Do you have to go to this Star Wars themed bar in Disney? Yes, you do. It's really unique and certainly worth a visit. Will you actually like it? Meh. Drinks in Disney are crazy expensive, you know that already. The difference is that in this bar they are also not very good. Pre-mixed and very sugary, with punny names like the Fuzzy Tauntaun and Jedi Mind Trick. There are two wines available, four beers, and two or three snacks (think warm pretzels named after Yoda or something). Get a drink, take a picture, then get back outside and ride rides! It may be lifted now, but for the first few years there was also a drink / time limit, so you had to be out in 45 minutes or so. These days you don't need reservations and the wait is usually not very long. One of those places you check out once or twice, and that's plenty.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened on May 31, 2019 and was formerly part of the Critter Country and Frontierland areas. It's a fully immersive experience into the Star Wars universe centered around the massive Millennium Falcon overlooking everything. The main attractions are Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The rides and the theme feel futuristic and extraterrestrial with the droids and aliens. Because of its popularity and its location near the back of the park, many visitors will rush here when the park first opens. The area makes you feel like you've transported to a different world even if you're not a fan.

Where am I? In Disneyland or Batuu? Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is a themed land in Disneyland that transports you into what feels like an actual Star Wars movie. While I am not the biggest Star Wars fan, I still really appreciate the structure and details of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. It's impressive and there a little details everywhere! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is home to 2 different rides - Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (my personal favorite). It is also home to many places to grab food and drinks such as Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo (where my favorite Cold Brew is), Kat Saka's Kettle, Ronto Roasters, Black Spire Brew and the very popular Oga's Cantina which I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation for and checking out! They have some very on brand shops too for all of your Star Wars needs like Savi's Workshop where you can build your own lightsaber and the Droid Depot where you can also build your very own Droid! I feel like you could spend a majority of your day at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! There are photo ops everywhere and don't forget to be on the lookout for characters like Chewy, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Rey and even Stormtroopers who are always walking around and interacting with guests!

The Baseline: For a theme park, quality experiences must be provided, fun amusement attractions be available, immersive environments must be established, and safety must be a top priority. Theme: Galaxy's Edge is an awesome immersive experience with tons of character interaction, fun things to do, amazing themed areas to take photos at, and it is so Star Wars themed you can't help having fun. Interaction: If you download the "Play Disney" app there is a Star Wars data pad game that you can literally spend hours in this area doing tasks, hacking equipment, decoding the QR codes on the crates, etc. all around the land. It really makes the bounty hunting fun as well.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is one of the latest lands added to Disneyland. L O C A T I O N It's located behind Adventure Land so basically head toward Thunder Mountain and go left of it and past it. E X P E R I E N C E There are only 2 rides in this area and thank goodness they added Rise of the Resistance. It's probably one of the best rides in Disneyland but it also breaks down a lot. Smuggler's Run is a good concept but whoa....the motion sickness in this ride is definitely high. There are a few places to eat here. There's also Oga's Cantina which I feel is a good spot to try once but it's kind of just "meh" and really not much food there. Docking Bay 7 has better option and everyone seems to get the cold brew here. Ronto Roasters has wraps but they're kind of too spicy for me. You can make your own droid and light saber for a price. There are characters that do walk around and you can interact with them. There are a few shows at night and you can also experience the fireworks in this area. It does feel like you've been sucked into the world of Star Wars and there's so much detail put into the land though I feel like this could've been more fleshed out. O V E R A L L If you're a fan of Star Wars and want to be transported into their world, then yes, by all means go visit this land. Go to Oga's for a drink and experience the cantina at least once. Grab a cold brew at Docking Bay 7 for a pick me up in the morning or late afternoon. Also if you do want to interact with any of the characters from that world, hang around and you may find them. If you've been dying to ride inside the Millenium Falcon, do Smuggler's Run at least once. But by all means make sure to do Rise of the Resistance. Do not miss that ride.

    Entrance is miraculous!

I love how Disneyland recreated Star Wars here. The attention to detail is incredible, from the sights and sounds to the atmosphere, it really feels like stepping into the galaxy far, far away. This experience was awesome and a must see for any Star Wars fan.

Theme: Star wars theme. Galaxy's edge highlights the planet, Batuu. Background On Batuu: In Star Wars canon, Batuu is in the Trilon sector of the Outer Rim and is home to the Black Spire Outpost, a bustling trading port. The planet is also associated with the Resistance and the First Order. Wookieepedia describes Batuu as a temperate planet with three suns and two moons Entertainment: Note: The "Season Of The Force" is happening right now. It's from March 28 to May 11, which features themed merchandise, character moments, and entertainment in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. 1) Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga: This new nightly projection show in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge showcases iconic moments from the Skywalker saga with stunning effects and music. Scheduled to run until May 11, 2025. Sit towards the back where there is a place to sit. You can enjoy without standing. They'll have a green line that will indicate the viewing areas. 2) "Fire of the Rising Moons" firework show is scheduled to run until May 11, 2025. Located in the same area. Liked the firework show. Kinda prefer it over the main fireworks at the Castle. Attractions: 1) Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run 2) Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. 3) Customize Merchandise: 1) Savi's Workshop: Personalize your own lightsabers, young jedi's. 2) Droid Depot: Design, assemble, and activate your own droid! 4) Have a run in with star war characters. The storm troopers and chewbacca are the ones that I've mainly see. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge For Thought: Cool area to check out and partake on the 2 rides and take a look at the star wars merch.

Luv this lands immersive experience into the force. There's so much to see and two rides everyone comes for. Rise of the resistance and smugglers run. Cantina, blue milk, trading post, ship displays are incredible. It's a must visit when at Disneyland. Park reservation required or on certain nights you can enter the park without reservations. Venture to the land past hungry bear and thunder mountain. Parking is not included with your paid ticket.

    Stormtroopers.

Very detailed Star Wars themed land to walk through. Was fun to see Stormtroopers walking around on my recent visit.

"Good bye, old friend. May the Force be with you."~ Obi-Wan Kenobi What can I say about this amazing area inside Disneyland, it's like you're really there! It feels surreal! One of the longest wait times is Rise of Resistance which we hope to ride our next visit! Hubby and eldest had a blast on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, I missed it since baby passed out! Hubby actually proposed to me in front of the Millennium Falcon at Disney World, next time I'll ride switch! ~Shops~ Build your own droid or even lightsaber, or join the dark side and stop by First Order Cargo! Our 8 year old's souvenir was the Darth Maul lightsaber and hubby's was Kyle Ren's! The lightsabers really light up and make sounds, fun for battling! He also picked out the Episode 1 - ThePhantom Menace 25th Anniversary Backpack by Herschel, looks great on! I would definitely recommend a visit if you're a die hard Star Wars fan! Totally worth it! We'll be back, would love to check out Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite one day! Happy Valentine's Day, remember your loved ones! :-) *Song Credit: Hill of Hope by EnjoyMusic Site: https://enjoymusic.ai

This part of Disneyland is just breathtaking, the back drops and sceneries are amazing. My family c I had a great time here and enjoyed all its offerings.

Like millions of others, I am a lifelong fan of Star wars. Been wanting to visit this wing of Disneyland ever since they announced the plans and showed some early concepts, etc. Disney did such a great job with the aesthetic and feel of the area. Lots of attention to detail with the structures and lots of great photo ops, mini shows, rides, and places to grab a drink and/or a bite. It also contains what I would consider my favorite ride - The Rise of the Resistance. It also has, in my opinion, the best area to view the nightly fireworks as well. It's really cool that they worked the fireworks into an interactive activity in the area near the Millennium Falcon for the little ones. Of my last handful of trips to this park, I would say going to this area is what makes me the most excited during my overall visit.

Love how immersive it is here. It's one of the only places in Disneyland where you can relax and just hang out. I recommend the milks which are all uniquely delicious.

While I had not heard too much about it, I dedicated my whole day to exploring DLR and wanted to make the most of it. That being said, I purchased a Park Hopper ticket and made my way over after spending the first have the day in DL. Opened in 2001, DCA was not an immediate hit at its debut. In fact, it took a major facelift in order to start gaining some traction in terms of park attendance. The park is Disney's interpretation of California, separated into different lands based on regional areas of the state or by Disney IP. Some of the strongest areas IMO are San Fransokyo Square, paying homage to the Asian heritage in SF, and Pixar Pier which is a huge area combining Disney-Pixar theming with vintage California coastal vibes. While I feel this is the more adult park when comparing it to DL, there is a lot for kids to do here as well. There's a also a strong selection of attractions, and the shopping and dining are also decent. I took a spin on the parks icon - the Pixar Pal-a-Round, which provided awesome views of the park and greater Anaheim area. If comparing DCA to DL, it's my opinion the former is the stronger park - the theming and types of attractions speak to me more. Overall, I thought DCA was great - it's definitely an enhancement DLR as a whole, and I would no doubt return next time I plan a visit here.

I came back for this visit since my kids' Cub Scout group was celebrating their year end achievements and it was a great opportunity to join our community and give it another shot for the kids. They also were older and not on the baby pool. Well, I'm so glad I did. Despite the renovations going on, things seemed more organized and clean. The check- in process was much more streamlined and efficient and our rooms were ready and clean (no carpets!! Yay clean room!) with a view that wasn't great since the climbing area was literally right outside, but the kids loved it! Everyone still gets their free wolf ears too. The restaurant breakfast buffet had staff around to mind all the little and big hands reaching for food and we had a "breakfast taco bar" the family really enjoyed. The pool is full of flavors for all age levels and adventurers but a treat for me was seeing the outside pool area- there were loungers in the water, shaded regular seats, cabanas and no echos. It was like a resort! Inside is louder and humid while outside is full sun but open. Something for everyone. Lots of fun free and paid activities so be sure to check the schedule. We took part in story time (free) and yoga (free). I also appreciated the midweek crowd level even for a summer. I recommend you give it a try to see if it's a fit for your family! Okay thanks bye

The free games were the blue tap games, so you don't earn tickets, but there were still a ton of fun options. We didn't even come close to using the full 3 hours because there was so much to do. My favorites were the basketball games and Connect 4 basketball. We played a few rounds of laser tag, which was super fun, but a lot of the equipment seemed broken that day. They also couldn't split us into teams, so everyone was playing individually instead. The go-karts were really fun for a group we got a whole round to just our coworkers. Some of the karts definitely felt faster than others, which made things interesting. We also did mini golf, and the course was much bigger than I expected. It took quite a while to get through all the holes. One thing to note is that the rides don't always have staff standing by them. Bumper boats were closed; perhaps weather isn't warm enough yet or demand was low. Two fountain sodas at the snack bar were $13. Pretty outrageous. Tried to use the batting cages. Our unlimited pass didn't seem to apply however, which was disappointing, as our key cards were unable to activate the cages in two different lanes. We moved on to mini golf. Well lit and good music is the best I can say. Overall I can tell the courses have been improving from a maintenance standpoint but the greens are TERRIBLE. If you have to putt over broken turf or your ball gets stuck in a pit of death that used to be part of the brick border, it disrupts the fun and becomes frustrating. Seriously, Boomers. Put some of that ridiculous soda pop revenue into fixing your miserable astroturf. There were tears and holes everywhere. The arcade gets periodically updated but we didn't use it this time due to time constraints. Always had fun on the multitude of games available. Same with laser tag, we just ran out of time. Was not crazy about the process for golf putters and bats for the batting cages. There only seemed to be one person in charge of handing these out from the desk and they were stuck handling a long ticket line so we pretty much helped ourselves by reaching over the counter and grabbing what we needed.

Outside, the bumper boats are a refreshing way to cool down. You can see that the staff works hard at maintaining the grounds. There's always someone working on the many pools and water features when I go. Overall, the greens are in good shape. Sure, a ball may stick, but it's a game. Mulligans and astro turf hiccups are par for this course. Want to practice random kindness? If you see a bottle on the ground, feel free to recycle in the receptacle placed by the tee box.
