This review is specifically for their print center. SUPER UNHELPFUL. If you absolutely need to be frustrated by poor customer service, Printers that are offline and ridiculously long wait times then this is your spot! I came in to print four (4) 8.5x11 .PDF's and the lady working the "Print Center" stated that she could not print them out for me. I would have to wait until the next day. F THAT. I was then directed to their self service machines. Ok, better than waiting a whole day for 4 prints right? WRONG. 1 machine was down leaving 1 printer for the whole business to operate on. Luckily, the guy who was printing a bootleg copy of war and peace had just finished his 800 page print and he let me use the ONLY PRINTER AVAILABLE IN A "PRINT CENTER". Just let that last line soak in for a second... OK, I'm in front of a machine that prints, I just saw the novel that the previous guy printed right? WRONG. The machine would not read my USB drive. The same USB drive that I literally used 5 minutes prior because I uploaded the 4 .PDF's that I needed to print on it. I was getting frustrated. so I kindly asked the lady if she could take a look. She surmised that the USB was faulty. I was like "look, I just used this USB drive 5 minutes prior because I uploaded the 4 .PDF's that I needed to print on it". I felt like I was repeating myself... At any rate, this reminded me of Dave Chapelle's "POP Copy" skit from his show. Avoid the frustration and either go to Kinko's or replace your broken printer so you don't have to deal with this.

Finding honest people is becoming more and more difficult. I needed a new office chair for my home office. I went to Staples in Novato and picked out the chair I wanted. While checking out, I was asked if I wanted to purchase a warranty for my chair. It was only nineteen dollars, give or take a few cents. I asked if the chair came with a warranty, and if so, why would I need to buy an additional warranty. We are all used to sales clerks trying to upsell warranty, and usually, I say no. But the clear was a bit aggressive, saying that if the chair has a problem, I bring it back to the store for a new one... When I asked if the chair had a warranty, the sales clerk stated that it did not. One of the reasons I picked the specific chair was the price tag spelled out the warranty. So I went back to the part of the store where the chairs were and took a picture of the warranty information. A Gal followed me back to the chairs and watched as I took the picture. She may have been the manager and tried to tell me about the store warranty plan. I showed the image to the clerk; then the Gal took over my transaction. Clearly, both people were caught in a lie. The sales clerk stated that the chair warranty was a limited warranty and would not cover scratches. When the receipt came out of the printer, the manager Gal ripped off the bottom. I didn't think much of it at the time until I got home and found that she had ripped off the part of the receipt asking for a review of my experience at the store. Really amazing. I guess they didn't want my review. Please let's change the retail world and ask people to be honest. Tom

Zac ... a very personable and resourceful manager.

I had first gone to Staples in Petaluma and was put off by the rude and indifferent person staffing the print department there.

Honestly, they are very honest and friendly. I'll definitely go back there every time I need to fix my phone or any other device. If I had gone anywhere else, they definitely would've charged me just for the update.

Many times this shop has been just the right help at the right price and time. During floods my friend's iPhone fell into a big mud puddle and got run over. Brought it in and they gave it a going over and determined it was a goner. Luckily, they had a used / refurbished phone available within the budget during a difficult time. Next was a MacBook Pro that needed a battery. Their testing confirmed the battery was bad and the charging adapter defective. Continued use of the defective charger would damage the new battery so it too was also replaced. The screen is damaged so they looked up the availability of a replacement and could get one though we opted not to do it at the time. Replaced an iPhone battery and got it checked thoroughly as it had some damage. They put it under the microscope to see if anything important was damaged or if it went through to the PCB board and it was ok. Big relief, just a battery swap. At a different time it acted like the charging port was dead so got it checked and hopefully fixed. He took it to the bench to inspect it. Turned out to be pocket lint / fluff blocking the contacts in the port he easily cleared and handed it back. We all laughed. A Galaxy Watch that was a gift the charging contact separated from the back. Wasn't sure it could be salvaged or repaired and brought it in. He put it under the microscope and saw a lead was nicked, but it was ok. He reattached / glued the contact back on free. Thanks for all the times they helped, advised, repaired, and came through for us and if / when needed in the future.
