I went in to make more than 250 copies of a document. I was greeted immediately and directed to the copy machines, for faster service. My copies were almost done when the copier ran out of paper. Before I could turn around, an associate was walking towards me with paper in hand. She filled the copier with paper and my order was able to be completed with minimal interruption. read more

Went to drop off a ups package needed someone to take my package and get a receipt. Desk person was helping another guest waited there for a while figuring the employee was busy after the client got finished I was not acknowledged that I was there waiting then another costumer walks in for prints and the employee helps him instead. I'm sure I was seen unless I have been a ghost. I understand people get busy and I'm patient the very least say something t along the lines of I will be with you shortly or anything instead of a feeling of being disregarded. I've been coming to this staples for such a long time I can't think of another office supply store that I go to for my school/office needs. Ah, okay so when they first built this Staples I was soo happy. I remember thinking, finally I don't have to drive to fucking Torrance to photocopy shit that I needed for school. Second reason, I loveee school & office supplies. New crayons, pencils, markers, anything just fills that void in my heart sometimes. Real talk: The service is awesome. You can basically find an employee at anytime and ask them for help... oh and every time I've asked for help (usually multiple times within the hour I usually spend here) they're always nice. I found this Staples to be smaller than one near where I live and also the workers are less accommodating. So I only go here when I'm in Torrance. In one of my first few visits here, one of the workers was scanning the items and he proceeded to ask "Chinese?" "No? Korean?" and so on. LOL wtf racist... Super random, I went in looking for a pen-holder for my desk. After browsing, and being nicely asked if I needed help by a couple associates I found what I was looking for. A basic black penholder cubby thingy. As I was exiting, I spotted a clearance table right by the register and BOOM! There it was an even bigger-better penholder for only $4! Snatched that right away and proceeded to check out. All the associated there were quite attentive and friendly. That's the way I like it! Thanks guys for making this visit such a pleasant one. I was scared to go in because I did not want to run into anyone I knew. Luckily no one I knew was there. I came in to pick up an engineering print that I had ordered online and some filling folders. I was able to find what I needed with no problem at all. The staff that helped me during this visit, both at the printing area and the cash register were very nice and made me feel comfortable. Which was a great surprise because when I use to go a few years back they had this one old perverted man who would stand at the door as a greeter. He totally creeped me out. read more

Worse customer service ever here. We had came from the Gardena location to do a SIMPLE exchange for a gaming chair. Since the Gardena store, I had done a pick up order (this is anniversary/bday gift for him) and had a promotion for 20% off. But once we picked it up and when we got home. My bf realized the brand new chair had misalignment holes for the screws to go in. We did go back to the Gardena location again where we picked it up at. The employee there was so helpful but they didnt have anymore in stock. So he said the Carson location had a ton left. So we drove 20mins away and to do the even change for the same exact thing. Nothing more or less. I could tell the cashier was already confused and even though I showed her everything from the order confirmation emails from my phone, had the paper online order from Gardena. She had to return everything because "SUPPOSIVELY" since I had done a pick up order and it "wouldnt let her" do a even exchange. That she would have to refund me and then charge me AGAIN. I was slightly annoyed because it honestly felt like she didnt know what to do and its not like I didnt have the money to be recharged again but its more like if you didnt know the exact how to do it- ask someone! But I understand different companies have different ways to go about things but she did seem unsure. What if I didnt or someone didnt have enough money to be recharged again? Thats a huge incovience already ya know? For a simple even exchange for the same thing. I just agreed to it and thought nothing more after. So we waited till the chair to come out from the stockroom. When it came down to the recharge/exchange, the total was $164 and I said it should be $142 if its an even change. I showed her again the proof and on my phone but I could tell she was having a bad day and didnt even bother to look at my phone that had the proof. She calls over her "manager" and he even says why dont you just apply the same discount percent? She then goes oh she had a $100 credit..WHICH MADE NO SENSE AT ALL. First of all, I, myself am a manager a major retailer myself. It is just a simple even exchange for the same damn thing for the same damn color! The chair itself was retailed in store and online for $229.99, on sale both in store for $149.99, promotion is going on where to you spend $100+ you get 20% off! Total with tax is $142.34. But yet they wanted to charge me for $164+ I said wait, Im only even exhanging it & there is no $100 credit- its on sale for $100 off...She said well the promotion can only be used once...I said well I am not getting it then..and I left because it was pointless to stand there. It makes no sense, it was a manufacturing issue. I understand the promotions are varied and what not but this was just literally a swap! We walked out, my boyfriend went to go complain to their 1-800 number but other than that nothing else can be done. I will no longer give my buisness to Staples. This had put a sour taste in my mouth. They also couldve just put the amt in store credit and charge that back on to the exchange. My thing is, for the store manager to not have the real mannerism of a store manager or even take over the situation and just done the discount and had his associate take over and tell me no..makes no sense. we were literally just getting the same thing. Not even that, he told you to discount it and you decided to not do it?? If it was a one time only use then youre telling me..I couldve got my bf to do a whole ordeal to make a pick up order then pick it up right in front of you to just get charge for the original total?! That sounds like some bullshit and a hassle to go through. If you HAVE to go staples, go to the Gardena location. They are way more helpful. Long line.. not enough cashiers. Took almost 15 minutes to just turn in cartridges for recycling. Did I mention there are no shopping carts? We popped in to get one, none available. The clerk said there weren't any, and we didn't see any customers with any.. why are there no shopping carts? It's 6:30pm! The employees are amazing! Very welcoming and attentive. I went in to see if staples would be able to fix my iPhone. The iPhone had water damage. They put the phone for about 30 minutes in a machine. I had no hope that my phone would turn on because the screen was blinking and had stripes going down. When the guy came back he handed me my phone which worked! I was amazed and so blessed. If you drop your phone in water, DONT plug it in and take it to staples! read more

Absolutely terrible printing service. The website says that if you submit any design/print request before 2:00 PM it will be done within the same day. However, I did not get to submit mine until 4:00 Saturday afternoon. I get an email saying that it will be ready by 5:30 Sunday night. I come in at 5:45 thinking it would be done. I ordered 1000 cards that are front and back in color. But the guy at the counter said that he had not gotten started on it and gave me a long ass sob story about how busy they were. I have worked retail before so I understand the rush, but this guy admitted that he is new to the job and he was the only one working on the weekend! So fine, whatever. He says it will be done on Monday at 1 PM. Get here Monday at 1:15, and of course.. not done. The lady then tries to explain that I uploaded it wrong onto their website. And whatever IS printed out, is only half of my design. HORRIBLE! And now I'm sitting here, waiting ANOTHER hour, after I have given them AT LEAST 24 hours to finish my order. read more

The employees at this Staples do not put forth any effort into Customer Service. To them it's all about a self checkout kind of service. Customer service is nonexistent at this store. This experience has me questioning if I'll ever visit a Staples Store ever again. I would not recommend visiting this Staples Store. No wonder there are only 5 cars in this large parking area. I go to this place very often because the location is convenient. The prices are not bad and I like that they have everything I need for business. I would give them a 2.5 if I could. The reason is tje management and flow is always bad. They always are short on cashiers and the line gets backed up. I went in for quick ink cartridges and spent 25 minutes in line with one register open? I was 12th in line and then of course you have that customer that is slow and asked multiple questions. I was next up when that happened. The store manager should be more on top of the daily flow and handle it more efficiently. I will continue going to this place and hopefully things will get better. read more

Thanks to the young lady who works in the printing department and her rude and unprofessional customer service. All I wanted was info on pricing for poster board. Which she had no clue of knowing and had an attitude while looking it up on the computer. When tell a customer you have a big order to do which was her answer to me and had nothing to do with pricing. If you are not pleased of your job on customer service, then why even work in the field. Maybe there should be pricing ranges for printing items so customers don't have to wait for an associate to assist them. I've had trouble with printing here a couple times, they never really print what I need correctly. It happened again when printing my portfolio but Chris was very helpful and made sure he got it right the second time around. I don't think any other employee at this Staples has been more attentive and helpful as he was. He was very busy and the only one at the Copy and Print section, but he did a great job helping people out. I felt bad for making him do my portfolio again after it was wrong. But I'm so thankful for his help and how understanding he was because it was my final for school. read more

Edrev helped me when my color copies didn't turn out due to the machine. I was very pleased with his professionalism, efficiency, and personable service mannerism when I was pressed for time. The customer service today in the Copy and Printing Center is the worst customer service we got. We were very patient throughout all this process. We've been ordering booklets here and we had no problem except today. We wanted a simple price check of the booklets that we are trying to order, but Diana just complained how she can't do it because the machines are not working good. She checked the price for the order and it came out expensive, so we ask why. She did not give us a well explanation. The manager somewhat explained to us that Staples had changed prices and all, we were still confused but we let it go. We're okay with the order now and we were ready. They told us to wait for Diana for 10 minutes and honestly it was already 30 minutes and we were very patient. Diana came out and she said that we are being taken care of but she helped another person. Diana kept giving us look and they all kept us waiting when all we did is ask for the final price of the product because everytime they check it, it comes out different prices. Josh was very helpful, but Diana and the manager were not. It was a horrible customer service from them, so we just decided not to get it and left. read more

The Printing Center is beyond amazing!! They saved me with a massive print load on New Year's Eve! I had to print 6 packages of 16 packets within an hour since I was dropping them off in an area not close to my house or work. The woman working on it even walked the boxes she sorted everything into to my car after she finished. She was so kind and hard working on a day most people get off to relax.
