Been coming here for years, and my new favorite thing is the Shrimp Star! We get it with shrimp, clams, and green mussels, full house, crazy. Everything is cooked perfectly, the corn is so sweet, the sausage is the best I've ever had! The only let down is you always get like 2 or 3 clams that are kinda gritty, but it's not enough to stop me from coming back! This place is unsanitary DONT GO HERE!!! I ordered 2 pounds of King crab. I asked for mild but they gave me spicy. I told the server that I would eat 1 of the pounds (I didn't want them to have to throw away al that crab) but the other I couldn't because it was to spicy. So they took the other pound away. (We are seated right in front of the kitchen so I can clearly see the cooks in the back) I see them gram the crab and start to rinse off with what it looked like water. We got sat immediately after we checked in. The hostess let us know our server would be with us shortly. We waited 15 minutes and no server ever came to our table even to take our drink order. The service here was wonderful about 4 years ago. Now the service is terrible. It's all very young immature kids running the place. The food tastes pretty good but I'm doing 1 star because they are STILL open for dining outside and are fully ENCLOSING the space. This is dangerous for both customers and especially employees. My cousins and I always plan for a post-Christmas dinner and this year we decided to break away from our usual KBBQ dinner to having it here at Star Crab. It was fitting because we all love cajun seafood in a bag. We had a big party on 20 and planned to walk in; knowing how those go, my fiance and I went early to grab a table. It wasn't too busy on the Wednesday night we went, but there was another party of 20 that had a reservation before us, so we waited for about an hour. It ended up working well cuz all the cousins came by the time our table was ready (Filipino time! to be exact). We got a long table in the middle of the restaurant, which was very nice to be seated at. We were also able to get our own checks as we liked, which we appreciated. Ordering was easy and we got all of our drinks and food in a timely manner. My dude and I shared a 2 lb bag of shrimp with potatoes (3), 1 sausage link, and corn (1 is complimentary, and we added an extra one). Also we got a side of cajun fries and our own sodas, free refills on the soda! We got the full house sauce (a combo of all the sauces) at a medium spice level. Everything was pretty tasty! We also got to snack on my cousin's sweet potato fries, which I liked more compared to the cajun fries. It was just so addicting. Your restaurant should treat delivery drivers like employees!!! I heard one of your staff tell a driver that she couldn't use the bathroom. How absolutely absurd. They are literally keeping YOUR business alive right now and you won't let them use the bathroom or a cup of water? They drive around all day with your food- Shameful! Brought the wife and kids for dinner last night. Waited for about half an hour to get seated because they were pretty busy. Once we walked in we can already smell the garlic deliciousness that awaits us. Finally got seated and we ordered some chicken strips and fries for the kids cuz they were starving. My wife and I shared a cup of clam chowder. Appetizers came out right away. The chicken fingers were perfect , not too much breading and real chicken breast meat unlike some restaurants where they serve those awful nuggets filled with mystery meat. We then ordered the family bucket with shrimp, clams, sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob. I'd recommend the full House for the sauce because it's got everything you'd want in a seafood boil. Garlic, paprika, seafood seasoning, and tons of liquid gold "butter". Added some Alaskan king crab and jumbo scallops. Everything was very tasty. Ended taking the rest home and reheated for tonight's dinner and you know what, it tasted just as good as when we had it at the restaurant. Servers were super attentive and always served us with a smile. The two people that waited on us have only been there for a few weeks yet they seemed like seasoned veterans. I'm a regular here. Just got done ordering another order. I've tried just about every seafood joint similar to star crab in the inland empire. Nothing beats the flavor of star crab. Idk if it's the sauce because I think the actual seafood is just ok but when I crave star crab there is literally nothing else I can eat. It's gotten so bad to the point me and my bf are ordering at least once a week. We think they put crack in the bag but I'm not certain ‍. It's so good we get the family size "Shrimp Star" for just the two of us. It's somehow worth the price for us. We usually take it to-go but have ate-in many times as well. The service is pretty good n the meal is always made quickly. I like that they never skimp out on the lime and salt. I understand they are busy tonight but I was told there would be an hour and a half wait so I irrived slightly before then and not only was my order cold but it was also over cooked. Pros: - Clean environment and attentive wait staff. - More often than not, their Alaskan King Crab is really fresh and the size of the legs are larger than most places. - Their Full House sauce is to die for, but beware of their spiciest option. I love spice, but it was a bit too much for me. - They give you scissors. Try eating King Crab without scissors, I guarantee it will be more work for you. Why can't more places do this? I was about ready to give this place a 1 star but since Mary tried to make things right for us, I bumped it up a star. We entered the restaurant at around 4pm and saw people were waiting, so we thought it was crowded. However, we later realized people were waiting for a booth table. I didn't even know that was a thing so we opted in for a half table and half booth. We were hungry so we wanted to get seated and eat asap. We weren't sure how their spice levels were so our server was kind enough to bring us samples of their crazy and 911. The 911 was pretty spicy but not the spiciest I've ever had. It was tolerable but we figured it might linger in our mouths longer than we'd want. We got the shrimp star which had 1 pound of shrimp and 2 pounds of crawfish for $32.95, crazy spice level with full house sauce. It came with corn, sausage and potatoes. Since there were 3 of us, we ordered another pound of crawfish on the side, hot spice level with full house sauce. The price for crawfish was $9.95 frozen and $11.95 fresh. We ordered them all fresh because I can taste the difference and do not prefer the taste and smell of the frozen crawfish. I would call myself a crawfish connoisseur because I have eaten at almost all of the crawfish joints in the area and in Orange County as well as New Orleans so I know how crawfish should taste. We also ordered a size of Cajun fries $4.10. They do not do spice levels like Boiling Crab does and says they do not have any cayenne pepper to make it spicy (even though I can taste the cayenne pepper in their sauce). Anyway, the Cajun fries came out first and they were weren't skinny fries and they weren't steak fries either. It was a medium size fry but they made it crispy so I enjoyed them. I probably would've enjoyed them more if it had a kick. After we almost finish the Cajun fries, our food didn't come out yet and had to wait a pretty long time for our main course to come out. When it did, we were informed that my side of crawfish would come out later because the cooks made a pound of shrimp instead. That was fine, people make mistakes so I waited and picked at the 3 pounds we did receive. While I was sitting there eating the sausages in the bag, my friend was peeling the crawfish and said it looked very gray. He asked me if it was normal and without thinking I just said yeah sure (but I didn't really look to see what he was talking about). I tried to eat one of the crawfish and no doubt in my mind was it frozen. The smell, the texture, and the taste all gave it away that that's what frozen tastes like. We thought that since it was a bucket deal, it didn't come in "fresh" so I waited to see how mine would taste. After everyone finished 3/4th of the bag, my pound finally came out and it was the same thing. There was a gray color in the head and the smell was what frozen crawfish should smell like. It was difficult for me to flag someone down to notify them of this even though there were about 6 employees working in a small restaurant and some were just standing around. Our server took off since her shift was over and she didn't really introduce anyone else to us that would take over as her replacement...so we basically couldn't get much service. I waved down the girl that brought out our food to ask her about the frozen and fresh crawfish but she said she would get my server. Sooo who's my server? Because I have no idea. I was avoided for a while, none of the employees would even bat an eye at me. I'm not normally one to complain but if I feel like I'm getting deceived or worried about the food safety, I will say something because I don't want to get sick. After waiting for someone to finally say something to us, Mary finally comes to talk to us and I explained to her that I did not believe that the fresh crawfish we ordered was what we got. She said that sometimes there's a bad batch and the cooks might've overcooked it. I will give her the benefit of the doubt but when crawfish is overcooked, it breaks into pieces which isn't the case here. In the end, she listened and made things ok for us while the other employees avoided us like the plague. Tl;Dr - Deceitful. Frozen crawfish was being sold as fresh. The crawfish head was a grey color after peeling it. Order shrimp. A lot of employees but when there's an issue, they avoid you. One of my absolute favorite places to go eat. BEWARE of deliciously good shrimp that may squirt some delicious house sauce (what I order every time) and HOT at that. Please know they supply bibs. Also, there is no silverware. An excuse to eat with your hands *fun* they do have wet wipes upon request and before leaving. They have kids menu I get then the strips which are fairly BIG with regular fries. Great for all families. They tend to be busy so sometimes there is a wait but it is worth it. read more

Unlike most crab boil places, the consistency of Star Crab has been great for the last 4 years I've been going there! Most of the places are new and then go downhill after the opening buzz. The prices are fair, their quality of seafood has always stayed consistent, the serving staff is quick and interactive, they stay in the front so that if you need anything, you dont have to search for them. They allow half pounds (which A LOT of places do not allow) and the peeled shrimp option so that the kids dont struggle or my food doesnt get cold while having to peel theirs! They have beer buckets, pitchers, and sake! There are other options of food as well so that those that arent into the boil bag can still join for dinner! Came to eat thru word of mouth that it was just like the infamous Boiling Crab. They have extremely similar menus and decor. I actually really enjoyed it! We got 1lb of shrimp with corn, 1 lb of lobster, fried calamari, and side of rice. The only thing is if you're ordering your food spicy do one up. We did mild and it felt like regular. The seafood was fresh. The calamari wasn't rubbery either which is an issue for me. Perfectly fried calamari. And to me it actually was better than boiling crab. I enjoyed it and the staff was great.
