It took me a while to write this review. Let me start off by saying that I hate to shop hate it. I need to get some school supplies for my grandson who started kindergarten. So I went into store #1302 a few months ago to get those supplies didn't really now where to start. So I had went up to the counter to ask a question hoping maybe someone would help me get in and out fast. A very nice woman Joy ask if she could help me as I was explaining to her my situation this other lady that seem to be her boss. Keep rudely interrupting me while I was talking to her this other woman kept asking her question. Like I said it wasn't easy for me to go in there I was feeling really good about it until I was disrespected . Don't understand how u can have someone so nice and helpful as Joy then have someone act that way... I happen to be passing by the store on Tuesday morning a month or so later so I gave it a shot and went in. I could not believe it but there was Joy working alone. So it did look like she was a little busy but she was treating the other customers like they where the only one in there. So about 15 minutes or so I came bk up front and Joy had ask me if I needed any help. I explain to her what I needed... Not only did she help me but she stay with me until I was done getting what I needed. I think she could see I was not a shopper or all the questons i was asking... I don't know if my review will ever get read but Staples u are very lucky to have Joy working in your store.. I will continue coming there because of Joy. Thank U read more

I received great service this week from Heather. She was super friendly and easy to work with. I told her what type of project I wanted and she quickly helped me order the correct sizing and prints. Everytime I go in there I look forward to seeing Heather. She has made every single one of my visits to Staples easy and enjoyable. She's very accommodating and knowledgeable. Incredibly sweet and very patient. I use to hate going to Staples because I had no idea how to work the copying machines. She was gracious enough to give me her email address so all I have to do now is email her what I need before I go in and it's ready to go for me. There online store says they had a backpack in stock and that it would be ready in an hour. I live in Maui and my daughter lives in Huntington Beach. I ordered it 12pm HST and 3pm PST. My daughter was so excited that when my daughter got there they starred at my daughter and turned her away because they were false advertising that they had it in stock. My daughter went home crying because she wanted this backpack. How could this store be so dishonest? How could they false advertise items that they don't have. It's been up on their website for weeks and they don't have it!!! That's really messed up for them to false advertise and just stare at my daughter and just turn her away like a ruthless a-holes. I will not recommend shopping online for this store. Also the manager was trying so hard to talk to me like he is a headmaster of the store. Just cause I'm a woman don't mean you got to talk like I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. No man will talk to me like that! I hope staples fix this and fix the online store and that manager! Yorktown Store manager in Huntington Beach better learn how to talk correctly because one day someone out there in California will put you in your place and it will probably be another woman. I joined Yelp to post this review. My experience was that bad. It started with this Sunday morning's flyer in which I found a decent price on an item I had been seeking. Wonderful. I went on the 'Net and found that the manufacturer offered the same item for $10 less, free shipping, direct from the on line store. Also wonderful. After stopping at Dick's on Edinger I hit the Bella Terra store. After some waiting the youngster told me that the item in "the back" was damaged (they of course stock only one!). Said youngster called the Yorktown store to verify the stock shown on the store inventory computer screen (they too had only one!). After almost ten minutes of dialing, and redialing, someone answered the phone and eventually confirmed that the item was in stock and undamaged. Not so wonderful, but acceptable. I got to the Yorktown store, finding it nearly devoid of customers (it was still early) and filled with employees - yet no one would answer the phone! Two employees redirected my questions to the Tech Desk, where I was intercepted by yet another employee. He in turn found the "Manager" (Team Lead?) who then eventually retrieved the item. Off to remit some funds! I asked if Staples honored Internet pricing, and was assured that they did indeed do so. The "Manager" began to ring up my purchase and told me the advertised price, of which I was aware as I had the flyer with me. I asked for the Internet price discount. I was asked to provide "proof". ? What ? When I asked where I could access the 'Net, she pointed me to the notebooks on display and said I could try to get on line there as she could not do so (BTW: As bad as Fry's can be sometimes, they will look up the Internet price for you). Of course none of the computers on display could get on line. She then told me to use my "smartphone" (what?). This adventure began at about 10 in the morning, at the BT store. I turned into my driveway at a little before 11. Without the item. I will buy it somewhere else. Neither store is more than 1 mile from my home. As far as I am concerned both stores can be on the Moons of Barsoom for I will NEVER shop any Staples again. Ever. Off my list. Thank you Yorktown Staples. I come here at least once a week for my small business. (Oftentimes a few times a week.) I am greeted at the door each time I enter and asked if I need any help finding anything. I usually tell them what I need and they tell me or show me exactly where it is. It saves a lot of time. This store is very slow so I always get personal attention. They are great! read more

i needed to send a fax and was in the neighborhood so i stopped in. they have a little fax station so i walked up, read the instructions and got the job done. one fax was about $1.70 so it was a minimal charge. easy peasy. read more

Went in today around 11 am to get a copy made. No one behind the copy counter, after 10 minutes the person in line in front of me asked the cashiers if anyone can help us, their reply was" someone will be right there" 15 minutes later the copy girl walks back in with her lunch break beverage in her hand and asks what she can do for me, I told her that I just needed a copy of a architectural project drawing shrunk down to a smaller size. She says" I can do it but you will not get it back until 830 pm. I told her that my daughter had to turn this project in at 4pm and asked if she could do it sooner to which she replied that she couldn't. She had to make copies in the order that they arrive. I left and went to FedEx copy store and they took care of me in 5 minutes. NEVER AGAIN STAPLES!!! Worst customer service experience EVER! read more

I have shopped here many times through the years and have mostly had good experiences. I was disappointed today when I asked for help finding something after searching the entire store. The cashier called someone. After about ten minutes the cashier said someone would be right with me. After another 10 minutes I left. I went to my car and ordered what I needed online. read more

This review is for Angel in the copy center. She was awesome! She helped me a few weeks ago print out a few hundred copies of things I needed for my wedding invitations. She was very patient and friendly even though she was swamped. Great customer service is hard to find these days and she had it. Despite them seeming to be short staffed I think she was doing a great job! read more

I have been back to the store numerous times for a promised refund on a $50 gift card. I have been promised a phone call over and over but he never calls me and never takes care of the problem. I really did not want to write a bad review of a business, and have actually never done this before. It's a long story, but truly it's obvious he has no intention of taking care of this problem. I have patiently waited for 6 months and have seen him in the store and told him I am still "waiting" and he does nothing! The clerks are very nice at this store and they do a very good job in the project area, but I am not at all impressed with the management. read more

I had a border print ordered for my friends 70th Bday which was ordered at the store in Bella Terra. Unfortunately their laminating machine broke and so John at the Bella Terra Store was kind enough to call the order over to the the Store on Yorktown for printing...I ordered it in plenty of time and was quoted a price which was to be honored by the Yorktown store. I called a few days ago and talked to Nikki who said the order wasn't ready yet but it would be ready by the weekend. I called today and talked to Angel who told me they were not going to honor the price quoted by the other store. I explained to her that I was quoted and had the order in front of me and she refused to honor the price. Because of Angel and her attitude, the order is cancelled and I will take my business to Kinkos. Not a good person to have on your team Staples. read more

If I could put a -1 star rating I would. What a HORRIBLE store with even worse customer service. Both times I went in for a printing job and the girls there have a TERRIBLE attitude. Finally a girl broke away and acted like it was the pinnacle of my existence for her to help me. Nice location, pretty store, and they got it all. But damn this place gets a bad rap for its customer service. Seems like every time I go in it's the most unhelpful employees ever (and I'm definitely not a rude customer). There were a few exceptions where I got this AWESOME cashier with a beard, super friendly, funny, and knew how to talk to people. A complete fail from a customer service standpoint and retail shopping experience. I entered the store at 8:40 pm to purchase items for a presentation my team was performing the following morning. But as I'm selecting such items as the presentation folders, the lights go dim at 8:45 pm and I hear the scissor gates closing at the front of the store. I found a floor employee and asked if they close at 8:45 he said no. I asked why then turn of the lights so customers can't see what they need to purchase? He says, I don't know... I asked him if he could turn them on as I couldn't see anything. He says, are you serious? Yes! He says, Okay I'll see what I can do. After five minutes of using the light from my iPhone, I went up front and saw that the employee was closing up. I asked if he tried to get the lights on and he said, nope. I asked for the manager, which said there was nothing he could do because the lights are on a timer. I asked if he could or would assist me as the items I needed were for an important presentation. He said because it was about 8 minutes from closing he couldn't assist. I said I am asking for you to provide some solution. No help. Epic fail! I have spent a great deal of money personally through purchasing computers, tablets, printers, office furniture, and supplies at Staples. This pails in comparison to the amounts of money I approve for purchases at Staples for the offices I manage. Note to Staples: consumers come to you for products and service delivered with reliability and consistency. Train your people and set up your stores to provide your valuable customers (all are valuable) with the experience they deserve. If you want to close down your stores earlier then posted, then let your customers know that they will be welcomed by poor conditions and employees and mangers that have already clocked out. You are in an arena that has many competitors and you need us more than we need you. I will now take my personal business and corporate account elsewhere. read more

I came in with my kids and watched Dale help an elderly man get his wallet out of his pocket, wring up his purchase. Then Dale put his stuff away for him. Very tender sweet guy. Dale then assisted me and my kids with the same courteousness. Dale is very professional. read more

Customer Service at this store is horrible. I went in to buy some supplies for my charity work and was not given a receipt. When I asked the sales clerk for the receipt he told me he was sorry the machine didn't give one. When I insisted I needed one he stated he couldn't do it right now because he was waiting on the next customer and he called his manager over. The manager said he was doing something else right now and couldn't help me for 10 minutes and then said I needed to show an ID to prove I bought the supplies. I said that was stupid because I had not even left the cash register lane and he got very obnoxious and walked away. I then said, forget it I will just never be back and left the store. read more

I went in for a second time to print images on water decal paper and received the WORSE customer service I have ever experienced in my WHOLE LIFE. It is unbelievable how badly the workers treated me as a customer, even when I asked for the manager, she was just as rude and unhelpful as the other workers. I had come into staples a week earlier to get the same print job done that I wanted to do that day. The first time I went to print my images on my water decal paper, the woman working the printer area had put my paper through the wrong printer two times and had therefore completely ruined my expensive paper not once, but TWO times (i was not reimbursed for the ruined paper). After that, she went over to a different printer and finally the images had successfully transferred onto my paper. So I came in again on 09/20/13 for the second time to print more images on water decal paper. I had undergone the process of printing on this paper before and insisted that I use the printer that would correctly transfer my images onto the paper. But a different printer woman as well as a man helping her had refused to listen to me and insisted that they put my paper through the same printer that messed up my expensive paper like before. I had shown them proof of what the printer that they wanted to use did to my paper, yet they continued to deny my access to use the printer that actually works. I continued to insist that the printer they wanted to use would ruin my expensive paper and the women rudely stated, "Then don't print." After that, I left staples because I couldn't believe she was so rude as to tell me to not print when I came in to staples for that service! I came back a few hours later because I needed my images to be printed, I asked to talk to the manager. I was very surprised to see how young the manager at staples was compared to the printer women. After the surprise, the manager refused to hear MY side of the story, the CUSTOMER'S thoughts about the problem and insisted on listening only to the rude printer women. I insisted that the printer women did not know that the printer she wanted to use did not work on my paper and even showed her the ruined paper that had happened the week before. The manager ignorantly concluded that all the printers were the same, and that it was not possible for me to print my images. The manager came to this conclusion without fully hearing my side of the story and my previous experience on how to successfully transfer the images. She then said, "I'm going to have to ask you to leave". Taken aback and appalled, I was gathering my things to leave the store but then the manager continued to add inappropriate commentary like, "Yeah, get all of your stuff", "Pick up all of your paper and get out", and "Don't forget to get your USB and leave". I honestly can't believe how Staples hired such an unexperienced girl to be the manager. She obviously has no experience on how to deal with customers in a polite and helpful way, and instead showed her obvious disinterest in listening to what customers have to say and a disdain for helping customers and dealing with problems in general. After I left, I forgot my car keys in Staples and had to re-enter in order to get my keys. The manager hostilely went after me and the friends who came in with me, saying "you can't be in here, get out". I told her that I needed to get my car keys and she told all the workers "these girls can't come in here again, do not ever let these girls come in here". And fine, we will never come to Staples ever again. I would never want to step into that overpriced place full of unhelpful and rude workers. IF YOU EVER NEED TO GET YOUR IMAGES PRINTED GO TO FED EX/ KINKOS INSTEAD THEY ARE SO MUCH MORE HELPFUL AND ACCOMMODATING. read more

My mom actually recommended I come here. I am still here at the counter, after waiting 20 minutes and not one employee has acknowledged me. I'm trying to send a package out and staples it the last place I want to be at 8pm on a Tuesday. After I get my package out, I am never coming here again. Horrible, horrible service. read more

Service here is awful. Asked for assistance, the clerk seemed annoyed I even asked a question, when I asked if he was too busy his response was "well I guess". Hire people who make a difference to your organization because there are plenty of options to shop for your products. I will never come here again just because service is awful. read more
