This is by far the worst Starbucks I've been to. I understand this is a busy location, but employees are outright rude to customers and careless about orders. This isn't a Dick's Last Resort last I checked. No "thank you's", "I'm so sorry for the delay", etc, instead you get nasty stares and attitude. I spoke to soon on an update review...so re-editing my update to reflect the truth. This drive-thru is "janky". The drinks are not consistently good. Plus, long wait times that are inefficient for a Drive thru...the pace is just not even. You're better off going inside instead of foolin around w/the drive-thru. read more

ARGH!!!! This was the umpteenth time I've been thru a 6 car deep drive thru line only to find out that they are out of very berry refresher....or soy milk...they can't seem to keep stock of anything I go there for. The location and the fact that there is a drive thru lane is great but they ruin everything by more than half the time not having what I come to Starbucks for. I have complained and spoken to management on this problem and nobody seems to be able to solve the problem. I only hear lame excuses. Just to list a few I can remember.... "We're a very high volume store." "We changed distributors." "The floods in Dallas delayed the truck." There is a Starbucks in the Randall's store at spicewood and mesa that does a good job but doesn't have a drive thru. Came here for my birthday breakfast this morning and was extremely disappointed with some of the staff here. I never come here because I've never had a good experience, but decided to try it one more time. The guy made my drink wrong (who I will not call out by name) and I hesitated to get it fixed. However after spending $30 I felt like the drink should be what I ordered. Needless to say, he was not happy and treated me very poorly. When we first landed in town - this is the closest Starbucks to where we live, but I was dissapointed that the tables were so dirty. Seems to me that cleanliness has become the order of the day, and things have improved since then. This location is always busy with some sort of student group or other type of gathering in the lobby - but it isn't as laptop friendly as other places, so there is more conversation and less atomization (which is always good). This location is a favorite of the local knuckle gnawer OCD guy. I haven't seen him at any of the other Starbucks, but he manages to show up right before or right after I did. Strange. read more

I visited this starbucks today on my way home from work. I stopped simply because they had a drive-thru... well, that and I felt like treating myself to a skinny mocha. Addictive! I must say that when I drove up to order, I was greeted by a very friendly voice that ACTUALLY sounded sincere. (Not like someone was behind this guy pulling his puppet strings) After ordering my drink, I pulled up to the window, where the niceness continued with both the guy who took my order and then the barista who handed me my drink. I love that I can count on starbucks to deliver a delicious skinny mocha every time! I love that the folks at this particular starbucks deliver a smile with my skinny mocha. The staff is impeccable - always friendly and warm. They really go out of their way to remember individual people and what they prefer to order. Everything is clean, tidy and I love the sense of teamwork and camaraderie present in the staff. The offerings are always great, and they've never failed to fix a drink if it hasn't been exactly what I wanted. I always feel safe in trying something new here because of that. Unlike many other Starbucks, this branch insists on putting a green spill stopper in your coffee, for those of us who can't get from the register to our table without making a mess. Those more environmentally aware branches put the stoppers in a cup at the register to give the customer the option of avoiding needless LANDFILL. They don't even ask if you want one...... read more

Super close to my house. We come here often and more often than not get very rude service. Both at drive thru and counter service. I have no doubts that they get some rude, agro caffeine addicted people in here often, but damn, the staff is making the rest of us real uncomfortable. This is a large Starbucks that is in a great central location. There is not many places to plug your computer in. I find it is a great place to do a one on one with someone that is coming from South Austin. I am out in the Four points Area so it is somewhat of a half way point. It is a quieter Starbucks. I have been disappointed by this Starbucks twice now. I save my rewards points to get a nice, hot caramel macchiato as a treat on a long day. I love the caramel on top, and specifically asked for extra, but instead got...NONE. Both times. I know it's super pedantic to complain about that, but I specifically asked for it. This is my favorite Starbucks to go to. The line always moves very quickly, even if it's really long. And the guy at the drive thru window is always super nice. I also like that my coffee is never so hot that it burns my tongue, but it's the perfect temperature. And my croissant is always warmed up. read more

I went here the other day and ordered a Vente Cool Lime drink around 5:42pm. I thought it would be the regular wait in line ordeal, get my drink then go. Not this time, not this place. For whatever reason they must have misplaced our order or mixed them up. They had to other customers receive there drinks before I received mine. Then when the person I am with decided to ask about it, "we were just wondering about when our drinks would be ready"...The response from the man was, "You see us making it, don't you?" I can't tell you how appalled I was at this lack of courtesy. I will not be going back to this location ever again. There are other locations where they actually care. read more

This is one of the many Starbucks that I frequent on a weekly basis. I have had nothing but excellent experiences from this location. My drink is always made to perfection, and I am always treated like a member of the family. There were even a few times when someone made a mistake and I got two drinks instead of one! Way too much trouble for $2.00. Long story short they goofed my drive thru order and I did not know it until I got home. It was for a Grande black coffee, pretty simple (Dissatisfier #1). They got it wrong so I called back and the girl found the ticket and tried for maybe 15 minutes to back out the charges. (Dissatisfier #2) When she could not back it out because the system was new, she took my number and promised to have the manager call me. I waited 6 days for that call (Dissatisfier #3). I called the manager who appologized and promised to back out the $2. I waited 5 days for the refund to hit my bank (Dissatisfier #4). So I drove down there and asked to see the manager and he was not there. The people behind the counter did not know when anyone would be around but finally called the manager and he handed me the phone. I reminded him of why we were talking and he had the girl on the register put the $2 back on my card. He also gave me a handfull of free drink coupons. I called the district manager to get an email address and have not heard back. Anyway, it's not the $2. It's the fact that they refuse to follow up and just let it ride until I forced the issue. If they stood behind their product they would have gotten it right or at least pursued it until it was resolved. The manager's name or franchise owner's name, or district manager's name was not posted anywhere and the counter help had to pull their personal cell phones out to get the number for the district manager's contact info. For a multinational they should do better. read more

Virtually no customer service---so unlike the typical Starbucks that you've grown to love. Normally this is my favorite location due to the streamlined drive thru where two people take orders in the line - or rather two lines & que you into one line, you pay them with a card there or cash at the window where you simply pick up your order & drive away. My favorite order taker is a youngish African American gentleman (so sorry your name escapes me !!) He's ALWAYS friendly & cheerful no matter the weather or how busy it is & I adore the barista "Happy" at the window....or the rare occasions I go inside. But today is the third MONUMENTAL "eff up" the window has made with my drink. I order THE SAME latte every single time. A Venti Latte with 5 shots of espresso and 3 pumps of vanilla & 3 pumps of coconut......NO SOY, NO LOW FAT, NO NON FAT....FULL ON GIVE ME MY FAT !!! GIVE ME MY CAFFEINE !!! I am paying over $7.00 freaking bucks for this drink, one hopes one receives the correct drink. A smarter person in less of a hurry might continually check her drink before pulling away from the window...but NO, I trustfully & STUPIDLY drive away concsious of the 40 cars behind me on my butt all waiting for their coffee too....I get to work ready to take my sip of NIRVANA....and today's surprise is a soy nonfat artificial sweetened toffee flavored abomination that I immediately spit out. I'd rather drink the FOLGERS that my office keeps for emergencies......DAMN, I hate this. I called & was told to simply bring it back for an exchange - no questions asked by Angela. Kind of hard to leave when you're the office manager of a multi physician office....but you bet at lunch I'm headed there for my 5 shot fix because my butt will be dragging. I think I'll be returning to Genuine Joe or Sorrento's for awhile.....it's worth hauling my butt out of the car to support a LOCAL business & to be sure my order is correct.
