Senorita Breads are amazing and addictive!
    Glen C.

Carson gets a sweet, Filipino Bay Area bakery taste (especially after the Valerio's Bakery controversy near this location! IYKYK!) via StarBread! So here's a rap in the form of Yay Area hip hop legend E-40 (you gotta sound like him when you read this crappy attempt of mine, okay?) "oooOoo! StarBread!/ Sweet, Buttery Senoritas take my tastebuds to the head/ leavin' hunger pangs like Hunger Games' bootleg Battle Royale; ya' dead!/ StarBread!.../ Whether you banging for the white, blue, purple or red.../ StarBread!.../ got me Fiending like a Rotunda or a Lucha Libre in El Telemundo with Mexican, Latino and Filipino influences embed!/ StarBread!.../ This bakery's got the random pastries to keep your tummies fed!/" Okay, back to my review... Umm... Yeah... To me... StarBread is up there with the oldschool Pan De Sal place nearby because it fits our city and cultures to a T while embracing the past into the future just like they did with their first bakery in Vallejo back in the 80s. They even have Nutella and Strawberry Cream Cheese Senoritas along with other cool random fusion pastries that make me want to try their whole damn menu at affordable prices with amazing customer service all the time.

Stopped by recently to pick up some goodies for a group. Was kindly welcomed in to the vibrant and super clean bakery with Halloween decor and themed desserts on a weekday afternoon. There were several choices of the popular senorita bread already bagged on the counter or the option to have some made to order which some customers opted to do. There were also choices of bagged bread ready to go in either ube or original pan de sal. I chose ube pan de sal and cream cheese senorita bread for the group I was gifting to. They were all delighted. Pan del sal actually means salted bread but it is just a tad sweet. It is a staple bread roll for breakfast in the Philippines. Their parking is shared with Papa John's and a dental office. There were several spaces available. Great goodies here and kind, efficient gal at the counter. Updating previous review to 4 stars.

This is heaven on earth. The senorita bread is amazing. Plenty of parking spaces the place was clean and appealing. Service was fast. Senoritas bread was warm and perfectly delightful. Senorita bread a way for me to explain is heaven but with some sort of light filling don't know what it is but it's sweet and warm best to eat them fresh.

I purchased 20 pieces of senorita bread from this store, drove 43 miles back home. I then opened up the box and counted 3 times and it's only 18 freaking pieces. The employee probably ate 2 in the back kitchen before handing the box to me waiting at the front counter. Who knows. I don't penny pinch, but come on it doesn't matter if there is a long line or a few customers make sure the customer receives the correct order. There were only 2 customers behind me. One of my acquaintance told me about Star Breads so I had to try it, the appearance on this baked batch is uneven in color and a few skinny ones, overall the filling inside the bread barley has anything. I feel like I am just eating a bread dip in sugar that's all. Not a wow factor.

In the mood for some sweet bread, but not Mexican bread, this was a perfect choice! Hot, sweet and warm, just out of the oven, delicious! Located in a shopping mall, plenty of parking. Small store very clean, good customer service.

StarBread Bakery is a Filipino bakery with a large selection of Filipino pastries, including Pan de Sal, Seniorita Bread, Malasadas. For the food: The star of the show is the Senorita Bread. The bread is like biting into a soft fluffy cloud, buttery and sweet. All orders are freshly baked to order and piping hot. It's best eaten fresh or you can warm in the toaster over. I've tried Strawberry Cream Cheese filled Senorita bread, but does not compare to the plain original. Next time, I'd try butter mochi or bitso instead

I've always wanted to try this place since I used to love the Spanish rolls from Nanding's bakery in Hawaii (if you know you know) and holy crap, Starbread did not disappoint. Matter of fact, the señorita bread exceeded my expectations because they were hot and fresh and so tasty. I ate 3 immediately in the car on the way home and burned my tongue but it was worth it; I'd do it again lol. Quick and easy service, very clean shop, can't wait to come again!

I'm so extremely happy there's a Starbread Bakery in Carson. It's conveniently located in a corner lot where there's always parking available. Inside is like a typical bakery, small but cozy, and mostly display cases showing the baked goods and a counter set up for purchases. Whether there's a line or not, their staff is quick and efficient, especially when handling large orders of their famous senorita bread. Usually every time I'm here, it's for a large order of senorita bread. They're my faborite go-to party dish! Not only are they delicious, but they always come out hot and fresh. It's perfect!

Always great service when I come here and the bread is always hot! My cousin first told me about Starbread and now I take it to everyone's house parties or events and everyone loves it. I haven't tried their other pastries, but I'm sure they're good. I'd definitely recommend stopping by and getting a small box if you haven't tried them, you'll want more than 1 piece for sure! :)

Do you use lard or gelatin in any of your breads?

No we do not use lard or gelatin in any of our products.

Great bakery; but are you able to speed up the process of serving please ? Any time I come in, service is pretty slow unless there is absolutely no other customers in there. Thanks

Our bread is made to order. I apologize, we try to give our customers one on one service. We will try to be faster!

Do you have any vegan options?

    Unfortunately not :(

I hope you guys are open up to 8pm? so many people from Harbor UCLa would go there and pick up after work, but you are closed. Also delivery

Unfortunately we are only open until 7pm. We are working on the logistics of delivery services but would need more employment to accommodate that venture but it is definitely something we are looking into if the demand is high enough :)

If I would like to order a big order of señorita bread, would I have to call prior?

For large quantities it is advised that you please call us in advanced so we could make the pick up quick and easy for you :)

What is the best time to go there to get the freshly baked Señorita bread.. Like the Krispy Kreme they have the hot neon light blinking one they're making a batch?

We bake our Señorita bread around the clock from 7am - 7pm :) hope this helps!

I wish if there's online order available so I can pick it up after my work. Bread looks so yummy and want to try. No Ubereat or own site?

We stay open later than most bakeries and close at 8pm :)

    What's in senorita bread?

    Butter & sugar

Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

So take it for what it is.. and as a fellow Asian, I'm expecting natural strong flavors. I'll start with the best thing about the ice cream. The texture is a 5/5! Solid work on creaminess. Now for why I just wasn't so excited about it all. I talked about flavor. It's lacking. It tasted very milky and washed out and I really had to concentrate on exactly what flavor I was supposed to be tasting. We got three diff flavors. Regular vanilla bean, ny cherry, and halo halo. Another thing lacking was service. She was nice. But didn't seem excited to be there. And it didn't make me excited to be there. What killed it for us was the location as a whole. It comes off as a nice outdoor space. But no one cares about you. Honestly, all three times I've been to this location for different venues, I've had very rude encounters. No other place have I been to that's been this consistent with people who just don't care. So I guess my take away is - the place is fine. It'll hit the spot for ice cream. But take it and leave. They have so many cool venues around like hiro nori, nook, spam masubi... it's a shame that people around are so much about themselves.

The boba shop is located on the northwest corner next to Dentist of Old Torrance with plenty of parking. The shop's dining space is mostly of 2-tops that can be adjusted to seat larger groups, with a unisex restroom is in the back. There's a corner to the right of the entrance with a Boba Bunny neon sign & powder blue scooter that's great for taking pics! I first learned of the shop via Toast last year when they offer a $2.00 birthday treat. My son has tried most of the local boba shops so I wanted to see how this ranks on his list. The menu is pretty extensive for its size with: fresh fruit teas, blended fruit/smoothies, fruit yogurt, fruit mocktails, premium milk teas, pure teas, cheesy bunny teas, tea lattes, ice milks, coffees, toppings ice creams, build your own (bubble) waffle, bubble waffle combo, churros, shaved ice, hot sandwiches/paninis, toasts, croissants, rice bowls, salads, munchies, add-ones... whew! There's also collectible boba bear bottles that's refillable; I don't think the refillable bottle is more than their large drinks unlike some other shops with refill options. Stopping by on a late Saturday morning, it was quiet. It took a few minutes to peruse their menu & I had a few questions since the electronic menu & kiosk didn't have a description of the ingredients. I ordered Lychee Berry with Crystal Boba, & M picked a large Strawberry Mochi Shaved Ice. It took a few minutes before my order was ready. I liked the Lychee Berry... it has a floral & sweet tart taste from the lychees & strawberries, with a moderate serving of crystal boba. The shaved ice was definitely IG-worthy! It's piled high with ice fluff & topped with fresh strawberries, mochis, & a strawberry bunny jello; their house special strawberry purée, a bit too sweet for my liking, is set aside to prevent diluting the shaved ice. The mochi is colored, but it doesn't taste flavored or fresh (in-house) made; fresh as in chewy & pillowy like a marshmallow. The jiggly bunny makes a fun pic (see videos)! M thought it was funny to tap its behind, & we had it angled so that it looks like it's eating a pink mochi. Hehehe... While it's creative to a certain extent & tasty, the menu is on the expensive side for the serving size. Service was positive since we were the only customers, though slow due to the order execution process. Alas, the location is not quite marketable even though there's high traffic from Ralph's. It's the same owner, rebranding the Boba Bunny to Phin Coffee a couple of months ago after 2 years as a boba shop, which makes sense since there was a special run 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a 20% discount on coffee & matcha before the transition.
