I don't know what I could possibly say that hasn't been said, but after years of being a customer I have no plans to stop giving Starbread my business. Expect to wait, even if you order just 5 pieces. I've never walked in and just gotten my bread in a snap. You can order in advance if you pay in person for your order but they no longer accept phone orders. As busy as they can get, you're going to want to order in advance for anything that comes in a box (I think 20+ pcs). *Sidenote: always buy at least double what you think you want. Liars!! I called to place an order for a total of 70 pieces of señorita bread for a party. The guy asked me my name, what time I wanted to pick it up, and my phone number. Very easy transaction. I get there at the scheduled time and was told that they are sold out. I told the guy that I made a phone order and he tells me they don't take phone orders. I like their seniority bread no complaints there but I also bought Yema candy, my favorite. It came in a plastic container, he said 12 pieces for $6. I counted it when I got home. There were only 10! And really inconsistent with the sizing as I saw it. There were a couple that didn't even measure up! You shouldn't say 12 if you can only fit 10! read more

Yes, please. So, I was hesitant at first, but once I tried the small delight bursting with hot buttery sweetness, I was won. Since discovering Starbread, my boyfriend would venture there to surprise me and my mouth full of sweet teeth occasionally. The reason I had to deduct a star is that the quality of the senorita bread is inconsistent. Sometimes you get piping hot bread, others not so much. Sometimes they have the sweet buttery goodness dripping, others dry and dull. Ultimately, Starbread is there to offer a sweet pick me up. I wish they had locations in Southern California. One thing is for sure, these inexpensive treats will not be helping your diet. read more

Who doesn't love star bread bakery? This place has to be one of my favorite sweet spots. I have to admit I'm guilty of only going in purchasing the señorita bread. I went by today and picked up a few for the house. They provided quick great customer service. There's no special stars and tricks or thrills to this place. Then I guess you would say who really needs that when your bread and baked items are so good. I've never had an issue with parking here even though it is a small parking lot. If I could change one thing about this place it will probably be to have them open a little bit later. I would recommend this place to everyone if I could I often take the señorita bread with me to work... some of my coworkers that have never had it before are now in love. These buttery, fluffy, sweet treats called Señoritas are DEADLY. You really have to do a 5 mile run after gobbling up these delicious goodies because it is practically impossible to just eat one. Everytime I buy from Starbread, they always give me a hot and fresh batch. You can see the intoxicating steam coming out of the box! If you're not doing the low-carb diet, then definitely stop by this bakery. The señorita breads definitely brighten up your day and make your belly happy. P.S. They also have those yummy garlic peanuts. Buy those too if you're craving a savory treat. Also, if you took forever to get to your destination, you can "revive" your señoritas by just nuking them in the microwave for 15 seconds. They'll be good as new. If you nuke them too long, they will turn hard and dry, so try to avoid doing so. read more

Obsessed does not describe it. Addicted is a much better word. Located in the little hole in the wall plaza across from Doctors Medical Center is a wonderful store that serves up sweet, gooey, piping hot deliciousness known as 'senorita bread.' I came here by accident (following a yelp review that stated this business was a bakery selling donuts.) and was thoroughly surprised. I can not describe the incredible ecstasy of biting into a piece of senorita bread. Gotta try it for yourself. The prices are very good. 15 pieces for $8. 5 pieces for $2. Try it out. 'The store is open for 7am - 7pm, 7 days a week. No excuse! Gotta try. I also recommend the peanuts. Shell on, Shell off. They are delicious. The strawberry cheesecake is good too. Senorita bread is so good! Love these little sweet rolls. Really low price for many pieces. They take card now but I still bring cash instead because I usually spend less than $10. What can I say? The reviews are exactly right. These pastries are like CRACK. Once you have one, you won't be able to stop eating. Although I did stop at 2. I had to share with family the 30 pieces I ordered. I came in at 6:30 am to stop by and get some SENORITAS before heading out to Lake Berryesa to wakeboard. Gotta have some energy for the lake, right? So what more better way to wake up on the crack of dawn and get some of these bad boys. They take cards, thank goodness but a minimum credit of $6. I ordered 30 pcs, for $12. Lady behind the counter said, 4 minutes wait okay? I said sure. If these babies are coming out right off the oven, hell I will take them. Finally the lady handed them to me, and I was like wooahhhh! They smell sooo freaking good. I also ordered the coconut and walnut tarts. They were okay but a little on the dry side. The hype is all true. In this inconspicuous strip mall is perhaps one of the greatest pastries I have ever tasted. Fluffy, flaky, and oozing with flavor is señorita bread. When they are hot and fresh, it is nearly impossible to resist them. The smell alone with have you reaching for the box. I also tried the cream cheese-filled version which are slightly bigger than the regular and come in a 3 pack ($2.50 I believe for specialty, whereas you get 5 plain señoritas for $2.) The specialty kind was also delicious and perfect with a cup of coffee. As others noted, there's a $6 minimum credit card charge and they will ask to see your ID to verify it's your card. Also, the parking lot is small for the amount of businesses in the strip mall and was full when I was there. There's street parking on Vale Rd that worked fine. This is not a place to watch your calorie intact, but señorita bread is worth it. I'd advise getting extras because these will go quick. And put them in your trunk if you want to avoid eating them all on your drive home/to your office. Seriously, they're THAT good. read more

When the Senorita bread is warm it melts in your mouth like chocolate on a sunny day!!! Forget a donut...5, 10, 15 of these babies will do the trick. I call it instant diabetes amongst other things, but there is no way to resist?!?! I've yet to meet a person who doesn't find some satisfaction and happiness after taking that first bite into a Senorita bread. The bakery workers are very friendly and they have a small assortment of different pastries. Their bakery is clean and well-kept. The Senorita bread alone deserves 10 stars for it's awesomeness! Don't think you can eat only one so if you're going to try them, get a small box of 4 or 6 because they are very addictive! Never ask how many calories it has. If you haven't had this yet, a few tips: 1. The señorita bread is the best item 2. Only frequent Star Bread, other Filipino bakeries sell it but it's never quite the same as SB 3. No matter what, elect for the fresh ones. Do not get the ones in the package. Wait for the 4 minutes or whatever it is to get the fresh ones 4. Be prepared to burn the hell out of your lap if you put it on your lap as you drive off 5. Melted butter may seep out the top, bottom or sides of the bread when you eat it while it's hot so for goodness sakes use a napkin or two. They used to do phone orders at this one but I don't think they take them anymore. It's worth the wait. read more
