My family ordered matcha creme frapp and pumpkin cream cold brew but then in the matcha crème frapp, there was bunch of hairs in it. When my sister was drinking that, she felt that some thing was in there so she checked and she found the hairs. So I mixed matcha crème frapp if there's more hair, and I found more than 5 hairs and those were long and black ish hair. I know, 5 stars for a freakin corporate coffee shop? But hear me out on this one. I used to always visit the Starbucks Barstow on Main St (the one across from the railroad-style Mc Donalds). But ever since I found out about this one because of an emergency bathroom break, this location is where I prefer to go from now on. This is conveniently located right off the Lenwood exit. Let your GPS guide you to the exact location. If you're coming from Cali....the plaza will be on your left hand side. -Plenty of wide parking stalls. -Haven't encounter any hobos/panhandlers. No "questionable" people either. I've gone here both day and night time. -Bathrooms are clean. (there's only one stall/one sink so there may be a line forming during peak times.) -Drinks have always been made correctly and customer service has been consistent. -I think they close at 10:30pm See? So they're clean, convenient, relatively safe area and good customer service. Def no complains here hence my 5 star rating. read more

Yikes!! This Starbucks located in Barstow started off right with a friendly cashier and good products. I ended up buying the "I (heart) PSL" tumbler lols, and she lured me to also get the buy 1, get 1 free promo on the instant coffees for Pumpkin Spice Latte. I was stoked and happy with some goodies and was waiting for my drink. I usually customize my drinks, but they are not complicated I swear haha. One sip and I wanted to spit it out.. instead of pumpkin my drink was filled with peppermint, aHhHh drink gone wrong. They say you can only do online orders. Watched a bunch of girls hang out and chat the whole time we were in the lobbing desperately were trying to download the app on a 3% battery. Only to find out we could have ordered right there on the spot (this was when a customer came in and was also not being helped.) I have no problem being COVID friendly. But it's obviously the girls didn't want to work and would rather hang and not take an order. I get it's more fun to talk with friend at work, but this store is fully capable of taking orders in store and are literally too lazy to help you order. read more

A little too little to handle the traffic. Let's face it, when you're right off the 15 in beautiful Barstow, there will be a coffee and snack crush. In this case, the lines for the bathroom were noticeable, and the service behind the counter was also noticeable. Now, mind you, these folks are obviously working hard - and especially during the Holiday rush. That said, when I opted for the Blueberry Oatmeal and the barista was a bit unsure of what accoutrement goes with it -- well, that's when I should have gotten cautious. Because, it's easy to do, but the worst case scenario with Blueberry Oatmeal at Starbucks is that they add too much water. It's a big ol soup. (I know, I know, major 1st World Problems). Still, soupy it was. And sure, if it wasn't so darn busy, I would have brought it back for a re-do. (Something that I have occasionally had to do over the years -- but not often) Anyway. In general, the food here is a lot healthier than some of its neighbors. Just try to go at an off-hour, or an off-day is my recommendation. read more

Holy crap!! This place is crowded but at least the AC is full blast and there is plenty of seats to chill at if you wish (or to sit at while waiting forever to use the restroom). Seems like this location is mainly used for to go orders and for restroom breaks. Customer service was sweet and surprisingly well put together on top of their orders. The barista that took my order was smiling and patient. The place itself was surprisingly cleaned as well and the drinks came out in speedy minutes. There was also more than enough baked goodies available if you were hungry. Sadly though the restroom line did not get short enough for me to use. I decided I didn't need to go THAT bad. Passing through and wanted a cold brew pumpkin cream. So yummy!! First I had to use the bathroom and it IS awkward. You have to pass the pick up area in a fairly narrow space to get to the bathroom. That would be fine if there wasn't a line to the bathroom so you have to let people know which line you are in. It would have been better to have put the pick up area on the other side. That said, the service was extremely friendly and my drink is delicious. And that is what I came for. Thank you!! read more

By far the worse location I've visited, ever. I ordered a Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte only to find the vanilla bean powder at the bottom of my drink. Imagine drinking your drink with all the powder coming up your straw? This is my go-to drink. I have it often and I've NEVER drank it that way. So needed a Starbucks and there was the sign. Scared my b/f to death making the last second decision to exit the freeway...lol. It's not where the sign you see from the freeway is; it is on the other side of the street AND don't turn into the first driveway that looks like it is where the Starbucks is, you can't get there and you can't go left - urgh! Well I drudged across the rock laden truck parking lot between where I was and where the Starbucks was; in 5" heels it was a challenge. Anyway, it wasn't too crowded, they were efficient and coffee was great. They have this new red pepper hummus with flaxseed crackers and 3 tiny slices of wrap. It was AWESOME. So, good and just enough. Now, after stopping here and getting back on the highway, I found that just up the road a few miles is another exit with another Starbucks. They had two different people taking orders and the line went rather fast and our barista was very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered Carmel macchiato one hot and one iced. #1 I came in here first to use the bathroom and the entire place was filthy, not properly maintained. #2 "Employee" Chris... Was rudely unhelpful towards my mom when she simply waited so patiently for his short burst of attention! Rudely on his phone behind the counter looking down at the screen, and passive aggressively forwarding his hand towards another employee to handle my moms question. She asked "How much are the Madeline cookies" And he looked at my mom with a stare "Like don't ask me anything, I'm doing something can't you see!!! Lenwood made the big time, it has the fabled "Starbucks across the street from a Starbucks" going on. This is the one on the east side, near the scary abandoned outlet mall. Not the one on the Carls Jr. side that's near a Subway and the Country Kitchen Hotel or whatever it was. Anyway. This one is a little smaller than the other and has a bit less seating overall, buuuuut I think it gets a little less traffic because it's not immediately off the highway exit like the other one is. Holy cow Batman. Ive traveled the globe and have used Starbucks some 2500 times (no joke) in at least 20 states and 6 countries in over 30 years, starting with my career in Seattle. I can unequivocally say, this store is the most mis managed trashed store I have ever seen - from any counter service operation, let alone a fully licensed Starbucks store. I was embarrassed for me, the thousands of people that stop in, for any level of management affiliated with the operation and for the company as a whole. The taller, slightly heavier set lady supervising has "I don't cate" tattooed on to her face in a way that's likely permanent. She's miserable. When we got into the long line at 8:30 am, after nearly spraining my wrist from the door handle about to fall off, we witnessed a female partner sweeping some 100 plus empty frozen pastry bags up from the floor by the oven. She later pulled together herself a vente iced tea, drained the iced tea pitcher into her cup at 3x strength, didn't replace the product from backup, bypassed the order chits for countless sandwiches where people were waiting 20-30 minutes for, made herself a sandwich and went on break. The restrooms make a Vegas truck stop stall look like the Four Seasons. The floor hasn't been properly mopped anywhere on site in weeks and the expression on everyone's face was of total horror. They were out cold brew (at 8am??), did not have any dark coffee made at (8am) and continued to stall out half made orders for everyone. The 4 staff working were so uncoordinated and improperly trained. Close the store, term the problem leader, retrain the post unemployment-havoc staff and get your shit together! read more

I told an employee and she looked at me with a bored look and said "yeah, I imagine so. Someone will be over there." Drinks came out in a few minutes. So far I have had a great experience with this place. We first found this place because driving in a truck, it can be hard to find a Starbucks that's accessible. This one is close to a few truck stops, and there's actually a dirt lot behind the Arby's down the road where you can park too. Being that we travel down the 15 quite a lot, we will probably be stopping here quite a bit. The first time here wasn't great, but the last time we stopped in was awesome. There was a huge line because a bunch of tour buses had just stopped, but they got through it very quickly. We did not wait more than 15 minutes to order and get our drinks. They made my boyfriend and I's drinks perfectly, and had excellent customer service as well. I know that we will be back soon, and I would suggest it to anybody traveling through the area. read more

Well it appears that everyone driving between Las Vegas and So Cal has decided to stop at this one Starbucks!!! We almost left but needed the caffeine. To our pleasant surprise they cleared the line quickly! The lattes we ordered tasted great. Given the place was packed it was rather clean. Small line to use the bathroom that was in fact clean. I prefer Starbucks with a drive-thru but it felt good to get out and stretch my legs. Good job staff at this busy little coffee shop! read more

We purchased a Starbucks tumbler cup, that was damaged and there is NOTHING SHE CAN DO WITH NO RECEIPT. Actually, this is a much superior Starbucks than the other one across the street. Every other car going to and from Las Vegas and Los Angeles stops at the other one (without a drive thru). The more inland you go, the perception is that the people are rougher and tougher. But, that's all a facade, and it quickly breaks down at this, and any, Starbucks. Even big biker guys stop by at this Starbucks order their coffee. And they actually acknowledge you while you stand around in line with them. This is an instant confidence booster and suddenly I found myself with a lot of street cred. I can imagine that this Starbucks would be a safe haven during the hot summer months. However, last week, the weather was perfect. Since most people end up going to the non-drive-thru version, this one is easier to order from. I can tell that this Starbucks is definitely where the locals go (however little that population actually is) because you see people who look more settled taking advantage of the wi-fi or reading a book rather than a family full of kids wearing loud t-shirts arguing over what to order. Though this Starbucks could easily make a career out of charging people to use their restroom, they don't. In fact, the restroom is not your typical single-stall restroom that most Starbucks have. They actually have two urinals and two stalls in the mens restroom alone! If my math serves me correctly, that means that the turnaround time for taking a piss is reduced by like 75% or something like that. If you need caffeine to stay awake, and you're going to Las Vegas from LA, and you need to stand up, and/or you need to use the restroom, this Starbucks is a must stop. read more

Although not as quick as other locations, the baristas were friendly and took their time to greet each customer. Our drinks were prepared as ordered.
