Unfortunately, there is not an option for "no stars" for my experience at Staples. I went to Staples this past Monday to purchase sheet protectors. I was the only customer in the store at 2:00 pm. There were two sales staff behind the register area, and both were talking about how to ring something up. I waited patiently with my daughter. A couple of minutes passed and I still had not been greeted by either of them. A sales staff from the copy center came over to ask one of the others how to do something and he actually left without acknowledging me, without even a sideways glance in my direction. My daughter looked at me and she was confused as to why we still had not been assisted. Even the other person behind the register looked at the one who had just left and he seemed confused as to why he didn't ring me up. I decided at this point that my money just wasn't good enough for Staples, so I put down the package of page protectors, and as we walked out of the store the remained salesperson said, "Sorry about that." I should have read the reviews about their screen repairs before coming in. My iPhone screen was cracked so I came in here right as the store opened and dropped off my phone. About three hours later I was notified that my phone was ready for pick up. On first sight, it looked fine. Shiny and new. But then I start flipping through it and the interface is noticeably different. The screen has an odd blue tint and as I scroll through web pages, there's a noticeable blur. I let the tech rep know and he tells me to come back in 10 minutes when the guy who "fixed it" comes back from lunch. I come back and he's dealing with a complaint from a customer who is unhappy about a laptop repair. After waiting a while, the rep looks at my phone and says it looks normal. I tell him the color is off and he says it looks normal to him. "We've never had an issue with that before." He says he can replace it "in case it's defective" but it looks normal to him and probably won't change anything. He tells me to take it home, use it, and if it still feels off, to bring it back and he'll replace it. I take it home, compare it against other phones, and it's very obvious there's a color difference. This is also when I begin noticing the blurriness and issues with responsiveness. I call the store and tell the manager I'm really not happy with the end product and I don't want to spend another 3 hours waiting for another repair. He tells me it will take 1.5 hours this time. I don't have time for that - as part of my job, I need to color correct images on my phone constantly. I work an hour away, so I can't drop it off and pick it back up at the end of the night. Since Sunday was the only day I could get it fixed in time for work, my only option is to get a new phone on Monday morning. I ask for a refund and he tells me I can come in, get the cracked screen re-replaced and then he'll give me a refund. That's beyond ridiculous - they botched the repair, wasted 4 hours of my time, and think a refund and a broken screen are the answer? He kept insisting that no one had ever had an issue with their phone repair service, when clearly people have complained about it on here. The solution was beyond absurd. If you ever have a cracked iPhone screen, take it to the Apple store. Staples either uses a sub-par replacement screen or their technicians don't know how to apply it properly. In any case, don't count on them to fix it. Your electronics or their screw-ups. read more

I regularly go to Staples when I want high quality printing! Their self-service printers are quick and easy to use. However, yesterday morning I was having trouble with one of them. Maggie or Maddie (I believe was her name) in the printing section noticed and did not hesitate to help me. When the printer continued to take long, she got my prints printed out quickly despite it looking like she was working on many other things and helping other customers. Went to staples for a obituary print job. The young guy that helped me was great. I told him what I needed, he set everything up and I paid. When I asked when it would be done, he said it would be done by 1:30, the next day. I returned the next day and the young lady that was there told me that she hadn't started the print job and it wasn't suppose to be done until the following evening. I told her it was suppose to be done by 1:30 that day. She then asks me do I want a refund. She didn't even TRY to work on my order, work something out or nothing. But if I would like a refund! Rude... Rude... Rude... instead of raising hell, like I wanted to. I took my refund and vowed to never shop at Staples again. Fed ex completed my Obituary order, with no problems!! Be aware unless you BUY a warranty staples is useless. You get NO WARRANTY what so ever on stuff you buy there. Most places you can buy an "Extended" warranty which extends the basic warranty. But at staples if you buy something unless you purchase a warranty you have NOTHING. I will never shop there again, that is absurd. read more

Staples Copy & Print: Fail. (Credit: Lauren) To date, I've had a great experience @ this Staples since relocating from South Orange County. In the office supply business, Staple is number one in the game & from my experience, I'd have to agree. I have been to this particular location numerous times, purchasing a four drawer filing cabinet, office supplies, to cases of paper & the service has always been great but today... Well, just let me say, "WTH?!" I have worked in the copy/print industry for 15 plus years, ranging from Kinkos, now FedEx Office to Office Max Impress. Currently, I mostly work w/offset printers but on occasion use the local copy shops for client proofs or small runs. Today, I sent over a very simple job, basic PDF file, full color, single sided, legal, 24# laser paper, 3 prints... 'Easy enough. (The only question one would have when printing a PDF file is "Fit to print," or "Print @ actual size," which in this case was of no consequence. Easy pah'cheesy, right?!... Wrong. (Insert buzzer sound here) As I picked up the job, the file was cropped off, leaving about 2" of white space on each side of the 8 1/2" x 14" print out. This is not what I wanted to show to my client... After all, the file was set up correctly & should've have printed about 1/8" from the edge, all around. (Copiers can not produce a full bleed due to the equipment's limitations. The only way to achieve a full bleed would require printing on ledger, 11" x 17", then trimming back to the image.) Full bleed: When the image prints to the very edge of the paper. I asked Kayla about my file not printing correctly which is when Lauren interjected. Now, I do appreciate the very proactive approach versus everyone just standing around with their hands in their aprons.... 'BUT if you're going to give me an answer, have one that isn't full of crap. (Did I mention that I have a bit of background in copy & print?) Lauren insisted that it was my file that was incorrectly set up... 'That's funny, as I just printed the SAME FILE the previous day @ FedEx Office & it printed perfectly This was my first time working with the Staple's Copy Center since moving to the area, I sent the same file on the same day to FedEx Office just across the street... I wanted to compare the two shops & experience. Fail. 'Not everyone is going to have all the answers BUT you're first default reply shouldn't be to blame the client with the "It's YOUR fault," answer. I felt like I was on the set of the Chapelle Show doing POP Copy - Part Deux... 'And that's not the best part, the kicker was that Lauren DID NOT KNOW what Adobe Acrobat was?! "What?!!" Really?! It makes me wonder on how anything ever gets printed with her manning the queue... "Ouch, painful." Here's someone that by my guess wasted a decent amount of time & paper printing something that should've just took one shot... 'If Staples sold scrap paper or pads of "bunk," then Lauren's position might be justified. I eventually made my way behind the counter, the proper tray was selected BUT not the correct paper set up. So, the file was printing on legal paper but not as 8 1/2" x 14" but rather letter, 8 1/2" x 11". Like I said earlier, stuff happens, not everyone has all the answers BUT don't have a smug, I am the queen of copiers attitude when you have no damn clue what the hell you are doing... It's that simple. If she had taken a moment to get off her high chair, put down her "baba," & wear her big girl pants, it would've been no worries... 'BUT instead, she wanted to argue with me about something, unfortunately for her that I had a bit of a clue about. Go figure. Attention Lauren: 'Not everyone that walks into your shop is oblivious to the copy/print process... 'Take note & don't be an @ss/bully with your clientele when YOU could possibly be wrong or mistaken. (You may actually have repeat business.) Kayla, the young lady who was ringing up my job was great. When I initially inquired about the mistake, she had no attitude, no problems... 'However, Lauren is a different matter. 'As a former Fedex Office Asst Manager, please tell me she's NOT your lead?... How can you have someone leading the team if she does not even know what Adobe Acrobat is?... 'Let alone, how to pull up the "rulers," in the application?... (Sigh) After leaving Staples, I zipped across the street to FedEx Office to pick up the exact same job. (Well, I had requested 32# laser paper vs. 24#.) 'And it was done exactly as it should've been... In fact, FedEx Office was out of 32# legal, so it was ran on 32# ledger them trimmed back to 8 1/2" x 14", resulting in a full bleed. In summary: 1. Self-serve copiers do not have USB ports for flash drives; bummer 8/ 2. Lauren has no business being in the copy/print department I gave Staples Copy & Print Center a fair shot, hoping for the best on something as basic as one file, full color, three simple outputs only to be fantastically disappointed. - Ahhh'loha! read more

I come to this standard big box office store for work supplies on a regular basis. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the store is normally not very crowded as well. My only complaint would be that if your looking for toner cartridges you will probably have to ask for help since a lot of them are in the unreachable high shelf area. read more

I stopped off at 10 am on a Saturday morning, Celeste the cashier was very friendly and helpful and had Brian the manager helped me. Had to track him down since everyone was helping customers even that early in the day. The xD flash memory was out of stock on the shelf so Brian ordered it online and waived the shipping fee with his special manager key code, to ship it to my home. Would take around a week to get to me. I am fine with that. On the Staples website, you have to buy $50 worth of items to get free shipping, my item was $35. So I am pleased. read more

Several employees and assistant managers standing around shooting the breeze, doing completely nothing while I wait for a print tech to help me. ***CAUTION*** Do not have phone repairs done here. Go to Apple Store or use insurance! So I call around 6pm and ask if they do in-house phone repairs. "Yes" screen for an iPhone 6+ in stock? "Yes". Can you get it done tonight? "Yes". Awesome. These people are rock stars.... Dun dun dun... Couldn't have been more wrong. Show up around 630 and go back to the repair center. Guy checks my phone. Verifies everything works aside from a demolished screen. Quotes me on the screen. Up sells me a liquid screen good for two phones. I specifically mention it's getting expensive and if there's going to be surprises I have insurance and I'm happy to use it. No need he tells me. Screen is guaranteed and it'll be done when you get back. Fiancé and I leave both phones there (so hers can have liquid done too) and head to the gym letting them know we will be back around 8-815. Return at 815 and as I approach the counter he says "just the guy I wanted to talk to." Great. What's wrong? "So when your screen cracked it ruptured your battery." "Okay. Put it back together and I'll use insurance." "Well I already installed the new screen so you have to buy a new battery or I can secure the screen but it will have a purple pressure mark in the center from the battery." Hold on... WHAT?!?! So you do this for a living. You opened my phone. Somehow overlooked a clearly damaged battery... And then proceeded to install a screen that isn't refundable!?!!! Could you be worse at your job? And your recourse is I can STILL have a messed up screen for $150+. He probably saw the smoke blowing out of my ears but didn't seem to care much. Then he puts icing on the cake: "besides your Apple warranty is already voided by the new screen and I'll discount the battery 50%." Now I'm fuming... And really what are my options?!?! He starts telling BS stories about his dirt bike riding and racing days. Yeah right. Besides, honestly I could care less. I'm there till after 9 watching him fumble with the phone and poorly install a battery that is already losing power WAY faster than my original. STAPLES: TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES AND LET THEM PRACTICE ON THEIR OWN PHONES. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GENERAL EXPERIENCE IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME. I've been in the engineering field over 15 years. He should have mentioned the screen voiding my warranty UPFRONT and reassembled the phone immediately upon seeing the battery damaged so I could turn it into insurance and get a phone WITH A MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY! I didn't go there to save money, I just wanted to break even and keep my phone. Instead I spent almost $100 more than my deductible. Thanks you moron. I'm at staples as we speak and my mom and I asked an employee three times to help us. Each time he said he would come in I moment. When we went to ask again, HE WAS PUTTING ITEMS BACK ON THE SHELVES. Then he finally came, we asked a question, he didn't know and said he would go ask about it. We waited some more, my mom went to see what was going on and guess what?? He was helping another customer!! He finally came back and answered our question, we expected him to continue helping us bit he walked off. My mom had it and complained to another sales associate. This woman though, was the nicest, sweetest little woman EVER. Even though she admitted that she couldn't help us, she stayed with us until someone who could help us came. I've been in this store a few times before, and never experienced the type of service I received today. Since I am moving in a few days, I had to get some banker boxes for my important papers/documents. I was greeted by a friendly cashier girl when I walked in. I quickly grabbed my boxes and a file folder and proceeded to checkout. The female cashier was now busy with a customer...and continued to help her for over 10 minutes. A male employee showed up at the cashier desk, but he helped a lady who had arrived AFTER me!! (This other customer came in the store and waited in line behind me, then left. While I was still standing in line waiting to be rang up, this customer had sought help from a male store employee.) The male employee proceeded to ring up this woman's order while I was still waiting in line...now going on 15 minutes! I should've just left the store & drop the items on the floor!! The female clerk was still helping the other customer. When the male finished helping the other female customer with her ink cartridge purchase, he called me up to be rang up. I told him that was the LONGEST time I EVER waited in a line, and that I was there long before the other female customer..and she knew it. This is all during the COVID virus, so I didn't like waiting longer than necessary. The male clerk should've rang me up first since I was waiting in line for so long. Please please please!!! Ensure if you have ANY printing to do... You DONT do it here!!! Not only did I come to them and ask about paying for my purchases with my printing and I was lied to BUT... Then I was told for a simple few pages it would be 6 hours before I could pick it up!!! When I was pointed (not helped AT ALL) to the "self-serve" I was ripped off on the fact that I was charged $6.47 for the 7 minutes it took me to get my pictures and documents set for print along with the fact that the computer I was working with over sized my printing automatically and left out 4 of the pages. Remember everyone.... I came for 50 pages max! I'm leaving with 4!!! For $6.47 and I can use only ONE of them!!! Wow!!! Purchased a printer online using my staples account and paid for with my stored company card. Asked for pick up at my local store. Told the system when it asked who would be picking up the item that it was my employee picking up, gave the name. I emailed her the confirmation as she was out and about. She gets there to pick up and they say her name is not on order. I said I am not sure why as I typed it in when asked. They said that I will have to pick it up. I said that it silly. Asked if I could fax or email my driver's license. Manager Adam said no. He said I had to go online and cancel order and then re-enter it and put it under my employee's name. Ridiculous to put me thru all of that but fine. I went onto my online Staples account, found the order, selected "return the item", and lo and behold, it shows my employee's name and phone number associated with the order. I call Manager Adam and tell him. He tells me too bad that it doesn't show on his end so I still have to do it over. I asked if he was a Manager as I wanted to speak to one. He said he was the Manager. I told him that he wasn't a very good one as he was not making even the slightest effort to make this easier nor did he seem to care that I was a local business that has done YEARS of business there. Then, he then hung up on me. THEN, the system would not allow me to cancel or return the original order that he wouldn't let my employee pick up. Now I have two charges. Not good customer service. Should not be this difficult. Your job, Mr. Manager, Adam, is to help solve problems, not further create problems. We have choices about where to buy office supplies and electronics. Limited self-service and a minimum of 4 hours to have anything done by their print center. I had a small task that could have been done in 2 mins, no one else in the store, and no one working in the print center. Two clerks in front. Would they help me? Nope. "Come back in 4 hrs." Update: Just went back today and the other employees in the Vacaville store are still nice. I knew what I wanted to buy and had coupons and my $20 Rewards printed out (from my previous ink cartridge recycling) and in hand and the cashier was very positive and talkative. I ended up being the first in line of a few people. Cashier was quick to quick to call for back-up to expedite the line at the cashwrap. RE: the Staples Fairfield store: I found it! Stopped in to get a small stack of papers bound together. The lone girl in the copy and print center moved at a snails pace to come to the counter. I told her what I wanted and she said it would be 6 to 8 hours. WHAT? It takes about a minute! I'm a teacher, I get binding done all the time! I've never had to wait for than ten minutes. She said the jobs are first come, first serve and there are jobs ahead of this. I joked and said it would be faster for me to buy a binding machine, take it to the parking lot, do the binding in my car and then return the binding machine. She had no sense of humor. I left with my loose papers and went across the street to the Fed Ex place where the job was completed in less than 5 minutes. read more

Got my iPad screen fixed here. They charged almost 200$. Got it back it seemed to work fine then suddenly it stopped recharging. Will never take my devices here again. UPDATE: since posting this review my iPhone 6 broke twice. I took it straight to apple. The first time they just got me a brand new phone. 2nd time they charged me 129$ for a new screen, it STILL didn't work so they just got me another brand new phone for the same cost of repair (the $129) I would skip staples, go straight to apple. First and foremost the staff are extremely helpful and polite. The reason for the less than positive rating is their management lack of ability to provide the proper services (ie. copy machine) for the last three+ weeks they have failed to repair their copy machine. With only one machine working the wait time has gone from a couple of minutes to up to a hour. There other machine is worn and caused a lot of problems. If I owned Staples the manager would be removed. Excuses is good for a few days but not for a few weeks. Guess I will take today's and future bussiness to Fed-x they seem to maintain there machines and don't provide the same excuses several weeks in a row. read more

Just standing there listening to the larger Harmon Kardon portable speaker when I notice a very large Blimpish Blurr approaching fast & suddenly it's a worker interrupting my judging the sound of the speaker that I was considering & asking can I help you find something or more like a notice that he is watching me.I asked him isn't it obvious that I am busy listening to the speaker & he said he didn't notice & couldn't hear the speaker which is BS since he had beamers on me over fifty yards away & must hav been DEAF DUMB & BLIND according to him.So I say that should hav Been obvious (the music) He tells me he apologizes I ask why & he says "you're upset".So I say well I should leave your store as I let go of the basket of items I had wanted to purchase But when he RUDELY took it upon himself to interrupt me then unjustly accuse me of being upset because I didn't go along with his BS then it would be a personal liability for me to remain in that store with such a LIAR,so I politely left & immediately wrote this review.Not the first time ,there has been issues with Rude Staff here.DON'T Recommend they act like you are going to steal something. read more

We took our desktop computer to the Staples tech department this week and in a couple days they determined our computer was not repairable. Eric and Adam were all very helpful and great about explaining the process they had to go through and what the problems were. They transferred files from our old computer to an external hard drive and helped us find a beautiful new all-in-one computer at Staples, which we recommend for reducing clutter in a home office. I initially went in to just buy some paper for business cards that Kinkos across the street said they would use to print me out some business cards. The staff was very friendly. Very shortly after Kinkos decided to be completely useless, I called this store back to ask if they did printing services and that's when Kellie in the printing department saved the day! She was completely helpful from hearing my situation out and helping me come up with a solution to my last minute need for business cards. She had multiple issues come up from the printer jamming to a part needing to be swapped out but the whole time she was very solution focused and optimistic. She got my order done within an hour all the while helping other customers that had come in after me. She was amazing and definitely made me a future customer of Staples for my business stationary needs. The staff also joked with me every time I went in and out of the store, very nice people. I needed a USB extension, so I looked online and Staples showed one for $5.25, with a regular price of $20.96. Too good to pass up. I stopped in and found the cable, went to the register and the price was $20.96, I showed the clerk the online price on my phone, he checked the sku number and the matched. I was given the online price without having to call a manager over. I was on and out in five minutes. Thanks Staples for empowering your staff to make good decisions for your customer. read more

If I could give no stars I would. The customer service is so poor and everyone is so rude. The people at the printers are incredibly rude and so is the manager. I stood in line for five minutes before the lady even acknowledged me and then told me I would have to wait five hours if I wanted anything from her. All I came in with was a usb to get a paper printed for class that was five pages and said she still wouldn't do it. The line got bigger and people at the copiers were standing around waiting before I left and a guy in the back was just standing there doing nothing. Which is what I see everytime I go in there. Brought my phone in last week to get some work done on it. It's been over a week and I still had not received a phone call so I decided to give staples a call regarding my phone. A rep. had informed me that my phone had been shipped back but was still not working, still I had not received a phone call or email regarding my phone (the rep was very rude to top it off). It's been over a week and my phone is still not fixed given they had promised me three days. I have no idea what is going on with my phone because there is no communication with Staples and the third party that is fixing the phones. I am very disappointed with the services. I invested $140.00 dollars in this repair, I hope Staples is able to fix my phone. I will never come to staples again to get my phone fixed. read more
