The best Senorita bread! Always a hit! Bring to any event and watch your guest go crazy :)

Boxes and prices.
Cynthia A.

I am super excited to have a local Starbread! I went on day 3 to pick up their infamous senorita bread. While I was there I also picked up garlic peanuts and pan de sal. Happy day! The location is convenient and parking is easily accessible. It's tucked in between Pokemoto and Eyebrow Hub in the shopping center. The order taker was very efficient, which is important considering there was a line at 8:45 am. The Señorita bread was warm, soft, buttery and delicious. The garlic peanuts were addicting and the pan de sal was as expected.....satisfying when toasted and spread with peanut butter (which is one of the ways I enjoy them). .

Super yummy in glistening butter and sugar!

Super happy that Starbread is here in Petaluma! Great for potlucks, get together and breakfast! Service is excellent and yay for accepting cards now! Cozy little shop and the smell of freshly baked bread permeates the whole place! Hundred percent Recommend!

I was so excited to see place open! I use to drive to Vallejo to get senorita bread. Glad they opened one I. Sonoma country. They also have other desserts like cake and cheese cake. I got the Brownie and a 5 piece order of the senorita bread. It came out nice and warm and very fresh! It was delicious and the brownie was very moist.

So glad a Starbread Bakery opened closer to us.We went today (they just opened yesterday) and the line moved fast, which was great. Their Señorita bread is so yummy-soft, buttery, and perfectly sweet. Just a heads up bring cash. Hopefully the get there credit system up and running.

Oil penetrating the packaging

Ironically, the Starbread señiorita was not the star of Starbread. The namesake bread is cooked to order and topped with a sweet oily topping. The bread was virtually hollow on the side with no real chew. There was way too much oil on in it, dripping through the bag, on my shirt and on my car interior. They really need to work on their packaging. The señorita was lackluster, but the moussecake and cookies were really good for a reasonable price. Service was ok and nothing special. The shop was hot with no airflow. I hear this location's product is not as good as the other shops in the East Bay. I may try them to see if I am really missing anything.

I got an order of 16 senorita breads.

I got an order of 25 senorita breads and I have never had it before. It was like eating plain bread as most of the ones on top didn't have any kind of sugar glaze or whatever they put on them. The bottom ones had a bit more savory flavor but not much. It was a 25 minute wait to get the bread. I am a bit disappointed in the hype of the bread. The two turn overs I got were so much better than the bread itself. Id go back for the turn overs but not the senorita bread. It is a cash only location. The place itself is so small and cute but you may be waiting outside until your order is ready.

The wait is over! Starbread Petaluma is finally open!!! They are most well known for their señorita bread which are small sweet soft bread rolls filled with butter and sugar. They look deceptively simple but are dangerously addictive. I highly recommend you give them a visit and try their señorita bread asap!

Hot and fresh. Had one before we left the parking lot.

Inside, there was an amazing selection of pastries, salads, and local products. My favorite was the chocolate orange cake, which was moist with a subtle orange flavor. My dad loved the vegetarian croissant, and my mom enjoyed the blueberry croissant. Everything was delicious, though the pastries were a little on the denser side. The real standout for me was the coffee. I ordered a plain iced latte, and it was strong, smooth, and not bitter at all. You can also add vanilla or classic syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink. Friendly service, a huge variety of baked goods, and I heard they even serve pizza in the afternoons. I'll definitely be back!

Strawberry maritozzi: Of all of the pastries this was actually my last favorite. I felt like the bread was a bit dry and flavorless. The cream was good however and not too sweet like your typical American dessert. I think if they could some how use a different type of bun that isn't as dry, this would be amazing. 2. Caprese Sandwich (wrap): This was incredible. I really liked this sandwich. It was so flavorful and the balance of the pesto and chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. Very large and filling too. 3. Mushroom focaccia: Loved this! Focaccia was fluffy and a very generous amount of mushrooms on top. 4. Passion Fruit pasty: I LOVED this! It reminds me of being in hawaii again and reminded me of the malasalas there however in a pastry dough form. 5. Chocolate pistachio croissant: High quality pasty very fluffy and light with huge amount of chocolate. Overall, I felt like the savory items were incredible and overshadowed the sweet items. The sweet were still good though. Everything was high quality and fairly priced. Only item that I wouldn't get again is the Maritozzi.

Seriously, you might think pie is pie, but no, there's pie, and then there's pie from Petaluma Pie Company. Friendly employee and clean area outside the shop is well. So that's good. My only complaint is the eco-friendly fork they provide is absolutely awful. Not sure if it's a Petaluma requirement but real plastic forks would be much appreciated. Regardless, this place is a must-try!

They recently underwent an ownership change in 2024 from the OGs, but fortunately, instead of selling to a corporation, they sold it to an employee and his mother to help ensure the original ethos and quality remain intact. The Good: * Their pies are made with locally-sourced and organic ingredients bought from the local farmers market--as well as some fruit that they grow themselves! * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * As mentioned above, they have both sweet and savory pies. We only tried the sweet *oink oink* * Friendly service * Love that they have both full sized pies and smaller ones, so you don't have to commit to a big ol' pie. * We tried their Elvis (PB, banana, and chocolate) and their Black & Blue Crumble and they were both fabulous! I leaned a bit more to the B&B, as I absolutely adored that granola crumble on top, but the Elvis was no slouch either. The Meh: * Interior is small and very cramped. Definitely a grab-and-go type operation. The Ugly: * Parking in DT Petaluma can be a hassle, as it's street parking only, but at least it's free. Conclusion: Fantastic spot to scratch that 3.14 itch--and I'm always itchy!

The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side, but for a special occasion or a nice brunch outing, I think it's worth it. I'd definitely come back! P.S interesting note, they serve their late drinks on a bowl not a cup

I was leaving a restaurant & walked right smack dab in the middle of the farmer's market. After drooling, I mean looking at the various flavors that Simply Strudels had to offer I ended up buying a whole vanilla bean strudel mainly because the person selling the strudels said that it can be kept in the freezer until ready to serve whether it be whole or just slicing a piece off to defrost & eat. I took my first bite & was sold, hook, line & strudel, I mean sinker! I had seen over the years that Simply Strudels had opened a store front but never had the opportunity to stop by as their hours of operation conflicted with work. But one fine early morning I happened to be driving on Petaluma Blvd., South & noticed the open sign & thought to myself "self, you haven't had breakfast so stop in & get some strudel." So glad I listened to myself! So on this particular day I opted to buy 2 savory portions (1 for that morning & 1 for the next day. Bacon, cheddar & potato and garlic, spinach potato) as well as one sweet portion (fresh meyer lemon cheese strudel). OMG TOO DIE FOR!!! The savory strudels were perfection, I mean I could eat those every day for breakfast! I that fresh meyer lemon cheese strudel was Heaven on a plate, so fresh, crisp & lemony!
