Was totally happy with the service that I received from Staples on sunrise. The representative that took care UPS She is absolutely fantastic in every way. I then had two packages that I had to return to Amazon and the gentleman that helped me there was was delightful. I commented on him and on the other representative that was handling the returns and I asked if Staples their employees to a school where they learn to cater to the customer he told me no he said what's the problem with being kind to people I don't understand. I also spoke with a manager of the store who was as delightful and very appreciative with my feedback about her to employees. Based on those two people, I would definitely recommend this store and I will continue to shop there and recommend that you as well. read more

Let's start with customer service. " Horrible " absolutely wrenching! If you have an Amazon return here be prepared to wait!! They take no pride in helping Amazon customers and their returns . I literally stood in line for 15 min behind a guy who was here before me and three others with returns came after me an we are literally still standing here. I have one time had to make returns here get out of line from their Amazon return area to go ask for a sales associate to help me and I was rudely responded to with " Someone will be with you when we can. We help our customers purchasing items first." They are a priority ?!!! I was dumbfounded! With that response Literally standing here, you have five people waiting in line to make a return. I've seen three employees walked to the back. I see three employees standing not doing anything and every single person that comes to the checkout line is priority over potential customers making a return? How do you know I'm not there to purchase something either? Purchased an HP ink cartridge on July 13, 2026. Inserted into printer a few days later and found it to be defective. Returned to store on July 27 to return product. Was told it had to be unopened in original package to be accepted as a return!! Duh, how was I supposed to know it was defective unless I attempted to use it? Then I was told I missed the 14 day return period - but it would not be accepted anyway because it was not in an unopened package. This defies all logic. It is also not in line with Staples printed return policy. The warranty on this cartridge ends in February, 2028. If the cartridge is shaken one can tell there is ink in the cartridge. I think the Citrus Heights store should review this return request. I am afraid the manager (/) is mistaken about accepting this return. read more

Another bad Amazon review, a clerk came right over to me and helped me but was more interested in talking to his "boss" ( I wish I had gotten his name, dark hair average build). I use to get a receipt for my amazon returns so I went back in and the "boss" was rude and condescending in my opinion. Myself and my husband will never go back to this Staples for anything!! I bought an office chair, and the assembly instructions were so clear and simple, and parts were so well labeled that it was a breeze! Then, when I was unable to raise or lower the chair height (completely my error), I called the Staples help number, immediately was connected to a very pleasant and knowledgeable person, who quickly solved my problem. One staff was extremely rude, very commanding when I asked where to find something like I should've know before hand.

When I went to write this review I was shocked to see some negative reviews. I frequently use this Staples on Sunrise for help with special projects in their printing department. I realize most of the bad reviews were for Amazon drop off but nonetheless the employees at this Staples have always been helpful and very nice... so much so that each time I leave the store I swear I'll write a review but get busy and forget. In the last several years the employees in the printing department have been very helpful in helping me with designs for work, wedding events and baby showers. They have ALL been patient in helping me troubleshoot technical difficulties. It's not just me, as I have had time to observe the way in which they help others too...always being professional and not rushed, even when I could see they were extremely busy. Wish I could remember all their names but most recently Allahya helped me with this baby shower invite, it's just part of the sign but just wanted to show how cute it turned out! This is the worst Staples! Only one employee working and he's crazy slow. I had one person ahead of me for Amazon returns. We waited a good 10+ minutes for the guy to finish dallying on the computer, then help a woman returning(?) something at the register that took forever. He finally came over and helped the guy in front of me. While helping f him someone came up who had items to check out. After helping the guy in front of me he started walking away to help the people check out. They had a full basket and I had ONE item to return. It would've taken 15 seconds at most to do. He just had to scan my phone. As he walked away I told him I just had one item. He said he had to help the other people (who had many items in their basket), that it wa policy. I came in to do an Amazon return and went to the counter they are typically processed at, myself and 2 other customers stood there for over 5 minutes with an employee very clearly seeing people were waiting. She neglected to tell any of us we were in the wrong line and the return counter had moved. The correct counter already had a line of 3 people standing around while nobody worked the counter or acknowledged us. I approached a cashier name Lilly after she finished with her customer to ask if anyone could help us and her response was to raise her voice and say "Yeah, we all know you're there! You guys are making it pretty obvious!" then proceeded to roll her eyes as she came over to the counter to help. They have very large wording on the wall that says "thank you for shopping"... ironically, I found it hard to shop with no sales person on the floor. I was looking for several different products and didn't know where to find them. I also had questions about them. I mentioned it to two employees (one covering the register and covering the printing department ). One went to find the manager for me to mention my observation. I wondered how this might be influencing their business. The manager was eating lunch and did not come out to speak with me. That is a true indication that Customer service is absent in this store. I've been paying for an iPostal1 box at this location for over a year and have had constant issues with it; items lost, put into the wrong box, never marked as being there despite them being marked as delivered by the carrier. Nearly every time I have something delivered, I have to call and check up on it, which is honestly pretty annoying but in the grand scheme, not an enormous deal. Tonight I had to call to find out when my package would be updated (you can't pick it up until it's loaded into their system, and it was marked as being 'delivered' by the carrier about 4 hours prior to me calling - I'd spent the afternoon watching for an update so I could pick it up, then finally just called on the phone at around 7 PM), and spoke with someone named SCOTT, who was extremely rude and annoyed with me for calling to ask about my package. He interrupted me asking to tell me they'd been "very busy", and when I tried to clarify that this is a service I pay monthly for and have had constant issues, he cut me off and said, "Well you can pick it up now if you want, but otherwise..." and then became very short with me. I'm leaving a review because I don't appreciate being spoken to like garbage when I feel I've been more than understanding about the REPEATED AND CONSTANT ISSUES I've had with this location for over a year. read more

Price: not bad Products: I used staples for the printing services. The business cards I've gotten here are on the thin side. I asked for thicker paper and they said the thicker ones have to be sent off and take over 1wk to be done. I still like my business cards but my hubby keeps telling me to get nicer ones. The online design tools were not too bad- lots of diff designs to choose from and pretty customizable. Actual print job: I printed flyers and the PDF proof showed everything looking perfect, NOT slanted and for some reason, it printed out slightly slanted (noticeable though!) which made me feel it didn't look professional. Really disappointing, considering I paid about $22 for 25 copies, so it was almost $1/ flyer, so I expected it to look like it was supposed to. I also thought it'd be borderless but had like 0.5cm white borders around it. I think next time I'll just print this at home on my color printer if it was going to come out looking not so professional anyway. The other annoying thing was that staples sent me a feedback form and I said I was unhappy it printed out slanted. Someone reached out to me, offered a refund, and re-print, but when I replied to that person 3d later (I was swamped at work and had a sick cat), they never replied. I've since reached out to that person 2 more times and silence, it's been over 2 weeks. So... empty promises which is even worse than no promises made in the first place. I think I'll see if Office Depot does better. I have also taken in an ink cartridge for recycling and cell phones for recycling and the man who helped me with that was very nice. Was doing an Amazon return. Gentleman helping the woman 2 in front of me was slower than molasses. Employee (Linda) came up and helped the woman in front of me, guy got done and went to the register to assist the person who had just walked up and then Linda went to help the other customer who had also just walked up. After about 3-4 minutes Linda said I'll be with you soon. I said that I'd been there way before those people and she said "they're paying customers". One of them should have stayed at the Amazon counter to assist myself and the woman behind me. Used to be much better service at this location. Finding office supplies at a retail store only gives you two major options; Office Depot/OfficeMax (which are now the same company) and Staples. I am someone who prefers shopping inside a brick-and-mortar store rather than online especially for the type of item I was shopping for, an office chair to complete our new computer and desk. This particular Staples is located directly on Sunrise Blvd. (north of Greenback Lane) and is on the northern end of the Sunrise Marketplace in Citrus Heights. It actually shares the parking lot with a Red Wing Shoes and other small retailers so parking has never been an issue when shopping here. In fact, of the half a dozen or so times I've been here, there hasn't been many customers inside of this actual store. The staff itself lacks any real customer service. I did get the "Hello, welcome to Staples" but not much else (at least from what I've experienced) when it comes to product knowledge. Since we were on a mission for a new office chair, we both manage to find all of the chairs with prices ranging from $49.99 all the way up to $279.99. We found one that looked modern and competitively priced, the "Vexa Mesh Office Chair" in an all black color. It was normally $109.99 but we scored it on sale for only $59.99. Since assembly was required, I managed to have the chair all put together in less than 20 minutes. As far as the prices go with copy paper, pens, folders, computer peripherals, and desks, Staples sells things a bit higher than what you'd find at a Walmart or Amazon. So do your research prior to coming here. Going back to the store itself, I miss the days when an employee knew the right answers to difficult questions. In past experiences, I've had employees not know the procedure of simple things such as sending a fax, customizing address labels, and refilling my printer ink. I guess it depends which staff members are fully trained but in this day in age where we rely on the websites and apps to help us out, finding top notch customer service is becoming increasingly difficult. Which is why I give the Citrus Heights Staples just an average three stars. read more

I needed a 3 copies of a very special letter my Dad wrote in 1985 . I walk in there is no one in the printing area he was on break . Two cashiers were doing nothing and said they could show me the copy machine . I said I would wait for the guy to get back from break . When he came back he said he would show me the copy machine I told him I wanted 3 copies and for him to copy them .He said well it costs way more . I paid 6.72 for 15 pages. I asked if he could staple them and he said he could but they charge for that.. I stapled them and left will never go back ever again. They need inservice in customer service. No one wants to wait on customers anymore.They might as well just have a copy machine and close that area. read more

Bought Epson Workforce Printer approximately 45 Days ago. Wasn't working right from the begging tried to trouble shoot it myself off and on. Turned out one the wheels in the scanner didn't turn. I went to see if it could exchange it. The manager with no hesitation told me since i didn't buy their extended warranty they could do nothing but recycle it and if I wanted any service i need to take it up with Epson. WOW. Ok my issue is with the staff and really the management. Every time I go into this staples I am treated as if I am going to steal something, it all started a few months back when I visited this staples to look at printers no big deal Iv been to this staples many times previously had no issues. Usually I spend a few hundred dollars when I go in as well. But this time there seemed to be a big problem tho Whst it was I have no idea. My friend and I where just looking around when I first noticed out of the corner of my eye that an employee was following us. I mentioned it to my buddy who says "I know". I won't lie that kinda upsets me but I just ignore it. Then this woman with grey hair who I later learned was the manager takes the place of the employee following us and this horrible woman would say any time we looked at an item "o that's in lock up". We just ignored her. A few times we asked for assistance from other employees of course and just tried to ignore the lady following us letting us know what was in lockup but every time we tried to get help this just awful woman would again say "that's in lock up" even tho our question was if the printer ink we where looking at was this special kind we where looking for. At that point I'd had enough and flipped out at the lady. I should also mention my buddy is African American and it was clear the woman was profiling us. My friend still was just ignoring her but I had never experienced anything like this and I was absolutely pissed. We walked in there with the intention of buying a new expensive printer and a few other items so the anf I had like $2000 on me in cash so just the fact she actually thought we where shoplifters is Ridiculous. The only reason like Literally only reason she was doing this is because my friend is black. When I stated she was being incredibly racist she then said no she wasn't racist she's just sure my friend was someone who had shoplifted from there before because he looked like that guy. Let me just say my friend lives in downtown and only started even coming to Citrus Heights because we started working together so it's highly unlikely my friend had ever even been in this particular staples before let alone stolen from there. When I asked him if the lady was right and he had indeed been that guy he stated definitely not. That day was the first day I'd experienced actual racism and let me tell you it was horrible. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before but the real sad part is is every store my friend and I went we'd get followed. Nothing even remotely as bad as the incident at staples but still clearly my friend and I where being profiled and. To this day it makes me physically sick thinking about it I never real understood what black people go thru just for being who they are on a daily basis and straight up it's fucking shitty. The reason Iv brought this all up even tho it happened a few months ago is because I went back into that staples the other day alone this time and I immediately started to be followed by an employee The employee was very polite and I'm sure just following instructions but later that day when I got home it reminded me of the incident from a few months ago and that upset me then and this most recent time upsets me now. Regardless of what the other reviews say, I had a phenomenal experience here. At this Staples store, I was treated well by the employees. They always tended to us and ask if we need anything. One particular experience is when a bearded employee offered to unlock the bathroom door for me, it was very nice of him. I called today regarding an order -Ashley a store associate hung up on me. When I called back, Ashley answered the phone, she was rude and argumentative. I asked for a manager -she said she was the manager. I asked to speak to the other associate - Ashley rudely said what are you outside looking into the store. I was hung up on again. I called back and Josh answered the phone. I asked for the manager's name, the district manager's name, the girl who kept hanging up on me, and his name. He said his manager would be soon - he asked me for my name and number. I am a business owner and would definitely retrain and if necessary look for new staff. I walked in randomly three weeks ago for a pen...A pen!.. and simply put, because of the AMAZING service their Manager Kayleina (apologies if miss spelled) provided, I decided then and there to bring all my printing for Personal and Business needs to them. A week later I walked in with about five different projects ready to go and that's when I met the astonishing Amelia working in the print section. Long story short, I wish I could hire her and people like her for my business. She was friendly, kind, communicative, empathetic, listened very well at what I wanted and how I saw the prints going. Then, when the ball was in her court, she took everything I brought in, all my ideas and suggested very well thought out intelligent ideas. We collaborated, took some chances and all my stuff came out much better for it. It takes a risk to get something printed because there are no garantes it will even come out. I spent hours upon hours developing my own logos, business cards and posters. I walked into Staples in Citrus Heights off of Sunrise with my dreams, an SD card and my fingers crossed. I walked out with 250 business cards, three posters, stickers with my label on it and 100% trust in this location.
