust to the $300+ glasses. I went back in there and they said they would have to charge me for a new because the doctor is separate from Stanton. Well somehow they make this the customers problem. I can't wear my glasses while working on a computer and if I want to get the best clarity I have to wear them on the tip of my nose. The sunglasses came back with barely any tint whatsoever. I literally had to keep insisting they improve the tint. They said, we will try but can't guarantee it will get any darker. Well it came back corrected like normal tint. I don't see how this place stays in business with their business model. Never again! read more

Well this is a new one for me and 70 years of life I always thought there were two types of people to check eyes officially that have studied for this: ophthalmologists and optometrists. Now, according to the small print of blah blah blah, there is a new type of person called a refractologist(?) Who does the actual eye exam and then the results are sent to an optometrist somewhere in the US who will either approve or disapprove the results. Some people may be comfortable with this or they don't even read the fine print but I take my eyesight very seriously and I will go where there is somebody fully qualified that went through their schooling and became licensed. By the way, in the small print of the "blah blah blah", it says that I can get a full health exam by going to an optometrist or an ophthalmologist & this is not the place! My eyes are more important to me than a $45 or free NON CERTIFIED optometrist or ophthalmologist. I'm even more unhappy that it took me 40 minutes to drive here and and $12 in gas at the present rate, when I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that making an appointment for an exam was with a non-doctor! read more

I honestly don't understand any of the one star reviews (. .) This place greatly exceeded all of my expectations for an eye exam and glasses buying experience! From the beginning the service was friendly and honest. The intake process was quick, easy, and the staff put me at ease with just about everything. Worry not about this place being COVID compliant because these guys already had a tele-visit system already tested and in place before it all began. It was even better I would say than your typical in-person visit because it was quick, streamlined, and with modern, sophisticated equipment! And when it comes to service here, I just can't say enough about how exceptional of an experience it was! I mean this is probably the most fun I've had in choosing glasses! A big part of this review I must owe to the one and only, Tony! He goes to epic leaps and bounds to provide a memorable time as you fine tune your selection and as others have shared, he is beyond helpful! My glasses that I walked into the store with were pretty misaligned and for the most part, I've just resigned myself to just suck it up and adapt to the crooked-ness of them. I've tried to get them adjusted at other places that do it by standard and it's just never been done right. Usually it's also met with indifference to my predicament and the apathy reflects in the lack of effort put towards correction. With Tony, however, he put care into his craft and now my glasses are perfectly aligned!! It's like a whole new pair on my head with 100% durability!! I could have been sadly oblivious to proper alignment for the rest of my life, if it wasn't for Tony! Tony!!! This is the best place to get glasses. Not only do they have great service, but their deals are great. I got sunglasses, glasses, and contacts for the same price I usually pay for my glasses alone. There was a bit of confusion on my sunglasses when I picked them up. I expected them to look the same as they did when I picked them out. The lenses we're gradient but when I picked up my prescription, they were one solid color because of the polarization I asked for. James completely understood my disappointment and took care of me right away. Now I have exactly what I wanted. Great customer service . I was recommended by a friend to come to Stanton Optical to get an eye exam because my current glasses were hurting my eye. Out of all locations I was told to visit this one. Upon arrival I was greeted with a "hello and welcome!" Followed by one of the optician, Samir, to ask me if I had any questions about anything. He stuck by me telling me about the location and started to show me glasses that I may be interested in a VERY professional manner. I am not great at picking glasses so I valued his input. Samir introduced me to the Dr. John Vinh. Let me just tell you this.. Dr. Vinh is one down-to-earth Dr. He explains everything he does and gets on a personal level. Dr. Vinh makes me feel comfortable in the location and doesn't pressure me to do anything. After getting my exam complete I had my prescription. I wasn't in a rush so I waited a little and got my glasses the same day! How awesome is that! I would highly recommend to see Dr. Vinh for your future eye problem!!! I saw that I made the 5th strike when asking you to cover one eye and let me know if you could see. I am reaching out just to clarify that I did not think you were lying. I was trying to help. I was trying to see how the prescription performed independently on each eye for you. By knowing that, I could ask the doctor to correct the prescription on either one eye or both eyes. Because the eyes have the ability to compensate for each other's performance (or the lack thereof), it's hard to pinpoint individual performance without covering one eye at a time. I apologize if my effort made you feel differently. I understand that the whole process was frustrating to you and I could see where your feeling was coming from. Used Stanton for several pairs of glasses over the past several months and we had a mixed bag of issues. Over the course of this time I got a pair of regular bifocal glasses, a pair of bifocal sunglasses and a pair of basic single lens computer glasses. Initially went in with an ad/special, but by the time everything was added on it ended up being around $700.00 for everything. The prescriptions didn't work on the first go around and I had to be rechecked, and then there was a fee to redo the 3 lenses, and that came out to an additional $300+. I feel like I was taken advantage of, and upsold on a lot of things that in hind sight were not needed. I'm a senior citizen and feel like I didn't understand everything that I was being up-sold on and charged for until later, and now have regrets. My son thinks I was taken advantage of, and some things were added on that I didn't need or want, such as extra fees. I understand that the sale price we came in for was for basic glasses, and mine were beyond that, but there comes a point when the added fees and the upselling is far too much to keep track of and know if you really need. Once you're midway through a process like I was you do feel a bit trapped in finishing the everything if things need to be redone, and to keep adding things as they are recommended....what the heck is an "impact package" for $228.00 for 1 pair of glasses? I should have looked closer at my receipt before paying and leaving, but was so tired of the process I just wanted to get out of there. We also noticed on the receipt that frames were paid for more than once. We trusted the person entering all the info, and now that we're looking at the receipt and doing some bookkeeping/budget work we're seeing all these charges and fees that we now don't understand or feel are extraneous. The final time when going in to pick up the bifocals that had been redone, both of them were clear, so then we had to wait for the sunglasses to be made again. What they also do is charge for additional things, give discounts so you feel like you're getting a deal, but in the end the fees are higher than expected even with the discounts that are there to butter you up. In the end the entire experience started out good, and I was recommending to my son to use Stanton, but now with everything finished it was an overall negative experience. We didn't feel like spending any more time dealing with things or arguing about the fees, so in the end we just paid and moved on with our life. read more

I found the experience very impersonal and almost an assembly line process. The technicians who did the eye exam were assistants and gave very little information. The optometrist only came on via TV monitor at the end, and he gave even less information than the assistants did. I have to say it was a night and day experience when compared to past eye exams with other optometrists. Then my prescription glasses came in and they are a mess, with focal lengths being inaccurate and unusable. Looks like I'm wearing my old glasses till I can find a new Optometrist. read more
