My low rating refers to only the PRICES of the Copy Center. The people are nice and professional, so this is not personal. I just had some resumes and cover letters printed up and requested two complete sets amounting to a total of maybe 18 sheets on medium grade resume paper. It shocked me to learn at checkout that I was charged nearly $25.00. The per sheet price was $1.19. I had to pick my jaw off the ground. I paid and left, but was stunned the remainder of the day. When I had to have revisions done, I decided to try an Office Depot instead. They were able to match perfectly the resume paper with laser-color printing and charge me a mere $0.15 per sheet--that's 15 CENTS. And, I must state, the results were better: the thick black bars on my resume header were deep and black, unlike the printing results at Staples where it looks like their cartridges needed to be changed pretty darn soon. So, the bottom line is: it is a great thing that Staples was NOT successful in its bid to buy out Office Depot. They need the competition to keep their ridiculous prices at bay. I will probably not shop at Staples again for anything without first checking Office Depot. read more

As a GM for Domino's I pick up office supplies regularly especially inc cartridges. Always in-stock! Especially the Manager Hovik B. Bad customer service in every aspect. I called to check if an item was in stock and had to wait over 15 minutes each time before hanging up and calling back. After the 3rd time someone finally answered. I gave the person the SKU number and they said they had 1 in stock. I asked them to place it on hold. They said sure it was no problem. Asked for my name and said it was good. Later, I drove to the store and waited over 20 minutes for them to tell me it was the wrong item and that they didn't have the item I was looking for... A complete waste of time. I would not bother shopping here again. read more

I bought a laptop from Staples store and i paid extra money for 3 years of warranty.my laptop screen got cracked and i went there to ask for a replacement of a new screen they denied me,but the seller who sold me the laptop,mentioned if i spill water on it or the screen get cracked they will provide me full service!But they are bunch of liars! I purchased a a nice photo quality printer for an upcoming project that did not come to pass so there was no reason to keep it. I returned it to the store before 30 days but was told that the UNOPENED device only had a 15 day return policy. Had I bought this from Amazon there would be no problem. There is no benefit to shopping at a "brick & mortar" store if they offer LESS than what is available online. Follow-up to Staples comment: Thank you for confirming why we should be shopping online with vendors who have a reasonable return policy. Your website explains that for electronic purchases between 11/20 & 12/25 the items may be returned until 1/15/18....and yet I was denied. read more

I don't know what it is, but I think the little note inside of me really loves office supplies. I always enjoy looking for coordinated sets of desk accessories. I am always sprucing up some little nook or cranny in the house. This time, I found some great storage items. Luckily, they were on sale. And on top of it, I had a coupon for $10 off of my next $40 purchase. With it being the new year, there are a number of calendars out on display. You have everything from wall calendars to huge desktop calendars, and even those small ones that are about the size of a checkbook. Of course, I had to grab one of those. There was a specific pen that I was searching for. I could not find it on the wall of writing instruments, but I also could not find anybody to assist me. I needed to fax some pages over to my insurance company as well, but there was no one to be found. Luckily, I know how to work a fax machine. So, I helped myself. I noticed that a number of my pages were stapled together, and of course that will not work well in the fax machine. So, I thought I might need to look for someone who worked in the copy, fax and print area who might be able to lend me a staple remover. Luckily, in the self-serve print and copy area, I was able to find the supplies on my own. When I was ready to check out, the cashier was very helpful. He keyed in my rewards number and all that good stuff. He even told me about their upcoming paper sale. That was very helpful to me, because during this trip, I needed to buy paper but did not because it was not on sale. Why pay more than a dollar so when they go on sale for so little. I could wait. I was not going to pay $5-$7 for one ream of paper. so, one star for telling me about the upcoming promotion that was actually helpful to me, and the other for having the supplies that I needed out and available although no one was able to actually help me behind the counter. In case you were wondering, parking is really easy. There's a huge lot there in the plaza. Staples is a little bit smashed in the corner there next to the Michaels arts and craft store and Payless shoe store. If you enter the plaza from Glendale Ave., Staples will be in the far upper left-hand corner on the top floor level. read more

I ended up at this print/copy center by default because the tiny Brand store sadly closed but recommend to: Avoid this location at any cost! Mesrop, who is rated positively in two other reviews was an absolute disaster in my case - messed up every component of my multi-item order: the way it was written up, the way it was charged, not getting an off-site fulfilled order in time to meet my deadline, not checking his spelling before printing out a banner for graphics design I was charged for, losing my file, not checking orders when they came in, and causing multiple unnecessary trips to come pick up my jobs because he messed them up so much. He seems to be talented in the area of graphic arts but should be kept away from the register and writing up orders. Gustavo Luna is the best Staples manager I've met - completely solutions oriented and customer-focused. He was empathetic and really tried to fix the disaster created by Mesrop. After promising the world about taking care of all the customers from Brand store who now moved over to this one, Jose Silva, on the other hand, did not follow through with one thing he promised to do - not one! I don't really understand how he made it to that position. Lauren (don't know her last name), deserves a gold medal, a promotion, and a raise. Gold medal for putting up with the "incompetents" she works with, a promotion for the maturity and critical thinking skills she demonstrates, and a raise because she does the work of 3 people. Move on, Lauren! You deserve better and are capable of so much more! Although I had little interaction with them, Manager Sarkis, and his leads Betty and Jasmine were also quite helpful and accommodating each time they needed to smooth over one of Mesrop's messes. read more

Unfortunately, this is the only office supply type store with a shipping center inside. There used to be an Office Depot who'd ship UPS / USPS. When that was demolished, my only option was Staples. It's so expensive vs Office Depot and Target when you're looking for office supplies. But also, Staples decided to drop USPS shipping. SERIOUSLY?! I was very upset to read the distasteful review written by "Beady Emme C." on the copy center gentleman named Mesrop. I am an Art Center student who has dealt with many, MANY employees from MANY different printing centers and can honestly say that Mesrop is the single best human being I have ever had the pleasure to work with on a project. Let me tell you, being a student at Art Center means three things: 1) I constantly have projects that need to be printed 2) I need them done fast 3) and I need the results to be impeccable. My school does not excuse poor quality and the level of my prints reflect directly on my image as a professional in the eyes of my teachers. After scouring the many printeries of the Pasadena area I finally ended up in Mesrop's capable hands and will never have to worry about where to get the best prints again. The first thing you will notice about Mesrop is his smiling eyes and shining personality. He navigates the labyrinth of the Staples Copy Center like a true veteran. He knows all the ins-and-outs of the machines and is able to handle them with superb dexterity. My school has their own printing center with state-of-the-art equipment, but the lines of students waiting during finals to have their exhibition pieces printed becomes daunting. After Mesrop saved me during finals rush I can happily say that the quality of my prints were on par with Art Center's and at a better cost. He not only got my work done fast and professionally, but he also went above the call of duty to help me mount them so that I made it in time for my show. Mesrop is as capable as they come. He is not only adept at using the machinery of the Staples Center, but also at using an array of complex designing softwares. He has an impeccable sense of design and wonderful communication skills. He really is the whole package and, although he is sure to move on to bigger and better things in the future, for now I am selfishly taking advantage of having such a talented young man working with such dedication at a printing center so close by. To the unfortunate Ms. Beady: I would honestly like to know the other side of the story. If the Staples center could not complete your order then I am sure you were a big part of the problem. Mesrop is the most capable and professional Staples employee I have ever met, if you had a bad experience with him I can only imagine how difficult a customer you must be. Also, a big shout out to Jennifer who also works at the Copy Center. I have had the pleasure of seeing her and Mesrop working together to get a job done for me and can honestly say that the way these two coexist while doing work brightens my day. read more

Ordering Staples online is a catch 22, if you use a gift card. Staples weekly ad shows a sale on Micro SD cards. I look up the Glendale store website and stock level shows 2 in stock. I order online to pick up in-store using my Staples gift card and credit card. My order is not accepted due none in stock, so I call the Glendale store where it is confirmed that they 4 in stock the store manager tells me I am able to pick up this product. Since my order was scratch initially I am unable to get this product. But yet my gift card and credit card has been charged. I call customer service and these geniuses tell me it will be 10 working days that all charges will reversed at this point, I have charges on my credit card and a zero balance on my gift card and the product that WAS on sale will return to regular price. WOW. its just that easy. read more

I am very disappointed with this Staples. They don't seem to see the whole picture when customers come in with projects. I'm guessing that the employees need better training or they need to be paid more. I came in today to get some double sided postcards to be printed and they were done wrong. Before they were printed, I looked at the proof with an employee. The front and backside were correct . However when they were printed, the backside was off center and they cut all 100. I am wondering why the person who printed the cards didn't check to see that the back was aligned before cutting all 100. It's a waste of the store's time and customer time to continue working on a project that is done wrong. It's a waste of paper to create something that the customer doesn't want. I think the employees here don't care about building relationships with customers. I don't want to come back to this store after this. I've wasted 4 hours of my time and I'm very unhappy with the product they just gave me. read more

As a regular client of this Staples I have always had a good experience. Today, my experience was excellent. The customer service provided by Gustavo Luna was phenomenal. I brought my broken printer in not understanding the warranty return process and his team truly bent over backwards to make the experience as painless as possible. They assisted me with contacting the proper department for the return and even helped troubleshoot the problem. I'm the end HP decided I would get a replacement printer at no cost. I had purchased their 3 year extended warranty and am grateful for the recommendation as I do not have to worry if my printer breaks or needs service. I highly recommend this store as the employees are wonderful since they care so much and are extremely knowledgable. Thank you Gustavo Luna and your wonderful team! read more

I came here to print some documents and was bummed when only half of my documents downloaded to the email. Ani was amazing and was able to help me figure out a way to download the documents so that I wouldn't need to come back again to have them printed. She was extremely helpful and patient. She was also able to make some recommendations on the best type of paper for my project. I will definitely go back here again to have Ani help me with my next printing job. read more

I bought a Staples gift card thinking I could use it for cash. The guy stood their as I was buying it knowing full well I wanted to use it for cash but never informed me at that time that not only I can't but that it is non-refundable and cannot be used to buy any other gift cards. It's in the "fine print", that you need an electron microscope to read. Once I realized my mistake I tried appealing to this company, including their corporate office, to reverse the charges and got nowhere. I'm still waiting for the VP to return my call after numerous messages. Now I'm stuck with their sucky gift card. They claim they are all about customer service and relations but that's a lie. Their a bunch of money grubbers and their company SUCKS. If there is any way of avoiding shopping here just our of principle, do so - use Office Depot instead if you can. read more

To make the story short, I walk in there with my old ink in hand and the cashier tried to help me with the model but he couldn't open the case that ink was in there and finally he broke it( why on earth you touch something that you have never worked with)??? He called in the manager and I told her that I am going to another store to buy the ink and if they say you have to replace the broken case then you guys have to pay it and the store manager said ok. I went to another store and brought the ink and the case since they said you have to change it. Went back to staples with the invoice and they only wanted to give me almost half the price that I bought because they had it on sale on online store and not the money only gift card but I was still losing about 50$ for something that they damaged, the store manger realized the situation and gave me gift card for full price( I could give her 4 star in customer service) but the cashier who damaged the ink case was running after her and telling her do not pay him full price.amazing customer service!!! If I ever go back there it's only because of Jasmin the store manager. Could somebody tell me what is wrong with this company? I stop by today to buy a iPad which they didn't had it in store, the helpful employees ordered it online and I paid for it with credit card and gift card and they said I will have it in 2 days.
