She will not rush a client out the door when they need to talk, even if she has another client waiting. I was actually in the salon receiving a waxing when "Sindy" (previous one-star Yelp reviewer) came for her appointment. Due to the need for privacy, and also because of COVID, Sandy only has one client in the salon at a time. She keeps the front door locked as she doesn't want other people like delivery men walking into the salon when she is servicing another. The Yelp reviewer "Sindy" who left Sandy a one-star review (please don't confuse her with Sandy) started texting about ten minutes before her appointment to let Sandy know she was there. Mind you, Sandy has on a rubber gloves and a face mask at this time and is very busy focusing on my lady parts, and not her phone (I had been running a few minutes behind, and Sandy was hurrying to finish my treatment). In the few minutes it took her to finish me up and head out to address this client while I dressed, "Sindy" had knocked several times on the door and sent no less than FIVE separate texts, the last at 3:17 (her appointment was at 3:15) stating that, if Sandy didn't respond, she was leaving. Sandy walked out to the front porch, and I could hear "Sindy" immediately begin to raise her voice at her, telling her how she needs to run her business differently, answer her texts, etc. Sandy calmly explained that she had a client getting dressed and she'd get her in as soon as the room was sanitized and re-set for her. This was not good enough for "Sindy". She continued to berate Sandy until Sandy finally told her that she thought they had better just cancel the appointment as they obviously were not going to "click" as aesthetician /client. Sandy kept her head and addressed the matter in a professional way. She could easily have snapped back at this person who obviously wasn't going to use her services anyway, but she didn't. As a small business owner myself, I can tell you that I also wouldn't want a client such as that in my office, and I think that she received the result she deserved from her behavior.

The best way to describe the experience is a nail salon trying to be a spa. The massage screamed nail salon massage- kinda hurts, kinda all over the place, no technique or real skill. There were weird transitions between the tools used as well. One minute a head scratcher was used, then the facial started, more hair, then facial, then massage... plus the transitions from hot to cold was weird. Steam in the face, then a cod face mask and roller, with a warm eye mask. So weird. The hairspa part was rough. No circular massage or scratching, it was just hair washing and really hard scraping with nails on the scalp. This lasted an hour. Then, I sat awkwardly in front of a mirror while she brushed my tangled half wet hair and blew a blow drier thru it. I have naturally curly hair, so she ran her fingers thru my hair as she blew the hot hair so it made my hair really poofy and wavy. I told her she could stop, so I could manage at home, and she continued. Finally she stopped. At the end, they gave us some tea and she watched as I tried it. Made me question what was in it lol I also paid for an upgrade for scalp analysis, which involved them pulling the camera and looking at my scalp after it was done and she said "see? All clean." Great analysis. The atmosphere was cute. I'm sure they do such a great job with their other services, but if they want to advertise hairspa, they should lean more into the spa piece of it and learn about different types of hair.

Cutting my nail beds in my fingers on two different occasions and also my toes on other occasions. She cut my friend's fingers too! I still went back to her, because I've had so many bad experiences with technicians doing awful work. . The last straw was on two occasions she stopped my pedicure to started another one's nails turned me over to another technician! ; I had an appointment both times and once the other customer missed her appointment and she still left me and took her! I always tip well, so I was surprised, I had to sit in the chair for a basic pedicure for 90 minutes one time and two hours another. In addition, I had noticed that Tham took out what looks like used tools from the drawer. They were not in their normal cellophane coverings or in a disinfected jar with liquid. Honestly, I never paid attention before. I'm hoping this was a one off, I called her the next day to tell her the technician did not do a good job. The first time she repaired the job and apologized it The second time when I brought it up on both occasions I texted Tham and she fixed the other nail technician mistakes. When I came in for the repair, I noticed she took out nail tools from the drawer, The second time she turned me over to the other technician I texted her again to have my toes fixed, and I mentioned that she did not use clean tools the previous time, and to make sure that they were disinfected before I come in for the repair. She sent me a text saying that , she did not have time to repair my toes. Then later on that she day, she sent me a text saying that she could repair my toes so I came in and she did not apologize and honestly, she was downright rude and she bought the tools out of their cellophane bag and said "See they they are clean ", in a contentious and considering way. She was dismissive and didn't apologize for my inconvenience but instead acted like I was the inconvenience! I know my friend had a horrible experience with her and she just didn't complain, not sure how many other people had rough cut fingers as well. Now I'm wondering if that's why she left the previous nail salon in which she was employed. I hope Than reads this and makes some adjustments in her attitude and technique. The last time the toenails were uneven, and my ingrown toenail was not removed. You can see my toe was red and inflamed. Also, my calluses were not removed on the side side of my toenail beds.
