It's rare that I suggest a chain, especially something as mundane as a Starbucks. However, this little gem has something special. A mural painted by Seattle artist, Shogo Ota. - The coffee shop itself is small enough, but still offers a seating area with a few leather chairs, small tables, men and women's restroom, natural light, and of course a multi wall mural. This mural brought me great joy. - I purchased my chai with coconut milk and I am pleasantly surprised to hear that Starbucks now carries soy, oat, almond and coconut milk. I remember when Starbucks only carried soy milk! I found the staff to be welcoming & unique. My drink was made perfectly. Not too hot as I requested. I'm originally from Arroyo Grande and I regularly would go to all the Starbucks locations around the 5 Cities area. A few months ago, I moved up to Templeton and started coming to this location and it's quickly become my favorite. The service here is consistently amazing. Every team member is incredibly friendly. The Best Starbucks around. Always fast and friendly customer service. We got the Pumpkin Spice Lattes, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin muffin cream cheese. Coffee is hot, spicy, pumpkin heaven. You can guzzle this! The pumpkin flavor coats the pallet. The pumpkin bread and muffin were both very moist, sweet, and kinda savory. Home run! Love how this is on the Northern edge of Atown. When I visited there weren't very many customers, but... This is definitely one of the best starbucks. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. They were training a new employee and doing everything right. The restaurant was clean, and getting cleaner while I was there. Both bathrooms open and both bathrooms tidy. Convenient parking right outside the door with a nice outdoor dining area. Best of all, unlike so many starbucks, it was cool and fresh inside. read more

I take back all my crap talk about Starbucks after today's deal. On the way to soccer. Tell the kids to order what they want so we can pick it up on the way to the game. My daughter goes inside, comes back with nothing. Enters soccer Mom who is in a hurry! Barista looks up and asks what we ordered. I pull up the phone receipt. Kids ordered everything at the other Starbucks! Ugh! I was told not to worry, we'll make everything right now And get you to soccer. Didn't get charged, they said they would handle it. I've genuinely enjoyed coming to this Starbucks location during the pandemic. It's close to where I live and they've taken the safety protocols seriously. I feel safe going through their drive-thru and seeing that their company is doing what it can to keep their employees safe. Service, no matter the line, is usually very prompt. My normal order is a cafe americano with 1 cream 2 sugars. The cream and the sugar is always well mixed and I greatly enjoy the taste. That wasn't the case today. None of it was mixed and the americano tasted just awful until I got to the last half and all I can taste is cream and sugar. I've never had to need to mix it before so I was a bit surprised. I'll still come back to this location because again, the location is convenient, but I won't be ordering the americano for a while. I came in at about 1:38 today and the employee at the drive-thru window was friendly and prompt. We appreciated his customer service. It was fantastic. Just wish I got his name so I could give him a shout-out. read more

I have been to many Starbucks coffee shops in the U.S. and have finally found the best managed store I have ever been in. Their employees are well trained, courteous, and service oriented. The morning rush is a sight to behold as cars in the drive-thru lane are lined up around the building in the morning. They are led by a manager in training who has done a stellar job making sure that the employees pay attention to the details that make this place exceptional. read more

Not sure what has happened to our tried and true Starbucks? Odd hours, randomly closed at times when they usually would be open. Orders are wrong more often than not, and oh so slow! Came today at 4pm to a full drive thru lane (my first clue that all was not well). Took 36 minutes to get through the line and get my order!! We came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was empty save for one person. We ordered four drinks. A hot chocolate with no whip in a personal cup, a pink drink for my mom, and two cold brews. My dad got his hot chocolate in a Starbucks cup with whip cream. He had to ask for it to be swapped and no whip cream. He also noted it wasn't very hot and was asked if he'd like to re-order a hot chocolate extra hot. Common lady...just heat up the hot chocolate. And put it in the correct cup. My mom got her pink drink in no time. My girlfriend and I waited for our two colds brews (literally cold coffee already made, poured over ice) for about eight minutes before the barista asked what we were waiting for. We told her and she explained that the order never made it to here. Again, there are three employees in here, and one customer at this point. So after all the drink back and forth we were able to sit down outside and enjoy some time together. But yea, not a great customer service expericne here. read more

Below average starbucks experience. Barista lady was rude and told me to "hold on" even though there were literally no other customers in the store. It was weird. Frap I got was separated before I could pick it up and was missing the carmel I asked for. The depressing location goes hand in hand with the depressing experience. RUDE and aggressive. I ordered a simple coffee trap with whip cream. I asked the person taking the order for whip cream. When I got to the window the young lady just throws the drink at me and charged me for it. I asked politely for whip cream she grabs it back and than begins to inform me that next time I should let the person taking the order know before hand. I informed her I did and that the receipt clearly states add whip cream. She shrugs her shoulders and said she didn't take my order. Lol! I love Starbucks, I go almost everyday like some people think it's a problem lol but the last 2 times I went to this location, I went through the drive through and went inside but both times I got the same girl helping me. She's about 5'3", brown/blond hair in a ponytail, skinny, she wasn't wearing a name tag so I don't know her name, but both times, she has given me my drink wrong. My usual is the MangoDragonfruit Refresher and I get it made with green tea instead of water. That's it. Every time I order it I get it nice and purple, just how I like it. But both times she has handed me my drink it didn't have the fruit inclusions in it. Not a big deal but I haven had to say I wanted the fruit inclusions every single time I order it. Anyway, there's that, and also both times she's helped me, when I would give my drink back and asked for the fruit inclusions she wouldn't even speak to me let alone smile or anything. She would just take it like I had just killed her dog and had ruined her day. I wasn't even mad at not having fruit in my drink. I've been in customer service and I know sometimes you're just not having a good day but it's not the customers fault. I feel she could work on her connection with the customers.
