The employees on my recent visit were not friendly; I'll just contribute that to wanting to be very focused on their jobs. But it really seemed like they were just going thru the motions and not wanting to engage with the public. Ok, fine. Service was OK. I only went through the drive-through so can't remark on what it's like to go inside. However, my coffee didn't taste very good. I got a cappuccino with heavy cream. Several Stevia poured in and requested an extra hot. The extra hot part seemed to work, however it tasted more like a brewed coffee and not like a cappuccino like there was no espresso in it. I normally really like their espresso, but for some reason, this one didn't seem to have much flavor almost like they only took one shot in instead of two or they made a mistake. It just poured brewed coffee in with the cream. Whatever happened it wasn't very good. read more

Getting in and out of this location of Starbucks can be a challenge. Parking is not the easiest to maneuver and the drive-through is shall we say restrictive... Just not a lot of real estate... This Starbucks seems to be an old school location, but the staff is always kind to me and fast in getting drink orders made. It is close to my studio so it's a convenient stop for me, particularly as the Chase Bank branch is where I make my deposits. Parking is not always the best, but I like the interior of the store as it's comfy and usually not crowded. Recommended. read more

First I ordered the drink and after I got it I decided I wanted something to eat. but when the lady was going to put the food on the counter she looked at me and threw it on the counter and walked away. It is time for Yelpers to stop hating Starbucks. To be sure, their espresso is awful. To be sure, any drinks that are dependent on pure espresso quality such as a flat white are also awful. But to my mind, the critiques stop there. * * * I don't care if Starbucks is a big corporation. I don't care if Howard Schultz is rich as Croesus, and kind of a jerk. I don't care if small independent coffee shops play better music. I don't care if the indies have more originality, heart and soul. At the end of the day, this is how I judge a coffee house. a) How are the drinks? b) How is the food? c) Is this a good place to work? * * * a) The Drinks. Starbucks makes better lattes than anyone else. There. I said it. I'll say it again. Starbucks makes better lattes than anyone else. Never mind the fact that they have strange flavors like pistachio and sushi ripple. (Okay, no sushi ripple quite yet.) Starbucks flavors - whether traditional or "flavor of the month" tend to be very good. Lattes in other places often leave a rough taste in my throat - which I think reflects poor handling of the milk. Milk quality is never an issue at a Starbucks. Starbucks lattes are smooth and suave and good. They also do a hot chocolate that is markedly better than the hot chocolate in competing establishments. So I am generally happy with what is in my cup at a Starbucks. b) The Food. The food at indy places ranges from marvelous to awful. There are coffee houses with legendary food. I love those places. But Starbucks food is never bad. If you want something hot and with protein, Their sous vide egg bites just can't be beat. They are small. The versions without bacon are low calorie. They are good for you to boot. For strip mall breakfast, you can do a lot worse. And, just for the record, the baked goods are pretty decent too. c) As a workplace. Starbucks are always pretty places to be in. They tend to have very good access to sockets - although some Starbucks are better at this than others. The tables have good work spaces - although sometimes you will end up sitting in a comfy chair or on a sofa waiting for table space to be vacated. The chairs and sofas aren't too bad. The internet is reliable which is a big deal. I have torn my hair out when the internet has gone down in some of the more famous indie coffee shops in Austin. They don't have good playlists. But the music I have on my laptop (or the music I can stream from my streaming services) is much better than what most coffee houses play anyway. I go to Starbucks. I get a lot done. * * * So on all the things that matter - except quality of base espresso - Starbucks is fundamentally good. Good drinks. Good food. Good workspace. As a cost of doing business, your drink will have to be flavored. Drink Green Tea Lattes and thrive. read more

This is the Starbucks near my hood. The Manager is always cordial and treats her associates well and with respect. She also does a great job at managing daily operations. Based on my observations, she hires people with good work ethics and friendly personalities. There are no slackers at this location (or anywhere in Austin,...They all left in the 90's). I mention this because poor management is a death blow to any business.. The Manager does an exemplary job at making sure this Starbucks runs well. Yeah, This location has the same Starbucks fare, but they are consistently friendly and get the drink orders right almost every time. They also take pictures of many of the dogs that pass by the window. They post the picts on their website. I recommend this Starbucks location over som others because of the service you are certain to receive. read more

I always have consistent great service here and I always appreciate when I can find a Starbucks drive thru! They always take care of the pup, the boys, and my needs. Yesterday I was having a really rough morning, just emotionally feeling some grief due to a loss. In my oatmeal bag I found an extra bag. I instantly smelled smoke when I walked in the building. Went straight to the bathroom and it both were absolutely atrocious. Saw a pack of cigarettes on the floor. Instantly gave me a headache. Each time I've been here it has been a huge team of all females. They are so sweet and quick. It's been crazy busy each time (right around 9am) but hardly any wait at all. The mobile order is always the best choice for me. Parking could be a huge hassle but I'm able to walk there from work so no big deal. The drive thru line has definitely gotten crazy long, so just be mentally ready. Today was the first time getting the sous vide eggs whites and they were so delicious! My normal order is the spinach egg white wrap and I'm so glad to have found a new item to rotate in. read more

This really helped make a terrible start to the day a little bit better. I had placed an order on my way when the battery to my car completely died. I called ahead to let them know I wouldn't make it, and the employee at the end of the line was really sweet and understanding. They told me they would hold my order until I was there so that it would be fresh. Over an hour later, the person working the drive thru laughed and said that they had heard the story. It only took about a minute to get everything ready and they took the time to leave a note, which I really appreciated. This is my go to Starbucks since it is closest to my job. I could stop at locations I pass along the way, but the staff here is the coolest and they always have taken really good care of me whether it be in the drive thru in the morning or inside the cafe on my lunch breaks. If my drink comes out wrong they happily remake it and they make the best tasting blonde espresso, some locations burn it but theirs always tastes light and fresh. They are so accommodating and always seem happy to be there. You guys are all super hard workers and I am thankful for you! Possibly the worse Starbucks I've ever been to. The store was dirty. The girl at the register was rude. The place was mostly empty but it took them 15 minutes to fix our drinks because she was talking to her friends that were there. Starbucks used to be the pinnacle of customer service. Which is what you come to expect when you pay for overpriced coffee. (Don't get me wrong i love their overpriced coffee, i drink it every single day) Waited in a long drive through line this morning due to it being the morning and also it was raining. That's understandable and fine, but when i did make it up to the window there was zero acknowledgement. I live in the neighborhood and find this Starbucks to be a real problem. Their drive thru regularly backs up into Balcones Drive blocking traffic during rush hour. They try to mitigate the problem by having a college student take orders outside for people queued up, but this just is not enough to make the drive thru work for the traffic volume they see every week day. I have seen several near accidents on Balcones Drive and several arguments between coffee clients trying to get into the drive thru and those queued in front of the drive way for the traffic light. This drive thru is a real problem for those living in the neighborhood. read more

Good job on the appearance of the store was amazing clean and well organized. The driving part of the store it is a little crowded but with the freaky fast delivery of your order you be out in a couple of minutes. Crack, crack and more white people crack. That's Starbucks. My crack of choice here: Venti Chai, no icky foam. Cheese Danish. They make these two things for me, just me and only me. But my delusion aside, the Chai is just good. it's easy to drink hot or cold, and it's consistent, which is why we go here, no matter what part of the world we are in, right? The Danish: OH MG! I am a serious connoisseur of these babies and have to say this one is tops. It's not bakery fresh awesome, but for a chain, it's dang good. No lemon flavoring in the cheese, thank goodness. I get so tired of that added flavor. And it's got a glaze of sugar on it, so each bite has sweetness and cheesiness. This location is a bustling one. Be prepared to wait in line, I've had to, many times. It's large inside, and they just did a revamp of the decor. I think it looks good and comfy. They never have yet to put the vanilla or sweet cream. Just whipped cream.
